ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Location was a little off the main road. Rooms were clean and nice with bedroom being separate from sitting room and kitchenette. Nice that they serve breakfast and light dinner meal(during the week). Not sure that you'd really need a kitchenette in your room if the hotel is providing breakfast and dinner though. Service was good.

Wonderful property all around. Meals, amenities, decor, etc. Hot tub was actually hot and pool was nice a cool. Suite was fantastic with full kitchen, fireplace, etc. Really, a small apartment. Staff was friendly. Not far off of I-15. Became a Hilton Honors member because of this stay.

The staff were excellent. The room was clean comfortable and I was able to sleep pretty well in the bed. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. The only thing I wished was better was the lighting around the bathroom mirror. It's hard to shave when the only light is in the ceiling behind you and behind a ledge. No light hits your face and it makes it hard to see the hairs and trims while shaving. The breakfast, although hot, is the usual fare of soupy eggs, salty batter, and strange potato-like circles. But I came for the night's rest and competitive pricing. I was pretty satisfied.

This is got to be one of the coolest places to stay in the Murray area. They just redid everything and it is awesome! Plus who has continental breakfast and dinner?!

My stay was from 6/28 - 6/30/18. Morning or breakfast hostest, from Hawaii, was very pleasant and mannerable. Although my overall rating is positive, you need to do something about the black bugs. I had 3 nights of bugs in my room (#226).
Enjoyed fitness center. Need to stock clean towels though.

The hotel was clean and kept up for the most part. The layout of the hotel is very complicated and the front desk lady sent me on a wild maze to find my room which workers were outside of drilling holes in the ceiling. In the morning half way through my shower the power in the entire hotel went out for over 45 minutes which was not condusive to me getting to my work meeting on time.

The hotel is undergoing renovations and is dusty/noisy as a result. Elevator was finicky, kept having to push the door back open so it would close properly. It has great courtyard, and rooms were well appointed and spacious.

Comfortable, clean and modern apartment style accommodations. Helpful and extremely caring staff. Weekday Manager's Reception and daily hot breakfast buffet are great perks. This particular location was undergoing renovations during our stay, otherwise, I would have rated it 5 stars. This Midvale location is conveniently located just minutes from Salt Lake City, but away from the hustle, bustle and traffic.

We had an extended stay here and found the staff to be remarkably helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The complimentary breakfast is very generous as is the snack and drinks each weekday evening. I would highly recommend this hotel for family stays or those travelling on business that need a no fuss hotel where you can get things done. It looks like the current renovations are going to lift the standard of the rooms significantly and they were pretty good to start with.

This is a very convenient place for me to stay when I’m in town visiting my grandkids. For the most part it’s a very comfortable room. Generally pretty quiet and clean. The rooms are very dated and could use some updating. The little kitchen is a nice touch but could use a few more utensils. Overall it’s a nice place to chill after a long day with the little ones.

5

Friendly front desk staff. Halls smell like a locker room. Elevator is extremely inconveniently placed - you have to walk out of the lobby, through the courtyard, and down another hallway to get to it. Needless to say, this is a huge pain when you're hauling your luggage.

Very conveniently located for major ski areas including Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton. Bus stop in front of the hotel. Shopping and restaurants at walking distant. The hotel staff is very helpful setting you up with ski shops for rentals, lif tickets, discounts and more. Spacious rooms, complimentary hot breakfast, free snacks/food several evenings of the week. Plenty parking if you bring a car. The one downside is that the walls are paper thin and you hear everything.

I think this used to be a nice hotel. Now it's rundown and messy. The halls looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, candy and garbage under the bed and paint peeling all over the pool floor. The room was spacious though and the location convenient.

The hotel is within walking distance of everything you need or want, the staff is very friendly and makes sure all your needs are met, the rooms are very large, clean, and stock with everything you need to cook and clean. Best hotel in the area.

6

If this place were as nice as the staff I would give it a 5. Otherwise it's a 1-2 at best. The rooms are clean but literally falling apart. We would normally choose a holiday inn however it was just a little more to get a suite here with a separate living/kitchen/dining area. Free breakfast was a bonus and the pool area and parking was nice. Staff however went above and beyond to try and make our stay pleasurable, too bad they had to work so hard trying to fix so many silly inconveniences that come along with a facility that is long overdue for updating. Give these folks a raise and newer tools to work with and you've got a 5 star place on your hands.

This is our family's go to place in Salt Lake when we ski. Reasonable rates, close to the mouth of the canyon, great breakfast buffet included in the rate. Evening manager's reception, use to be better with a complete meal. Now more beer and wine. Not as conducive to family with kids and teens. So one star off for that.

We are on vacation coming here, and every time we come to Utah we get this hotel. It's in a central location and the price isn't too bad. It has basketball and a pool and hot tub and good breakfasts in the morning. Would definitely reccomend.

This hotel was great! We rented a 2 BR suite for our family for a week long ski vacation and it was really enjoyable. Each bedroom has a nice bathroom, nice beds and bedding, and a TV. The living room has a couch and TV area with a fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchenette (fridge, micro, stovetop, sink, dishwasher). The kids loved swimming in the pool après ski, and we enjoyed the Jacuzzi. The breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent! Lots of choices for food. Even our picky kid eaters had a great meal every morning. The dinner social buffet was a nice bonus on Sun-Thurs nights. There was enough food to keep us from needed to travel out to get dinner after a long day of skiing. It was a nice home-base for the week, close to shopping, and close to skiing (Solitude/Brighton and Snowbird/Alta). The only drawback was the kids could hear people in the room beside them late at night being rowdy, but this is more of an issues of people being respectful than fault of the hotel. Yes, I would definitely recommend to a friend.

LOVED Staying here. We were supposed to be at a 5 star MUCH higher priced hotel for a conference. We stayed here and it came a FREE hot breakfast and free happy hour daily. It was less than a mile away from our conference hotel, and we were MUCH more comfortable. It had a full kitchen, and was like an apartment. I would definitely stay here again. Very good value for the money spent.

Social night is nice. Room wasn't ready at check in. The layout of the room is odd - only one door to the bathroom in a suite? Random door to water heater is not locked (so is always partially ajar). The couch is pretty dingy. Bedding seems clean.

Surprisingly good food at provided meals. Very friendly and eager to help staff. Beds in the 2nd bedroom of the suite are full sized, not queen, so they might be a bit tight for two. Overall it was a very nice stay.

So far the hotel has been great! We stayed at a suite on the third floor and also visited the indoor pool. My only complaint is that the walls at the hotel seem to be a bit thin. We apparently woke the neighbors up by being too loud. We really weren't that loud, so either we had very cranky neighbors or thin walls. However, the overall quality is very nice. The beds are comfy and there was enough room for seven of us to fit in one suite, even if it was a little tight. The breakfast was great as well! Loved the waffles!

9

The particular suite that I stayed at was in as perfect a location as I could imagine, everything one would need while staying in a hotel was just a short walk away, from a large variety of restaurants to business oriented establishments, all within a 1-2 mile radius. The rooms were quite well kept, very clean, and very homey, with a full kitchen, bathroom, and plenty of space. The service was also excellent, staying out of the way and being perfectly polite.

The hotel is nice. It's not gonna be the most incredible place you've ever stayed, but everything is clean and nice. If you plan to have your vacation at a fancy hotel, don't come here. But if you just need a place to sleep (and a rather nice place, at that) I do recommend the Homewood Suites.

The hotel is tucked away from the main road ; this makes things quiet. The room was clean and well maintained and very comfortable. What was really noticeable was the customer service approach of both the evening and morning staff... Very warm welcome, eager to help, offering great suggestions on where to eat and what was going on on the holiday. Always smiling... Made you feel comfortable and at home.

We got a 1 bedroom suite with kitchenette for a similar price to a regular hotel room. Free wifi, breakfast and even a free dinner M-Th that was unexpected. It wasn't super fancy but also above average in my opinion. They let us check in early when a room was available and were very pleasant. Would recommend this hotel! Close to many things.

This was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. The bed was comfy, the amenities were amazing and well worth the price. The staff at the desk recommended a wonderful restaurant just down the street and made our stay extra special (Bohemian). We wanted a particular room in the hotel and they did all they could to make that happen. Complimentary breakfast and dinners on the weekdays made the price even more worth it (my husband and I would have spent upwards of $35.00 for each of these meals which would bring the cost of the room down to about $35 each night if you take the cost of these two meals out of the equation). We stayed one night with the intention of going to another hotel for the rest of our stay, but ended up coming back to Hometown Suites because it was SO much better than the other hotel we made a reservation at.
