ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

I enjoy this hotel every time I visit. It's in walking distance to a lot, the river view is beautiful, and their happy hour is always great. The suites are enormous, clean, and comfy. Highly recommend. (View from the breakfast/ happy hour space)

I loved the hotel! I read the reviews before booking and they didn't seem so bad. I booked my reservation on the phone because all the hotel online companies were giving some high rates. I was able to use my state discount and got a great deal. The hotel was clean, we love our room which had a little den area with a kitchen, then a room that we could closed the door! Yes the bathroom light is the bomb for pictures! The roof top pool is small but enough fun for the kiddos. Great spot to see the river walk and walk to all the cool downtown spots. The free breakfast has everything and is so good! The only blah was the $29 valet parking with parking tax, lol! We will definitely come stay again and really liked the great customer service! I'm a mom who really appreciates a kid friendly place like this.

Mostly clean. The staff for the most part were nice. One individual did not seem to like her job and she spent more time on her personal phone than helping customers. Comfy beds and a good distance to most attractions downtown. Good price for what you get!

It was a great hotel with absolutely fantastic service!! They took money off of our price because we had a minor issue in our room and Robert did an excellent job of fixing the problem. He was super friendly and outgoing too. I would highly recommend this reasonably priced hotel in the heart of downtown Houston.

Great complimentary breakfast! Great view and quick access to the river walk. Loved that the room was nice and cold when we came in to the room because it was not a window unit.

Great check-in clerks.... even with late arrival. Several, not tons, of items on the breakfast buffet. Fun reception mixer during week night evenings. Immediate access to riverwalk. Generous room in suites.

Really enjoyed the say in San Antonio, great location, away from the crowd. The room was large enough for a family of 4. However, my husband and I enjoyed, the comfort of the living space. Cocktail hour, and breakfast made our stay even more enjoyable. The only problem we had was, the temperature of the shower went from hot, to cool throughout our shower. Would recommend, and stay again as well. MUST GO TO BOUDRO'S!!!

I really enjoyed my stay here... this is a nice hotel with super nice people. The facility is well maintained and is really cool. I love the lobby area that looks out to the riverwalk. The room was nice there was plenty of room. I had a decent view out my window. The room was in great shape. I will stay there again. The guest reception was nice every day

I took a group of 20 people to the hotel this week and and pleased to share that everyone was very happy with the hotel and service. Location was great. On the river and close to all activities. Michelle in the Group Department was great to work with. Dolores was the hostess for Happy Hour and made everyone feel as though we were her personal guests. The food and drinks she prepared were awesome. Since we had an early departure before breakfast, I requested some muffins be made available in the lobby by 6:00 am. We received a nice selection of fresh pastries, fruit and coffee. Rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. I recommend the Homewood Suites to anyone visiting San Antonio.

Location is convenient to downtown and the riverwalk but the hotel feels very musty and old. Elevators might as well be running on steam power, leave 5 minutes early if you don't want to take the stairs. Conference rooms are small and only suitable to very small groups.

Decent breakfast, rooms have odd pillars that make navigating one side of a king size bed difficult, but the suite is nice. The bed is comfortable, kitchen is stocked with cookware and utensils. The bathroom is very small however.

Nice location, on the river, all suites. If you get 1 bedroom with 2 beds, you will get the wall view. The river view is rooms with king bed. Rooms and hallways could use an upgrade. The lobby is a little better. Free breakfast and the slow Wi-Fi. No outdoor patio to the river. You have to use room key to get in hotel all the time. No self parking only valet, $27/day. The only advantage is the cathedral is 5 min walk and there is a light presentation at the cathedral on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9, 9:30 and 10 pm.

I have stayed here during PAX since 2015. Each year has been a positive experience. The suites are a bit meandering, but that mostly means a little more space than recently built buildings. The have a good breakfast, good showers, and good kitchen space. The roof pool is kinda meh. I intend to stay here in the years to come, barring any significant decrease in quality.

Stayed here for a convention. Since it's an extended stay, the room was fairly large with a separate bedroom. No tub, just a slightly dated walk in shower. Location is adjacent to the Riverwalk, but not along any restaurants. It's probably for the best, since it's a quieter environment. Would recommend this place for the price.

The room was great for our family. The booking process could have been better, and the front desk and breakfast staff was not the friendliest. Great location but not our number one place stay, but would make the top 3.

I was in town for one evening only. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend valet parking as it's 3 blocks to the nearest public parking and it costs $1/hour with a 12 hour minimum, when valet is $15 for the day. The staff was friendly and knowledge when it came down to things to do in the area. The hotel is on the Riverwalk which during Xmas is lit with lights. I'll be coming back soon. Thanks

I loved the room, parking, view and staff! However I would have liked more choices in breakfast than pork. The main part of the breakfast were both pork related items. (Eggs with pork and pork sausages) the next day (eggs with pork again and bacon)

We stayed Tuesday August 8 through Friday August 11. I must say we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly. They have a full hot breakfast which was great. They also have dinner and free alcoholic beverages Monday through Thursday. The rooms were very big and the beds were comfortable with nice feather pillows. I would recommend. I would definitely stay there again. Parking was $27 a night plus tax.

Nice location directly beside the river. There was dust on top of the fridge and on the shelf in the bathroom. There was a dark red stain drop on the bathroom door post. There was a lot of hair on the shower wall and behind the bathroom door on the floor when we arrived in our room. When housekeeping came to clean the room while we were gone, they only changed out the towels and left toiletries minus the soaps. They also did not change out the kitchen towels. There was no knife to cut a watermelon just butter knives and when we called for one they said housekeeping left for the day. Parking for small vehicles is $29.23 and larger vehicles is $37.89. The pool is on the roof.

The pool was really small and always packed and there were no clean towels just all the used ones, this place is only valet parking ($27/day) which we had called weeks before and asked whether there would be any additional fee and they didn't tell us about that. The breakfast was good & the ladies were very nice. The front desk receptionist, Destiny, is super sweet and always smiling. Really only giving 5 stars for her :)

Good hotel for the price. Easy access to the riverwalk and very close to many of the attractions. The rooms are just ok. The paint job in the suite was pretty bad. Uneven lines, wall color on the ceiling. The shower was tiny. If you are the slightest bit overweight, you won't fit. If you are 6ft tall, be prepared to squat. Weirdly, no trashcan in the bathroom. Fitted sheets were stretched out so they popped off the corners.

It was OK. The hotel is decent, but outdated. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on in a Hilton chain. I agree with another user about the toothbrush. They don't have disposable toothbrushes for when you forget yours. Even diamond members can't get one that you have to pay a $1.50 for. They have a monopoly going at this place on toothbrushes. I have never been in a hotel that charges for them. I just used my finger. I will not stay here again and use my points. Trust me, there are Hiltons on the River that are way better for the same price.

My three sisters and I have always used Homewood Suites for our "sister" trip which we take every other year. Last trip the shuttle service was stopped without notice and now this year the Managers Reception dinner has been reduced to light finger snacks, again with out notice! Whats next ? As we ladies get older these services were very important to us. Please reconsider and put these back. Did I mention that the price went UP at each stay? Pay more receive less. Hope that is not your motto.

The Hotel is conveniently located to the Riverwalk. It is also with in walking distance to the Historic Alamo. This hotel has a good view of the Riverwalk from the main lobby and dining room. The pool on the roof is tiny but does provide pretty views of the city. And who can beat a free breakfast.

I think the Homewood Suites Ty Hilton in San Antonio at the Riverwalk is an excellent Hotel. I think they have tremendous customer service and really go out of their way to help their customers. I would love for the happy hour to be a little longer in the evening Kama especially if there is food and or drinks that are still available. The only negative that I can see that outright is the popcorn ceilings bring the appearance of quality down a notch.

I soooo want to give 5 stars but we are currently staying here and I must say that I am disappointed in one particular breakfast worker. She has been consistently rude to several patrons just in the brief time that we were eating our breakfast. The coffee ran out (all 3 varieties) and she had no interest in refilling. Thank goodness for the One other breakfast worker, she was friendly and polite-a shame she is having to do all the work for both! Hopefully I can re-post more positives soon!

When we checked in they gave us a room that A/C didn't work. We had to change rooms, then the Internet didn't work, we have a two bedroom suite and the shower in one of the bathrooms changes from hot to cold on it's own. I called the front desk to get an extra luggage rack, they said they would send one right away, two days later we're still waiting for it. The Housekeeping is a disaster, they didn't clean the hairs in the bathroom floor, a five year old would make a better job making the beds. I called the front desk and ask to speak with the Manager, they said he was gone for the day, they said he would call in the morning, it's almost noon, and I don't expect him to call. I'm HHonor's member and I must say the Hilton Family Hotels are very good except this one. if you can stay somewhere else, you will be better off.
