ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Size, layout and amenities of room just great. Every time you pass the desk, they are happy to dispense free bottled water. But Residual dust all over room. I reported to desk: nothing changed. Beware the feather pillows if you are allergic. The pool and spa hit tub are very nice, but to call them "rooftop" is a stretch. Any hotel with a pool should have someplace in the room to hang wet things, but it is very hard to hang anything wet in this room. The free breakfast is plentiful and delicious, but somebody needs to fix the slamming door between the dining area and the terrace. Very disturbing repeated noise. Valet parking is efficient and professional, but I was unused to paying $42 daily to park! Overall, I think I would try someplace different upon returning to San Diego. Oh, and do not give your clothes to the hotel to launder unless you want to pay more than $10 per garment even underwear!

Great location and very nice and modern looking hotel. On the other hand our housekeeping wasn't the best. We received a stained/dirty towel and our trash wasn't disposed on the second day. I spoke to the front desk and they were helpful. Big plus was Eddie, the breakfast staff member. He was always so cheerful and nice in the mornings. Very sweet man and we appreciated his service. The pros did outweigh the cons so I would come back, but just be mindful of the towels, I almost used it on my toddler!

**Update: They said they would take off the valet parking charge for one of the days I stayed there since they gave us poor housekeeping and they never removed the charge. I will not go back! Removed 2 stars from rating.

Several lows prevented our stay from being excellent. Highs: decent breakfast every day, dinner, on the light side, but included Monday through Thursday, good sized family room with 2 queens and sofa bed. Lows: pool area very small and always packed when we wanted to go (tried about 5 times, all nowhere to sit), hotel generally clean, but we stayed a week, and didn't seem to get anything beyond clean towels and beds made (specifically had to request soap, shampoo, and tp on day 3, also toilet was not cleaned until we requested it on day 6), have to wonder what else was glossed over, transportation is limited, valet parking 42 a day, train is about 10 minute walk, which is long after spending all day wandering around comic con. Ordered room service dessert on our last night, they messed up the order, so we waited 90 minutes, they took 50% off, but it was still $32 for 4 tiny desserts. For almost $500 a night, I had higher expectations.

We were initially checked into a room that hadn't been cleaned and there was even pop still in the toilet. When we called, they said they were sold out and could not change rooms but they would send housekeeping over. It wasn't until I asked to speak with the manager that they said to come down with new keys. Never got to speak with the manager and all I got was a "sorry, the system showed it as clean." Not exactly a stellar first impression.
The second room was much cleaner of course but still showed signs of dust (but that's just probably the hotel manager in me inspecting) plus a hair on the sheets. Our stay was comfortable for the most part and I genuinely appreciated that they gave us water upon checkout since it was such a hot day.

We had a wonderful stay here before and after our cruise. Highly recommend this hotel for families. At check in they offered us bottled waters. They also remembered us by name each day which was really nice. There is a convenient little shop behind reception with beer and drinks, quick service snacks. Pool was great. The rooms are very comfortable. A full kitchen, living room with pull out sofa, separate bedroom and bathroom. Our family of 4 had plenty of room. Easy 2 block walk to the water and really convenient to get to the airport or cruise terminal quickly.

The location is fantastic! Great views and easy access to all that Little Italy has to offer. The rooms seem nicer than they are. The air is always a little stuffy, leaving one wishing to crack open one of the stunning floor to ceiling windows. The service is superficially pleasant, but often lacking. (We've had to request the same thing multiple times before it gets taken care of, etc.) There is one manager who always seems to go out of her way to make us feel un-welcome. The staff in the lounge are really the Stars!

Very nice support, everything reachable closed to the hotel. Laundry, gym, a warm and sunny pool on the 2. floor. The breakfast is great for an american hotel! ...Only thing the hotel is new but looks oldfashioned, probably to attract certain visitors. Dark brown furniture, brown carpet, brown shadowed windows... Rather brown and dark the inside, you should be used to this...

Good location, decent building. Suites are spacious with good ambience. Kitchen amenities are good and room was clean. I found floor carpet was torn at many places. A small swimming pool is located at 2 floor. Free breakfast & reception (M-T) but limited options.

Nice property with a great location. It is both a Homewood and Hilton Garden Inn.

Nice workout room with several machines and free weights.

Find a pool and hot tub across the way. The property has a snack area and a restaurant. It is seafood based and hosts a happy hour.

Within walking distance to shopping and other restaurants.

Newer contemporary extended stay hotel.Location is convenient and suites are large and nicely laid out. Complementary breakfast everyday. FREE Happy hour every week night. Front desk service is good. Restaurant food is unacceptable. Internet is spotty. Still the price to overall value is good.

Super convenient location - quick ride to airport, best restaurants within just a few blocks, easy to navigate to any other neighborhood from Little Italy. Great street market nearby on Saturday mornings. Modern and very clean hotel with the friendliest staff. This will be my go to hotel for future visits.

Very nice, my number 1 choice for hotels in this price range. Love the location near little Italy and the crack shack as well as close to the water. Rooms are clean and comfy. Only downside is how slow the tv/guide menu is. Internet is above average for what I have experienced at hotels previously. Great place.

Arrival was fine. Front staff was courteous. My issue is with the room. There were food crumbs in the living room and hair on the bathroom floor and shower. There is a single set of silverware in the whole kitchen. The microwave light is still on daylight savings time. When we out for dinner we told the front desk about the food on the floor. We were gone two hours. When we returned it was still there.

Not far off from the coastline. Very impressive room we stayed in. Nice, clean, tidy, and mondern. The usual complementary breakfast and an accommodating staff. The only knock I have against it is the $40 overnight parking for hotel guests. A bit extreme, if you ask me, but other than that, no complaints!

Clean and comfortable big suite with nice kitchen is just great for a family trip. The only problem for this hotel is the valet parking only policy. Be ready for the $40 dollars extra cost per day.

We had a great time here. The views from the room were beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The only con was paying $40 for overnight parking or scrambling to find a free parking spot across the street.

The lobby is nice and clean. When we first checked into our room we notice the kitchen floors were dirty with dirt tracks and trash. Then we notice the bathroom floor was dirty too, but worst we notice pee all over the toliet seat. So immediately we called for our room to be clean. They sent someone up right away to clean the floors, toliet, sweep, and vacuum, etc. After all that we just relaxed and enjoyed the room. Just not a good first impression on the room. Oh yeah and the sofa bed is very springy and uncomfortable. My kids hated it!

Nice (but long) checkin process. Explained EVERYTHING about the hotel haha. Room is way updated. Gym is nice but pool is nicer. Breakfast is good. Restaurant available too. Evening social has wine and beer. Clean. $40/night valet parking. No self parking option.

Nice, new, modern hotel. Provides happy / social hour Monday through Thursday from 5 till 7 pm. You can grab some food (selection depends on the day of the week; they change it every day) and get beer or wine. This is the second time I am staying at this hotel, and this time I encounter a problem with water pressure when taking a shower in the morning. I did stay on the top floor so that may have contributed to the problem. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to business and family travelers.

Nice, newer, clean hotel in great location. Full kitchen and nice showers. Rooms are plenty big. Nice areas near lobby to hang out. Close to water and a shirt walk to the oldest bar in SD. Also close to ballast point and bolt breweries. My only negatives are that the elevators can be very slow and if you're a vegan, some days the free breakfast had very few options. Some days they did have potatoes, others days just a little fruit to choose from. Should have potatoes everyday..

Stayed from Friday, July 21st 2017 to Monday, July 24th 2017. Time well spent!! A great location! Large suite with king size bed, front desk was very helpful in providing directions, breakfast was full and complete as anyplace you will ever stay. The manager, Mark, was easy to speak with and assisted at breakfast indicating a pride in property. So many places inside to chill and relax. Fruit water and cookies in the afternoon hit the spot too.

The room itself was very nice and roomy. There was a king bed and a couch that could fit two more people. I liked that it came with a fridge so I could keep my food and drinks cold. There is free breakfast buffet daily from 6 to 10 and it wasn't too bad. My main gripe is the $40 overnight valet parking. I opted instead to park at Laurel airport parking for a night and just walk to the hotel. I would definitely consider staying here again though

My experience has been subpar to say thr least . Firstly the hotel is nice , modern and upgraded, but when we got here they didn't have the room we booked available. I booked a double bed suite online and paid before even getting there , when we got there they said they in had one king with a pullout couch. So I'm currently on said pull out bed and let me day it is very very cheap and uncomfortable. To me it's strictly unacceptable to have room booked specifically to my needs and only when I get there do I find out its not available. They did comp free parking but there's free street parking anyhow, and it won't make up for a bad nights sleep. I also called to get extra blankets and they never came! We have never stayed at one of these hotels and wated to try. I was going we might book another night and make it a great weekend but after tonight I think we will simply leave at checkout.

I stayed here for 5 nights and though it wasn't my first pick (check out Andaz in Gaslamp!) I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The decor is great, the rooms are nice, and prices are reasonable. What's really nice is that Little Italy is a short walk away.

I am surprised of how much work went into the service of this hotel. It is only a few weeks old and that must feel very presumptuous.
