ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

The hotel was what you'd expect. Stayed there for three weeks and it was mostly uneventful. The dryer in the laundry room had an element out and didn't dry my clothes but there was no offer to return my money. Roach in my room, mostly dead from pesticide, and again no more than a sorry. The food was edible, but basically soup and salad every night with some poorly devised entree accompanying.

Our stay was phenomenal!!!! Our rooms were clean, the pool was perfect and the staff went above and beyond starting with the Assistant General Manager, Mr. Mark Humphreys. He greeted us at the front desk, checked on us at poolside and saw us off when time to leave. His customer service went above and beyond. The ladies who attended the front desk were very professional, friendly and serviced us well. In meeting staff in the hallways, they were always friendly and pleasant. This is our "new home" when visiting Savannah. The hotel is 20 minutes to River Street. We had a BLAST. Thank you again Mark for providing us with your BEST!

Probably one of the worst Hilton properties I've ever stayed at. Felt more like a Motel 6 than a Hilton property, but at least a Motel 6 would've charged less than half of what you pay here.

The room was musty and damp the entire time. Had to lower the A/C as low as it could go just to cool the room, and even still it was uncomfortable with a musty feeling in the air. Same can be said with the hallways, which had some wet carpet. It's summer in the South - get better A/C systems that can handle the humidity!!

Also the walls were paper thin - you could clearly hear every word that your neighbors are saying. I've stayed at hotels with thin walls before, but this was the worst.

Hilton needs to completely remodel or just tear down this hotel because it is not up to their standards. Do not stay here, otherwise you will be wasting almost $200 per night!

Beautiful suite, relaxing atmosphere, great breakfast offering, evening get together with a small meal was a first for me, enjoyed it. Only drawback was the pillows on the beds, kinda flat. Otherwise, great place to stay!

Second time I've stayed at this location. The staff is very friendly, it's in a great location with many different restaurants close by. They serve a standard fare breakfast Bagels, fruit they have the waffle maker and typically some kind of hash brown or potato and those little fake omelettes. They also have dinner included but it's not much better than the breakfast bar. All the rooms are nice full kitchen but the rooms smell like mold and mildew. I had the thermostat set to 65 degrees making a fairly comfortable in my room.

This place is OK. It's not great nor terrible. Room we stayed in had stains on floor, ceiling and furniture. Walls are very thin and we could hear everything. The hotel scheduled an event that took all the parking from actual guests. This place does serve a great breakfast though. Staff is also friendly.

The customer service was great! Everyone who works there is funny and accommodating. Their top priority is taking care of the customer. The hotel is also well maintained. This will be my preferred location on my next visit to Savannah.

The room was nice and large, but there was a blood stain on my comforter. I got very little sleep because my room was right next to the main road and the car noise was VERY loud. I won’t be staying here again.

The room itself is awesome, huge with a fire place, kitchen etc. The negative is I couldn't sleep for anything the first night because this awesome room was right next to the road and they uses single pane glass and no sound insulation.... Had to find ear plugs the second night.... It's the best and worst room I've had with Homewood...

Visited a friend that was staying here. The facility looked very nice and well kept, the amenities were very nicely kept as well and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely consider Homewood suites as an accommodation option when staying is Savannah in the future.

An okay experience, but just not particularly pleasant. I would consider other options before staying here again.

Good:
Breakfast was very good
Room fairly clean

Bad:
Sleeper sofa had no sheets
Blankets provided were dirty
Outdoor hot tub wasn't clean

This was probably my least favorite Homewood Suites, but it was still a solid stay at a decent price. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. While friendly enough, the cleaning staff just wanted us to sign off without doing anything. Not usually a big deal, but that left us with a total of three towels for two nights with five people. The one bedroom suite sleep up the six and the 2 bedroom up to ten. They're very spacious. However, cleaning and maintenance weren't up to the usual Hilton standards. Dust along the walls, dead spiders in corners/on windows, stuff on the walls... All really easy fixes. The provided breakfast and evening meal (Monday to Thursday) made it so much easier when traveling with kids. We stayed during the winter storm and the hotel staff also put out soup around lunchtime. That really helped when all stores and restaurants were shut down. Since we we're stuck on premises we didn't get to really guage the proximity to sightseeing. But the hotel is located in a couple of other middle of the road hotel properties. There are many stores and restaurants within a mile but our actual view was of a roadway and a chain link fence topped with barbed wire. I'd guess other buildings got parking lot views. We also really enjoyed having a fireplace. We had no idea how to use it, but it ended up being simple and everything was supplied for you (we asked for matches at the front desk and either they or housekeeping had logs). Overall I would probably stay here again if the price was right.

Staff is is the highlight of the stay. We stayed overnight during the snow storm this past week. When everything was closed from Burger King to Starbucks, they we're open and fully staffed. The dinner was a lifesaver for my family of 6. Super motivated staff. Well done management and crew! Will stay when I am the area again.

The staff here is absolutely amazing! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The room was very nice. There was a little bit of a musty smell at first, but it went away (it happens everywhere in humid environments). The reason it's 4 instead of 5 is because of the way the building entrances are. I stayed in building 1. Having mobility issues (I use a cane) made it very difficult to get through the set of doors. There isn't an automatic switch and both doors open in on about 3 feet of space. I had a lot of trouble getting through whenever I had anything in my free hand (like coffee!). The other entryways that were single doors didn't work most of the time (key card entry). I can't imagine anyone with a wheelchair even being able to get inside without help. I don't know about the other buildings though. That was just building 1. Otherwise, it was a great stay and I highly recommend this hotel.

My fiancé and I are currently staying at this location (for a mini getaway & to see family), and I must say the photos are a little misleading. The room smells old and moldy (I think that has to do with the fact that we’re right by the pool and that there was no air circulating through the room). I had to ask the maid service for their cleaning products to help with the smell and ensure everything was properly cleaned (something I’ve never had to do). I also went to CVS for Lysol and proceeded to spray the ENTIRE room, from the curtains to the floor!

It seems as if they only half renovated the space. The furniture and countertops are nice, but the air vents are dusty and molding; the thermostat is dated and dingy; and the bathroom door is hard to close because of the deteriorating frame. And then everything was wrinkled, from the shower curtain to the sheets; even the ironing board has some kinda moldy looking mark on the leg. The hotel has a lot of potential but management needs to do a better job of executing their renovation and observing the room before allowing guest to stay there. Something needs to be figured out.

Everything was good until the people in Room 103 decided to throw a party. They were drinking and fighting in the hallway. Loud music all night. The front desk did advise then if he received another complaint he would call the police. Upon checking out the manager wasn't available to talk to me because he was assisting with the breakfast service. I've called back twice no answer and he hasn't called yet.

So the only reason I'm giving this a three-star is because of the overall experience. I feel like it will be definitely moving towards a four or five star by my next visit. I can tell they have really been working on this place. when we arrived they were cleaning the lobby and which looked recently renovated and the room that we were given was phenomenal. it was an awesome space, did need a little detail cleaning but overall it was great! it was in a perfect location situated right by the pool. as far as issues the refrigerator appeared to be brand new but it did not work. apparently a recent power outage had made it reset and it was not functioning. we tried to push that aside and still continue to enjoy our stay. the next morning, when we were ready to check out the hot water did not work.apparently something happened throughout the evening and in our particular building (not the entire place) the hot water was not working. we weren't notified so when getting ready in time to check out and get on with our day, we had to bathe in cold water. they had someone coming out to look at it and take care of it .they were extremely apologetic and they said they would make it right by returning the points that I had used for the stay( which I will be following up with ).overall, it was a really great place to stay. a little more attention to detail and this place would rock! so, I will come back and I will look to see if things have improved, but overall, everyone was very nice couldn't have asked for more based on the value.

Love, love, loved this resort!! Rooms were modern, comfortable and spacious! Resort is a short drive to the historic district. Our bath made a horrible loud clunking noise all night, the Jacuzzi hadnt been working for over a week which was disappointing and the buffet area where breakfast is provided is too small and crowded for the large amount of guests. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to anyone.

The rooms are great. However the reason we came here is because my husband wasted a Jacuzzi. This is a Hilton which is supposed to be a trusted name. Unfortunately the jacuzzi had not been working in almost a week & it was unclean looking. When I asked about doing laundry, I was informed the dryers were also broken. There is some slimy gooey mess on the sidewalk going to the pool. The staff was friendly enough but not very helpful.

5 night stay. 3 mornings in and breakfast again is disappointing. Food is cold (unless you prepare your own waffle) and the serving area is too small to accommodate the large number of people that are staying. The hotel is loud, all the time. Being a vacation destination, a full hotel is to be expected but there seems to be no observance of quiet times. Room definitely needs attention. Sofa is dirty and stained and even the cushion is turned around the wrong direction. While on vacation, I don't want to feel urged to clean.
The lounge area is nice and the staff is kind. The pool is nice but far too crowded for our liking. Convenient drive to downtown.
If you're looking to relax, this isn't your place.

Homewood Suites is in a very convenient location of Savannah and is only 5 miles from River Street and the historic district. We have a one bedroom suite that includes a separate bedroom, a bathroom with a separate vanity and a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The rooms are super comfortable and even large enough for entertaining. The room comes with a free breakfast and Monday through Thursday the hotel host an evening social that includes different foods each night with beer, wine as well as non alcoholic beverages. The pool is wonderful and the grounds also include a gazebo with a separate sitting area that includes grills for the guests use. They also welcome pets and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and for the price and included amenities will definately be returning. I highly suggest this hotel if you are in the area.

The hotel was in a nice convenient location. The manager Sierra was very nice and professional. When i notified them that the bathroom could use a better cleaning she took care of it right away. I love Homewood as a rule. This one both wowed and disappointed me. They are renovating and despite very strong noxious fumes in my room they did nothing for me asside from opening the windows in the room next to mine which was having the work done (at my last ditch request). Otherwise the staff was very friendly and the rooms/pool clean and nice.

Because I encountered 2 courteous and friendly people I left 2 stars. Otherwise my stay was wrought with rudeness and incompetence. First night no one cleaned my room. Even after speaking to the front desk about this the following nights the room only got partially cleaned. When I called the front desk to get what was missing in the room - towels, toilet paper etc., I was told they would not be able to bring more until the next day!

Not a huge parking lot so not much room for our pickup and trailer. Lobby was nice and seemed newly renovated, but the rooms left a lot to be desired. Bathrooms were small and needed some love (door handle broken, tile cracked, slow drain in the tub). When getting ready to leave, we find belongings under the bed from previous guests (and it's not like you can get completely uber the bed, the bed frame completely hits the floor). The couch (with pull out bed) was very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs and every time you at down, it sounded like someone was tooting!)

Also disappointed in the way the TV was set up. My daughter was able to go into movies that charged us because it didn't prompt that there was a charge and she didn't know. They were able to tell that most of the shows were clicked into, but weren't actually watched. The office staff was kind enough to refund one of the charges, but could not refund all of them, which I understand. I just think they need to rethink the way they have the TV prompts set up.

Encountered a broken hand railing for the stairs leading up to our suite. Made it somewhat unsage for my mother with mobility issues. Brought it to staff's attention. Front desk said that it was discovered the morning it was reported, although my family came across it when we checked in the previous afternoon.

Also could not access wifi internet. Front desk tried to attribute it to our user error, and had to demonstrate my ability to follow instructions, especially since at least two members of my family are Hilton Honors member and we familiar with the process. Come to discover that the error was on the side of whoever entered the guest data in their system, which the front desk had to correct so that my family could access the wifi.

I definitely expected better quality for the price and reputation of Hilton. This is an older hotel, and the wear shows. The towels are threadbare, fixtures are rusted, etc. However, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. All one really needs. ☺

When my boyfriend I are going on vacation or just a get-a-way he always trust me to find and book our hotel room. I had viewed the hotel via pictures on the internet so I had a good idea of what to expect. Well I have to say he and I were impressed has soon as we walked into the lobby. I thought to myself this looks just like the photos on line. As we walked into our room my boyfriend express to me how he liked the room. It was a beautiful room! We had a fireplace (which we didn't use, we visited invisited July 18-20), sofa bed, diswasher, full-size refrig, dishes/ pots/pants, stove..... I really enjoyed the shower! The complimentary breakfast was impressive,(waffle maker with strawberries and whipped cream, a huge electric pot of grits, harshbrowns, scrambled eggs.... My only complaint is the two mornings we ate breakfast there they only offer PORK as for the meat). It wasn't not your regular "hotel complimentary breakfast"....
The staff was awesome. Our Housekeeper (Kendra) was great too....
We are pleased, impressed and will definitely be return guests to the Homewood Suites by Hilton ..in Savannah or any city where Homewood Suites is available.

This is our 5th time here and the place is awesome. Each room has a kitchen (albeit no stove), living room, and 1 bedroom... Some have a fireplace too. Oh and they serve breakfast and dinner( with wine!). Not bad for 100 clams/night.
