Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

I was very disappointed in the condition of the room that I stayed in (not what i expect from any of the Hilton brands). I was even more surprised and disappointed by the response of the manager, who basically implied that i should accept the issues with cleanliness and condition of aspects of the room(cracked floor tiles, stained curtains) since they were "working on it". Stains and marks on linens and walls are unacceptable. Residue in the hotel room coffee pot is unacceptable. How can you be a loyal Hilton member with service like this? Unacceptable.

Had a pleasant stay while on a business trip to Cedar Rapids Iowa. The staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. The hotel and room suite were clean and inviting. Nothing fancy but very functional. My stay included complementary breakfasts that I consider a step above continental. A light complimentary dinner meal is also provided. Staying at this hotel was a wise choice, no regrets.

overall great. better than nearby hotels but maintenance could be improved seeing a few broken floor tiles and there was ink on the sheets and the bathroom fan never worked. the pool was very clean and the weight room. breakfast was good every day, except the oatmeal 😛 but an hour later on Saturday.

This hotel features beautiful, spacious rooms with a full-sized refrigerator, 2-burner stove, full-sized microwave, dishwasher and real dishes and silverware for your use while you stay. The bath/shower and toilet we're serious from the sink/vanity/mirror section, so you can get ready for special events faster and easier. This is a great place to stay, and an excellent value!

Stayed for a baseball tournament. The staff was wonderful and allowed us to socially hang out as a team in a meeting room. The suite we had was huge! And the prices were awesome. The breakfast was also amazing!!! Best one I've had for a hotel.

So far, my experience has not been great. The property is nice, but the staff are very inattentive. Day 1, no shampoo, asked for shampoo. No apology, just ok I'll take care of it. Second day, still no shampoo. Called the front desk, had to ask for it to be brought up to my room... Answer was, "ok". And guess what... Never showed up. Not new staff, older gentleman at the counter in a managers shirt. They don't seem to care about guest experience... Too bad considering their property is nicer than competitors. Would go to Marriott properties again next time.

Nice hotel with great rooms. Breakfast was lacking in stock and three people were working it. No eggs ever came out after asking twice. Hot tub timer of 10 min was a bit annoying.

I expected more for the price of 1 night. The hotel is very nice however staff was not. My room was not cleaned and the bed was not changed. There was food crumbs and blood spots on my sheets we've i pulled back the blankets including hair. There was also hair in the tub from the previous guest. The other issue was the staff questioning me about the the bed and why i just noticed it now instead of earlier in the day. I had my 9 year old son with me and I shouldn't be questioned like that. We were running all day for Youth State Wrestling and was barely in the room that day. I turned the bed down right before going to sleep. Needless to say i helped change the bedding and barely got any sleep.

Stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. Very nice, clean rooms. Excellent prices. Had the whole family over to go swimming and then had an impromptu pizza party for my daughter in the lobby. Staff were very accommodating. Will definitely stay again when we're in the area.

Only saw one conference room, and the restrooms, but the staff were all pleasant, and everything was very clean. We needed a private area, which they were able to accommodate for 40 people. Overall, great experience.

Friendly person checked us in, building and rooms are clean. Breakfast and M-TH evening snacks were very convenient for a large traveling family. The staff Darrel at the front desk, Tom breakfast and Jackie in Housekeeping were very customer focused! Note: We have learned that the pullout couches in any Hilton brand hotel we have stayed has the worst mattress it would almost be more comfortable on the floor because of the super thin mattress and bars to form the sleep space. My only complaint about this hotel chain that made me almost decide to give a 4 star is the dreadful pullout couches Hilton chooses.

The hotel was very nice. However, they say they allow pets, but charge extra. I booked through a third party sight and when I arrived they said I had to pay a 75.00 pet fee. They lowered it to 25.00. My room was nonrefundable so I had to pay the fee. For that reason I will not stay again.

The hotel is a great place overall. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the rooms overall have everything you need (kitchen area). And the offerings here are next to none; Happy hour after 5 provides some great snacks & drinks (for free), and the staff are very pleasant.

When my party checked in, an hour after check-in, we were told that our room wouldn't be ready for another hour. Three-fifths of their housekeeping staff had called in. The manager was extremely apologetic, gave us some playing cards, got us cups for our wine, and had our room put at the top of the to-clean list. House keeping did a tremendous job to get us into our room quickly, and the room was still spotless when we got into it. We were in a "2 queen and pull-out plus kitchenette," and it was plenty spacious enough for 5 women to primp and pre-game in.

This is my 3rd or 4th time staying at this hotel. Each time there is something that has not met my expectations for a Hilton brand when it comes to the housekeeping. First room we got, we instantly changed because the toilet was backed up, the faucets were still dirty and the extra linens for the pull-out couch were either missing or dirty with a long black hair clearly visible on the pillow too. Our new room had a bit of a smell when we walked it but then we must have acclimated to it. However, the housekeeping still was not up to par. Didn't replenish soaps, barely made the beds (in fact, the last day the beds were not even touched by the maid). When we made up the pull-out bed, you could tell that the mattress pad had not been washed and under that on the mattress was a pile of dirt - really gross. Anyway, the front desk was very quick and accommodating but their answer was "Looks like they've done it to us again" in reference to the cleaning staff...
After all of this, I do like this hotel. It is the location we like - close to family and shopping. And the suites are really nice with kitchen, nice televisions, etc... They just need to find better cleaning staff or train the ones they do have.

This is one of the best hotel chains I have stayed with. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and prompt to any issue. The Food is excellent. By the time you spend the same anywhere else, think about what you would be spending on food alone. Dinner Monday through Friday, with a breakfast to die for.. I loved staying here and didn't want to leave. I really glad I had the chance, and so would you. Wonderful, Wonderful,Wonderful...

I stayed for 1 week and believe it or not if you book early you will save some money. I saved $150 staying here compared to another Hotel that I use to always stay at. This place is very nice with free hot breakfast and free evening meals. My room is very nice with full size fridge, stove top, microwave, couch, kitchen table, very comfortable king bed with like 6 pillows. I also had nice 27" flat screen in living room and bedroom. Couple negatives was I do not have computer desk in my room so I have to use kitchen table also not all the time but sometimes I would loss TV reception to where it pixilated and say no signal for 20 or so seconds. Other than that it is a very nice place and staff if very friendly.

This hotel may not be the cheapest around but if you stop and consider the value you get you will want to stay here. The list of amenities is long: workout room, indoor pool, friendly and courteous staff, and gigantic suites. I had a king suite and the bed was wonderful with plenty of pillows to suite your taste whether soft or firm. Huge late model HD TV WITH the HD cableTV subscription to go with it and a DVD player! TV also has unprotected HDMI inputs so bring your HD games or other HD sources. The suite also has a full kitchen with full size fridge, microwave, sink, dishwasher, dishes, and silverware. BUT you may not find yourself using much of the kitchen because the morning breakfast and afternoon manager's reception is wonderful! Each morning the breakfast was piping hot if you like eggs or make-em-yourself waffles. But they also had cereal and fruits. And don't get me started on the manager's reception from 5-7 each afternoon except Friday. Tonight I had a BBQ sandwich with fries but they also had gumbo and a salad mini bar! Last night it was salisbury steak! The suite also has a nice work desk and computer chair and yes it is seperate from the kitchen table. The full size couch with ottoman is also very nice. Finally the bathroom is outside of the vanity and closet and has a walk-in shower. The property has free wifi throughout the facility including the suites and I was getting about 2mb down and 1 up. Its not the greatest but I was able to stream a show from my server at home and at almost HD quality w/o annoying buffering. If you're in the area be sure and give them a ring to book your suite. You won't regret it. I know if I'm here again it's where I'll be.

I recently stayed here on business. The hotel is fairly new and was very clean. Homewood is quickly becoming my favorite Hilton chain. The rooms are great and the price is good. This particular example, in Cedar Rapids, holds up the brand. Thanks!
