My family and I traveled to Memphis this Saturday (August 4) and stayed for 2 days . Great hotel and wonderful staff. The hotel looked very nice and i was skeptical when booking But turned out to a great experience. My daughters received free coloring books and crayons. The pool was down for repair but we was able to go to their other location 3 mins away

Nice hotel with all ammenties. Great pool, good breakfast and evening social. Rooms are nice. Parking can be tough, but not a deal breaker. Biggest issue is leaving and returning around 8am and 5pm. Tough to pull in/out of during traffic, but that can be said for the whole city.

We stop in Memphis every year on our "Gulf to Great Lakes" cross country road trip, and every time we've stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Memphis-Poplar. It's a great location, amd it's about a mile away from our favorite Memphis BBQ, Corky's! The kids LOVE the breakfast, and always pig out on fresh Belgian waffles! The rooms are super comfortable and home-like, and everything is always nice and clean. The only reason we're not giving five stars this review is because the pool was closed, and without the pool to get the kids nice and worn out after a long day sitting and sleeping in the car, the kids didn't go to sleep well.... Other than that, everything was great as usual, and this will continue to be our Memphis hotel of choice! We'll see you next year!

Overall, the room was spacious and homey. It came with its own full refrigerator and dish washer and a little mini stove. The beds, however are very small. Either a twin or a full. There is breakfast and dinner at 5:30 pm both I appreciate. The location is fairly good. A lot of options to eat, however not very many places to shop and what not. Also located in a very nice part of town

The staff was very hospitable. The maintenance of landscape needed to be attended. Dirty spots on carpets. Bed spread has stain. For a Homewood Suites I expected more in cleaning. I have stayed at many Homewood Suites. Memphis Germantown Homewood do a major cleaning up.

I booked this hotel and was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews but this hotel was super nice. I booked a 1 room double bed suite and upon check in i was initially given a room with a king size bed. We were in town for a basketball tournament and there were 5 of us so a king size bed was not going to work. I went back to the front desk and they quickly fixed it and put us in the correct room. The rooms were clean and modern. This is a family oriented hotel. They have a grill , basketball court, salt water swimming pool and the hotel is made like apartments. I loved it. The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice. During my stay i recieved a couple of text from Reagan asking if everything was ok which was a nice personalized touch. Alot of reviews complained about the location although the street was a busy one way street the location was perfect and easy to access the highway. If you do not know how to drive in a big city then you may want to call an uber but I had no problem getting in or out the hotel. Our stay was great!!!

This property is absolutely amazing. Everything was clean and in place. Best part I left my wallet in my room and checked out. When I went to look for it I knew it was gone. I went to the hotel hours after checkout and was in a nervous reck I could barley describe it. They had it. Best part of all my $300.00 was still there. I really want to thank the person that turned it in because where I am from the wallet would have been long gone. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I have stayed in a lot of Hilton properties, and this one is interesting. It's not the average one building with xx floors, there are individual buildings that have a certain amount of rooms and a separate building as the lobby / breakfast and dinner area. It is more of an older property than I am used to with Hilton, but still nice. Most importantly, I would say that the staff at this Hilton is better than any other Hilton I have stayed at. When I say that I felt like I got a very personal experience, it was a TRULY personal experience. Very impressive. When my flight turned ugly and had to rearrange my reservation, I told the staff I would arrive at a certain time. I arrived some 4 hours after that time and was greeted with in a joking manner "now where have you been? You were supposed to be here hours ago." Just a small laughing jester than makes you feel welcomed by friends, and that's the way it should be. I dealt with different staff at the front desk over the course of my trip, and everyone made me feel like I was home. Kudos to this hotel, I will stay here anytime I'm in Memphis!

We were very impressed by this hotel. We had 5 people with us and had plenty of room. The suite was huge with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a kitchen and was very clean. The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the breakfast. If we return to Memphis we will definitely stay here.

Not so great, paper thin walls you hear everything people are doing, basketball court outside your window,so no chance of sleeping in. If you are here on business or just traveling through there is no ice maker to keep drinks or food cold, and getting out on the main street is dangerous,so be warned about that. I don't recommended this place at all. Here is one picture of there safety feature. So safety and comfort is not part of there agenda.

The King suites are good sized. We love the 2 Tv's in the room. Our suite is next to the freeway and it was very noisy at night. Breakfast was just ok, not great

Clean and modern hotel. But the walls were very loud. Every time the shower or sink was used in the bathroom or the room beside us, the pipes in the wall would make a loud annoying sound.

Stayed in a spacious suite which can use the Digital Key feature. That was pretty cool. The suite had two bedrooms, a shared living room space, and a kitchen stocked full of utensils. This suite was on the first floor and unfortunately it sounded like the people above us were going to come through the roof. The food at the "evening social" (which only happens Monday-Thursday) is average at best, but I have to give props to the hotel staffer who made fresh cookies for my family and put them on a plate and wrapped them up in foil for us. Didn't expect that and was a nice touch.

Clean, large rooms with nice furnishings and comfy beds. Loved having the option for two bedrooms and two bathrooms in one unit. Worked great for our family. We slept in and didn't make it to breakfast. Would have given 5 stars if the facility had more parking spaces.

Nice rooms at a good rate. Complimentary breakfast/evening social is well worth it. The only drawback is the entrance/exit of the hotel, put the pedal to the metal or wait all day....you choose.

Another wonderful stay at Homewood Suites. Excellent roomy suites with fI'll kitchenette. Full size fridge with ice maker that works. Delicious food during add o is hour and of course free beer on tap. I wish they had wine like the other Homewood Suites I stayed at. This is a very nice place to stay at.

This is the fourth time I have stayed here in the last year. We prefer a particular room because of closeness to the doggy area and a window at floor level that our dog can look out. The front desk tries to honor our request if they can. This time the room was available but they put us in the same layout room in the same area.
Since I accompany my husband here on business I do not have access to a car during the day. The shuttle drivers are always nice enough to take me where I need to go and carrying groceries for me if need be.
The hot breakfast is always amazing. This chain also offers complementary dinner during the week as well. By far the best hotel I have ever stayed at!!

I stay here frequently on business travel. The rooms are very clean and the staff is super friendly. Breakfast and dinner are great, especially when you consider the price of the room to others in the area. Some building's rooms are a little more worn and dated than others, but overall a great experience.

Truly unique property and I was glad to stay here. Only problem was that the ironing board gives you a false sense of security and folded under the slightest pressure, like a white house Press Secretary.

Location is in a busy area surrounded by other other hotels, but is close to many things. The hotel itself does not appear to have any internal entry rooms, but rather have entries off the parking lots. Set up similar to a group of lodges. The room is pretty clean. Breakfast is tasty and offered everyday. Dinner is good and provided Monday through Thursday usually. The pool is a decent size and neat the middle of the complex.

Didn't know that you entered rooms from outside in our building and there were no rooms available where you entered from inside in other buildings. Also more expensive than nearby hotel and more confusing to enter and exit

Rooms are clean, the location is nice and well lit in the evenings. The only entrance and exit are westbound on Poplar, so that kinda sucks. Kinda had an apartment complex type feel to the area.

Nice hotel but lots of rooms are facing the highway and are very noisy all night. Get an inner facing room and you'll enjoy the start even more. Pet friendly it's a big plus

Please stay here, wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, courtyard is isolated and quiet even though the highways are near. The rooms are quiet, and they feel like apartments instead of hotel.
Breakfast and evening reception! Can't beat that value for a family of 5 or more!

THEY ALSO HAVE A CEILING FAN IN THE BEDROOM!!! Super plus!

This hotel is a nice hotel to stay at but that come with some cons. The rooms are great but the pull-out beds are a little old and hard. The bathroom is beautiful as well as the kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. There is minimal parking at night when everyone is back at the hotel so you might have to park a little ways away. But other than those two things the hotel is great. The staff is very nice and clean your room very well. If you are in the Memphis area you should seriously consider staying here.

We have stayed at several different Home wood Suites locations, and this one, unfortunately, is at the bottom of the barrel. I gave it 3 stars because they have good TV channels and a nice basketball court. Each visit has gotten worse and worse. The first couple of times, we liked it, and the courtyard layout really gave the campus an apartment-like feel. I am NOT a fan of the staff at all. I usually stay here for work, and each time I request an early check in, they lie about it, instead of telling me I can't. Housekeeping was very loud and inappropriate right outside our door, discussing interdepartmental issues. The almost woke my son up. There parking is very irritating and sparse, and people have to park on the curb sometimes. This can leave your car open to damage. Twice in a row, we have had old, raggedy irons with frayed and exposed wires, and I had no ironing board the last stay. Our kitchen sink and dishwasher were malfunctioning, and we had NO pots and pans to cook with initially. The breakfast is not very appetizing at all in comparison to other Homewood Suites locations. The last room we were in costs my company $224 a night, and we only had an uncomfortable full sized bed. This property is very nice with a lot of potential, but some of the staff are really slacking to keep it functioning at its full potential. Please stay here, but by all means, check your room thoroughly before you get settled and unpacked.

We stayed at Homewood Suites on Poplar while having unexpected plumbing repairs made at our home nearby. We rented a 2BR/2BA suite for 2 nights with 3 adults (we as a couple, plus a guest from out of town), and were all extremely pleased with our stay. The in-unit kitchenette was more than adequate for preparing basic meals and snacks. Both bedrooms were of ample size and comfort, with massive closet/storage space, and beds that felt like sleeping on clouds. The bathrooms were nicely appointed and spacious. The living room furniture was sparse, but of good quality and modern design, with an efficient layout. Lighting was excellent; and, noise was essentially nonexistent, despite the exterior entrances. Breakfast was more than sufficient; and, the convenience store onsite was well-stocked with reasonably-priced convenience foods and meal options. There are plenty of shopping and dining options nearby; but, you'll need a car, or well-planned usage of the courtesy shuttle, to access most nearby shops and restaurants. This exceptionally-maintained property in the heart of East Memphis, offers apartment-style living for a very reasonable nightly fee. The property also boasts an outdoor pool, indoor fitness center, business center and multiple meeting venues. Service was exceptional at all hours of the day and night. Access to the property is easy but poorly marked, giving a somewhat secluded feel despite being located at one of the busiest freeway junctions in the city. Despite a few quirks of the property (not feeling like a traditional hotel, but more like a secluded apartment complex), I recommend the Homewood Suites on Poplar without any hesitation. This is probably the best extended-stay hotel in all of Memphis.

This is the best Homewood Suites I have been to. The rooms felt more like apartments and the staff made you feel like you were at home. Not only that, but I left my IPad behind in my room and I thought it may be lost for good. The staff kept it safe and mailed it to me promptly. I am grateful for that and will stay here whenever I am in Memphis. Thank you!

The location was very nice, although it was a quick turn off if you are coming from the interstate. The room was bright and had a ceiling fan which I lived. The bathrooms where clean and pretty. The customer service was incredibly attentive and easy to work with. I didn't get to eat the breakfast but it smelled amazing. This is the place I'd stay if I go back to Memphis.

Stayed here Saturday, Memorial weekend 05/23/15 Staff was friendly, Room was very nice & clean! Had everything u would possibly need like an apartment if u needed to stay long term! Well stocked! Already had extra linens in room for sofa sleeper which was nice & convenient. The continental breakfast was good & liked the sitting area, was charming. I was impressed because this was a great last minute find for us, wound up getting a handicap room so was extra spacious, downstairs corner room close to office. I enjoyed my stay here & Will definitely be back! I could see how that noise could be a problem for some but we did not experience anything that bothered us. Even though it was full of guest. I'm sure it could easily get loud though. The entrance to parking was a bit confusing, like a maze because of how the building is located between interstate exit ramps.

I am not sure what people complain about on here. I travel for business 90% of the time. And every time I come to memphis, I stay here. Ive visited MULTIPLE hotels weekly and this place is fine. Service and rooms COULD be better, as Hilton usually provides exemplary rooms, but this is an older property. Other than that, it's always quiet, near a lot of stuff, & friendly staff. I have no issues. Maybe on the weekends the hotel is a different story? But during the week it is fine for the price.
