ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Only issue was our room had a stale odor. The hallway smelled liked dogs. Dog hair was on my house shoes in my room.. they should limit dogs to certain rooms. I like pets but I dont need to smell them. The breakfast was decent for a free one. The place is secure and the staff is friendly. Id stay there again but the pet odor needs to be addressed.

About what you'd expect from Homewood suites, but it seemed an older facility. Ran out of appetizers by 6:30 at the Thursday social. Oddly the fridge opened in my mind backwards. It was awkward to get things in and out. I would still stay here again though.

We have stayed at this hotel twice. The first visit was probably 4 stars, this last was about 2 stars. We stayed on May 23-24 room 218. All of us didn’t feel that great getting up in the morning, because there was mold in the vents and in the shower. A sign on the dishwasher claimed that the dishes were clean but they clearly were not. Didn’t look like the dishes had been washed at all. I had already used a spoon at this point unfortunately. Some employees were nice, but I was made to feel guilty for getting so much at breakfast (two yogurts, coffee, some tea packets, and a banana) It just wasn’t the best experience for the price.

Clean rooms. Nine foot high ceilings. Memphis water out of the tap is delicious (no funky taste). And they have a nice morning breakfast (hot) for you to enjoy as well. When family comes to town, we will be recommending they stay at Homewood Suites!

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in late April of 2018. I was in Memphis to go to a concert, and I'm on a Paleo-like diet which makes eating at restaurants rather a challenge. So I always look for this style of hotel when I travel, with the facilities to let me make at least some of my own meals. I've always stayed at the Staybridge on Poplar Ave. when I've been in Memphis before this (the concert is an annual thing) but they were full up on the dates I needed, so I had to find somewhere else with similar amenities.

Overall, this Homewood is a very nice property--the public areas are clean and attractive, the parking lot is well-lit at night, and all the staff I interacted with during the 5 days I stayed were friendly and efficient. Check-in was easy, and when I got up to my room, the suite itself was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, and all the other fixtures/appliances were in good working order. I will say that getting in and out of the parking lot as I came and went was not the easiest task; they are located at the intersection of two major roads, and making a left turn across either is basically impossible; you almost always have to go right and find somewhere to turn around. It's not the hotel's fault, of course, but definitely something to be aware of if you intend to stay here. I was also satisfied with the free wireless internet and the equipment in the business center (which I used to check in and print a boarding pass for my flight home), though I can't comment on the quality of the TV reception, fitness center, or free breakfast since I didn't make use of any of them.

My only serious complaint was with the kitchen in my suite. Again, the counters and so forth were clean, and I had no issues with the functionality of the fridge, stovetop, etc. However, just about all of the dishes, glasses, silverware, and so forth were in the dishwasher when I first arrived, and when I went to put those (presumably) clean dishes away, I found that MOST of them were clean, but there were two bowls and a few pieces of silverware that were very definitely NOT. It was as if someone had just stuck them in with the clean stuff after the wash cycle was already over, and while I didn't make a fuss over it, it was not a very welcome surprise. I was also dismayed to find that there were no sharp knives among the kitchen equipment. I was actually intending to cook a few meals more or less from scratch, and not being able to chop vegetables and etc. would have been impossible without at least a paring knife. When I alerted someone at the front desk to the lack first thing the next morning, however, they sent someone up with both a paring knife and a larger chef's knife within an hour, so kudos to them for correcting the issue quickly.

I will also just note that while I wasn't too troubled by noise from neighboring suites, mine faced the central courtyard, which has both a pool (although it was not open at the time of my visit) and a basketball court. So for the first few days (I stayed from Friday to the following Wednesday) there was a LOT of noise basically all day from outside, with kids yelling and balls bouncing and so on. It always quieted down by 10:30 or 11 PM, which is early enough for me to get a decent night's sleep, at least, but again, it's something to be aware of. Though I'll also note that I didn't hear any air traffic or train whistles in the entire time I was there, and that is rather an accomplishment in Memphis!

So, overall I was pleased with my stay, and I will probably return in future; the lack of train noise gives the Homewood a definite advantage over the Staybridge (which is practically right next door to a set of tracks). Next time, though, I will probably request a room that faces away from the courtyard.

I have been to three different Homewood Suites locations in the Memphis area and this one is by far the best. The rooms are cleaner, the food is delicious, the service awesome. You literally get to know everyone who works there and they go out of their way to accommodate you. The others didn't seem to care as much.

I have had the pleasure to meet both the Regional Manager as well as the Sales Manager at this hotel. Today, I went for a late lunch next door (Perkins) only to have the Sales Manager (Greg) come over to my table and invite me to sit with him for lunch. We had great conversation. These people not only care about your stay, but about you personally. The staff is very approachable and nice, responding to questions and requests promptly. Everyone definitely goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and when you do stay, ask for Greg and get to know him. Tell him you read Becky's review. Enjoy!!

Location is in a nice area. Not terribly close to downtown Memphis, but isn't a bad drive to get there. Pool is outside and a bit small. The rooms are nice and clean. Coin operated laundry is more expensive than most. The breakfast selection was good and tasty.

I was there for a social gathering with family and friends. The moment we walked in the front desk staff were friendly, professional and attentive. The directed us the correct meeting room. It was the perfect size for a small gathering, included a projector for us to watch videos and it had an exit to the pool area. No one interrupted us and we able to enjoy each other. I appreciated that the hotel's location was within 20 minutes of my house. It was a short drive and made me think about returning in the future for stay-cations. It was an overall good experience.

Room furnishings are very dated. I researched all the long term stay options for Memphis. This location appeared from the description be the best option. This hotel is only a "Hilton" in name. The only benefit of this location is that it is in a quiet affluent area. This means less crime. The kitchen is lacking many nessary utincels found at other long term hotels. e.g. no knives or cutting board to name a few. Laundry is an additional cost but other long term hotels have this included complementary. The couch, chairs, and dressers are archaic. However they do have usb charge ports all over the rooms. The heating and cooling is more modern and effective. The tv is an LG and you get the actual remote for the 5v, normally hotels give you a limited remote control. Bathroom is smaller and appears to be an old design. The bed is very nice. Tv in bedroom also. Not much more to say about the room. I think the greatest downfall is the poor representation of a kitchen. Really what you get is a full size fridge, no ice maker, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, and some cabinets. Overall i am not very pleased and believe now i should have gone with Staybridge suites. The amenities are very lacking at this hotel. The breakfast is adequate and nothing special, like anything any hotel can provide. I have a very hard time believing this hotel somehow got a seal of aproval to be called a Hilton chain. One last thing, other long term stay chains include complimentary grocery shopping. I would stay away from this hotel if you are looking to stay over a week.

The room was great but I used the app to book a room and when I got here they said they don't even have that kind of room. After about fifteen minutes she found me a room but it was not nearly as simple as I would expect considering they were almost full.

We had a great stay at the Homewood Suites in Germantown. The room was clean, we'll decorated, and comfortable. The pool was cool, which was perfect since it was almost 100 degrees out. The breakfast included croissant sandwiches, potatoes, warm danish, yogurt, fruit, and waffles. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband had really talked this place up because of other Homewood Suites he had been to before. However upon arriving, we got to our room and it had a really strong odor that was nauseating and took forever to get use to. (Purchased room spray and didnt help at all) We had no tissue in the holders.. the information guide in the room was destroyed and had pages missing that were needed. We had to go ask for a do not disturb sign and the lady at the front desk was very rude and the elevator smelled like something was burning which was scary. And to top it all off we were charged an extra $20 for who even knows what when we were already disappointed paying what we did for this whole situation.

I was there four days and three nights. Everyone was kind and helpful, the food was very good for 6 of the 7 meals. They serve both breakfast every day and dinner Monday through Thursday with free unlimited Budweiser on tap during dinner if you drink. We were an hour late checking out due to a seminar I was at releasing late etc and they were very kind and helpful and didn't charge an additional fee for the extra time. Good stay

I stayed here for one night in August 2014. The price was reasonable, the suite was clean and nice. I loved that the windows open and that they still have smoking rooms available. The two rooms overlooked the outdoor pool area, which looked very nice. I was traveling alone and felt very safe in the hotel, and in the area in general. The staff was friendly. Most importantly, I got a good night's sleep. If I find myself in need of a room in Memphis again, this will be the first place I check.
