Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

This is the cleanest room I’ve stayed at since the pandemic started. I always do my own Lysol wipe down of any surface I might touch. The wipe was still white when I was done. The hotel, at least currently requires all staff and guest to wear a mask in the common areas.
The room was comfortable. With a kitchen so I can avoid eating at restaurants.

Highly recommend this home wood suites/St.Phillips Plaza University. Great Staff, great service. It has all the amenities I need. If you are the type of person who loves to go biking in different states. Well, let me tell ya stay at home wood suites bike path is only a steps away from your hotel. Bike path goes 130 miles nice scenery too. Rillito Bike path/The loop is probably the best bike path I ever rode in. It has lanes and hills and down hills. Love riding my road bike to Marana and Oro Valley because my road bike gets there faster then my mountain bike. If you have mountain bike take it with you too, yes there’s dirt for your mountai bike. I just love it here.

Very nice hotel. Beautiful lobby. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was a full meal and the snacks during social hour Monday to Thursday were great too. We loved the 12 miles of walking trails right out the back door. There are plenty of restaurants close by. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel, stayed for a work event for three days and two nights. The rooms are very comfortable, offering all the basics and more for several nights stay. The kitchenettes are stocked and great, which means I can eat in rather than out. The breakfasts are stocked well and the evening meals and drinks are an added bonus.

The only down side would be some unwanted traffic in the parking lot, a tough intersection to navigate out of depending on the time of day, and some unwanted noise at times.

Would definitely stay again.

This hotel has a lot to offer, the staff is friendly, and it is in a great located. Unfortunately our room was not cleaned thoroughly. There were food crumbs on the counter, the floors were filthy, the bath tub had a rust spot and black spots that might have been mold, and as I was straightening the duvet on the bed a receipt from 3 weeks prior fell out of it.

This is my favorite Hilton property in Tucson. It's located in the middle of St. Philip's Plaza. Incredible food, quality services, gift shops, clothing stores, and a farmer's market.

The Management team went above and beyond to help us resolve and reservation conflict. They were profressional and curtious. The rooms are very clean and welcoming. A full-size refrigerator, stovetop, dishes and cookware are available if you need. I look forward to coming back and enjoying this hotel again.
Please Note: This would have been a 5 star rating, but the pool was being refurbished in the middle of summer. I like to cool off then it's hot.

The hotel was updated, modern looking on the inside. Decore looked good. The bathroom smelled like a dirty wash rag. It was located in a nice plaza with a fountain, benches, tables. Charming plaza with high end boutiques and restaurants. I give it a B+.

8

Great location if maybe a bit hard to find. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with all the comforts you'd expect. The beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were clean. My only gripe is that the shower had a bit of rust around some of the metal fittings on the wall and the bumpers on the sliding glass shower doors were scotch taped in place. Still a good stay and good prices. The happy hour events are worth it too.

Stayed here with family. They enjoyed food, swimming and workout amenities. My youngest son thought the space was small in the rooms and could improve on cleaning and refill of supplies in the restrooms. Overall, it was good.

Didn't actually spend that much time in the place but from what I saw: the rooms were clean and modern. The food (breakfast and dinner) is nice and light and wine comes with dinner. Had a few kids but mostly adults . From the outside the gym looked good 😂 And the staff where quiet friendly.

The Homewood Suites Tucson/St. Philip's Plaza University was a pleasant place to stay while doing a week of biking. The people were pleasant and helpful. The suite was large and well equipped. The hotel was right on The Loop, very close to restaurants, a bike store, and walking distance to a Trader's Joes.

One of the best places I've stayed in Tucson. Only have 4 stars because we didn't have any hot water the morning we left and I don't know if that's a common issue or not. The rooms were clean, smelled good, everything else was working great. The layout of the building is pretty cool- our room opened out to a grassy area next to the pool so you could come and go without going through the main building. Better in every way, even to the "expensive" hotels in Tucson.

Rates are high compared to the competition. But the room has a kitchen, which is nice, if you actually need one. Because it's a suite, I didn't get a lot of hallway noise since my bed was far from the door. Mattress seemed cheap. Sheets clean - Nice pillows. The TV had an annoying auto-dimming feature that I couldn't turn off - So the TV always seemed too dark. Breakfast was excellent - Egg dish was one of the best I've had.

Great hotel. However, I went there for a night stay to celebrate an anniversary, stopped by the day before, to drop off some things to be put in the room and was thoroughly disappointed when I went to my pre assigned room the next day and the items were not in there. Honest mistake I'm sure, but was quite upset the whole stay due to this.

We recently stayed 4 nights at Homewood Suites by Hilton Tucson/St. Philip's Plaza University in Tucson, AZ. I know most of the hotels offer free breakfast, but we were pleasantly surprised to find out that this hotel also offers free light fare dinner with wine and beer between the hours of 5 and 7 Monday through Thursday. The hotel manager was very accommodating and pleasant, when we found out that the pull out bed my grown son was going to sleep on, was not suitable for a 6'3" 170 lb. man. Small children would probably be fine on the pull out bed, but we asked to be put into a suite with 2 queen beds instead, and they were happy to do that for us. Just wanted to say thank you to the staff for making our stay there comfortable and enjoyable. With our son attending the University of AZ for the next few years, we most certainly will be back!

The location was hard to find since it was tucked away in a shopping center so that was a bit inconvenient but the hotel was very nice for the price which wasn't too much at all.The front desk lady was very friendly and the hotel itself was quiet which is what I was looking for.The beds were very comfortable the rooms were a little small but given the price understandable. My overall experience was very good and I would stay here again

Hotel is in great location, set back from the road in a quasi colonial architectural area surrounded by good restaurants and interesting stores. The staff were very good. One day we came down to breakfast late at 5 minutes past closing, but the staff member, Joy, went back into the kitchen, HAPPILY, and got us what we needed. Another 5 minutes elapsed and another guest turned up late and she proceeded to plate him up some bacon and eggs, again HAPPILY!
The rooms were clean the bathrooms have large tiled showers, the beds were very comfortable and the whole place quiet. The WiFi was free and fast. The pool is not huge, but here were always enough spots for everyone around it.
Breakfast is served on ceramic plates with real cutlery, not those awful styrene plates and plastic utensils that fill up landfill unnecessarily. Cost was reasonable and overall value excellent. We will stay there again, management, know what they are doing!
