Great response to a leaking fridge. Spacious rooms for a great price right in the beat of downtown. Will definitely come back just to get away.

20 for garage per night is quite pricey

Decent hotel. Jeff at the front desk is awesome! Good space for a business trip. Have all that you need. Wouldn’t recommend for family vacation: would go to the one in Addison.

Great front desk service, had an exceptionally clean room, nothing but satisfied. The $20 parking on the property was a little overboard, but at least I felt safer than parking on the streets. Will be my next location definitely!!

Very nice employees. Rooms were nice. Pillows and bed were so soft and comfy. On my issue I had was the juice for breakfest was not really cold and eggs tasted fake. Also there was no batter for waffles and when I asked for more no one ever got any.

The stay at the hotel was nice and exceeded my expectations. The room we were given upon arrival had a broken air conditioning unit. We went to the front desk and they happily obliged in giving us a new room with a functional AC unit. We had a great night's sleep and the complimentary breakfast was a nice addition. I would recommend this place for someone looking for a decently priced hotel in Dallas.

Not impressed by any means. Hotel is dark and not very appealing. Carpets throughout the room make you feel dirty. AC in room not working on a day when it is 108 degrees outside. Called front desk about the AC and the person seemed agitated that I called. They were not able to fix it and recommended that I turn it off for a while and then try to turn it back on. I did, and then had to deal with it being several degrees hotter as it did not cool down afterwards. Of the three hotel employees that were notified about this, not one of them could even be bothered to apologize for the inconvenience. Will not be returning. This hotel hurts the Hyatt brand.

So far so good. The room is nice and updated. The full kitchen is nice too. The garage has 2 entrances but only one works for some reason. The hallways are humid and feel kind of gross.
Update- After a week in the hotel, the back garage still doesn't work which is inconvenient. Also, whatever you do, Do NOT stay in a room that faces the frost bank unless you want to wake up at 3:30am every day (when the trash people come to pick up the dumpsters) it is incredibly loud, even with my sound machine on max volume. Luckily the front desk moved me to a different room over-looking the pool and all is well now. The front desk is incredibly nice and friendly though most of them weren't trained very well because they have to ask Cece how to do everything.

Hotel is clean and nice..Unfortunately the staff at the front desk is less then helpful..No one lives in the area nor has knowledge of the area so you better do some research on places to eat or things to do.

The room was great. The shuttle service to local attractions was wonderful. The breakfast was good the only drawback was the location of my room on the busy Street and the traffic helicopter starting up at 6 am.

Person checking us in knew all about our music concert times and walking distance. The room is nice and big. It looks like a older hotel that has been updated. To say the least they did a great job on the update. The best part of the stay was the free hot breakfast. Cooked to order omelets, fresh bacon. What else can you ask for. One other thing received online check in and online check out!

For a hotel that costs so much, you'd think parking would be included. NOPE, $18 a night. Continental breakfast was really good though, the free WiFi was actually good, and the bed was pretty comfy. The location is great for sporting events, only 5 or so blocks from American airlines center.

5

The only really good thing I have to say about the hotel is it's close proximity to American Airlines Center. You can easily walk to the game from the hotel. The cleaning staff knocked on my door twice before 9 am for some reason and they charge you $18/day just to park your vehicle on site.

Currently here on the second floor. The room is clean, big and up to date. The breeze flows right through the window, it's freezing and you hear every single car that goes by.

I was having a lovely stay, but now a really bad odor is in my room (rotten eggs).

Have been trying to call the front desk, but no response... Which brings me here.

Good location, a short walk from the American Airlines arena (the hotel offered a free minibus service to take us there). The room was very spacious but we couldn't work the lock in the bathroom. We may have missed them but we could've also used some extra pillows which we couldn't find as one was too thin on its own.

The first time we stayed here we booked our room through a 3rd party hotel website. When we arrived we were told the hotel had no record of our confirmation number. The front desk was very apologetic and after about 5-10 mins we were given a room and our parking fee was compted and we were given a free item from the food market. The room was a perfect size. It was one bedroom with a decent pull out couch and a little kitchenette. The closet was also spacious. Location was great, we were close enough to walk to a nice restaurant and the American Airlines Center where I was attending a concert. Breakfast was included with the hotel and it was standard. They had an omelet bar and waffle maker. The omelet bar was good EXCEPT that I had to wait an hour for it. Another guest took my omelet and I had addressed it to the cook she continued to make other guests omelets and didn't make another omelet until I continued to bug her about it 3 more times. But overall the rest of the hotel experience was good.

The room was nice and clean, it came with a variety of amenities such as full size fridge, dishes, dishwasher, sink, walk in closet. Although more than I needed for a single night still nice to have. Parking was 18$ a night. My only really problem with the room was the pillows were somewhat flat. All in all great experience. Walking distance from American airlines center, so perfect location to enjoy a concot or game and not worry about driving home.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

I recently stayed at Hyatt House Uptown during an event at the American Airlines Center. The location is spot on for an AA Center event! The check-in process was super smooth (thanks Lucas!) & the room we stayed in was very clean, quiet, and the AC was on point! What more could you want from a hotel? I look forward to my next stay at Hyatt House Uptown.

Extremely close to everything on West End. Hotel was clean but needs to do a major overhaul. There were exposed wiring in our room. The paint looked like it was caked on and super thick. I loved the bed and pillows but my better half did not care for them at all. Sodas were $3 plus and wine was also overpriced.

Our first room (204) faced Harry Hines Blvd and the traffic was so loud outside that we could not fall asleep. The front desk was very nice and gave us a room on the other side of the hotel for the rest of our stay. There is a free shuttle that will go anywhere in a 4 mile radius

We came into town to meet with family and stay overnight. We booked a 2 room suite (already a lot cheaper than 2 rooms). They told us they were overbooked on that room and couldn't give it to us. Instead they gave us two separate full suites (w/ kitchen and everything) comped the cost and gave us free parking. The rooms were even adjacent to each other. Very kind about the whole situation and totally unprompted offers to compensate us. On top of all that the rooms were very spacious and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and the bed was comfortable. I will be staying here next time I'm in Dallas.

9

Disappointed. The best thing about this hotel was the shuttle service and proximity to the city. Rooms need to be cleaned better. Check in at 3. We arrived after 4 and our room wasn't ready. Front desk doesn't communicate with each other. Platinum members get late check out at 2. Different people called to boot us out.

7

Location was decent, but on the edge of downtown.
The double room we had showed signs of its conversion from two single rooms, but if I overlooked the somewhat sloppy access panels in the oversized bathroom, the amenities of a "living room" and full kitchen with separate with their own private full baths made up for it
Outside in central courtyard is a pool and grill for use (we did not use it though.).
Staff was very courteous.
Breakfast was nice with varied affair each morning (sometimes waffles, sometimes pancakes... Omlette bar, etc.)
Since each room has a full kitchen, the front desk also has a limited selection of items to make in the room (ramen, etc.).

Enjoyed a wonderful night stay coming from San Antonio to see the Adele concert at the AA center. Jasmine greeted me the minute I walked through the door. I was nervous after reading other comments about staff attitude but she was great! She even informed us about the shuttle that would take us and drop us off at the concert. Don't forget to tip people...come on a couple of bucks for a ride to the front door is well worth it!! Did book an executive suite with two doubles and requested facing away from Harry Hines since other reviews recommended that due to traffic noise. Had our two four legged kids and they had ample grass for them to potty. Glad we brought our own poo bags as I didn't see any there. 3 sisters easily walked back from AA center as there were enough people heading that way after concert but it was dark in areas so if in doubt or not enough people then I would Uber. Wonderful beds. Good breakfast and coffee included to get you off on your travels with a full tummy!! If I ever come back to an event at AA center I will book at this hotel again! Not a single complaint.

The hotel was under renovation when I was there, so I have to grant them some leeway. But the room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, this despite being right off of Harry Hines. The breakfast was quite good, and the facilities were generally in good shape. The service, however, was outstanding. Every staff member I interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful, and that made the difference.

5

The location was good for work (a quick drive or shuttle ride over to uptown) but I didn't notice too many good options within walking distance. It seems like they're going through renovations right now but I haven't heard any noise as a result of it. Some parts of the hotel certainly look like they could use an uplift. There was a strange smell in the lobby and halls on the first night I assumed due to the work but the room itself was fine. The tap water is bad so bringing your own or melting ice is recommended. The complimentary breakfast is also a nice perk and it's not huge but has enough variety. Staff is also friendly!

Old and dirty but mainly because it was under major construction for remodeling. It will probably be awesome by late August 2016, but you will be staying in a construction zone crawling with construction workers after 9am daily until then. Breakfast was good.

It looks like it is a little bit far away from everything....but if you walk 5 mins, it is easy to find bars and restaurants.

There were no problems on checking in. The front desk gave us a brief information about this area.

One thing I really did not like was the shuttle driver. I felt that he was too aggressive to get a tip....as a hyatt employee. We gave him $5 for one way, and then he started to be really mean. My husband was asking him a couple of questions about this area, and he was totally not interested in answering his questions.

We were really not interested to using the shuttle anymore, but it was hard to get a taxi that day, so I called the hotel to pick up us again. The driver came here again, and we gave him another $ 5, and then that night, when we tried to walk outside, he was waiting us at the entrance, asking us if we found any good places to go.

I hate to deal with this kind of people.

Absolutely brilliant. Excellent value for money, very friendly & helpful staff. Free shuttle bus service was extremely useful. Highly recommended, will definitely be staying here again if I'm back in Dallas anytime soon.

LOCATION:

It's literally minutes from Dallas Love and that was a nice plus. At first we thought that the Hyatt House was away from the happening areas but not true. There were plenty of unique restaurants/bars and pubs within a five minute walk and that made it very convenient. We also wanted to hit the many attractions (art district, Dealey Plaza and museums) in Dallas and found them to be only about a 15/20 minute walk from the hotel.

ROOMS/BED:

The rooms are huge (small kitchen with decent size frig, sink and micro wave, separate walk-in closet). The rooms have a separate seating area of the sleeping area which actually made the room feel much larger than it was. Our room faced Harry Hines Blvd and we thought there might be a noise issue but it was actually very quiet.

The bed was also good, no complaints. It was not the best but I had no issue with it and after staying four nights I also felt refreshed from my sleep. The pillows were just okay not bad but they could have been a bit better.

AMENITIES:

The complimentary breakfast was good and they also had a fresh omelet station were you could get cooked to order omelets and that was a nice little perk. In the evening they had happy hour with light to medium snacks and draft beer. all for a very reasonable price.

FINAL VERDICT:

I would stay here again if I were in Dallas.
