Property's Green Action

To protect the environment, we are reducing water use, energy consumption and recycling waste with the goal of limiting our carbon footprint. We integrate sustainable development into our operating procedures, contribute to preserve local communities and the natural ecosystems in which our hotel is located. With all sister hotels, we have already planted three million trees as part of a global reforestation project supported by the United Nations. The last but not the least, we engage our partners and suppliers in their sustainable development strategy and integrate them into the responsibility chain.

Certifications

Planet 21 Bronze

AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:

- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons

- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food

Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues

A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

This location is perfect. You can walk everywhere from here just down Blvd Strasbourg. Breakfast is good & you can fill up before exploring for the day. This hotel felt more like an Ibis budget though - the room wasn't of a high spec, the shower was tiny & smaller than other Paris hotels I've stayed in. The lift didn't always work either.

A bit cold, especially the tiled floor of the entirely unheated bathroom. Fairly slow service. Perfectly serviceable, but a bit tired.

It was good for a one-night stay, well located near two major train stations. Would not recommend this as a base to visit the city. Comfortable bed. Poor amenities in the room: only one towel per person, no kettle of cups to make a quick coffe, no bottle of water provided. Wi-fi barely working in the room. Friendly staff.

Everything was fine and I would stay again, but it wasn't more than 3/5.

The staff was very friendly and had the kind forethought to book an accessible room on the ground level for me as I had my dog with me, which also meant a bit more space which was great - though it did make it sound as if the other rooms are tiny, since it was still very small.
(Huge bathroom in that room though of course, which I loved.)

There's great food nearby (Japanese restaurant where I had dinner twice, two brasseries), currency exchange 2 mins away and of course Gare de l'Est right there.

I wouldn't recommend the location for single female travellers on their first trip though because I did experience quite a fair bit of street harassment even in the day.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast had a good choice of foods, there's no mini bar or room service but you can get 24h small meals via reception which was very convenient.

I found the room to be clean, too, and had enough storage for my short trip.

Best Hotel for the price level in that area. Interior recently refurbished and definitely on the expected level of quality. Ideally located exactly at the metro Gare de'l Est. Suitable both for short business stays and longer sight-seeing stays.

Location was close to metro, so you could get around the city easy. The room was perfect, but the bed was a bit small for two. Service was really nice and the breakfast was good as well.

Booked for other hotel (Ibis 10th), got there and no staff at reception. waited 15mins. went over road this this hotel and found out they moved my booking over here also. Bed is like a valley and both of us rolling into centre and not comfortable. if you can spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

Even being a 2 star hotel, it provides more than other similar, which turns out to be a more enjoyable experience! The hotel is well located and it even provides a safety locker inside the room. I only wished it would be closer to metro stations!

Excellent location, very helpful and professional staff. We got the room facing the street and it is a very noisy location as it is so central, but because I have a heavy sleep it didn't bother me too much. they might have rooms facing the indoor square, which might help with the noise. We didn't ask. Location wise it's the best. Safe area, with great metro links, close to great food places (not the one's next to the hotel, closer to the canal, there's great options).

The rooms were small but cozy, and they did not have a good view. About half the hotel staff spoke English. The breakfast service was complimentary and delicious.

Stayed there in July 2013. Rooms were bit old but spacious and the room we got was in the building opposite to the hotel reception. Staff was helpful, check in/out was smooth. Breakfast was fine.
