Great service, great views! Short walk to time Square. However BE WARNED about the noise. Especially if you are facing North. The rooftop club opposite plays VERY loud music until 4-5AM on Friday and Saturday nights as well as late into the evening on midweek nights.

Also the general City Noise such as sirens can be heard so clearly the Windows may as well not exist. Combined with the AC in the room, which is the noisiest you have ever heard in your life (tornado in the room).... You will not be in for a good night's sleep. It's just a good job the bed is really comfortable.

It's a nice hotel but the noise SERIOUSLY let's it down. Until I heard the repeated noise, this would have been 5 stars, edited to reflect that.

I'm a regular and simply love the Kimpton chain. Rooms are awesome, location works for me and highly depends on what you're after when visiting NYC. Rooftop is amazing and restaurants choice nearby (hell's kitchen) is great (Print restaurant at the hotel is also superb). Can be slightly noisy on lower floors though. Love it.

I don't think we could ever stay anywhere else after the wonderful experience at ink48. They were kind and gracious, the food and bar amazing and the rooms large and comfy. We were travelling with 2 dogs (one over 100 lbs)and they were amazing accommodating them. A great location and hotel.

Absolutely one is my best hotel experiences. The hotel is gorgeous. The staff is so attentive. The area is perfect. I can't possibly complain about anything. We went to the spa and couldn't believe it. Amazing massage. Perfect facial. The in house restaurant, PRINT, is incredible. Unreal menu. Farm to table. So GOOD!!!

My go to hotel everytime I'm in the city. Always up to date, clean, and friendly staff. Free wine hour every evening and lots of complimentary offers. Valet parking is very easy. Get a city view of available for a view that cant be beat. The Print restaurant has great options and great food. The Press Lounge roof top bar is one of the best in the world.

Very contemporary and classy, slightly trendy crowd. Great views from the rooftop lounge and perfect for conversations. I'd you get hungry your best bet is the restaurant in the lobby, their food was pretty good and the decor was contemporary with cozy niches

This was a great find in the city! The room was bright, airy, and clean. It was a nice size room with a king bed which is hard to find in NYC. The rooftop bar was fun and the restaurant was delicious. I will definitely stay here again when I return .

Nice rooms, good staff but the windows in the rooms open....so the people next to us decided to smoke ( in a non smoking room) and it very quickly traveled into my room. After multiple calls to the front desk there was nothing they could about it. We were stuck in a Smokey room and the hotel did not seem to care. They could have moved us but decided not to, even though they had available rooms. I won’t ever stay at this hotel again and I wouldn’t advise anyone else to either. The customer service is not up to par and this could be a really great place which makes my situation very sad.

Did not stay but did appreciate the super friendly staff at Print Restaurant and The Press Lounge rooftop bar. Also, lobby was clean, busy and full of good energy. Looks like the hotel has bikes that guests can use. Pretty cool. I would stay here.

Where is the love button. I supported a mentee with her conference here and the treatment was amazing. The hotel is clean. I am a big hotel critic and this one was spotless and super clean. The rooftop experience is gorgeous and the dining downstairs is great.

This Kimpton, just like any other, is absolutely fabulous. Their superb service sets them apart from other hotels in this price range. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. I highly recommend you check out Press Lounge on the 15th floor: one of the best Skyline views in West Manhattan. The only downside to the location is that it is not near any subway lines.

I was impressed with the Kimpton48 Hotel the moment I arrived and checked in, The Hotel Rep was very helpful and my reservation to our room was confirmed and ready, This was a great 3 day weekend, I was celebrating my girlfriend birthday and we had a great time at the Kimpton48 Hotel.

Our room was nice, spacious, Very Clean, The shower was perfect and we had a hot-tub in our room. The seen from our room over looking midtown skyline. I must say the entire stay was very relaxing and pleasant from the moment we arrived. They provided us with plenty of towels, (2) robs. We also had a sofa in our room which was next to oversize window with a nice view at night. I can't wait to go back.

Was pleasantly surprised at the service. Valet, concierge, and attendants were all very attentive and polite, easy to get along with. Everyone was so kind to my little puppy. Reasonable price for a LOVELY room and no pet fee!

In-room dining was excellent! Beet salad was scrumptious, burger and fries did the job, plenty of little extras to buy, drinks and snacks. TV had limited channels due to connection issue.

Valet was trustworthy and quick service. Overall, great experience. Will be coming back with little doggo next time!

Lovely design hotel, but without the friendly welcoming and caring staff we usually experience at Kimpton hotels. Nothing is ever perfect, but a smile goes a long way. Very comfortable bed and we highly recommend getting a room with river and skyline views. Breakfast at PRINT featured a very tasty yoghurt.

Amazing hotel. It was my birthday. Not only did they upgrade my room but they also left me free fresh berries and champagne during turn down. The customer service was fantastic. The rooms were quiet and clean. If you have the option upgrading to a corner room do it. The view of the city well worth it. Happy Travels!

My experience was at the bar next to print restaurant. Drinks were great but the woman who i asked to start my tab only charged me for one drink and ended up charging the rest of my bill which consisted of a burger and 2 other drinks to the main bill of our entire party after our dinner at Print. Not a crazy headache but confusion did arrive when it was time to pay the bill. We next went to a rooftop bar which looked pretty basic in regards to decorations. I guess they were counting on the view of the city to distract us from the fact that the place was so packed and every drink down to a simple beer cost $20... Or did I get taken. There was no place to even stand except outside on the terrace only because it was so Cold out.

Stayed here for five nights in a Hudson River suite. The room was huge and well appointed. The staff were fantastic, and the night clerk who checked us in and out took great care of us. Sadly, great 1am front desk service can be hard to come by at even upscale NYC hotels, but the Ink48 was very good.

On a cold windy morning the walk to the CE subway can feel a bit long, but in truth it wasn't bad after a couple of trips to get used to the walk. The area is very quiet at night, and we slept really well. Not far to Hell's Kitchen restaurants. Good for the NYC traveler who wants a nice hotel but doesn't mind a little walking.

Really nice hotel in a quiet area of Hells Kitchen overlooking the Hudson river. It's about a 15 - 20 minute walk to Times Square.

There is a trendy bar with balcony looking out to the City Skyline and the river called Press.

The rooms are modern and spacious, we had 2 sinks inside the room itself with a bath in the room also. As well as a seperate shower room and toilet.

I stay here for business a couple times a year. Nice, contemporary decor. Clean. Courteous, professional service. Kind of snobby vibe. They usurp one elevator every night to cater to their rooftop bar. Sucks when you just want to get back to your room and you have to wait twenty minutes for an elevator. If you want quiet, see if you can get a room on the river side of the building. City side is noisy.

I've only ever visited the ink 48 hotel to visit the press lounge rooftop bar. The bar, in my opinion is the best rooftop bar in Manhattan offering the best view (as it's not on Broadway or in the thick of it), the cocktakls are always first class and the atmosphere is great. I would recommend to anyone!

Comfortable but layouts of rooms are a bit unusual. Good size and amenities. However, service leaves a lotto be desired. Food dropped on floor in front of me and not re-brought to room. Told coffee isnt allowed past lobby. Pretty loud street noise so ask for a river-facing room!

I honestly, so far, believe this is the best built and decorated and cleanest of the hotels I've been in so far. The rooms are spacious and bright. The bathroom has a tub with separate showerand it's huge. 😁 The mattress is firm and does not move. A perfect place. Price is great as well.

Went there just for press lounge which was awesome. You get to see the views of Manhattan and also Hudson river making this place one of the best rooftop to visit. I went there on Saturday evening before sunset and it wasn't crowed at all but after the sunset, this place get little crowed. Do visit! Beautiful experience

This is a great hotel. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. They helped us plan our walking tour by giving some solid recommendations. The room was clean and comforting, with great pillows. They even had a texting concierge in case we needed anything. Would 100% stay here again.

Views on 13th floor, but unobstructed and slick. Not 360, but pretty close (missing SW corner along Hudson). Door staff and bartenders were surprisingly friendlier than I'd expect for a euro-style rooftop, so that earns a star. But drink costs, ugh... $14 for regular beer, $21+ for cocktails. Higher than most other roofs, and that cancels out an earned star alone. Advice: Arrive before 10p on Friday and you'll have zen. After, you'll have stress.

At the restaurant, the food was amazing. The staff was attentive and the ambiance was very nice. Be prepared to be cold, though, as they have the air conditioner going strong. There rooftop bar has spectacular views of both the city and the river. I highly recommend going.

Dinner at Print was very nice. My Berkshire Pork Chop was nicely done. Short ribs also got the thumbs up at my table, but the big winner was my friend who ordered the tagliatelle pasta. The noodles were perfect and the sauce went great with the delicate vegetables from the summer. Dessert with the rice pudding over a pastry shell also was quite delicious. After we ran up to the Press Room for the stunning views. We quickly felt old among the crowd so we did a few snaps of the glowing pool and the twinkling city before hopping on the down elevator.

The hotel was very nice. We had limited interaction with employees after check in, but they were very nice and helpful. The lobby, restaurant, and rooftop lounge were very cool. Drinks at the Press rooftop lounge were very expensive, even for NYC, but the setting and view are wonderful. Breakfast at Print restaurant was delicious...pricey, but not quite as bad as the drinks upstairs. The rooms were really nice, especially since we were randomly upgraded to a "city view" room. We'd definitely stay there again

Nice hotel. Lobby, restaurant and bar are beautiful. Morning coffee and tea was nice. The room was enormous and had wall to ceiling windows with a great sunset view over the hudson. There was a roof party on the Sunday night I was there, got a little loud, but not to the point of keeping me awake, could bother some.

My sister and brother-in-law were staying at the hotel. My husband, 2 teenage son's & I went to Ink48 for a beverage & a visit. The Kimpton Hotels I've experienced were impressive through & through. We drove to NY, so the hotel car valet service was a bit confusing. Stephen at the front desk was very helpful. He was happy to give us an upgrade when we asked for it. Overall, the hotel was very clean and spacious. It was everything we expected. The only downside to the Ink48 hotel is its location in Manhattan. Hell's Kitchen is a little ways away from the popular attractions. We may look at other hotels next time we visit NYC for this reason.

Nice room on the 9th floor. Comfy beds, big bathroom. You got to pay for all beverages in the room,no biggie.. It's NYC! Didn't have a car so not sure about parking situation. Do stop at rooftop lounge for amazing NYC view... separate elevator in the hotel. Good stay!

My stay here so far has been enjoyable. The room has an excellent view of the river, and is clean and large. The bed is probably the most comfortable thing I've ever slept in! Breakfast at the Print restaurant is very good but expensive. The hotel is in easy walking distance of Times Square and the Intrepid Air and Space museum as well as the piers for boat tours. The staff have been polite enough although we have had a few mix-ups with the front desk with regards to the booking.

The room was beautiful, but a tad small. Everything was comfortable, very clean, and luxurious. My main complaint is how much in the room they advertise spending more money. "Want to use the robes? Consider buying them! Forgot something for your trip? We'll get it for you and add it to your bill!" Bottles of water, even though they were already listed on the menu card of prices, have huge stickers with their price. The biggest part is having to pay nightly for hotel WiFi. You get these at most hotels, but here it just seemed more pushy than others. Everything else was absolutely amazing, I'd definitely recommend it.

Love this place. Have stayed here multiple times, the staff is very kind and always there to help. We even got a surprise free upgrade for my friend's birthday weekend. The hotel is also very dog friendly if you have a pet. You wouldn't know it, because it's always spotless, except for the dog treats and water bowls scattered in key places in the hotel.

Stayed here for business . I have to say as time passes the hotel rooms in the city are getting smaller. This place by far is the spacious hotel room I have stayed in Manhattan Island.

Everything smells luxury and class. From the bathroom soap to shower heads in the shower. Staff is very polite and courteous.

Amazing , simply amazing roof Press Lounge. The views are one of the best skyscraper view on Manhattan.

Also lot of options to choose from specially in room service includes dinning. Enjoyed our brief stay and will not hesitant to recommend this lovely gem.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The location was great for what we wanted as we were leaving on a cruise in the morning. Our room was nice, and even almost roomy by NYC standards.

However....

It took room service almost 3 hours to bring a couple of extra pillows. Turns out I didn't need them though, as I wouldn't be able to sleep much at all. I should have fully read the reviews as opposed to looking at the overall star count. Since it's Saturday night, I'm awake writing this instead of sleeping (I really tried).

But apparently my room is right across from an *event facility*. That is what the person at the desk called it. Turns out it's a night club from actually reading the google reviews. Not sure why he couldn't actually be honest with what it was. I just got a shoulder shrug and "sorry" when I commented about how it wasn't possible to actually sleep in the room.

But if you stay maybe request the side that is NOT across from the street from it (unless you plan on staying up all night, then please request this side so other unsuspecting peeps who actually want to sleep don't get stuck with this location.

Seriously, it's 5:36 and it is finally quit enough to get some sleep.

An amazing experience from the moment we walked in. The Press lounge was beautiful and spectacular. The Print restaurant is one of the best restaurants we've eaten in. Our waiter Patrick was absolutely lovely, engaging and attentive. I have stayed there for the last 4 years when I go to the city. It is A little trendy and modern, but that doesn't bother me. Very helpful staff. Very nice rooms. There isn't too much in the immediate area but it's NYC so it's easy to get wherever you want to go. Valet service takes foreverto get your car though so plan accordingly.

We are checking out tomorrow after having been here for nearly 2 weeks and we don't want to leave. What a great place to base yourself for adventures in New York. Far enough away from the noise and pandemonium but close enough to walk to public transport and Times Square. So many great food options in the area as well as the most incredible rooftop bar. The staff have been lovely and quickly solved an issue we had with a loud noise coming from our room wall by relocating us to a bigger suite. We will absolutely be recommending Ink48 to our friends back home as well as our travel agent as we were the first guests he had booked here.

Room 1118.
Celebrating Anniversary.

From check in, to check out, the quality of customer service we recieved from the Kimpton staff went far beyond that of rival hotels. The Kimpton Ink 48 is a paradise for couples seeking a intimate romantic setting close to all the action of NYC without the noise and conjestion .

Highlights of our stay would include: Daily wine reception in the lobby, comfortable spacious suites with bathrooms that will make you never want to leave and a rooftop lounge with breathtaking views of the city.

In conclusion... The Kimpton Ink 48 sets the precedent for which all hotels in NYC should strive to marvel. I would like to thank Justin, Stephen, Amanda and all other hotel staff for their warm hospitality and generosity throughout our stay. We cant wait to be back!!

Best,
Noah & Leyla

Some friends and I went for an overnight stay. The front desk staff was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The free hot chocolate was great too! Rooms were nice and clean with comfy beds, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was loud at night because our room faced a bar across the street so there were a lot of voices and car honking which was frustrating, but it quieted down eventually. Overall, a nice hotel and great staff.

We were in room 302 and it was a great view of the skyline as well as a good location near a lit of good food. Metro was a bit far but not horrible. Quite close to Times Square. Rooms were quiet (for NY) and had a nice blackout curtain for light. We got a big bathroom with a large tub amd a shower which was great.

Booked a suite for our wedding weekend. We live a few blocks away and wanted a pet friendly hotel since our Tilly would be the ring bearer. I stayed in the suite with my mom and sister the first night and got ready the next day with the hair and make-up team and maid of honor. There were plenty of room for everyone to navigate and the bathroom was add the view were BEAUTIFUL! We ordered delivery from local restaurants a few times and they would send a security guard with each and every delivery person to the room. The only reason I took a star off when we checked in I was placing my wedding dress on the cart for the bellman and he took it from me to put it on the outside of the cart. Add he was doing so he was shoving it against one of the bars quite forcefully and I panicked because the material was super delicate. When we got upstairs to the room sure enough there was a tear in my dress. I didn't want to make a deal it was a mistake but it broke my heart. They sent a bottle of sparkling and a lovely card that evening compliments of the hotel congratulating us on our upcoming nuptuals. All in all it was a nice stay minus the dress incident.

Stayed at the King Studio in August.
The city view was amazing from the large windows, the roof top bar was pricey but had a great panoramic view. You will hear an occasional honk or siren at night - but the sound was not an issue for me.
The room was newly renovated and spacious. The bed was so comfortable and lastly, the staff was very kind and thoughtful. I just wish breakfast was included but the beautiful hotel and close restaurants made up for it.

I love Ink48, I've stayed there maybe five or six times. Everyone who works there is super friendly and the rooms are impeccable. Hell's kitchen is a great location with a cool atmosphere and none of the tourist traffic. The rooftop bar is always bumping at night and if you're a hotel guest you can skip the long outdoor line to get up there.

Also the hotel is pet friendly if that's your thing!

This is such a nice hotel. When we stayed here a couple years ago for a staycation we loved this place. The staff was great, they took great care of us and the dogs (with a special mention on the sign by the entrance!) and they have a great rooftop bar with amazing views. Good location, too.

This hotel was the crash pad for our bachelorette for a friend. We managed to stay in a double deluxe. We had 5 girls. We made it work by spooning lol. Either way, the room is large and spacious with plenty of storage. There is no chase to sleep on in the room we stayed in 414 . However there was a chair to relax on , and one of the girls was tempted to sleep on that instead of being in the middle. If you bring a twin air mattress, you can inflate it in the room or possibly even get a rollaway? The views that they are notorious for is truly known for is absolutely true. The lounge is a fun chill spot , but not a club scene by any means. It is also located in a convenient area . Great for in and out access of lincoln tunnel. Valet parking is quite a bit of money but well worth the 50 or whatever it was . They will kindly take your car and will have it ready for departure when you call them 30-45 minutes ahead. You can not take your car in and out though, unless you want to pay double. The whole experience here was phenomenal. The staff is so courteous and kind. The concierge helped made sure we had a wonderful time for our bride to be and house keeping was so helpful and super fast for deliveries. We will definitely be staying here again when we need to stay in Manhattan! Thank you for the wonderful time!

Loved it! Spacious, well appointed rooms in a fun neighborhood close to everything. The restaurant has pretty good food, but the rooftop bar really sets this place apart. The staff is warm, interested, and accommodating.

I've stayed in many Manhattan hotels through the years, and have multiple points of comparison. Ink48 has their act together. Will be staying here next business trip to NYC.

The room itself was very nice, very open, light, and airy. I booked the room for the incredible view that it is supposed to have, however it has scaffolding blocking the view from every window.. I understand about the need to renovate, however the hotel had six weeks to tell me about this situation and never did. Not even at check in. They did give me a rather sizable discount, but it didn't fix the view.
Also everything is incredibly over priced. Two cappuccinos and two mini muffins cost me $45. A club sandwich costs $28.
I experienced several other little snafus during the two nights i stayed.
Beautiful Hotel but the service is a joke.

Perfect for access to the Ogilvy office. Good rooms, up and coming area with good food options, and dog friendly.

The hotel is nice. Staff are friendly. We paid extra for a room with a view but the building has scaffolding on. Also no tea or coffee facilities in the room.

We chose Ink48 for my girlfriend's birthday, and the night ended awfully for everyone in our party. Please note that, as patrons, we did not anticipate the improper treatment we received yesterday as we were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. As a couples dinner, we read great reviews online about your establishment, and spent a lot of money while dining at Print restaurant and at the Press Lounge. As we finished our evening, we were requesting to use the bathroom before we departed. We inquired with the Front Desk, and were rudely treated by the staff.

When we asked to use the bathroom on the first floor, and we were told by the "lead manager" that the establishment is not a "public bathroom" and to "use our common sense." My friend questioned him on his behavior, and informed him that we were finishing our night and just needed to use the restroom before we left the establishment. In a very rude, displeasing tone he loudly stated that we "should use our common sense". We asked for his manager but instead of handling the situation professionally and with courtesy, he went onto threatening to call the police on my friend, and on all of us, and called the bouncers from the Press Lounge.

He appeared to be of asian descent wearing a nametag of "Joseph Marotta." This event occurred on the morning of June 28th around 2:30AM. Because it was my girlfriend's birthday, we decided to not further ruin our night and walk away even though we truly felt disgusted by this 'Joseph Moretta' named individual's behavior. Please do go ahead if you wish and review the surveillance videos to confirm these events.

If patrons/customers are subjected to such underhanded behavior by the Front Desk of a New York City hotel, what type of message is being conveyed? Apparently this individual and other members of the front desk is not psychologically competent enough nor educated enough in the area of customer service to treat customers. Customers are the key to a business' success. We were celebrating a birthday, having a great time, and ended the evening with cynicism and threats by this individual.

I would like his supervisor to contact me on this matter as i will be taking it to every source i can to show how awfully we were treated. Hiring this individual might not be Ink 48's fault, but keeping him will certainly cost them as i can only imagine how he is treating/will be treating many other customers who will never return to Ink48, and/or who will negatively impact Ink48's reputation. I can be reached by phone or email, as this was truly the worst way to end a birthday celebration at a reviewed establishment. Regards,
