Green Key Eco-Rating Program 4

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management

The hotel is right in downtown and is close to shops, restaurants and a grocery store. The hotel has a very good feel. The suite itself was beautiful with a large bedroom, living and dining room. The kitchen was exactly what we needed, it had a dishwasher, fridge with freezer, stovetop and all the essential pans and dishes. I was carrying breastpump and bottles for my baby and the room had everything I needed to deal with all that. I highly recommend it.

Loved the clean, luxurious room with big windows and very comfortable bed that we were given. The room was well-equipped with coffee/tea and refrigerator. Central to cafe, restaurants, shops and the nearest mall is only a couple of blocks away. Friendly front desk and very pricey hotel restaurant. Downside - no Free WiFi, quite expensive, about C$14.00+/day.

Perfect downtown location, walking distance to a number of shops and Stanley Park. Staff are kind and helpful. The Apartment style rooms are very spacious with all the necessary amentities and gives you a very home like vibe.

Less than satisfactory for a 4 star hotel. Im currently trying to write a review using the hotels horrible wifi that I had to pay for. Can barely get a signal in my room. Room smells musty like my grandmas house that was smoked in for years and eventually aired out and masked with a seniors lady's perfume. Also no pool or hot tub available due to maintenance without any warning. Are you kidding me? Trust me you can do better. Much better 4 star hotels for similar prices downtown. Wont see me here again!

It's a great hotel with great service and very friendly staff. There is a fantastic restaurant located here as well as a fairly well stocked off sale. I should mention that it has a walk score of 100 (out of 100) but if walking isn't your jam, there's also one of the best cab stands located right at the front of this hotel - where the concierge/doorman would be happy to help signal a cab for you. Also, Where else can you bump into as many high profile stars and people in Vancouver!? Thanks to the staff here for all the good times and memories! 😀

Lovely modern French decor, well appointed rooms, and wonderful staff at all levels. A higher end hotel, without being gaudy or ostentatious. I will *definitely* go back.

The check in process was easy, the hotel is neat, clean, and we'll. Kept. We stayed in the executive king suiteand the room is spacious and comfortable. The bed is comfortable. The only down side is the parking is 39 for overnight. Try not to bring a car. Walking around in Vancouver is very easy.

Not a bad suite layout, service was good, but there were a couple of issues with the amenities. There were a couple of missing cabinets, water pressure for the shower was low, and we were missing an espresso machine that was in other units.

My family and me spent a few nights there during December. Our stay in Vancouver was fantastic and made special by the staff at the Sutton Place. The Concierge service is amazing. We will definitely return to the Sutton Place hotel in future.

Fantastic service, this last time I stayed in the residence tower (appartment-style suites) and they upgraded my room to get me in earlier in the day - I know it was a lighter time of the year but still really appreciate the attention and the upgraded view that led to some fantastic photos. Their old bar has a fantastic atmosphere. In terms of chill-factor, still my favorite hotel in vancouver

Great hotel in shopping area of downtown Vancouver. East walk from train and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Hotel is clean and nice. Bathrooms need a bit of updating, but are good. Like that they provide bathrobes and the staff remembers your preferences if you've been there before.

Great decor, friendly staff, reasonable rates. My friends and I stayed here for a convention and we'll definitely stay here again next year. Their suite with kitchen, bathroom, and living room was well stocked with cooking supplies, for those who want to save money instead of dining out.

A 3 dressed as a 9. For all the prestige, the room was dated, smelled like smoke, fixture and finishing mediocre. Front desk staff were great, location was good. Not impressed at all with being charged for wi-fi and $40 for parking.

This was the second time I stayed at Sutton Place and I was not disappointed in the friendly staff and the elegant room. A pity the restaurant was being renovated as the alternative was not up to Sutton Place standard, but as there are so many great restaurants nearby it wasn't a problem. I look forward to another visit when the new restaurant opens.

Mother / Grandmother and sister stayed for a two week period while visiting and the experience was unbeatable. The doormen made my grandma feel amazing - always remembering her and asking about her day and on my mother's birthday the pianist remembered from a brief coversation a few days earlier in the foyer that it was her birthday and dedicted a song to her at a Sunday breakfast. This is a fabulous hotel to stay at - mostly due to its amazing staff!

Fully enjoyed my 5 night staying in September 2012. Great staff, wonderful amenities, reasonable price. Parking and internet charges a bit too high...
