The hotel and grounds are lovely but the spa is rather dated and rough around the edges - certainly not 4 star. I booked a spa day package but left very disappointed after a lacklustre 20 minute head massage (which should have been 25 minutes as per the package) was carried out by a young girl who had obviously had not had enough training. The manager informed me she had just finished college and kindly gave me a discount off of the cost but my friends and I left feeling very underwhelmed for the money we had spent. The spa staff are all very young and don't give off a professional feel, I would look elsewhere if you are looking for a spa day.

Spent 2 nights here with my wife. Beautiful hotel and grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Rooms were very clean and well kept. Spa facilities were clean and there's plenty on offer. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here for my wife's birthday. The place is spread over several buldings rather than one massive one which suited me well, set in a massive site with lovely views. The room was lovely, clean, spacious and in good condition. We had a wonderful full body massage at the Amarna Spa. The evening food is pub food but was nice enough. Breakfast buffet was as expected from any good hotel. The staff were all very lovely and all in all, we would come again.

7

Really nice venue and perfect for a family wedding. Didn't get a 5 star as they were lacking in staff and certain areas like the two bars were left up staffed many times.

Breakfast was a bit cold but apparently that was an off day according to other people who've been, the spa/massage and swimming was nice, the steak dinner I had at £26 was probably one of the best steaks I've eaten and the rest was your run of the mill hotel stuff, what you'd expect from a 4☆ hotel really.

Attended a wedding here. Ceremony was held out under a small pavilion over looking a large pond and water feature. Beautiful surroundings, and had the most intimate feeling even if you were out in the the open. Obviously very weather dependent but worth it for a beautiful setting. The reception and dance area has just been recently refurbished and is beautifully decorated with exposed beams and tastefully decorated.

Nice enough but I couldn't help feeling the place was a little understaffed. Those that were there were lovely though.

10

Friendly staff, decent sized rooms and everything felt well cared for, clean and tidy. Could do with a bit more choice on the menu but portion sizes were good and hit quality of the food was spot on. One thing to note is the odd way of serving condiments. Might be your cup of tea, might not.

Nice seating and atmosphere. Food prices are quite steep and limited vegetarian options. Service is good enough and staff are attentive and polite.

10

Decor amusingly grey reminiscent of HMS Dreadnought, but it's restful and tinged with antique gold. The dining room is superbly decorated and the place you want to return to, it has a beautiful out look. Staff first class, friendly. Beds comfortable, house keeping immaculate, spa has been well designed, hope to return often for that much needed short break. Highly recommended.

Swimming pool is often quiet. Feels like your own private swimming pool, loved it as a replacement whilst my gym pool was closed.

Lovely dinner, great tasting food beautifully presented in a gorgeous room. Breakfast a touch disappointing. Spa is lovely. Room was ok, very comfortable bed but a bit noisy, bulbs were out and some decor a bit untidy. Good stay overall.

8

Went here for my birthday weekend. The food was exquisite and the room was beautiful. Lots of renovation work going on here atm which meant scaffolding outside our bedroom window and contractors around the hotel. The spa was okay but kids splashing around the pool wasnt ideal when trying to relax. Overall it was a good stay and would visit again.

Loved our stay had a great time. Could have catered for the hot weather and had a bit of flexible thinking had a sheet on the bed and made sure the windows were opened prior to arrival. Most of the staff were excellent. A couple of the staff were miserable and unhelpful but on the whole fine.

5

Nice settings and clever restoration of older buildings. The work is in full flight so there is a building site theme to your stay. There was a mini fridge in the room but it was empty so not sure why it was there. Staff were friendly. The pool and sauna were good.

5

Very nice hotel. Large, clean, refurbished rooms in a beautiful setting. Only 3/5 stars as I expected more of the spa and breakfast for the cost of the room. The spa is nice enough but basic with only a pool with sauna and steam room. The breakfast is sub par/ budget buffet for an upper end hotel charging upwards from £160. The restaurant was okay, beautiful setting and pleasant staff and the food we had was tasty. If you can get a deal then it's worth a visit.
