Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

Very good location as you are close to the main streets of downtown Vancouver and the sky train. The rooms were fine overall, may need to do some Renovations soon.... The elevator was a nightmare for the four nights I stayed there. Very slow. They need to start upgrading the actual rooms and elevators to remain as a 4 hotel in my opinion. Otherwise the concerige is very nice and provided good service.

Giving less than a five stars shows how pampered society has become. Amazing room, outstanding food, and excellent location... that’s how to describe this hotel.
I’ll agree that the elevator is a death trap though.

Beautiful Hotel with a great location . Stayed there when it first opened under the name of the Mandarin Hotel. Great pool area and loved that they had phones right beside the toilet, so you wouldn't miss a call. Excellent service.

The food from its Diva restaurant was phenomenal. Convenient location in Vancouver downtown, easy access to subway lines/sky trains, walkable distance to every corner of downtown, 3 minutes to Robson street, and 10 minutes to Davis street.
Elevators are very slow. They mixed up the check out date, key cards were canceled 1 day earlier.

It's dated and worn but clean and you can't beat the location!!!! The staff is helpful and friendly. It's a five minute walk from Vancouver City Centre sky train and a few blocks from the Waterfront. The Pacific Centre Mall is right across the street and there is tons of shopping on Robson which is only a couple of blocks.

Nice hotel, pool and hot tub was really nice. The rooms were pretty good, better than I expected. The cost of parking is kind of absurd... I should have guessed it'd be this expensive in downtown but I didn't think it'd cost as much as a night's stay...

Overall, better than expected but it's pretty expensive because of the parking alone.

Yes, the decor is a bit dated but for me that added a special charm. The hotel is really well maintained, the bathrooms are uncommonly large. The gym is well equipped and the pool area is really nice! Squash court available also. And location... can’t get better. Would def come back.

I changed my first room at 4AM first night due to the noise.
Pros:
- the staff is helpful and friendly (5 stars for the staff!)
- nice and clean
- the pool and jacuzzi are very nice and clean. I went there at 9:30 PM and was alone. I could see the stars through the glass roof. Add to this the romantic guitar music - just great
- the gym also looked nice (mostly because there was nobody around)
- you can check out in the morning and leave your luggage at the reception and take it at the evening.

Cons:
- I asked for a high floor and got a room at the 17th floor. It was very noisy, I couldn't sleep and eventually at 4:00AM could not bear it anymore and called the reception. They offered to move immediately or at day time. I moved immediately. The noise had 3 main sources - the street, the elevator (mentioned also in another review) and perhaps the air conditioning system.
- it was cold in this first room. No matter if I turned the temperature regulator to the max it did not blow warm air. So I stopped the fan altogether and asked for two blankets.
- I had two twin beds which was a disappointment since I have a queen size at home and the second bed is of course of no use.
- in the first room there was a bath robe (only one despite the two beds), the second room did not have a bath robe.
- The building is surrounded by much higher buildings. As a result - the view from the top floor is ugly and the view from the bottom floors is uglier. Last year i was in Sutton place hotel and the view from there was just great (for the price of being further from the waterfront)

Great hotel close to the cruise ship terminal (8 minutes walk) and the train line to the airport (4 minutes walk).
Room was spacious and there was a bath as well as shower. Great service from all the staff we interacted with.
Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi
Only gripe was the pillows and bed were a bit 'meh' had neck and back ache after a couple of nights, but that maybe down to me.

Spent an wonderful night at The Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver over Easter weekend. Amazing service from the valet parking attendant, to the front desk and housekeeping staff. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great fitness facility and pool area, really top notch. Hard to beat this location, right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. I will be recommending this hotel to my friends and family for any future trips to the city.

This place is awesome! The hotel is clean and nice, and the staff is wonderful. We had a double bed and the woman at the front desk was very wonderful and upgraded us at no charge, it truly made our time here even more enjoyable. The hot tub was down for repairs, a huge bummer, but it needs to be fixed some time so what can you do? The location is perfect. Walking distance from museums, restaurants, and all sorts of shopping, and right down the street from Gastown! If I return to Vancouver, I'll stay here again.

I can't quite explain exactly why, but the way the room is arranged and the bed itself gave me an extremely comfortable sleep. The hotel gives me a overall warm feeling inside.

Pictures look nicer than it actually is. Heater does not work that well. Location is great and it's a good budget alternative to the Four Seasons across the street. Still felt overpriced for what was offered. Expedia said choice of beds but not the case. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend if the price was a little lower

The room I stay is clean with average size but the washroom is big, because they have a bathtub one side and the shower on the other, so that's why is a bit bigger. And because the hotel is in the downtown area so not much on the view is present. The Christmas party buffet is OK not really amazing so take away one star.

Stay right at the core of downtown! Perfectly situated between downtown and the waterfront, a walk away from almost anything! Until today I have heard some places let you check in early but this is the first time I have ever been offered this option. The staff is very friendly, the service is outstanding and the checkout was quick and easy. I only have one complain: the wireless internet. It's worse than dial up, it cuts often and it's unreliable, which in today's day and age is just unacceptable.

I enjoy this downtown boutique hotel. It is great for business as you really are in the heart of business district. But the hotel is aging. The elevators need some love. The rooms could use some updating. The restaurant is good and the bar friendly. The gym is petite, but it has everything. There is a pool which surprised me - it too is small but delightful. The hotel does have one of the nicest concierges I've met in awhile.

Professional staff, perhaps a bit too professional in demeanor. Excellent location, especially if going to a theatre show. Spacious rooms, especially the bathroom. Firm beds and average bedding, but comfortable. Our suite, at least, had no microwave which seemed a bit odd. Perhaps a tactic to encourage room service or restaurant orders. Or maybe microwaves don't fit into the semi-upscale ambience they were going for. A bit dated, as others have mentioned, especially as evidenced by the old, slow and noisy elevators - the hotel as a whole was quiet but I was woken up by the elevator creaks and thumps a few times. Also, was disappointed because I chose early check-in with my reservation but ended up not needing it. Tried to change my reservation online but website would continually give an error. Ended up emailing and was told it was too late to change reservation, so I was out $30. Yes, only $30, but was still frustrating.

Nice, centrally located hotel. Short walk to both bc place stadium, Rogers arena, the waterfront area, and stanley park. Pool available for guests. Food, mall, art museum are also nearby. Courteous staff. We would stay here again in the future. Our room had a small terrace.

A great place for a meeting. They have a very nice layout, excellent equipment for visual presentations and a terrific snack and lunch spread. Very helpful staff. Helped me fix an internet issue that ended up being on my end but they didn't mind. They let me use the shower in the gym after I had already checked out which was amazing after a long day of work and a long wait for a flight ahead of me. The bed was way more comfortable than my own and it made me feel obligated to upgrade mine.

Low key luxury, but it hits all the right points with me. Soaking tub in the bathroom and luxurious bedding. Friendly and attentive staff (you never have to flag your own taxi, open the lobby door, or call for the elevator because there are people for that). And the location cannot be beaten.

9

Old school, but classy. Sparsely furnished, but everything is VERY functional and has a purpose or multiple. Room was clean, and staff were all super courteous. Only point of contention is the 100$/day pre-auth/deposit policy they have for incidentals. Seems unnecessarily high for one guy staying in a basic King suite. That can tie up a credit line pretty quickly if you've got a longer stay...

Absolutely lovely stay, lovely staff, in such a lovely city. My only negative thought is the "men's only" steam room. I love steam rooms and happen not to be male and so was quietly outraged. Otherwise, loved it!

The Metropolitan is a nice hotel in downtown Vancouver. (It's only 1 block away from Vancouver City Centre station). It has the feel and look of an older hotel while still being modernized to fit today's standards. Great for business customers as well as for those who are just looking to be in the downtown area. Nicely sized rooms with access to private-in room bar too.

Great service and beautiful facilities. They upgraded our room to a beautiful king suite. Fitness area and pool are great, and location can't be beat.

Wifi was often dreadfully slow, and slippers would be greatly appreciated given how cold the bathroom floor is. But otherwise top notch.

Five of us went to Diva at the Met to try out their Dine Out Menu. We ordered a bottle of $40 Argentina red which was quite good. The starter Tuna Carpaccio despite was presented very well but it's tasteless, I had add quite a bit of salt & pepper. The Lobster Bisque was just warm, far too much taste of the tomato. The Tenderloin was prepared to the perfection, medium rare, just the way I like. The meat was juicy and full beef flavor and sauce went very well with the dish. The Fish was light. They offered add on side orders, my friend ordered 3 prawns with her fish main for extra $12. The cheese cake was good, not so sweet. All portions of dishes are on the small side. The service was swift and very friendly.

Went to Diva at the Met with some friends for lunch. We had 3 children with us. Staff were excellent and accommodating. The regular menu looked delicious but we were very impressed with the kids menu, many options and prices far lower than we were expecting. My wife and I both had the kobe burger which was one of the finest burgers I've had in ages. The kids also split the mini burgers which also used the same meat, and thus were the tastiest childrens burgers you will find in the city. Great food and fast service, will go again even if we aren't staying at the Met.

Very convenient location and nice staff, but the rooms were much smaller than expected. Our room had two twin beds and still had very little floor space. It was clean and served its purpose, but had very few frills. Nice bar in the lobby with good daily specials.
