It's a great hotel!!Given the location the lobby bars can get a little crowded but the staff and service are wonderful!Stopped in at Glance Wine Bar before seeing a concert at Staples Center and the staff was awesome! Alex, Lupita, and Robert, thank you so much for your hospitality. And thank you Sergio for introducing the bestie and I to such great people!! You all do a wonderful job!!

Remarkable stay! This was the first time I stayed at this hotel. I am very happy that I came all the way to this awesome place. I need to come back because it's a good one. Highly recommended for both meetings and friends as well for having an excellent atmosphere. Cheers to more customers in the future.

Nice hotel. Staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful. Bed was comfortable, great pillows, temperature easy to control. The TV remote didn't work but they quickly fixed that. I would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Pretty good location. Easy walk to many places. Short walk from train stop so it was pretty simple to get here from the airport. But had no idea about the hills of Seattle, fun with luggage. Only issue was there was never anyone at the Concierge Desk?

Wow! I was totally blown away by the Hotel Monaco! Conveniently located a short walk away from Pike's Place market, the piers, and tons of shopping and dining. My husband and I stayed here over the Fourth of July and I wish that every hotel could be as wonderful as this one! The manager, Elias, was so helpful and accommodating and even helped us with some concierge things, set us up at an incredible place for dinner, and was all around wonderful.
We paid for parking in a near by garage instead of paying the $42 for parking at the hotel and we stayed in the King suite with was GORGEOUS! Our room was super nice and spacious with a full living room/office area and beyond that was a bedroom with the most comfortable fluffy bed I have ever experienced in a hotel. The bathroom had really luxurious lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. The sitting room had a television, desk, Kurig coffee maker, and couch. There was even a yoga mat in our room. Another thing I love about this hotel is that it is completely pet friendly, and we didn't hear (or smell) a single pet our entire stay.
The fitness room was downstairs from the lobby and was pretty nice, and the front desk told us that we even had access to a gym down the street that offered crossfit (among other) classes, but we were on vacation and didn't take advantage of that. The hotel even offers free bicycles to use while you are staying there. While we were there, they had nightly "guest receptions" in the hotel lobby where they had free red and white wine for a an hour or so, and we had a great time and talked to a few other guests while enjoying so good wine.
There is also a restaurant/lounge attached at the lobby, The Outlier, and even though we didn't eat there, we stopped and had a drink after dinner one day and the drinks were divine!
Again, I cannot say enough great things about this hotel and I will most definitely be staying here again!

I went into this hotel this morning, the 2 ladies at the desk were so helpful and friendly. It's so beautiful inside, I did not actually stay here but I will be referring my friends and family that come visit me in Seattle to stay here. Great service! Thank you.

Kimpton Hotel typically includes a contemporary restaurant as part of hotel. Here at Seattle Kimpton Monaco Hotel, is the Outlier.

Hotel lobby is connected to the restaurant creating a convenient for both businesses. Hotel lobby decor is trendy, tasteful and takes on clues from the northwest history and culture. Traditional concierge desks, elevator lobby decor and fireplace in seatings lounge.

Loved the carpeted seating along the sidewalk by valet parking. Really?!

Excellent hotel. Very friendly staff and the amenities are plentiful. They do charge a daily fee on top of your room rate for amenities but it is not too expensive. They will hold the equivalent of $75 per night on your credit card for incidentals so make sure you have your card with you when you arrive.

Good gift shop for emergent needs. Restaurant is very good. Rooms are well appointed and extremely clean. Blows the Hilton out of the water. The WiFi is excellent. Furniture looks very nice but is not the most comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable.

Worth the money.

So far, great! The location is fantastic and the room is beautiful. Tons of snacks/beverages available in the room (for a fee, but it's obvious and priced out). The staff is super friendly.

The reception staff that greeted me during check in and assisted during check out were very courteous, cheerful, and friendly. The lobby area, building, and room were very clean, and impressive. It felt like I was staying in at least a 4 star hotel. The bed was very comfortable and shower water warm. I couldn't have asked for a better stay, unless they offered free breakfast. But I'll settle for the free coffee. Highly suggest this hotel.

Great downtown location, a 15 minute walk to pike place market, and similarly close to the space needle. Fantastic service. We had a very early departure, and the staff had our car ready and waiting for us at 4:15 am. The gigantic room was very comfortable, would stay again.

It's a great hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Nice lobby and friendly staff. My room was fairly small, but that was not an issue as my plans kept me out all day. The bathroom and shower we're really nice and spacious. One thing I love and need is a power socket near the bed side for phone recharging. You would be surprised how many hotels don't have this, but this one (thankfully) did.

I love this hotel, the decor is amazing. Everyone on staff is always so helpful and accommodating. I stay here on business trips often and it is my favorite hotel. The bellmen are always opening doors, welcoming you in. Front desk agents are always willing to go above and beyond. Will always be my hotel of choice.

Did I mention free wine from 5-6pm? Perfect after a long day at work!

Nice vibe! Busy but not too busy. Valet and front desk are great! Happy hour is nice with wine. Dog friendly...they have in room dining for your furry friends too! Rooms are big without being too big. Beds are comfy and towels won't scratch your skin off. Seriously, some hotels just can't get that 1 thing right. S lovely stay and I will be back. Also, go to the Crumpet Shop for breakfast. Apparently even the Brits like it!

Decent hotel for the price we paid. Great location. I was a little disappointed in the room we got. #407 I believe. The view is of the building that is pretty close across the street. You could talk to the people in the windows of the office. Maybe request a room higher or on a different side.

We loved the room. Between the very beautiful/modern decor and the furniture not only being very comfortable but placed conveniently, this place has my approval! And the wine hour between 5-6pm for no additional cost is fantastic! And the location is just to perfect. Provo to the staff for also being extremely kind and respectful while answering every question I had and I buzzed the front desk quite a bit. I will definitely return to this top notch hotel

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

This hotel was fantastic! I had ordered a bottle of something to drink when we arrived and thought it was supposed to be a red wine. When we got to our room I noticed it's a cold champagne. I got a text from the hotel asking if everything was good. I mentioned I thought I was getting red wine. They sent us a bottle of red and told us to keep the champagne too! They also had a wine tasting in the evening and we loved the drinks and company. Staff was very friendly.

Love this hotel! Very attentive guest services, great restaurant and bar downstairs that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms are very nice and clean (I love the decor and choice of furniture style) and the front door bellmen area very attentive and on it! From helping with my luggage to getting the door for me every time. Plus it's in a very convenient area right downtown. A short Uber ride to many must see places! I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere nice and comfortable, a home away from home!

This is a fun, smaller hotel in downtown Seattle. Parking is pretty much non-existent so you're forced to use their valet service which can be quite slow at times.
The rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable. My only complaint is that the pressure in the shower was not fantastic.

Robert Pace

8

Great location downtown, fantastic bar, but the water pressure in the shower was less than optimal. The staff does a great job, but I was barred from checking in with out my wife which was a little weird since we have the same last name. The front desk had to call my wife ensuring it was ok for me to check in while she got her nails done. The reverse sexual discrimination was an unusual and unique expertise, but it just par for the course in keeping Seattle weird and we got a good laugh out of it. The hotel is an eclectic mix of decor and my sister in law had her wedding at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. The staff did a great job, but I was expecting more from the catering. The valet was great, however they do get a little busy, so call five to ten minutes ahead so your not waiting for your vehicle. The nightly rate was a little high for the service and experience, but we would visit again.

Prime location in the heart of downtown Seattle. It is about a 5-7 min walk to pikes place and across from the beautiful public library. The standard room was spacious and modern, but still had a unique boutique feel to it. Love that valet parking is complimentary!

The Kimpton is my favorite hotel in Seattle. The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful. The hotel interior is gorgeous, I love the decor in all the rooms and the bathrooms are large and very modern. Everything was exceptionally clean and all amenities were provided for on our visit. The Kimpton Monaco is also in a great location in Seattle, it's very close to downtown area with lots of options for sightseeing, dining and shopping. We also love that Kimptons are pet friendly and of course love the wine happy hour in the lobby every night.

There's a reason why I love Kimpton properties!!!!! I stayed here for a business trip in September. I've worked in Hospitality/Management for 10+ years and I was really impressed. The rooms were immaculate! Every single staff member I encountered were courteous and very helpful. If that wasn't enough I drove our Chevy Bolt to Seattle and their valet not only parked the car but they charged the battery for me!

Came for a girls' weekend and had a lovely stay! Staff was very responsive, going above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Really nice hotel and very friendly staff. They have complimentary wine hour in the afternoon. Expect a lobby full of crowd during that time.

The valet parking will include the overnight parking $42, and the facility fee $15, and some tax throw on top of that. So if you do plan bring the car here, either book with their Karma Rewards(brings down parking to $30), or just be prepared.

The location is just nearby the public library and few blocks from the water front. Very walkable to the popular spots in downtown area.

This was my first stay at a Kimpton property and I was very impressed! The front desk staff, bell service, and valet we're friendly and efficient. We also learned they accept pets without a pet fee, which as pet parents was great info for our next trip. Our room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because after check in it did take several calls to finally get through to housekeeping to request a few items we forgot to bring. It's also not a huge deal but there was a small tear in the shower curtain and some rust spots on a fire sprinkler in the corner of the bathroom ceiling. Overall out stay was very pleasant and I highly recommend the Hotel Monaco. We plan to stay here our next visit to Seattle and will absolutely try other Kimpton properties in the future!

The Kimpton Monaco is a nice hotel, the other Kimpton hotels each have their advantages, but my favorite aspect of the Monaco is the beautiful lobby, which makes the complimentary wine hour that much more enjoyable, especially during Christmas time. The gift store that's attached is also a convienet addition. The rooms and service is what you would expect for the price and location.

The hotel was great. Loved the decor and the vibe. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The staff is lovely. One complaint was the restaurant. I ordered a grilled duck breast which was not even hot and tasted really bad. Next day breakfast was just ok. The food was relatively very expensive but quality was really bad. The hotel is in a great location in the middle of Seattle downtown and it overall it was a good stay.

The week before our trip, I received an email asking if I wanted an upgraded room for only $8 more/night. I opted in, and was notified I'd be informed of availability upon check in. I was never updated me and we were placed in the original room we booked. The room itself was nice, but the bathroom was way oversized, which made it seem bare. The AC was noisy, making a clicking noise everytime it turned on and off. Walls seemed thin and housekeeping was also noisy, all of which made it hard to sleep. Some pros: staff was very friendly, and we were surprised by a bottle of champagne in our room (I had indicated on the reservation it was our anniversary). The $10 mini bar credit and $5 credit for declining housekeeping was a nice perk as well. The location of the hotel was also convenient to public transportation and local attractions. However, overall the price of our stay (over $800 for 2 nights in a deluxe King room) wasn't worth it.

Very nice downtown Seattle hotel. Rooms are modern, large and well-maintained. Top stars for my stay. I had boxes shipped here and they were stored well and brought up to my room on arrival. Very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable bed. One of my favorite downtown hotels, the Kimpton Hotel Monaco has a fun Mediterranean themed interior with great service and a fantastic loyalty program. Lobby and rooms were very clean. Rooms were a little small, but fine for me. Only downside was the misleading room service pricing. I ordered one plate of food advertised at $12, and a cup of coffee. Absolutely love Kimpton hotels. Stayed here on a business trip in November. Love that they are dog friendly; however, not a lot of great places to take the dog out being in downtown Seattle. Staff is great, rooms are modern, valet is prompt. Starbucks next door but the bar and room service serve great coffee and food as well. Highly recommend.

Top notch customer service. Our room wasn't ready on time but they comped us drinks at the bar. Then our bags weren't taken up to our room as requested when the room was ready. We had to call twice to get our bags up. Then the front desk attendant recognized me in the lobby an hour later. He called me over to the desk by name, personally apologized and comped us $50 at the restaurant.
Sure they made some mistakes but they went the extra mile to make it up to us without us even complaining.

I came here to get happy hour at Sazerac. I really enjoyed the bar. We got the house red, a whiskey, and some small bites. The goat cheese bacon wrapped dates were amazing! I took off one star because it's a bit expensive for the amount of food they give you.

Great hotel... loved it! Beautiful, clean and reasonably priced. Also, it was right in the middle of Seattle so it was close to everything. This is a quirky little hotel that doesn't stop surprising. We got a suite on the 11(top) floor. It was extremely quite the entire stay. The room had a king size bed and a sofa sleeper. The bed was comfortable and slept well. The bathroom was nice . It had very nice amenities.

Nice hotel and rooms are spacious. We had room service for breakfast and it was good quality and fairly prompt. Everyone was super friendly. We have stayed at the Monaco in Baltimore and was very pleased at the service and amenities that was offered there. I'm very much looking forward to see how this one in Seattle will compare.
Hopefully, I can review this when I get back from my stay.

As I was Google-ing the Hotel Monaco Seattle to book our second stay this year, I happened to glance to the right of my search and was AGAST to see that the Hotel Monaco Seattle only had 3.4 stars. WHAT?!!??!!?!?!?!?! The Hotel Monaco is a lovely, fabulous, amazingly hospitable and kind establishment that my husband and I can't wait to go back to.

We went to the Hotel Monaco for the first time in January of this year (2015). We were instantly greeted by a knowledgable and friendly staff, who continued to check in on how our vacation/room/experience was going throughout our 3 night stay. We very much enjoyed the complimentary wine hour, the rooms were impeccably clean, and the hotel was very modern. The coffee and hot chocolate in the morning was an added plus :)

I can't wait to stay at the Hotel Monaco in Seattle again!
