We integrate sustainable development into our operating procedures, contribute to preserve local communities and the natural ecosystems in which our hotel is located. With all sister hotels, we have already planted three million trees as part of a global reforestation project supported by the United Nations. The last but not the least, we engage our partners and suppliers in their sustainable development strategy and integrate them into the responsibility chain.

Certifications

Planet 21 Bronze

AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:

- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons

- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food

Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues

A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

Earth Check

The EarthCheck six-step process starts with benchmarking to lay the foundation for sustainable practices and ends with several levels of certification. EarthCheck provide hotels with quantifiable metrics to maximise guest experiences, minimise their environmental footprint and benefit the local community:

• Water use optimization through rain water harvesting, reuse and recycling of water and reduction of per room night water consumption.
• CO2 emissions reduction
• Waste reduction
• Contribute towards the social development of local communities
• Responsible purchasing of local and fair products
• Increase use of renewable and cleaner sources of energy
• Driving awareness on environmental issues with customers, vendors and target communities in society
• Use of eco-friendly products
• Rooms with organic mattresses and energy-efficient windows
• Food products are sourced locally and regionally whenever possible, with preference given to organic products whenever possible.
• Compost policy
• Sourcing biodegradable chemicals

Great location very close to so many different types of restaurants and Caffe’s. Handy to get to the Big bus just 5 min walk and a very good rooms and customers service from all the staff at the hotel. Well done Novotel Paris we might see you soon again...

My wife and I looked for a centrally located hotel, and found the area surrounding the Louvre museum to meet most of our needs. We choose Novotel by previous experience in other countries and recommendation of our travel agent.

1) Location - it mostly depends on what you look for. We looked for a hotel with a walking distance from many "must-see" sites. The location of the hotel absolutely met our needs. 10 minutes easy walk to Notre dame, 7 minutes' walk to Louvre and Tuileries garden, 10-15 min walk to the Latin quarter, around 15 min walk to the opera.
Behind the hotel there is a forum (shopping center with restaurants and cafes), and next to it you can find a large area of pubs, coffee shops and restaurants.
There is a metro station right in front of the hotel, 20 meters or so. 3 metro lines go through that station. Very comfortable to get from one place to another. Huge advantage during the winter.

2) Room - we had the superior room, so referral to this one only. Very nicely decorated, comfortable bed, cable TV with many channels, large desk to fill up your tax refund forms, standing shower is nice with a matte glass which can be changed to transparent if someone likes. Room is clean, there is coffee & tea, minibar.
Also, a fitness room which includes treadmill x2, elliptical x1 and bicycle x2 as well as weights.
The only thing I found disappointing, and therefore deducted a star for, is the fact that our room was located almost in the end of the corridor. We left the hotel every day around 09:00, and returned back to the room to have some rest around 15:00-15:30. 2 out of the 4 nights we stayed there, they didn’t manage to clean the room by the time we came back. When we asked if someone can come later, she said that they finish working. When we realized that this experience keeps reoccurring, we approached the front desk and they've assisted us. But I think that 6-7 hours away was supposed to be enough from the very beginning.

3) staff - absolutely great. Very helpful, welcome you with a smile, and assisted in every need.
Last thing to mention: we left the kids with their grandparents back home, but in the hotel there were family with kids. The kids have a place to play and watch TV in the ground floor, the breakfast is good for both adults and children. Therefore, I would recommend this hotel for families as well.

Great experience by all means.
Enjoy Paris.

Great service and staff. Very helpful and polite. I booked for a triple sharing but found out the triple sharing room is the same as a double standard room. The only diff is that they open the sofa bed for that and its closed for the standard double. What disappoints me is that they dont even give us a water bottel for the kind of price we pay for the room. Its 5Euros for 1 small bottled water!

Great location, right in the heart of paris and good hotel over all. The rooms are a bit small. Breakfast very basic. But many alternatives in walking distance. Right next to the central station of Le Halles that also contains a 4 story mall with a cinema. We walked to almost all famous spots from here.

Beautiful hotel, extremely well located. Bathroom is cool. It has a clear glass wall so you can see completely through it, or at the touch of a button the glass becomes completely frosted and opaque. Use exit 1 from the metro to exit. One star removed because the air cond does not work properly. It is boiling hot inside when the temperatures are 10 degrees C outside. Many calls to the reception could not fix it. Finally they told us to just turn off the air cond. Fantastic, now we have to resort to windows for ventilation. Not good enough for a hotel of this standard.

You can see the playroom from the bar!

Very nice & helpful folks all around this amazing hotel. Great rooms in a great neighborhood to stroll around in. At Christmas, there's a small x-mas market next door, and it's near a million shops.

From the lounge, you can see the only entrance/exit from the children's playroom, so if you want to grab an espresso or something stronger, you can keep an eye on the children's playroom. If you do stop by, ask for Fares (Ferris), a very understanding bartender who doesn't bat an eyelash when you run to the playroom to see who's crying!

Had a lovely stay here last week. I travelled with my teenage daughter and we had the best city break ever. The hotel is very modern and extremely clean. The reception area is very well run and the staff can not do enough to help you get to where you want to be. The buffet breakfast has plenty to meet everybody’s taste from continental to a hot platter and the juices are all freshly squeezed. The breakfast is of a good 4 star. We were upgraded room wise and it was newly decorated on floor 2 which was lovely. Very modern and the hotels location is just the icing on the cake. Walking Truthfully 5 minutes only to the Louvre Museum, the city your bus hop on hop off is there as well. 10 minutes to the Pompidou Centre and the hotel is in front of Les Halles the most modern shopping centre indoor and out we have ever been to. A great location with restaurants and bars immediately surrounding the hotel which we couldn’t believe how close everything was. Approx 20 minutes on and your at the L’Opera . A great hotel and location would definitely stay here again

At the beginning we thought we are dealing with a tough and rude staff. Till the next morning Matheus showed up. A very helpful manager who understood our problem and offered us a 3rd free room to our two others.

We booked through a famous app our 2 adjacent rooms and when we arrived the staff couldn’t give us what we’ve booked blaming the app for forwarding our booking so late. Matheus the next day called me to apologize and was more than a help for us.

His contribution helped in changing our first impression towards the hotel and its staff, at the end the hotel is very nice the rooms are clean and the location is excellent very close from every tourism sightseeing.

I just visited a friend there, didn't stay for the night. The rooms are as classy as what the entrance seems to insinuate. Is located 20 meters away from one of the most important metro stations in France. Would recommend staying there if you are a tourist and can afford this hotel.

Novotel Paris les Halles is a wonderful hotel. The staff are all knowledgeable and extremely helpful and attentive. Clean and tidy room, comfy bed, loads of space to hang clothes, decent menu and a good selection for breakfast. Very central location, and close to the metro. The service was fantastic, the people were friendly. The bed was very comfortable, very quiet, friendly service, clean modern rooms.

Right in the heart of the city...walking distance to so many attractions, shopping, restaurants and public transportation. The Les Halles metro stop is right outside the. You can take the RER-B train from CDG airport directly to this station. Our ride in was a local train making many stops but the ride back was an express. The metro station outside the hotel is also attached to a shopping mall.

The only drawback was the construction out in front of the hotel making it hard to get to but will look beautiful when completed , but the rooms are sound proof and you don’t even hear any of the other guests doors close at night.

I will be booking this hotel in the future.

Clean and tidy room, comfy bed, loads of space to hang clothes, decent menu and a good selection for breakfast. The staff are lovely, and there's a few good restaurants nearby if you want to venture out. If you care about in room entertainment, the TV has loads of multi language channels, but remote control response time is annoyingly slow.

We spent three days in Paris recently as a family enjoyed the Novotel so much. The staff were super-professional and friendly (and though completely bilingual were charmed when one tried to speak French to them), the breakfast was an absolute feast and our room was beautiful. It was a super-central location: a 15 minute walk from Notre Dame, five minutes from the metro and within walking distance of many medium and fine dining restaurants.

My travel plans were changed at the last minute and instead of going to Lyon, I stayed in Paris once I arrived at the airport. I wanted to stay near the Marais and remembered this hotel from a previous visit. Booking on the day of arrival wasn't cheap, but I shouldn't expect anything else since its Paris during summer season.

This was my first Novotel experience and I'm happy to say it won't be my last. This is a 4-star hotel. My expectations were low but after check-out, they were exceeded. The location is perfect!

Upon arrival, I noticed construction on one side of the hotel. At my request, they assigned us to a room facing the courtyard. Speaking of construction, as you may have read from other reviews, there's also construction during the day within the hotel. No construction at night. There were periods we were in our room during the day and clearly heard the noise. I didn't let this effect my review. This hotel earns the highest of ratings.

The staff are friendly, approachable and courteous. Some approached me to see if I needed anything either during breakfast, waiting in line at the front desk or when I was having trouble signing in to the lobby computer, which is free. The staff are much nicer than other hotels I've stayed at in Paris.

Our room rate included breakfast. The area is bright as it's enclosed by glass. There are two coffee makers offering different types of coffee and hot water for tea. I consider myself to be a coffee snob and I have to say the coffee was great. Get yourself an Americano with a shot of espresso! There's a mix of hot items like eggs and potatoes. There's also a variety of cereals, individual fruits, fruit salad, yogurts, cheeses, salad mixes and pastries.

We had an executive room. I assumed it would be larger but room sizes in Europe are different from the USA. I'm assuming a standard room is a bit smaller. The room was clean and modern with IKEA-like furniture and fixtures. There's a large flat-screen TV and the bathroom was an average size with a separate door for the toilet. The amenities were better than other bathroom hotels. Another expectation met! If you look at the picture I attached to this review, you'll see the mural hanging in the courtyard our room was facing. It's a very nice touch rather than looking at a blank wall.

The public areas are modern with a contemporary flair. Free wifi is offered. The fitness center is small with a few cardio machines, free weights, stretching area, towels and apples. If I return to Paris I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Staff: Extremely helpful and friendly. Focused on customer service and serviceable english skills.

Room: Very clean and comfortable. Adequate space but not much more.

Breakfast: Good not great. Occasionally hot dishes were ice cold. Had difficulty seating the high season crowd in a timely manner.

Air Conditioning: As an American it was woefully inadequate. Our room was too hot to sleep in but fortunately we had a window facing the courtyard and slept with it open. Even in summer Paris cools off at night.

Location: Perfect. Right in the middle of everything. After all it's the 1st Arr.

The customer service has been the absolute best. We were bedraggled, attempting to carrying multiple children and suitcases, and so tired, when we walked in the door. We hadn't even fullyfully stepped in when our suitcases were taken to the desk for us. When our room wasn't ready, our suitcases disappeared and were in our room when we got inside. The front desk attendant could tell our small children were losing it and gave them gifts, talked to them while she walked us to the bar for lunch, and then personally came to find us there when our room was ready. Everything we've eaten has been amazing. This is the most comfortable bed I've ever laid on. We only had one night in Paris and I'm so glad I decided to go all out. The best.

This is my "go to" place in Paris. It's central. It's one RER ride from CDG. It's one RER ride from La Defense. It's surrounded by shopping, restaurants, and walking distance from many tourist places in Paris. And price is correct (for Paris). Service always nice.

Great hotel. Great, welcoming, contemporary decor in the hotel lobby and nice bar. There is outdoor sitting also in garden type of setting. The staff was very warm and helpful and made our stay very comfortable. They allow 3 free wi-fi per room. We were 4 people in the room since it was a family vacation, we had our two teenagers and they gave free wi-fi access to the 4th person too. Very close to metro and surrounded by all kinds of restaurants, cafe and bars. 5 minute walk from Louvre and 15 minutes on foot from Notre Dame. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located close to the RER and Metro, and within walking distance to Notre Dame and the Louvre. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were first given a room which had not been refurbished, but changed to room on one of the refurbished floors.
