Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse

The Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse is the new must-see in the 15th arrondissement, with completely redesigned living areas. Enjoy Italian cuisine on the trattoria terrace, takeaway treats at the café, or cocktails and tapas at the bar. Best of all, don't miss our rooftop view of the Eiffel Tower, which can also be seen from some rooms, suites and modular 250-seat meeting rooms.

Certifications

Planet 21 Bronze

AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:

- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons

- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food

Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues

A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

Make sure you have your French translator and your own portable A.C because people don't speak English or understand properly, and Room as hot as hell and AC its just a name , don't work at all.

This hotel is located within a reasonable distance from all of the major landmarks. It also has a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower at night. The breakfast is excellent and has something for everyone, it is definitely worth the upgrade. You can find better pricing online than from the Novotel website, which makes it a good value. It is also located very close to a metro station which becomes very handy when you purchase a weekly pass and figure out how to navigate the maze. All in all I would definitely recommend the hotel if you can get it at reasonable price.

Great location. Close to subway station, a lot of amenities around. The hotel got a very good breakfast. It gives you access to a good roof top with a friendly lounge and a nice brunch on Sunday. On the roof top, you can get panoramic view (la defense, Eiffel tower, invalides...). The staff is friendly and professional. The beds were comfortable (medium firm - firm) . There wasn't clothes iron in the room but we asked for one and we got it quickly. All in all, I will recommend this hotel.

Well located hotel just outside the touristy part of Paris. Friendly staff, decent breakfast and good catering for lunch during SANS event. The 7th has a bar and great view of the Eiffel Tower. Rooms are cleaned on daily basis and other hotel services are provide.

Only went to the rooftop bar, but front desk was very polite to direct us to the bar. View was okay, rooftops covering the eiffel tower, but you can still see the top half of it.

Was okay, Hotel management need to get organised with morning breakfast, we have to wait for 10min in the queue felt rubbish. The room were okay quite congested with little space. Loved the Novotel Paris 17 instead. However had a good connectivity to metro stations. Of course don’t book if you get into top floor views as it was closed :(

On the plus side, it is close to the Metro station, the top floor has views to the Eiffel Tower, our room was big and clean, and staff were nice and helpful. Even though our bedroom faced the main street, just in front of a police station (hotel de police), we had double windows and were able to sleep well. On the down side, service at the restaurant was very slow, there was little pressure in the sower, and there was a single power socket over a bed table, we had to find the other one hiding behind the furniture.

Comfortable and seemingly clean, but the air conditioning is controlled and can only be made hotter, so I woke up many times throughout the night sweating because there's only one type of bedsheets (which is more like a thin comfortor).

The location is close to many shops, restaurants, and only a 30 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower or a less than 10 minutes drive with Uber. I'm sure it's about the same with the Metro which costs less. I think it's line 16 that you have to take to it, but don't take my word on it. Ask the staff.

The shower is only a half wall so a lot of the water comes out onto the floor. Don't slip. Put a towel down. There's water damage on the door frame from that water hitting it so often. I'd say they need to get full sliding doors or curtains so they can save on water damage and possible black mold in the future. At least with curtains they can wash them.

Breakfast was good. Lots of variety. Staff was very friendly and spoke multiple languages.

Overall not bad.

A good hotel but could be better.....rooms are old but well kept...they have a minimalist breakfast spread but still highly recommended for it's quality...although there may be waiting time between 8-9 a.m due to rush.

Nice hotel in the 15th district, with good connections to public transport and a 30min walk to the Eiffel tower. Rooms are good and clean, and prices are fair. They have a nice Terrasse in the 7th floor overlooking the Eiffel tower, be sure to catch the view at night. Breakfast costs 18eur (which I find a but pricey, you can have a great breakfast across the street in Les Favorites) bar is ok, but the service is very slow. All in all a good place to stay in Paris away from the tourist areas and still close to the city.

Great location near the Metro, shops and restaurants. We had an especially warm welcome from the friendly English speaking staff. We had a superior room with a bath, a small terrace & a view of the to of the Eiffel tower. There was a fridge in the room but unfortunately it wasn't working. There was also a safe and a seperate WC. Breakfast was good. Cereals, Continental, Full English with a selection of juices and hot drinks. You could make toast and fry your own eggs in olive oil. There is a gym and sauna in the hotel but I didn't have time to use them. There is also a rooftop bar but it was closed in the winter. The beds were comfortable and the furniture modern and practical. A Bluetooth speaker is also provided. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a typical Novotel with small rooms. The location is great - it's a 20 min walk to the eiffel tower as well as to many eateries and shops closeby. The staff is friendly and can talk in english also. It has meeting rooms on the top floor with great views.

In the downtown area of Paris about 2 km from Eiffel tower. It is a nice and contemporary hotel. Rooms are spacious as compared to other hotels and neat and clean. Had a fitness centre, sauna, children's play area, a bar and restaurant. Breakfast is usually crowded and best to head there in time. Is open till 1030. There is also a rooftop restaurant and bar but that is open only in certain months not throughout the year. Metro is close by. All the major attractions are accessible by bus or local transport.

I stayed here for almost 2 weeks with my daughter, a friend and her son. The service was really top. The hotel facilities are kid's friendly. The rooftop at the end of the day is amazing. I would definitely recommend (which I have done in fact) and I am sure I would stay there again if I visit Paris anytime soon.

There is no way this is a 4-star hotel. It is hot as hell. There is no air conditioning this time of year. I have to have the window open all the time and even then it's warm. The lobby looks like somebody threw up. We are here on our 20th anniversary and my wife's birthday and we're sleeping in two separate twin beds. I will never stay in a Novotel Hotel again. When I asked about the air conditioning they offered to give me a fan. But when asked for a fan they told me they couldn't find any. I do love Paris I might come back but I will not stay here.

Good hotel. All ok. Roof top bar has great view. Breakfast was good apart from the mad system to fry your own eggs - although it did mean you knew your egg was freshly cooked, so maybe not so bad.
Room good with a Bluetooth speaker.

Spacious, clean hotel. We had a family in j reconnected room. Two children on gold out couches which they found quite uncomfortable. Normal beds are quite comfortable. Local to a lot of restaurants and cafes and walking distance to Eiffel Tower. A favourable stay...

AC did not work in the room and on asking they said that's how the AC is. The lobby and public areas were more cooler than the rooms. They gave a fan to manage. Pathetic. Beds were most uncomfortable that I have seen among similar hotels. It's an old property just superficially upgraded in some aspects.

Convenient location - only minutes from Metro and Gare Montparnasse. Spacious and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast, the waffles are very good and you can make your own egg. However, it's a little pricey if you have to pay separately.

Friendly and helpful staff at reception, restaurant, etc.. Housekeeping was good.
Good breakfast. Smallish rooms.. ok for a couple. But NOT effectively air-conditioned!! It was unpleasantly hot and stuffy in summer. In-house dining option very limited so plan to eat all meals other than bf outside.

Clean rooms. The staff was mostly friendly. Some had trouble understanding french. We didn't have the quality promised on the webside as there were no nespresso machines in the rooms, nor did we have bathrobes. But we could not find the promised sauna anyway.

The restaurant is a joke. We were 5, we waited 1h30 to be served. There was no excuse from the staff, no explanations or discount. They made us wait. Then we were finally served and except from one dish the rest wasn't warm and the scallops were too cooked. One of us had to get up to get the bread then get up to get the dessert menu. Well we won't go back.

Very pleasant stay, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Tea/coffee facilities in the room. My room was on the garden side and was very silent.

Only one minus, expensive breakfast for what it is. It's good but the choice is limited.

Even with an upgrade the hotel room was a bit tired looking. The interior can be a bit drab and inspiring but the colours are clean and the bed was comfortable. Moreover, the incredibly professional and friendly service and the excellent location makes up for this. Our room was clean and well maintained for the three days we were there.

Handy for the metro, comfy beds and a quiet safe neighbourhood. The roof top bar was closed at 6pm when we wanted to see the Eiffel tower lights
The front desk staff on Friday were excellent but a bit vague at the weekend

I was here in January of 2011. As of when I was there there rooms were very clean, not the biggest I've ever been in for a hotel, but I could compair them to something like a Holliday Inn, or Marriott in terms of being clean, and maybe a motel 6 or Red Roof in size.... By the way, I'm from Chicago USA. The room I had was a single queen/smoking. The reports others have made about the hot water and WiFi I didn't experience, but I did have some trouble with the heat... had to open the windows to cool. There staff was alway very friendly and eager to help me with directions and recomendations for any kinds of dinning I could want.... all of which were very accurate, so do take time to talk to them as they really helped make the trip prefect . Also, as someone who doesn't speak to much French, I was surprized to find that much of the desk staff could speak English, so combined with my French it was easy. Just don't be rude in France, always say hello and as for English in French. This hotel is close to everything, the Metro is about a block and a half to your left as you exit the front of the building. For the price, location and breakfast!! lol I will be staying here when I go back again. Hope this helps.

The room is nice, but far too hot. The so-called air cooling system is hopelessly insufficient and does not cool. If too many people take a shower within a certain period of time, they run out of hot water. That's a cold shower! Breakfast is great, though.
