Green Key Eco-Rating Program 4

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use

The absolute best place to stay before your cruise. They offer late check out for cruisers and they pick your luggage up at the room and take it to the cruise ship for you. Just make sure you call early to schedule luggage pick up. The hotel is connected to the convention center and food court. Also, an easy walk to sky train.

This hotel is awesome! We had the most wonderful stay for my birthday. The service is 11/10! The rooms are clean, cozy and posh! Great value too! Will definitely be staying here again! Thank you!

Stayed for work. Hotel has an amazing view and great location. My room was very dated and in need of an update. Walls were thin as well.. Could clearly hear talking in adjacent rooms. One small hot tub for the size of the hotel means it is quite over loaded in the evening. Check in process took quite some time with only one check in person working at the time.. And no offer to help with bags etc. Overall the hotel itself is beautiful but my room and stay could have been better.

The air is almost musty but in the best possible way. It smells of 'hotel' if that makes any sense to you. All this is good in my books. The lounge is one of the most beautiful, with a view of the water and the cruise ships in summer. The large glass windows offer up a relaxing atmosphere and it is especially enjoyable when there is a live guitar/musician playing easy listening music. Cocktails are good depending on your choice of cocktail. Bar snacks offered.

Went to the Italian opera buffet on Saturday night. Wonderful selection of food. Not a while lot but the quality was there. Dessert was very good as well. The opera singers were excellent! Very relaxing atmosphere and wait staff was filling out water regularly. Overall nice experience. Already booked to go again next week!

This is a very nice hotel. Our room had plenty of space. The bathroom is quite large, which is very nice for a hotel. It is located next to Canada Place that has a lot of activities for the whole family. Each side of the hotel has cruise ships dock - it is very interesting to watch the ships dock, load and unload.

The Pan Pacific Hotel was awesome. Amazing location right downtown Vancouver on the water. The view towards the city or the water is fantastic. Pool was excellent too. My wife and I were treated very well by the staff. Highly recommended.

Great hotel. Staff were really nice and accomodating. The beds were really comfortable. The couch bed wasn't very comfortable though. The pool was good yet small. It has many leaves it in though. Has an amazing view of Vancouver including the harbour and downtown. It also has great walking distances to everything would recommend.

I love staying here. The staff at the front desk are so kind and helpful, and the rooms are very comfortable and bigger than a lot of the rooms I usually stay in. There was a window for our shower facing the city and the sea and it was amazing. Highly recommend staying here!

Amazing location. Everything is nearby. No breakfast available. Room service is good. They have a heated pool , which is amazing. The location is the best part. They have a Starbucks below it. The rooms are specious.

The buffet chosen for prom was delicious. The waiters were super slow in changing the buffet plates which led us to stand for quite a while. The washroom was quite small though the decor was decent and clean. Overall, would choose to hold 30+ tables of 10 events here again with its decent selection of cuisine.

Went to the Five Sails restaurant for dinner with my parents when they came to town to visit. The meals were amazingly plated and delicious! Love that the seafood is Oceanwise. They were super aware and accommodating of allergies as well. The view was amazing too! Will definitely be recommending this place to others when they have guests in town or want a nice dinner out.

We went for Father's day brunch buffet and it was spectacular! What a great spread. Despite us both having lost our fathers years ago, we felt we celebrated their honour right. Thank you.

The appetizers provided at the event I went to were pretty good. Especially good were the smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich. But the room was WAY too warm for such a hot day - apparently the AC wasn't turned on or wasn't turned on high enough for so many people.

I used their roof top pool and hot tub as part of the Spa Utopia experience. The pool is shallow but heated, hot tub had jets and was adequately hot. The tiles felt dated but the view was excellent. It would have been better if there were no kids screaming their heads off.

(10 +) Can't wait to visit again. Outdoor pool overlooking the waterfront. Spa. Upscale restaurants. Near the train. Near everything. So many great places to eat within walking distance. We walked to Rogers Arena from the Pan Pacific as well as the ferry that takes you to Granville Island. Right next to Canada Place where you can catch the free shuttle that takes you to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park which I also highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views. Amazing location! Super convenient from off the cruise ships, harbour air, convention centres, close to gastown, Stanley park and all the major tourist spots. Very clean, high class & has all the amenities. Perfect stay for your transition before/after a cruise, business visit or just coming to explore Vancouver.

Fairmont Pan Pacific Hotel has beautiful luxurious rooms with great views of Vancouver. Amenities and service are top notch. We used valet and porter services, which were quick and courteous. The location is excellent, close to good dining and a great jogging course. Clean, comfortable rooms with enough power outlets in the right places. The air conditioning was a bit loud for my traveling partner but I barely noticed it. The beds have more pillows than my house does, with a great variety of firmnesses. I really didn't want to get out of bed! Excellent hotel

Location had a great view. Food was very good. Our server was very attentive and funny! The opera singing was excellent and a treat. Better than radio music! The pasta cook had a fair amount of options to add for a customized meal. Would highly recommend at least to try the Italian Opera buffet if you have never been before to one. Fun to celebrate a birthday. They sing you happy birthday in opera like fashion!

Had a meeting at the pan Pacific in the crystal ballroom. The room itself is beautiful, we have been there on a few occasions and I really like how it's set up. The hotel provided coffee (Starbucks coffee) and some sweets which were pretty average but appreciated anyway. The chairs were pretty comfortable, if a little old, but given that many places use plastic chairs it's nice to have proper "dining" type chairs used. The hotel is undergoing some renos right now on the escalators and they do not allow you to use the stairs so you're forced to wait for the elevator which isn't great, hence the 4 stars. Overall they do a great job and I've enjoyed the numerous times I've had work events at the pan.

Went for a special anniversary dinner for my aunt and uncle. The restaurant was very nice and had a separate area for our function with a set menu that took into account all allergies at the table. Was a very pleasant experience and I'd recommend it to other people looking to host private functions.

Beautiful downtown location with gorgeous views of the water and mountains. The staff are very friendly, the rooms very comfy and spacious. You're close to many fantastic restaurants, right by the waterfront station which is an easy skytrain ride from the airport and near all the night life. Perfect hotel for a Vancouver visit.

The hotel is probably situated in the best place in Dubai. It’s by the beach and The Walk. The Walk gives the area character and has a slight Mediterranean feel about it. The room was spacious and clean and overlooked the beach. Breakfast was fantastic so no lunch was needed. In the evening we had hors-d’œuvre in the lounge. The chef had these down to perfection. The pool is smaller than similar hotels but is not a problem. The gym was good and the staff helpful. In general the staff made us feel welcome and were always happy to help with trips or other travel matters. thanks all staff

Met up here for a quiet place to have a meeting. The lobby floor serves that perfectly with a quiet and spacious seating area that gets even better with its gorgeous view of the water and North Vancouver. The inside decor is very attractive and there was also a live musician performing in the restaurant near the meeting area. Will definitely be returning here in the future.

Loved my stay here! It is close to sky train, but there is really no need to venture far from the hotel because everything you could wish for us here. Shops, dining, entertainment . . . it is wonderful! Despite all the hustle and bustle on the street, it is extremely quiet in the rooms. The beds are comfortable, the water views breathtaking. I loved my stay here!

I always love staying here. It's got beautiful views if the city or the harbour, rooms are spacious and best are so soft I could sleep in them all day. Front desk service is always friendly and helpful, and if you get the chance you should book a room with access to the lounge. Great unlimited food, great service, and a nice place to work.

I have stayed at the Pan Pacific several times on business and for pleasure, and they have never failed to disappoint. The rooms are spacious, most views are great, and the amenities in the hotel are unmatched by most in the area. Several restaurants offer fine and casual dining. The hotel is attached to the convention center, and there are events and attractions galore. Be aware that the events can sometimes lead to a very busy atmosphere.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. They really know they're stuff. They were genuine and helpful. The receptionist, I think it was a guy but I'd really hate to assume they're gender, he was the true hero. It was my first time shooting up coke, but he guided me pretty well. Without his knowledge on shooting up highballs, I might've overdosed. Instead, I had an amazing experience. We smoked some crystal later on during they're brake. Would definitely go to this hotel again.

We celebrated a special occasion and stayed in a Pacific Club concierge level room for one night. The staff were fantastic. They had a small box of chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. Our room was clean, modern, and luxurious. It had a great view of the east part of the harbour. The Pacific Club lounge had an even more spectacular view, delicious baked goodies like scones with clotted cream and freshly baked cookies, as well as canapés in the evening and a solid breakfast buffet.

When my wife and I arrived at the hotel our room was not ready. They said they were giving us an upgrade. The room we were given was attractive and clean but it didn't have a tub. After a long flight and after a hard days work, a tub was needed. The shower was problematic for my wife because she had to hold the wand in order to not get her hair wet each morning. All we needed was a tub as advertised and a normal shower. The shower had a glass wall that lit up the sleeping area whenever the bathroom light was on...very bad design. There were other irritations with the property that we didn't like. The positives were that the hotel was modern, clean, well kept up. The staff was superb.

Pretty nice, overall. Drink specials, friendly staff, bag service, umbrellas and bikes. Nice lobby. Room had a sliding door that did not close completely, causing us to hear noise all night and have to crank up the heat. We closed the blinds to help. King size bed. One soap in the bathroom. We would stay here again if the price is good. Central location very close to the harbour.

This is an amazing hotel with a premium price tag to justify it. They have an excellent restaurant in the building. Staff provide concierge level service even at the room cleaning level. There is easy access to the spa and most of the downtown core from this area. There is a restaurant with excellent views in the building. There is also a rooftop pool that is fantastic. Valet parking is pricey but can be included if you are a points member.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Pan Pacific while visiting Vancouver in Aug/Sep 2017. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. The location is just superb...very centrally located within walking/biking distance to most activities that you'll want to do and free shuttles available for the ones that are a little further out. The views were amazing and we loved watching the cruise ships come in. The rooms were just a bit outdated, but still clean and perfectly nice. Our original room at check-in had a pretty horrible view...a quick call to the manager and he had us in a view overlooking the pool and harbor...very customer oriented staff! We had an excellent stay at this hotel and would happily stay here on future Vancouver visits.

Extremely well laid out room with beautiful views. Bathroom was very clean with really good water temperature and pressure. Plenty of storage space in the room which is always a good thing, especially for long stays like this one (10 nights). Staff was friendly and professional throughout. Didn't use any of the restaurants so can't comment on them. Suggested areas for improvement: - WiFi should be free and bandwidth should be significantly improved. I was able to only use one device at a time either laptop or phone but not both. - Noise levels could reduced further in guest rooms.

Vancouver Pan Pacific Hotel was one if the jewels of Expo 86. Walking in today you wouldn't guess this hotel is 31 years old. Aesthetically pleasing it is a beautiful design with open spaces, shopping concourse, beautiful views of the harbour, well appointed meeting rooms, and a top notch restaurant serving a variety of menu options. The atmosphere is excellent, the facilities well maintained, the staff attentive and the experience pleasant. I would recommend exploring the many facets if the waterfront gem, it will meet or exceed your expectations as a hotel, conference centre, or place to relax and eat.

Best hotel if stayed in hands down. The views were just breathtaking. Stayed in the upper portion of the hotel with Pacific club access. Wow ! I definitely recommend this hotel over all. I had a pleasure planning and producing a wedding for an intimate weddings with about 40 guests. Most of the guests flew in from Asia. And the couple only had 8 weeks to plan their wedding. The big challenge was to find their dream venue. Luckily, we called Pan Pacific Hotel and Melissa answered the phone right away. She even showed us the venue 1 hour after our initial phone conversation. She moved her meeting to accommodate us. What a customer service. Since my clients are looking for an outdoor place, their roof top had beautiful mountain, ocean view. And the price was very reasonable. With such location and an iconical landmark, we were extremely excited for working with Pan Pacific. What impressed us most while planning the wedding was the customer services: from the marketing and sale, to menu tasting, to banquet manager who assists us on the wedding day of. Even after the wedding, all the questions were answered promptly. They offered great advice and the guideline for the concerns we had. The food was very delicious. We constantly heard the guests comment: "Yum, the food was really good through out the reception" What else can you ask for when it comes to a perfect venue for the dream wedding? My clients and their family and friends were super satisfied with the venue. And as a wedding and event planner, I won't be hesitated to recommend Pan Pacific to anybody.

Very nice hotel and good location to stay near the Harbor. Being connected to the conference center made it a bit more chaotic, but some of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. Hotel staff was nice, but did have some people that weren't extremely friendly at the hotel check in desk. Overall, would recommend.

The pan Pacific hotel experience was a world class hotel stay. Not only was my check in from the get go a different experience, Josh from Front Desk services made me feel as if I was the only person in the hotel. Enjoyed the Easter Brunch at Cafe Pacifica. Many fresh and flavourful options. Lots of seafood choices as well as made to order omelettes, and ham at the carving station. Duck, lamb, salmon were among the hot food choices. Of course there was double smoked bacon, sausages and eggs Benny! It's a little pricey but it's a special occasion brunch. Definitely worth checking out!

First step. Asked receptionist where the nearest washroom was located. She gave me the correct answer promptly. I then proceeded to discover the aforementioned washroom. I used the furthest urinal from the door. It was an above average pee in time. Very enjoyable. I turned around, went to the sinks. Washed my hands. With soap. Did not sing Happy birthday to myself while applying the soap. I am too old for that. Went upstairs for dinner. Good meal.

Very nice and luxurious business/high-end hotel. Its location is marvelous and the views from the room are excellent, no matter which side of the building you are. Good service all around, from the lobby to the security staff who helped some friends to open their door when their cards fail. Definitely a place to consider if you want to be close to the center of the action in downtown Vancouver.

I love this hotel. The rooms are perfect, the service is excellent, and the views are pretty phenomenal. We reserved a corner room with a view of the bay. The two photos I put up with this review are literally the views from our two windows on the 18th floor. The hotel isn't CENTRAL but it really isn't too far from anywhere you may want to go.

Stayed in room 1936, six window room overlooking the ocean. Was a beautiful view. Had room service breakfast and was so awesome. Loved my stay, hotel was clean and quiet. Window leaked in a few spots but didn't affect my stay. TV was a little haywire also and night, couldn't get the Chanel's to work but was no loss. Loved it and would stay again.

Attentive staff, beautiful hotel, views are amazing. Great outdoor pool with views of Coal Harbour and North Shore mountains. The hotel is within walking distance to Gastown, Robson Street and other shopping areas.

I was going between four and five stars and went five because of the bellmen!! Genuine people. The room was clean, had great views, and was quite big. Location was perfect. Wifi wasn't free, con.

My family and I were there for the new year buffet. The food, service and setting is top notch as usual. It was pricy for sure, but it is a good way to celebrate the new year.

Had an excellent time at the New Year's Eve event. Service was excellent, staff were professional and courteous, and the hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well-kept.

Was here for the Christmas Wish Breakfast 2016 and it was great! Staff were friendly, professional and all really into the event. Would definitely consider it for personal or professional events!

The Pan Pacific only hires highly experienced employees, whatever you ask, the staff never says no. They are accommodating, friendly and quick. This is the best hotel for booking large private parties whether it's a wedding, meeting, reception or fundraiser. The staff really care about the people.

We were there for an event and everything was so beautiful. The food was delicious, the view was amazing, and the service was friendly. I can see why people say its the vest hotel in Canada

The service was impeccable. Everything was well organized and felt effortless. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. And the food was amazing! Only drawback was that a couple of the meeting rooms were extremely cold.

I'm absolutely pleased with this property. Getting there was easy, as it's right at waterfront in Canada place. Paid online which is convenient. To the staff: you were wonderful, very nice and accommodating. Right inside is a great restaurant too. This is definitely one of the best hotels in Vancouver.

Conveniently located beside the Convention Centre, Pan Pacific Vancouver was within close proximity to many points of interest along the waterfront. There are several late night food options and is steps away from a Skytrain station. Our room had a great view of the water and the harbour. There weren't many power outlets that were easy to access, and half the lamps didn't seem to work in our suite. The hotel staff were very accommodating to any of our requests and inquiries. Overall, the Pan Pacific Vancouver is a solid hotel if you're looking for something located close to amenities.

Cannot beat the location, directly on the waterfront. We had rooms 1114 and 1115 which face Coal Harbour, North Shore Mountains and Stanley Park. Simply amazing views. The pool and jacuzzi are outdoors with the same views. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Lovely hotel right on the harbour. We upgraded to a corner harbour view room and the view was amazing. We had a balcony but the door was locked-we did ask about this but was advised it could not be opened which was disappointing. We opted for room service one night and the portions were very good. We had a somewhat moving experience when we stayed last year when we had an earthquake which was a little scary. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great service, staff was attentive to detail. Rooms were new and up to date with the latest technology. The beds were very comfortable. One thing I must say is that the pillows were too soft as I am a side sleeper, which the pillows didn't offer too much support for my neck. Overall good experience.

The only reason I'm not giving this hotel 5 stars is because I don't think that any hotel room is worth what I payed. Since you never really stay in the hotel room the WHOLE time, i feel like its a waste. The parking was crazy expensive for vallet. Other than that, the place was amazing. Clean, comfy, amazing views, close to gastown pubs and restaurants. Right on the water. If you can afford it, go for it. At least stay here for one night if you visit vancouver. It is truely an experience.

Great view (if you are on the harbour side, the city side sucks.. basically looking right at the hotel next door), comfortable rooms, and centrally located. This is a fairly big hotel as its above a conference center and part of the cruise terminal. I did not like the fact that you had to go out to the parking lot to get to the gym. Internet was a bit slow as well. Service was good though and the rooms were large and comfortable.

Couldn't get enough of the stunning views of the bay and mountains beyond from our spacious room. Made good use of the heated outside pool on the terrace. Well located near to bars & restaurants and not too far from Stanley park. Not to mention the nearby subway station that brought us straight from the airport.
