Environment

Property's Green Action

We have operational procedures in place to reduce the consumption of energy, water and the generation of waste in our business every day.

Certifications

Green Key Eco-Rating Program 3

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management

The Green Key

Green Key is an eco-label awarded to around 3,200 hotels and other sites in more than 65 countries worldwide. Achieving the Green Key award requires compliance with a range of criteria, including:

• Comply with legislation and CSR policy within the areas of environment, health, safety, and labor
• Prepare an environmental/sustainability policy and action plan
• Train staff on environmental/sustainability issues
• Display information about Green Key and other environmental/sustainability initiatives
• Display information about local transportation and nearby parks/conservation areas
• Implement water-saving initiatives in guest rooms, e.g. flow restrictors in taps and showers, smart watering initiatives of the garden, etc.
• Install program for the reuse of towels and/or sheets in guest rooms
• Separate waste and implementation of waste saving initiatives (including food waste)
• Avoid the use of chemical cleaning products with dangerous compounds
• Safe storage of chemical products
• Stationary and paper are environmentally friendly produced
• Implement energy-saving initiatives in guest rooms, e.g. energy-efficient light bulbs, standard-defined heating/cooling temperature, etc.
• Purchase of food/beverage products that are organic, eco-labeled, fair-trade labeled, and/or locally produced
• Avoid chemical pesticides and fertilizers in green areas
• Staff areas fulfill the same requirements as guests and public areas
• Encourage cooperation with suppliers and local community on environmental/sustainability matters

An awesome stay at the Radisson Hotel Orlando - Lake Buena Vista! We were here for 3 nights to visit the Disney parks and this hotel is in a good location if you want to stay off the property. Really loved their customer service and housekeeping. Rooms were fairly spacious and always clean and neat. People at the front desk and the authorized Disney ticket sales desk are very friendly. I really liked the hotel's proximity to the various restaurants nearby; it's very convenient. The only thing that bothered me were the shuttle timings to Disney Parks. They were either too early (7am) or too late (9:10am) and that too with the drop-off at Hollywood Studios. So from there, it would take you at least another half an hour to get to any other park you want (Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom). With Magic Kingdom opening at 8am, we wanted to be there when the park opens to maximize our time there. Otherwise, overall, I would definitely stay here again because of the level of service and location.

The room was very small. Sofa bed was extra small. Shower curtain wouldn't stay closed. Good price but probably wont be back.

I was there five years ago and it was one of the best hotels I've ever been in hands down. Underrated by star rating and well worth the price.

Very good rooms, smells nice too. Very clean and confortable beds. They extended my stay for 2 hrs at no charge so we could sleep in after an awesome but tiring park day. I totally recommend it.

In June it's busy as expected. But the hotel was very comfortable and I really appreciated not having to pay a resort fee and parking. The room on the top 8th floor was spacious, the fridge and microwave were a appreciated convenience and the bathroom was clean. I didn't like the sleep number bed but that's just a personal preference. For the little time I was in the room I was comfortable and satisfied.

Love this hotel. Always stay here when visiting the Orlando area. Not ideal if you’re purpose is strictly for business in the downtown metro as this fits more in line with a resort seeking family adventure. Oh, there is a local supermarket nearby that has everything you can think of. The rooms are clean. I’ve tried their whirlpool suite a couple times and enjoyed my stay. The sleep number beds may need to be changed or serviced as the deflate uncontrollably which can lead to a bad nights rest.

When we stayed here on our vacation to SeaWorld it was amazing! The rooms were pretty big, comes with pretty much everything someone needs a refrigerator, sink, our room had a mini fridge too which was really convenient. The pools were really nice as well they even had a hot tub!

My stay at the Radisson in Buena Vista was disappointing, I thought it was going to be a lot nicer from the reviews I read online. I'll start with the good. Parking was free which was great, and they had shuttles to take us to and from Universal and Disney World at different times of the day which was also a huge bonus and partially why I gave three stars. The room was clean and the cleaning service was good. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. The air conditioning worked great. The pool and hot tub were okay. But the pool was cold and the hot tub was pretty small. Now the bad. The breakfast is not complimentary, it is $13.99 per person. An upgraded suite room is just a regular hotel room with a small side bedroom that has a king sized bed. Nothing special about it and definitely not worth the extra money. Plus only one light switch worked in the whole room. Our sleep number bed controllers were broken, we had to push extremely hard on them to get them to work, and even then half of the time they didn't work. Our door would get stuck and was hard to open, plus the card reader on our door broke and they had to send someone up to replace it which was inconvenient when we just got back that night and wanted to sleep. Though that probably does not happen a lot, it was just irksome for us. Overall it was just an okay stay. We'll probably try to find somewhere else next time we visit Orlando since there were multiple other places the shuttle picks up at that have free parking.

3/25/2018 - Looks newly renovated. Friendly staff. 30 minute walk to Downtown Disney. Free shuttle services with limited hours, but gets the job done in combination with shuttles from Downtown Disney. I enjoyed my Disney vacation while at this hotel.

This is a nice hotel for what it is. It's not a fancy resort with large pool, amenities, etc. If you're looking for that, go elsewhere. It's more of a place you'd get for a couple nights to go to the theme parks and have a nice place to come back to. It seems that it was recently renovated so everything we experienced (lobby, room, bar, pool) were in nice shape. Get this hotel at a discount for 2-3 nights and you'd most likely be happy.

Great location next to highway. The room was very quiet even though the exit to highway was around the corner. The location was down the street from Disney Springs and a 10-15 mins drive to the outlet, depending on the traffic in the highway. The bed was comfortable and med-firmness. The room seemed cleaned and spacious. They have a breakfast buffet which has a cost but I dont recall how much a person. The lobby is nice with complimentary cookies.

My son and I stayed at this hotel quite a number of years ago. I chose this hotel because of it’s proximity to Disney World, free parking and affordability. I wasn’t disappointed. The service was good. The pool area is small and cozy. The hotel is clean and I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s nice and close to restaurants and shopping as well as the park.

Hot tub was freezing cold, but besides that excellent service and great stay. I didn't get a chance to ask the front desk about the hot tub, so I can't really say anything bad. Overall very nice, would stay again.

The location is very close to Disney Springs, with rooms much more spacious and and polished than at a Disney value resort. The only downside is that the shuttle times are pretty limited, so it isn't super convenient to get to the parks without a car. The staff were all nice and handled everything well. We didn't try the restaurant at all, so no comment there.

Lovely comfortable Hotel near Parks and amenities. Very clean, tidy and helpful staff. Particular thank you to Angela on front desk who was very pleasant and helpful, sorted out late check out and extra amenities, nothing was too much trouble. An asset to the Hotel. We will definitely come back for another visit.

Rooms were clean (the sleep number beds were a neat touch), staff were friendly and helpful, it was a hop skip and a jump to Disney, there are nearby conveniences like a Waffle House and 24 hour pharmacy/grocery, and wad very reasonably priced. Will definitely keep them in mind if we come back.

I stayed here for about 4 nights. Definitely worth the money, but there were some things worth noting.

The remote used to adjust the firmness of the bed was great, but it was very loud. It was useful if you want to get comfortable at night.

The bathroom was nice, but water splashed everywhere, and there wasn’t a bath mat, so the water got all over the room. Thankfully, housekeeping was dedicated, and they cleaned the rooms and bathroom thoroughly.

The appliances, such as the coffee maker and TV, were alright. The coffeemaker came with coffee and tea bags, and there were many options, such as decaf, etc. The TV, unfortunately, was very old fashioned, and the sound and video quality were mediocre. The mini fridge and microwave were amazing.

There was no free breakfast, but the room service was reasonably fast. There was a Radisson iConcierge app, which was quite useful. It is used to request extra amenities, which were delivered quite fast.

Overall, I would definitely recommend a stay here, as the room overall was worth it.

Good points:. The room was clean and attractive, nice lobby and common areas, staff was friendly. Negatives: Not a fan of the Sleep Number beds, which seemed worn out with poorly functioning controls. Hard location to get out of and turned back towards Disney. And the bathroom door situation was, well, unique.

The stay was great! The staff were incredibly friendly, the bar is a nice place to sit and meet new people, the pool was clean, and the bedrooms were great! My room had two sleep number beds, I had a great area where I could work, and overall I was very impressed.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks from 17th September 2017. Perfectly located just off Interstate 4, ideal for easy access to the parks, restaurants, Kissimmee, Tampa. The room we stayed in was enormous with 2 queen size beds. Super clean apart from a few little stains on the carpet. Staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Radisson and will 100% stay there again next time we are in Florida. Special mention to Jess on reception who treated us like royalty for the whole of our stay and to the lovely Gloria who kept our room clean and tidy 💖💖

The location of the hotel is great -- close to parks and all the amenities of Orlando. The customer service at the hotel was AMAZING! The staff at the morning breakfast was very pleasant and attentive to all of our needs each and every morning. The front desk clerks and managers were very attentive to all of our needs and worked diligently to ensure that we were happy. However, I've never experienced so many problems with so many rooms in one hotel stay. We booked a king whirlpool suite and the cutest one they gave us smelled so horribly of mold that we could hardly breathe in the room. The carpet had noticeable mold around the hot tub. The room they temporarily moved us to for the night had a non-working sleep number bed and a broken TV remote. Our third whirlpool room had broken whirlpool jets in the tub. Each time we had a problem, the staff made it right. But the inconvenience of moving 3 times in 24 hours and the issues with the facility left MUCH to be desired with the hotel for our vacation. Facilities-disappointing, at best. Staff-superb. Mixed review for us.

I stayed in a 2 queen bed room which was ok but felt a bit small as compared to other hotel in the same category. The pool is outdoor which is a big minus for me as water gets dirty quickly. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The in house restaurant does not serve lunch. But there are a plenty of restaurants at walking distance from hotel.

I got the suite with the two rooms for 6 people ,and it was very big and clean . the rooms are dated . The beds made the experience great they have the Sleep Number bed which I love. I slept really good I went for Hurricane Irma I only booked for one night. I tried to book for the next day ,and they said there was no rooms available, but that was okay at least I spent the first night awesome. They do have a bar downstairs which I had a piña colada that was awesome !! they don't have no continental breakfast which is not good, but they do have a buffet downstairs which is too expensive ,but overall the experience was great.I slept good and my bathroom was clean.

Does not have a continental breakfast of any kind. For $200 + a night, that's ridiculous. The connected restaurant serves breakfast, but is very expensive. There is a Perkins and Waffle house nearby though. Rooms are decent, but the pool and workout center suck in comparison to Disney hotels for the same price or less. I hate to say it, because I don't like when one company monopolizes an industry, but f you are going to a theme park, just stay at one of there hotels if possible. It's a much better experience altogether.

This is a great location, practically across the street from one of the Disney World "gates". The amenities in the room went above and beyond what I've ever gotten fat this price point. The room was perfectly clean and the only downside is the fact you're right next to the interstate.

Was not a great experience. When checking in, was first given confusing information about WDW shuttle pick up. We had to ask another person to get clear information and help. Then after enjoying the fireworks show at Epcot, which ended at 9:15, we made our way to the front of the park. By the time we got to the front and located the shuttle pick up location it was 9:40. We called the hotel and they said the last shuttle picked up at 9:30, essentially stranding us there. We ended up taking a Disney shuttle to a nearby hotel and walking back the rest of the way. Then when we finally got back to our room, exhausted, the sleep number beds were not operating at all and were extremely firm. Too exhausted to try to figure it out, we just crashed. The next morning, we investigated and noticed that not only were both beds unplugged, but the bed side lamp was too.

Staying here currently. Very happy with service and guest accomodation. Happy to bring us towels or more coffee if we need it, and has a great little welcome packet that actually helped us out a lot because it had toothpaste in it, and we had forgotten toothpaste. We got the king whirlpool suite and the jacuzzi is gigantic and awesome. The 6 head shower is insane! TV has an hdmi port so I was able to bring my firestick with us for entertainment. Very easy off the highway. Has a restaurant and bar we've not tried out. About to go down to the pool right now!

Location was PERFECT for the Disney races! Close-by to so many restaurants and the Disney Parks, too. The rooms were really nice, especially for the great rate I paid!

But the room was still very comfortable and I would stay here again! Also, front desk gentleman was really nice! Impressive!

This hotel was a great place to stay for a convention at Disney World. I checked in late and the staff was very friendly. The room is spacious and I even had a "towel elephant" in the restroom; I normally only set those on cruise ships, so it was a very nice touch.

The staff here are amazing. My wife booked us a hotel for our 3 year wedding anniversary. I secretly called and talked to Karla at the front desk about different options, in the end I upgraded to the romance package and a suite. She knew it was going to be a surprise so she notated that and kept it quiet. On the day of, we arrive, get to the room, which was amazing if you want to surprise your SO I suggest the romance package, and they had left us a personalized greeting card and the front desk team signed it. It's little things like that that make you feel like they really care and want you to have a special day. We will definitely be coming back.

I would recommend this to anyone staying in Florida! The rooms were very clean, the staff were super friendly and they give you a bag of samples in your room to keep! We told the girl at the front desk it was our honeymoon and when we came back from dinner, our room had balloons and a card signed from all the staff! Stayed there for a really low rate for four days. Spacious rooms with fridge and MW. Nice staff, always friendly. Room cleaning was good, however it took them ages to sometimes start. Got back to room late afternoon and room wasn't done. Nice pool area. Only drawback: Very close to highway, pretty noisy, especially with a room towards the street. Would go again for that rate.
