Environment

Property's Green Action

We have operational procedures in place to reduce the consumption of energy, water and the generation of waste in our business every day.

Certifications

Green Key Eco-Rating Program 3

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management

The Green Key

Green Key is an eco-label awarded to around 3,200 hotels and other sites in more than 65 countries worldwide. Achieving the Green Key award requires compliance with a range of criteria, including:

• Comply with legislation and CSR policy within the areas of environment, health, safety, and labor
• Prepare an environmental/sustainability policy and action plan
• Train staff on environmental/sustainability issues
• Display information about Green Key and other environmental/sustainability initiatives
• Display information about local transportation and nearby parks/conservation areas
• Implement water-saving initiatives in guest rooms, e.g. flow restrictors in taps and showers, smart watering initiatives of the garden, etc.
• Install program for the reuse of towels and/or sheets in guest rooms
• Separate waste and implementation of waste saving initiatives (including food waste)
• Avoid the use of chemical cleaning products with dangerous compounds
• Safe storage of chemical products
• Stationary and paper are environmentally friendly produced
• Implement energy-saving initiatives in guest rooms, e.g. energy-efficient light bulbs, standard-defined heating/cooling temperature, etc.
• Purchase of food/beverage products that are organic, eco-labeled, fair-trade labeled, and/or locally produced
• Avoid chemical pesticides and fertilizers in green areas
• Staff areas fulfill the same requirements as guests and public areas
• Encourage cooperation with suppliers and local community on environmental/sustainability matters

Probably the best bang for your buck hotel I've ever stayed in. Excellent from check in to check out, the room was bigger than expected with a ton of space. The shuttle service to Pearson is a good bonus for anyone travelling. Will stay again

Always happy with the Radisson for an overnights before a flight. Clean and comfortable. The staff is accommodating and the week long free parking and shuttle service to and from the airport at all hours is fantastic.

Rooms very clean. Soundproofing is great, even with planes taking off every 5 minutes sleep was undisturbed. Price is decent. Service without flaws. Recommended

Room was very comfortable and clean. Maid service was quick and effective. The Fox Bistro food was tasty and the waitresses were very accommodating and friendly. The area around the hotel isn't very visually appealing but it is conveniently close to the airport and the commute into the city isn't very long.

Just wanted to thank the Manager that helped arrange for a taxi to the Radisson Toronto West location. We took the Radisson shuttle from Pearson airport to your site not knowing that this was not the location of our reservation. You were so kind and helpful to get us where we needed to go. It was late at night and we were grateful for your assistance. We will remember your kindness and stay with you next time!

Location was great with plenty of restaurant choices around the area. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and the conference rooms were nice. Gym room was okay, hotel items were stacked in the corner.

Radisson Suite Hotel Toronto Airport is a wonderful place for both short and long stays. The service is good and prompt, the food is good and the location is just 8 minutes away from the Metrolink for which the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service. We enjoyed our 10 day stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a home away from home.

Airline put us up here after a missed connection due to delays. Good service and in house restaurant served some good food. Shame we couldn't stay longer than a few hours. Airport shuttle service was great.

An absolutely stunning hotel. While not as fancy looking as something like the Delta it has the friendliest staff I have encountered. I have stayed at the Radisson two years in a now for Anime North and I intend to always have it as the hotel I go to so long as the AN location does not change.

Good food, excellent staff, clean beds, and excellent rooms for a good price. Though it is not considered a "5 Star" hotel it will certainly be one for me.

Room was good and the staff were great. They were always helping and fast even when the hotel was busy. I'd definitely recommend them!
Only reason it gets four stars is because the room A.C. wasn't great and the staff are kinda vague on parking/food and drink costs (they charge straight to your room but the prices aren't insane)

Rooms are very modern looking. Very clean and chic. The only problem is the walls a paper thin. In addition to having thin walls they have guests sign a 11pm quiet hours agreement which made it impossible to even socialize with your visitors in your own room with the paper thin walls.

Really great room, pleasantly surprised! Only feedback I would for the management is that their contract shuttle service is often late, smells like diesel and can tarnish the otherwise great experience here. More frequency that once every 30 min would be great too!

We stayed here the night before our trip to Costa Rica and then on our return home. Really nice hotel with a restaurant/bar, parking for the week and transportation to and from the airport. Great hotel, good prices. Will definitely stay there again.

First of all, the showers in this hotel are spectacular. However the BEST part of the stay is the shuttle driver Kan, who works the night shift. He is sweet and helpful, funny and charming. Ask him to tell you a story on the ride. He had us in stitches. I would book this hotel again just for the entertaining shuttle ride. It’s employees like Kan that make a place memorable.

The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. There is a coffeemaker microwave, a small desk and a sitting area in the room. The fitness centre is small but has a few ellipticals and a treadmill- it didn’t seem busy. There is a decent restaurant that is open late, u til 2 am and although it does not serve a full menu after 10, it is still possible to get sandwiches.

Staff is pleasant and professional. Lobby spacious and they allowed me to sit in restaurant for couple hours until check in time.. reason for 3 stars is .. I had email confirmation for my room and in system I was marked "no show" for previous night. That took almost 45 minutes to sort. Then they presented a bill for a different price than booking confirmation. That was another 25 minutes and even when sorted they said cc already charged and I need to check statement. In all this everyone was super nice and professional. Dispose the booking mixup I would be tempted to give 5 stars.

Where my vote was lost was insufficient parking. At one point circled lot 25 minutes looking for a spot.

Room. Blackout drapes in bedroom did not fully close and was bright overnight. In front room 1 curtain missing entirely.

Minor observation. Put more than 2 creamers out if you provide coffee and tea in room for more than one person.

Heater/ac was loud.

Not my 1st stay at this hotel. Always 5 star. Very suprised and hope this is a one off experience.

I will rebook here in the future

The rooms are spacious and very contemporary. The front desk staff were a little rude and snippy. However, the restaurant has good food and is super cheap for what you get. Also, the morning lady at restaurant was phenomenal, definitely made the experience better.

Put up here after an Air Canada delay. Despite the unpleasant circumstances, the experience with them was great. Super friendly shuttle drivers. Incredibly fast check-in. Enough space for our family of four. Helpful associates when we needed to go get some Christmas gifts. The breakfast was alright. Minimal choice... but no real choice wouldn't be much different than our coach seats gave us.

One of the best hotels for the price.. (approx $100) The rooms are very clean and comfy. The staff is friendly and the service is great too. The room service is good and the menu is decently priced as well. Lots of options to eat out in the area. Parking is paid but I think is a norm in the area. Overall a great experience.

Stayed as a layover between flights. Room was nice, good hot shower. Maybe I was too tired but could not close blinds. I had to get a early morning flight so it was dark enough. Ate at the hotel restaurant and food was good and so was the service.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Trendy atmosphere, decently priced restaurant. The room was gorgeous, no repairs needed. I thought the whole building was new. It smelled fresh, the staff was nice, the sheets and comforter were clean (and white -- not easy to hide stains). The parking fee of $14 is annoying but it seems standard among hotels in the area. If I come to Toronto again, I will stay here.

The hotel was nice and the service was great. We were staying with a large group and they were very accommodating. The only think I wasn't too please with was the charge for parking of $14. Not only that but some of the members in my group was not asked to pay this charge. Also some of the members of my group and I wanted to switch rooms ( they need two queen beds and I need just the one king bed). So instead of just switching them when they checked in they switched it when we checked in MUCH later than them and this was a huge inconveniences for us. Other than that the staff was very nice. And I enjoyed my time being at this hotel.

Big, spacious luxurious suites. But no pool or exercise room? Also, 14 dollars a night for parking seems a bit much. Why is it the really nice hotels nickel and dime You? Is it because they figure you can afford it?

The finishes in the hotel are very contemporary and the room felt like a condo instead of a regular hotel room (though this was on what they call an executive floor, so maybe other rooms have a smaller layout). The room was clean and I didn't have any complaints.

This hotel was has been significantly renovated from its original incarnation and they have done a great job.
One can tell the structure is "old" but the new finishes and furnishings hide it well.
Price was ok for the area (not great).
Staff were friendly.
The room was solid. A very roomy desk and spacious working area for office work. The bed was super comfortable. The lounge area was well appointment and comfortable.
The noise from outside, including airplanes was almost zero. I was right across from the elevators and still was not disturbed by noise.
The only downsides were the bath fixtures, to many small occurrences of yellowing/staining/bad caulking job.
All in All - I'd definitely choose this location for a business trip.

Recent renovations to the hotel seem a little incomplete. While the suites are quite nice, the showers lack small things like a shelf for the soap dish and shampoo. The king beds were luxurious with a duvet and many pillows. I tend to prefer having a larger pillow rather than many small ones, but not everyone is the same.

Glen Garcia

7

The hotel is nearing completion of major renovations. My room was very nice and spacious, modern and felt like a small apartment. The king size bed was very comfortable, furniture was nice.
Two out of the 3 elevators still need to be replaced but they will be completed in the near future. Some work is still being done outside but this doesn't impact guests at all.

OK since renovated

If you get a good rate from sites such as hot wire it is worth it since their renovations. I would stay away from the restaurant. No vegan choice. Poor choice of wines and food options. Still good as more hotels don't offer restaurant services. A good 7/10.

Here for a 2 night stay. Check in was fast and very well organized. The hotel is very clean, newly renovated and beautiful. Our king suite was very spacious and very modern. Room was so clean when we arrived and was really done our second day when we returned. Staff was very friendly. Location is great. Quite central to everything we needed. We will recommend this hotel and will return for sure. Great stay!

I looked at Google account and realized I should start adding some good reviews instead of just my rants.

Last night I had one of my worst hotel nights in memory at the Quality Suites. For about the same price (on my corporate website) I'm in the Radisson Suites tonight. There is no comparison. The room layout is similar but everything is new, the climate control works, the furniture is comfortable and well laid out, and I don't feel sad anymore.

The lobby tries a little to hard to be "hip" and the elevators need redone, but the room feels like a nice contemporary apartment and it's set up so I can sit at the desk while I watch TV. In fact, it's just like the den in my house.

You can book here with absolutely no fear you'll be in a crappy hotel

There is something about airport hotels and the zones surrounding them that is depressing. They're devoid of any soul or chatacter; they're artificial, serving the needs of transient guests who are here mostly for business purposes. The Radisson Toronto Airport Suite Hotel is no different. That said, it is in the middle of a renovation, and despite the mess and inconvenience, the staff is accommodating and helpful, and the renovated rooms are great. I can imagine the lobby will be very nice too. Are you going to stay here for pleasure? Probably not. But if you're attending business meetings or a conference at the Toronto Congress Centre, you'd be hard pressed to find a better located hotel that is in great condition and has friendly staff.

Stayed in the King suite, room was pleasant. Fairly standard affair and worth the price. Lots of air planes flying by frequently (obviously as it's an airport hotel) but everything was surprisingly quiet in the room. I would consider staying here again if I'm at the airport.

We stay at the Radisson Suites just about every year and always have a good stay. Rooms are nice and large and there's food options (Subway, Swiss Chalet, Harveys and a Tim Hortons) as well as a convenience store less than a minute walk from the front entrance.

Just down the street from the airport makes this property very convenient. Rooms & Service are nice.

If you are looking for the slowest and most useless Internet connection in the city you have found it! Be sure to bring your dial up modem with you for faster access. However, for $7-15 a day you can have better access, but you can't change it for 24 hours. So that is kinda useless. I used a iPhone to create a personal hotspot. WestJet gave us restaurant credits which we were told could not be used for room service. The room was nice but dated. Great place to see and hear every take off and landing from the airport (I didn't mind it). There was nothing but decaf coffee by the machine, no nightlights in the bathrooms (burnt out), TV was good, room was clean, it was OK... but never again with no Internet access. Staff was OK. Look elsewhere is my advice.
