I assume most people that stay here are on Paris for business. I did like the business area and it’s a short run to a beautiful park. There is a metro station about a 3-5 min walk from the hotel. There are many restaurants nearby (mostly chains).
The hotel itself is nice. Good sized rooms. I don’t understand why business hotels cheap out on the bathrooms and do a very basic finish out. The water pressure wasn’t great and the shower has the half glass wall (which in this case works because the low water pressure doesn’t splash out of the shower). Towels were kind of thin.
The bed was quite comfortable.
The staff at the desk was friendly and helpful.

Rooms and the breakfast are very good. But the staffs have to improve their hospitality. You will definitely enjoy your stay as it's near to major companies. Kitchen is very small and shouldn't be an issue in cooking. View from the balcony is very good.

Hotel located in the heart of La Defense a few minutes walk from the metro stations and nearby shopping centre. Hotel is well looked after and very comfortable. Room was great and spacious and very clean. Bathroom was spotless and had all the amenities required. Breakfast was nice with a large selection to choose from. WiFi was free and worked very well and fast. Would recommend staying here if in La Defense. Very good stay overall and will be a pleasure to return.

Just finished a 5 night stay at the Renaissance Paris La Defense and could not be more pleased with our stay. Excellent staff, great location, comfortable rooms, delicious food - what more could one ask!

I had read some reviews that the location of this hotel is not ideal for seeing Paris but I am so happy that we chose to stay here as it a 3 minute walk to the metro and RER A from which you can get virtually anywhere in Paris in a matter of minutes.

We also loved the shopping centre that is a 3 minute walk for both shopping and occasional eating. Although it may not be everyone's ideal location, we loved getting away from the chaos of central Paris each evening and felt there was just enough energy in La Defense to be interesting without being overwhelming.

The hotel was great and the staff even better. They went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of and I honestly cannot say enough good about our experience there. We specially loved the club lounge - the food was great and the staff exceptional!

For me, I could not have asked for a better experience than what we had at this hotel. I highly recommend it!

Great hotel! Spacious rooms and very friendly staff. I just found the hotel to be too far from centre. Despite the distance, the commute by subway was very easy.

10

Great location right at the end of a subway station. It's not in the heart of the city but a great choice to get away from all that noise but still just a quick ride away via metro. The rooms are nice and the breakfast was full of choices to get us started on a long sightseeing day. Staff was amazing and super friendly. Chloe was especially helpful when she actually called me back to tell me I had given her too much for the currency exchange. Wow! What honesty and integrity. Truly impressed with this place and would definitely return.

Nice average hotel, room clean and the family room has 2 full beds, so 4 persons are n problem. Stuff is super nice and helpful. Location is great if you do not want to stay in downtown with the Metro next to the hotel and a big shopping center and a food court as we'll.

Good location considering it is quite near to the 4 Temps mall and other nice facilities, including a metro / RATP station. Nice room but average breakfast and not so nice view. I booked it only because it had a very nice gym, but exactly during the week I was there it was being refitted. 😑

In a new area close to everything. Service, kindness and a feeling of HOME. Overall a modern and classic place to stay. Away from the bustle AND close enough to reach in 20 minutes.

GO and feel at home, with service beyond compare!

Great staff, good location, nice lounge. Comfy rooms and apparently powerful irons (I blew my circuit breaker.) The halls smelled a little weird, but so did the big mall just down the street, so that must just be the aroma of La Defense

This Renaissance is nicer in the inside than it is on the outside. I only visited the restaurant on the 3rd floor and on the way up there I noticed that time was taken in deciding on the door when of the property. As to the restaurant/bar the area is very spacious. My bartender was pretty attentive even though I only ordered a beer from him. My companions mentioned the French onion soup was great as well. Overall this is a good restaurant to have in a hotel and I'd visit again.

Wonderful staff most helpful in answering our questions. Only negative is that the room safe is too small for even our small (14 inch) laptop. Room layout is good.

Because of the very good experience with Renaissance Powai I have chosen Renaissance La Defense for a short trip. Location is great and metro 1 is close, but hotel is slightly disappointing...
Lounge is closed on weekends, breakfast choice was ok, but far away from superior. I need to request twice that my table gets cleaned and scrambled egg horrible artificial mix. Bread and sweets are good. Service could be better. Key readers sometimes have issues. Rooms are quiet, clean and have good ambience. So, overall good hotel, but room for improvement...

Room 904 heat would not cut off and they moved us 1004. Someone was smoking in the room next door. Staff move us again. All problems were addressed immediately in the The staff was incredible at the hotel. Extended our stay over the weekend and had a great time thanks so much. This hotel is a great location near a large mall and the grand arch plenty of things todo, good access to the metro and the RER.

Great hotel in La Defense and great service. Perfect for a business stay. Nice modern and clean rooms. Excellent staff good in English. The friendly person greeting everyone by name in the morning by name at the elite lounge made the stay personable. One of the better elite lounges will be great plus for Marriott Elite members. Close to a big mall is nice for shopping and dining.

The receptionist went above and beyond to give me the best service! Booked a free stay (level 5) and was pleasantly surprised. Got an upgrade to a suite and both room and hotel in general was beautiful. Located close to the metro.
Would definitely recommend!

Good location for business but not much else. I stay here regularly if visiting Total.

2018 Update. Upped my rating from 3 to 4. The hotel has renovated especially the club lounge. The food and beverages in the lounge and restaurants are better as well.

I reccomend it for the business traveler wanting to see Total, Engie or Technip.

Great place to be when doing business in Paris.
Like almost all the Marriott hotels, the staff was great and very accommodating.
The hotel is nice and very comfortable and when you get an upgraded suite, it's even better.
The lounge is also great with a very nice dinner selection and variety.
Quick walk to the subway and the RER

Very pleasant stuff. The bar and the kitchen are not worth as the price on the menu, so i recommend to drive down town. It's very calm and it has fast internet. The near shopping center is worth to visit and is open on sunday. Taxi to the main train stations will cost 25 €.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband. The staff and service were great. The location were also really good for us, do not expect it to be near tourist attraction though, because it's in the business district. The room were huge, clean, and very modern. Only complain would be the weird bathroom layout where they separate the toilet with the bathroom. The water pressure is a bit low, not as strong as we'd like it to be. Overall a great stay!

Nice hotel, but not quite as nice as the other Renaissance hotels I've stayed at. This is more like a standard Marriott. I awarded an extra star due to the wonderful staff and proximity to a major transit hub with shopping center.

This hotel has a very pleasant front office staff and the team offers very good service for a moderately priced, centrally located business hotel in La Defense. Please beware of the restaurant staff at the Brasserie. If you are an international traveler, please be aware of the service you may receive. While my experience may have been a one time ordeal, I did not appreciate in any way the way I was treated, I registered my complaint at the front desk in the hopes it wont happen to you (reader of this note) should you choose to stay at the Renaissance.

Nice ambience and staff is friendly. Few notable s, the driving direction to the hotel was most difficult even with navigation. Call and ask for directions. The hotel Club lounge was big but were mediocre in service. Still feel under construction. 18 min driving time to Eifel Tower and few minutes closer to Arc De Triumph. Public transportation is very close for convenience to attractions.

Very disappointed at the quality and service of this hotel compared to other Renaissance hotels. 15 Euros per day for Wi-Fi is ridiculous. Overpriced of food and drinks and breakfast food was cold.

Nice, hotel but could use an update. Our A.C. was leaking all over the bathroom and never got cold. And the emergency exit sign feel off the door. In the elite lounge they were out of bottled water, which i really wanted to grab on my way out to explore the city.

I went to The Renaissance Hôtel for the Paris college day. Even though a number of schools were present, I didn't have enough time to see all of them because of the bad organization. I don't know how the stay is.

Location: located in the La Defense district, which is far away from the Eurostar and around 40 minutes in a taxi. I recommend taking the metro (15 minutes). The hotel is connected to a new shopping mall which is useful. Room was large with air-conditioning, TV, sofa, spacious ensuite and large comfortable bed. I ordered room service and they were quick, polite and the food was great.

Stayed here for a couple of nights for a business meeting. The hotel is just a brief walking distance from main offices and also very close to the metro station in case you need to get around Paris. The staff are brilliant and they have a decent breakfast spread. I was told by my colleague to avoid staying at the first floor as he experienced a lot of noise due to passers by. Will definitely stay here again
