Kimpton RIVERPLACE HOTEL

1510 S Harbor Way, Portland, OR 97201, United States Access

Kimpton RIVERPLACE HOTEL

Nestled in a peaceful, riverfront area adjacent to a lovely park, youd never guess the four-diamond Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel is just a short stroll from the dynamic culture of downtown Portland. The Arts and Crafts inspired lobby features a stacked stone fireplace that you just have to drink hot cocoa beside. The hotel offers free use of bikes and in room yoga kits as well as seasonal outdoor sessions led by our very own on-site yogi. Were also close to a variety of fun outdoor activities and concierges will happily point you toward nearby hiking, kayaking and fishing. Sweet.

Nice clean room. I'm shocked the windows open fully on the 4th floor. Nice addition to the view. Only minor downside is no screens so a couple of bugs flew in.

We only stayed a few hours visiting my brother who was in town, but the place was nice. Valet, complimentary happy hour apps & wine, and key card entry to all areas for safety. They do allow dogs and there were a lot of dogs in the communal areas. In my brothers room they lacked blankets for the couches and the robe I put on had used Kleenex in the pocket. The view of the waterfront was gorgeous and the location is right next to downtown for easy access to eating and shopping.

spacious rooms. Mine and many rooms have (partial) view of the river.
breakfast is very slow. I arrived at the restaurant at 8am, and wasn't served until 9am. Food is good, and with great presentation. Happy hour wine and freshly baked cookie is a nice touch.

We have stayed here every New Years Eve for the past 8 years. First I want to say the employees are great. My issue is not with their service. It is the change in management, apparently. First, there is no ice machine on the second floor, so you have to go to the third floor, and if that is out to the fourth floor. Both were out of ice by 9:00 and were not replenished. Had to go to the front desk and get a 'baggy" of ice. The other issue is in room basic amenities. We each got one towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth. For a $400 room I expect not to have to call the front desk to please provide more linens. If this is the new norm, we will be altering our next years plans.

Such an adorable and intimate place! I took a venue tour here and they have such a beautiful outdoor ceremony space overlooking docked boats and the river. I love that everything is all in one hotel too. The Bridal Sweet, reception area, dining, and ceremony are all just a small walk across the establishment.

My husband and I had a lovely stay here. Beautiful decor, the room was cozy, spacious and came with a nice view. Great bathroom products. The service was great and we received some nice perks. We also got some thoughtful treats because we were celebrating a birthday. The location is awesome, it's by the river and you just step outside for a nice stroll by the cute shops and small cafes.

$39.00 to park your car with valet plus tip! Park it yourself for still high at $25 a day but only one block away in the same parking lot. Rooms is nice if not a little small for the price. Bed mattress was very comfortable and the A/C will go lower than you need. Chill down! Beautiful location with the river walk right there. I do wish Portland would work on their homeless people, they are everywhere. Just my two cents.

$39.00 to park your car with valet plus tip! Park it yourself for still high at $25 a day but only one block away in the same parking lot. Rooms is nice but small for the price. Bed mattress was very comfortable, but you only have the thick comforter which was too thick for A/C time of the year. At least the A/C will chill down really low. Probably want stay here next trip a little too pricy.

Great hotel! Loved having a fireplace in the room. Too bad it’s in Portland. The river front was a dumpster full of druggies and homeless. Was not comfortable being out past dark.

The bar area is nicely appointed and the outdoor space is great; it looks out over the park. They do not have a happy hour, and drinks and snacks were on the spendy side. The (expanded) beer list is a bit unconventional, but good. The crab cakes were mediocre (light on the crab for my tastes).

We attended a wedding reception at the Kimpton Riverplace. The staff was great, both professional and Portland-friendly. Food at an event is always a questionable, but the dinner at this reception was excellent. My pork chop was cooked perfectly, most and melt-y. Other guests reported the chicken they selected was great. The side dishes were hot and tasty, not the typical neglected servings. Overall, I'd say this was easily in the top list of event dinners I've had in the U.S. or abroad.

My husband and I hardly have time together as he is active Army and I'm a full time student with a full time job and also a reservist. We recently got married and decided to go to this hotel as our "mini" honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond and made our experience there unforgettable! I will forever be gracious that they made our time there so special. Thank you all for making our stay remarkable! It meant the world to us!

Fantastic service, nice Portland touches (bikes you can borrow for free, yoga mats in rooms), lovely riverside location. Staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms were great, free WiFi as a guest, and the in hotel food provided for our meetings (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) was well balanced and delicious. If you have time, you can walk or bike on the adjacent trail (or streets) and explore the city fairly easily. Can't speak for the cost, but for a combination work/pleasure trip it was fantastic.

The hotel is right off the Naito park. Also the employees where all nice and went out of the way to be helpful. The room was nice but there was a bed right next to the window. The window was really drafty that with the heat up I still felt cold air from the window to the bed. Also the window had mold on it too.

Got a good deal from priceline and this hotel is very good. Luxury looking decorations and nice staff. No on-site parking and valet is 35 bucks or something. Very dog friendly, I brought my puppy and we met a bunch of dogs with very nice owners. It's right beside the water so walking around the waterfront area is a nice bonus. Not very close to downtown but still walkable. Overall experience is A+ will come again.

Great location. Great staff and hip! We were upgrade to a condo on the property with a fireplace an kitchen. This is Portland so you need a nice room as the weather is not Miami Beach. The food in Portland is excellent with many farm to table restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel is good and the room service is excellent. Great views from most of the rooms.

When we arrived they were very nice and took our car for us. They "upgraded" us to a smaller room but were very quick to fix the issue. The room was very nice however the bed was not the most comfortable. There were lots of very overpriced treats in the room for your convenience. Overall it was a nice hotel and worth the price.

We stayed at this hotel during the last leg of our trip because we wanted to finish off in luxury. This place did not disappoint! From the amazing soft beds/sheets to the wine tasting that is done daily we were more than impressed. Courtyard views of the water and also having access to bikes were a bonus. All the staff are very knowledgeable and each one is a different kind of "expert" in the area. You really get your money's worth!

Only thing I wasn't impressed with was the restaurant but even that was still good just didn't blow me away.

Situated right on the south waterfront, the location is unbeatable with a great view of the Willamette River. It is a walkable distance to downtown Portland. The restaurant has a large patio area; excellent for dining outdoors when the weather is nice. The rooms were clean and as expected for a hotel of this quality.

Great hotel. Wonderfully different to the standard chains with warm and interested staff. They had fantastic local knowledge and were easy to engage.

I went to Three Degrees restaurant and it was amazing! I got the biscuit and gravy with chorizo sausage gravy and it was so good! The service was great and the people were very kind. I would definitely go back to the restaurant. The hotel itself seemed very nice even though I did not stay in a room. However I could tell from the lobby that the rooms were probably very high scale. Again I definitely had a great experience and would recommend to anyone!

Fun boutique hotel on the waterfront with easy walking distance to government buildings and downtown. The hotel offers bikes for guests' use and has a free "wine hour" from 5 - 6 pm daily. Rooms are comfortable and stylish. Only downside is the lack of a gym (although you can get a day pass to the 24 Hour Fitness nearby). The front desk says that they will be adding a gym to the hotel in 2017. Would stay here again.

So nice to be on the Willamette River. Great location, cozy boutique hotel, super staff. Love the robes and amenities. It feels more like a lodge than a hotel. They'll loan you one of their cool bicycles and offer complimentary wine tasting from 5-6 PM. Love Kimpton Hotels!

I went to the three degrees restaurant at the lobby, my fiance treated me for a birthday dinner there. Some of the best fries I've ever had in my life with them garlic sauce and ketchup. I ordered the flat iron steak, juicy and delicious. My fiance ordered the lobster, absolutely amazing. A plus service, 5 star food, they even treated me to very delicious dessert on the house and some vanilla popcorn. Great experience overall, a shoutout and thank you to the staff team that made it happen.

Over priced and short on amenities. I can not recommend the restaurant, the quality of the food and service is not great. There are better places to eat in town that are worth the cost of a cab. If you do stay here, walk down the river walk to the cafe with coffee cups in the window. Great breakfast menu and local crowd.

Excellent hotel. Stayed one night with 2 others, and they gave us a complementary upgrade to a apartment suite since we couldn't all fit in the room we had booked. The front desk staff was the most friendly I've ever experienced. I also ended up leaving my jacket in the room, and was able to call the hotel a day later and the shipped me the jacket, without charge, across the country. A most enjoyable stay!

Absolutely beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is fantastic. They do a wine tasting in the evenings with a suggested donation to their chosen charity. The only hiccup was that there is no parking, it is valet only, but that's not a huge deal. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very nice room, comfortable bed, and clean. Room service food fees were a bit overpriced though, and hotel restaurant was out of many items. Local restaurants down the waterfront are much better options for food.

Awful, slow service and staff. Arrived around 8pm on a Monday, so not too busy, and certainly not closing yet. No one at the hostess desk to help seat us, walked in several different doors to find the right spot to stand (in the middle of the restaurant). Went walk out but the doorman pointed us where to stand. Turns out it's open seating, which is fine... But but out a sign then.

Found a nice seat outside on the patio, it took another 5 minutes to get water and menus. Only to find out nothing on the menu interested us (to be fair, more planning on our part would have exposed that earlier). They have a main menu with expensive dishes, and another flip chart with smaller hot a cold dishes. We decided just to order a couple drinks and a appetizer and cut or losses. Ordered a small plate of duck and pork sausage which was alright, but one link cut into four pieces is not worth $12. Barely enough to share.

Would not go again.

This hotel is in a beautiful location right on the river in Portland. Very clean and comfortable environment as well. I attended a conference here and the food and staff were great. We came on this hotel by accident and what a great find!
This will be our regular stay whenever we return to Portland, Oregon.

It offers the best Columbia River views from the rooms anyone could want, elegant yet warm
lobby and room decor, on the trendy, modern side. Rooms spacious. Staff welcoming and helpful.
One surprising and nice perk is the free wine tasting offered on the river-facing deck every
afternoon. What a nice gesture. There is tea and coffee in am too.
We love this hotel.
