WWF

WWF aims to build a future where human needs are met in harmony with nature.

It is focused around 6 ambitious goals with people at the center:
WWF's work has evolved from saving species and landscapes to addressing the larger global threats and forces that impact them. Recognizing that the problems facing our planet are increasingly more complex and urgent. The new strategy puts people at the center and organizes our work around six key areas: forests, marine, freshwater, wildlife, food and climate. By linking these six areas in an integrated approach, WWF can direct all resources to protecting vulnerable places, species and communities worldwide.

People are at the center because together we can change the trajectory of the threats to nature, and help ensure nature's ability to provide - for the sake of every living thing, including ourselves. To accomplish goals, WWF works to educate and influence people into making sustainable choices and decisions, including those who work in business and make decisions around the use of natural resources, and those who work in government and set policy that impacts nature.

Food was delicious. A bit on the price side, but probably average for Calofornia. We shared avocado toast as an appetizer. I the prime rib dip with side salad. Sandwich was great, salad consisted of mixed greens with balsamic dressing. My husband had a Seafood dish. He enjoyed that. The 2 meals and appetizer we're about 90 with tip. The service was far superior to the food. I wish I could remember the name of our waitress. She was very sweet and somehow magically filled our waters without us even noticing. She has blond hair, early 20s, wore glasses and had a spunky, happy vibe. She made my last meal of the vacation great.

Always enjoy my stay at Shutters on the Beach. This trip was no different. Stopped in for a special occasion with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even though we live in Silver Lake, it's nice to get away to the ocean at shutters. We always rent a bungalow. Some state that it's in need of renovation. I'd have to say it's a welcome throwback to the late 90s when I first started going here. Dinner at one Pico is always Pleasant. Another fine weekend stay at Shutters on the Beach. Thanks to the management staff for making our weekend special. It will always be remembered.

When I have chance to have a coffee but specially a lunch at the Shutters I make it. The ambiance is cozy chic and so special. Isn’t huge but that’s why I admire so much. Is charming and the ocean view is magnificent. Their menu options are truly delicious and service always welcoming. Try to get a table at the balcony.

Excellent brunch location. Parking looks like a cluster but they have a system that works! Lemon Ricotta pancakes were divine! You can ask for a table by the window but there's views from almost every table. Friendly service. A bit pricey but if $16 mimosas don't bother you, you'll be delighted!!

Exquisite place. Direct on the beach like no other place in Santa Monica or Malibu Beach. Extremly friendly and professional staff. Happy looking faces, always smiling, professional. Well done Management, congratulation. This place stands out from all the luxury establishments in the area. No rival in sight, not even the Loews next door can compete . Staying in the SHUTTERS is the next best thing being in paradise. One steps out of the hotel directly onto the sand of the Santa Monica Beach into a paradise lined with palm trees. The pier is just the right distance away. One can see it but can't hear it. Yet a 5 minute walk to have all the entertainment on could wish. The SHUTTERS ON THE BEACH HOTEL is truly on the beach like no other place. Its interior is original, clean, vibrant. A restaurant (in and out door) and bar filled with light and leave no wish open. If you visit Santa Monica and you have not been to the SHUTTERS, you have not been in Santa Monica. The SHUTTERS is a must go. I highly recommend it.

What an absolutely amazing experience my wife and I had at Shutters on the Beach. The rooms were immaculate and beautiful while the ocean views from our room were incredible and was the icing on the cake for us. The Lobby was well tidied and the staff very friendly and outgoing. All-in-all, I would rate Shutters on the Beach a 4.8/5 and would recommend it to anyone looking to lodge in an amazing hotel while in the Santa Monica, Ca area.

Good food, interesting chi chi menu. Appetizers were really good, but my entree was just OK. Good cocktails. Wonderful view. Traffic and parking in the area majorly sucks

This would have been a 3 star review, but the manager made all the difference and saved the day. Here is the problem: the food great, the service is excellent, the price is from another planet. A piece of cake for $14 + tax is too much, especially considering that the plate had no garnish around it to fill the empty space. Maybe perhaps use smaller plates to make the size appear bigger or lower the price to more like $10 and allow people to enjoy a tasty slice of cake :)

Wonderful Hotel in Santa Monica. As a destination wedding photographer I've been lucky to shoot a lovely wedding reception there and it's an absolute gem on the beach with beautiful views. Can't wait to be back :)

Went there to grab a bite with a friend. I got salmon sandwich. He got a burger. The food was alright. I wish they had a better beer selection though. They only had a Guinness out of the darker ones. Will go again since it's conveniently located.

A wonderful hotel that is actually located ON the beach in Santa Monica. The views outside are impeccable. But also add the ambiance of the interior (casual and upscale) makes it a wonderful destination for cocktail and a meal

I was at a business lunch at the upstairs dining room. Very comfortable, nice view from a window table. My food was excellent, grilled sea bass and vegetables. Fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, moist and flaky with no hint of fishiness. The service, however, was pretty bad. We had several long (up to 10 minutes) stretches where out waiter simply disappeared. Coffee and dessert (a pretty good lava cake) took forever. Prices seemed competitive for similar restaurants in the area.

Super good food and drink, but the potato chips are the true highlight! Great service and an amazing view of the ocean. Popular, but not packed. 10/10 would come again. (Valet parking, definitely a plus.)

Great service and amazing location/ view But the rest is eh! Way overpriced. Food is mediocre. 3 of 5 dishes were sent back because they were cold. Fishy taxes were added to the bill. Also to the parking fee... dont think we will return

Amazing stay really close to the ocean. Non-smoking hotel and district, that doesn’t make much sense with a sewage straight to the ocean 100m away. Very polluted ocean and beach. But once your back to your hot-tub in the room, you forget how sad the situation is. Recommended but over-priced.

I attended an office holiday party in the larger downstairs room. The food was good, but the service was what left the best impression. The waiting staff was very attentive, to the point where the bartender went out of his way to get us utensiles. Valet was profesional and the front door was opened for every single guest coming and going

Exceptionally classy venue with a close up and uninterrupted view of the beach. Done with your five star meal, or need to step outside to take a call? Find yourself on the beach in about ten paces. This is an excellent location for a private event.

luxurious for the employees...as well as tbeconservative New England theme in decor. in house spa, food and accessibility to the beach and boardwalk make it a great short stay. short because it is rather expensive after you add everything up.

I had a perfect unhurried lunch here. There was a good selection of food, my Cobb salad was delicious. Enough craft beers to choose from and my companions enjoyed their wine. The pace of service was perfect, attentive and polite. All in all an excellent lunch.

Shutters hosted Kristi Bufton and Peter Manning's wedding November 4th, 2017. The event could not have been better! Location was picturesque with the sun setting behind the ceremony on the second level terrace. Bride & Groom looked spectacular, wedding party absolutely beautiful. Reception was intimate in the perfect room overlooking the boardwalk. Staff was exceptional from start to finish with exceptional food and service. Could not have been more perfectly executed. Kudos to the Staff and the Bride and Groom for making it the "Perfect Day".

This is a nice hotel. We were here for a wedding and everything was great. The prices are ridiculous though. We forgot a razor and asked for one at the front desk - the cost was ~$30 for a razor+shave cream. Luckily they had free ones down in the fitness/spa bathrooms.

A classic example of a ritzy beach front hotel. Everything to the decor to the uniforms of the staff give off this very down to earth, but still has an elegant vibe that is sometimes lost among the beach culture of Santa Monica. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, particular to guests that are regulars.

Had my birthday dinner here on July 3. Drove here from Studio City. What a fantastic experience. Started with oisters and heirloom tomato appetizer. I had the scallops fort my entree. Location unsurpassed. Happy hour on deck by Ocean 4 to 7. Very social. Staff is top notch. Shutters property is actually ON the beach with attractive living spaces. Free bike usage for adults and kids. This complex is good enough for the super rich and famous and those who like to be around them. Everyone is treated the same. Excellent choice for Santa Monica. Love this place.

Beautiful view of the beach and great location, but the food was okay, menu has been redone recently. I had the cauliflower which was very dry and the salmon which was okay. Nothing very special. Ambience was nice and service was good and friendly.

The hotel itself is beautiful and in a stunning location right on the beach. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I've only had breakfast at the Coast restaurant but it was very good. One issue I had, is that you can hear everything that goes on in the hallways outside of the room. Doors opening and closing, people talking. There's a storage room outside of our room and the staff seem to be constantly in and out of it. Another issue, was with the plug sockets. Every time i put a plug in or pulled one out there would be a blue sparks which didn't seem particularly safe. Other than that a really I've had a really pleasant stay.

Only visited the conference room. It was very nice with complementary coffee, juice, pasties and fruit. It was very nice and tasty. Event setting was typical fashion and the speakers were easily understood through the sound system. Parking was great, especially within walking distance. There were plenty of metered parking within minutes and it was economical $2 per hour. Best part is that it's right on the beach so the views are awesome. Look forward to saying possibly my next visit.

This place is pretty awesome I love the decor, deep dark red walls, eerie painting illuminated by lamps from below, drinks are standard price... Great cheap whiskey shot/beer combos or tequila/beer.. Great dive bar and seating in the back for a more intimate setting. I had a great time here!
