Certifications

Planet 21 Bronze

AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:

- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons

- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food

Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues

A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

This hotel has very basic aminnities ... Breakfast is complimentary but horrible .. no warm and hot items only pre cooked food and not much choice for vegeterians ... the bathrooms r too small to be of a 4 star hotel.. hospitality and service needs to be improved... no housekeeping on call for rooms ... and only one receptionist for all the rooms to handle all queries and even cash for cafe bar... its really not satisfactory and the service level has to be elevated...

Great staff, beds, service. Metro close by and easy to get around. The area just a bit uncomfortable for a single woman. It's really on the outskirts of Paris.

Positives:
- Staff: very friendly and speak good English.
- Wi-Fi: Excellent and very fast. I watched YouTube videos all the time and there was no issue at all, all throughout the hotel.
- Bathroom: Very clean and organised.

Negatives:
- Air-conditioning: Was broken 2 out of 3 nights I was there. I was sweating so much, I could not sleep properly throughout the night.
- Room: Beds were incredibly uncomfortable, and my back was aching in the morning.
- Snacks available at reception area: Limited. Not a good variety.
- Bathroom: Shampoo quality was bad for my hair.
- There are no individual irons to be given to room. There is a one ironing room with a sing iron & iron board. And the iron itself was very old and not good. I expected much more for the price I paid for this hotel.

The hotel is licated close an open market where they sell seconf handstuff, ranging frim clothings to anything u can think of but the market is open only on saturdays to mondays. At this period, the place can be rowdy but inside the hitel is quiet. They have friendly and not too friendly staff and breakfast only

This hotel ist a very hospitable place with a nice staff, clean and modern rooms and an offering of breakfast in the morning and comestibles and small cold snacks all day. If you have breakfast beware of the eggs, they are provided raw and have to be put into water manually. However, the water seems not to be very hot, so you have to wait for a very long time, even for a soft boiled egg. The immediate surroundings are of a poorer Parisian quarter, however, you have a very short distance to the Métro station. In the vicinity, there are also a few places for dinner.

I've stayed here many times. Staff are always welcoming, good breakfast coffees and plenty of restaurants in the evening to explore.

The rooms are very good, breakfast is amazing but the downers were location and staff. The location is pretty much outside of Paris and the staff just don't know anything about Paris attractions. All they can do for you is to call a cab, hand you a map and you're pretty much on your own. Either they're too lazy to put in the effort of giving us detailed information or just don't care, either ways it was a turn off. But the access to the city isn't bad. There's the Porte Montrueil station just five minutes walk away which takes you to most major spots on the number 9 train. For Eiffel tower one needs to get down at Trocadero and either soak in the views from the Trocadero vantage point or change to no. 6 train and get down two stops later at the base of Eiffel tower. To get to Champs Elysees, take the no. 9 to Franklin D. Roosevelt station and change from there.

Access is very good but location isn't. It's more or less a slum where this hotel is located and they don't bother to clean the area around the hotel. Curb appeal zero. Staff not very friendly. Rooms are super big and comfortable. My points are for rooms, breakfast and ease of access.

The room has bad smell, we found a spider in our first night and the bathroom has no ventilation. The location is not good, you have to walk 10 minutes to reach the closest subway station. The breakfast cost 15 euros! And they give you plastic cutlery and cardboard plates.
I have to admit the clerks are super kind.

The Hotel rooms are clean. There is a lot of space in the room. The workser behind the service desk can speak english (this is uncommon when taking a hotel in france.) The hotel has a private parking but it is expensive costing 15 euros a day. Im all positive about this hotel because there is everything you need within walking distance.

Rooms are nice. Large for Paris. Conveniently located a short 8 minute walk to the metro and a 20 to 25 minute train ride to most of the major sites in Paris.

The Novotel Suites Hotel Novotel Suites Paris has good rooms with good customer service, in a good area for public transportation to and from tourists site, the area has shops for shopping and also a market place, would have like to see USB charging station in the rooms or in the reception area for smartphones and tablets, since most smart devices use that kind of charging today, the breakfast was good, and had some entertainment for children if you had any with you.

Staying in one of the superior suites, room is fantastic though I'm pretty sure the air con is a sham or just non functional because it does pretty much nothing. Good price through and friendly staff, do be aware it's a good half hour from the centre though

Hotel is ok, the large clean rooms are nice, comfy bed. AC is not great and the gym is just two treadmills, a bicycle and a cross trainer. Staff are friendly. Does the job if you need to be in this area of Paris.

Shower had stains, I had to get my room changed.
Area is really bad, my car got broken into after parking in the car park opposite the hotel. Hardly any decent restaurants nearby apart from the Lebanese spot directly behind the hotel.
Hotel doesn't have a restaurant, just had a fridge with food you can buy.
Hotel claims to have a gym but it only has 2 treadmills. No weights, no machines.
However, room is big/spacious and staff are very helpful and friendly.

I loved this hotel. I was in France for the month of December and I stayed here for two weeks. The buffet style breakfast was delicious and the staff were very nice. I was an American traveling abroad but I speak fluent French so I never had any issues whatsoever. The staff could sort of speak English. I did not try, so maybe bring a dictionary if you are unsure. The location is something to be desired. It did seem a little sketchy at first, especially because on Saturday the entire Maghreb comes out to sell their wares. It is a nice sized flea market full of traditional Arab wares and flavors.

The room was amazing though. It had a king sized bed, a large couch, a nice view, a large bathtub/shower combo, two toilets, a sink, espresso machine and chocolates that refilled each morning. I enjoyed my stay here.

We stayed there for one night during a driving trip to Europe. The hotel was easy to find. We chose it because it was very close to Metro. Sunday market sits in front of Hotel so great for a bargain. Parking in the basement and you pay per day basis. Nice breakfast. Coffee machine was excellent. Very clean and good sized room with two children really enjoyed the stay.

Nice hotel, good service, English speaking as well as French. Location is less than a 10minute walk from Porte de Montreil metro station, but past a market which may make you uneasy, however security in the hotel is very good and puts you at ease. Breakfast is good too

The hotel is in a very good location very close to Carrefour. There are eateries and restaurants nearby. Two metros are also in the vicinity. That way the hotel location is good. We checked in for 11 days. The room is compact with one double bed and expandable sofa bed. Well equipped with kettle, coffee maker, microwave and a refrigerator. We took with us a rice cooker and we were able to cook sufficient . My two kids also enjoyed in bath tub. The hotel is good with regard to cleanliness, privacy and the most importantly the Wi-Fi speed was extremely good.

The room itself is clean and specious. The metro/subway station is within 500 meters, and the staffs are courteous. But, the location does not look good at all. The street is dirty and full of trash. The flea market, 4 days a week, makes it even worse.

Spent a night (18-19 Oct, 2013) and I liked the hotel. They are making some renovations at the moment, so expect a very naked lobby with nothing more then small reception desk. Because of that, the breakfast (good enough) was served in a heated garden tent. This, of course, is temporary and therefore should not be taken in account into the hotel overall review. The room was very spacious and includes a kettle, fridge and microwave. Some sweets, coffee and tea are available, for free, in the room. Bed and bedding are very confortable.
Room clean enough, but the carpet could use some good shampooing. The bathtub and shower are separated from the toilet. The first was spacious, the ladder felt like an airplane bathroom.

Now the bad part: the hotel surroundings are atrocious! It is a 5 mins walk to the nearest metro station (M9 - Porte de Montreuil) but it is no pleasant walk. It's dirty, smelly and I did not like it. Near the hotel, you will find a Carrefour and some fast food (McDonald's, Kebab, chinese, etc).

They is a free outdoor parking lot in front of the hotel and, if you prefer, the hotel has is own indoor parking for 14 euros/day. Note that the free public outdoor parking becomes a sweet market on Saturdays/Sundays. So expect a lot of people and litter!

Will I return? Because of the location: No.
