Favorite hotel I’ve stayed in? Better than the Ritz or JW Marriott. Awesome customer service. Above and beyond. Travelled with our dog and the Taconic made our stay very seamless and our entire stay quite enjoyable. Can’t wait to go back!

The staff is wonderful , the manager remembered our names and asked us many times how our stay was going. The rooms are very nice and well kept. The copper grouse downstairs is a great upscale restaurant. Seeing dogs at the hotel was a very comforting sight , if you dont like dogs this might not be the best place for you.

Great location. Very friendly front desk staff. Very clean and big rooms. WiFi was good. They have some board games that you can play in the lobby. Their restaurant was great too Cannot think of anything that could've been better. Will definitely go there the next time I am in the area.

What can I say - this place is amazing. The rooms are superbly decorated, very clean, and also the wine hour is a really nice touch (they offer you a free glass of wine between 5 & 6 pm). Also they are dog friendly! Definitely you have to stay here.

It's a newer hotel in Manchester. Beautiful lobby. Wine every evening (standard at Kimpton). Good size room. Good restaurant downstairs. Walkable to downtown shopping or 5 min drive. There are places to improve: the cleaning wasn't very thourough. They forgot to replenish anything. No vaccum was done during the stay ( my hair was still on bathroom floor). There is a pool and bicycle but i won't call this a resort so not sure why paying $20 per day.

Stunning hotel in a stunning location. Beautiful rooms with great amenities. Highly recommended. Manchester is also one of the most picturesque towns that you could ever hoped to visit.

Beautiful place. The room was clean with comfy beds and lots of pillows The restaurant is a bit pricy but definitely worth it. Room service was friendly and yummy. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they remember you. As another reviewer mentioned, there's no room to work in your room, but that was okay with me on this trip. Make sure to bring your own snacks as the mini bar is expensive.

I just returned from hosting an event at the Taconic Hotel, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The event staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent, and I received nothing but positive comments about the venue from our ~100 event participants. I also stayed as a guest at the hotel for 3 nights, and I was blown away by the level of service and attention to detail. Things like dimmers on all the room lights and a bluetooth speaker in the room went a long way to making my visit more comfortable and relaxing. The rooms are beautiful, every hotel staff person was friendly and professional... I could go on and on. This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had!

Just recently planned a quick birthday getaway to Manchester. We were very happy with our stay! The Taconic is Modern hotel in the heart of it all. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. We had dinner and drinks at the Copper Grouse and food was amazing! We will be planning a trip back very soon.

Very clean and well designed hotel. With a bar and fireplace in lobby, it's the perfect place to turn in after skiing. The door to our bathroom in the hotel room had a frosted glass window on it, making it not as private as I would have preferred a bathroom to be.

10

What a beautiful hotel! This is an exceptional hotel experience. Calling it dog friendly is a gross understatement as just about 20 dogs were staying while we were. They have a chalkboard right about the doggie water in the lobby with all the for legged friends names. Coffee bar in the morning provided the motivation I needed to get to Killington for a beautiful ski day. We will stay here again.

Very nice hotel. I stayed on business so cost was not an issue but it's definitely upscale. Room was very clean. Breakfast and all food and drinks at the Copper Grouse restaurant at the hotel is wonderful. Friendly staff.

Beautifully decorated hotel. Pet friendly without a fee! Forewarning there's a $20 resort fee but that's common in the region.

9

A great dog friendly hotel like other Kimpton properties, with added charm of its location. The bar, the big wraparound country porch and comfortable well appointed rooms are complemented by friendly attentive front desk and other service staff. Only the restaurant service is hit or miss, but the food is good at every meal.

7

Excellent hotel, well fitted and thought out. Real attention to detail. Nice and close to walking trails and town. Staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. Only thing is to be aware of functions - we had a wedding party going on our arrival, not ideal for a travel- weary family but to be fair, all wrapped up by 11pm. Would definitely visit again.

We had very personal and professional service from the entire staff at the Taconic, particularly from John Burnham, the GM, and Brian who runs large group events who ended up being an incredible resource to help us plan our outdoor activities (even though we weren’t part of a large group - he was just that nice!). They really went out of their way to make our experience special, and made sure we found the best spots to do the things we love (hiking, eating & drinking). Everyone was warm and friendly, and treated us as if we were the most important guests there (which we undoubtedly were not.) The Taconic is a good mix of the comforts of a larger hotel property but with more personal service so it feels a bit like a BnB. The rooms are nice and comfy and the grounds and common areas are lovely - indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a couple of cozy spots to relax and enjoy the fire, a porch with rocking chairs to watch the world go by, a nice pool, and a decent restaurant. The only less than perfect part of our experience was in the restaurant - we had a couple of great experiences with Kayla for breakfast and Liz (I hope I remember her name correctly!) and Dylan in the bar - they took really great care of us! We had 2 incidents (one morning and one evening) where the service was poor. The morning crew on a particular day seemed utterly overwhelmed and wasn’t able to pay attention to us, and one evening the bartender (NOT Liz or Dylan) was really inattentive and distracted. The food was decent and the wine list was nice. Overall, it’s a reasonable option for a hotel restaurant - not the best, but respectable. The location is pretty convenient to get to most things in VT and I’d stay there again. Thanks John, Brian & team for making it a great trip!

The most down to earth, genuinely nice people staff this quaint Inn. The grounds are very well kept and there are complimentary bicycles available to take a ride whenever you like The pool is very unique with a blue marble interior and salt water. Enjoy your stay.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. Very dog friendly. Rooms are attractive and staff is friendly and helpful. Manchester, Vermont is a lovely town, with many shops and restaurants. You can hike, shop, sightsee or just sit on the large front porch and relax.

Outstanding is not a word I use lightly but the Taconic is outstanding in its class in Manchester. Imagine "country lodge" meets "high end Hampton Inn." The modern physical plant is beautiful and immaculate: large sweeping porch with a fire pit on one end; stone courtyard entrance; wonderful lobby and leisure spaces to read and sip wine; and a handsome restaurant and bar. The rooms are modern and nicely decorated. Seemingly endless supply of hot water which is important for a family of four! Nice lap pool surrounded by green space for people to sit in or play field games. Customer service is excellent. Friendly, outgoing front of house staff always had a smile. The hotel is dog friendly and you will see lots of dogs but rarely will you hear them. Not sure how that is accomplished but, really, never once did the presence of dogs make us uncomfortable. Hotel is within walking distance to downtown area and a short drive to the Equinox Preserve which is wonderful for hiking. The highest compliment I can deliver is the words of our son: "I wish we didn't have to leave."

Great place....pet friendly and great property right in town. Room had latest technology and plenty of charging areas. Breakfast took forever.....eggs overcooked server missed lots of small details like coffee refills, sugar not on table, didn't check in for 20 minutes after meals presented.

It was pretty fun. I really like how they allow dogs but I do wish they had Smores because they do have a fire but no marshmallows.

Very nice room and very friendly and helpful staff. Food is a bit over priced for what they offer. Missing a work space in the room - no place to comfortably work on your laptop.

The Taconic is located quite centrally, just a 15-20 min walk into the center of town. The accommodations are clean, fresh, and charming. Highly recommend this hotel as an option when visiting Manchester for a nice long weekend!

Very well run hotel. Professional and friendly staff. Well appointed rooms (but not particularly spacious). The Copper Grouse (hotel restaurant) is pricey, but very good and into the details, which I appreciate. Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel. My only tip: I wouldn't suggest splurging for a fireplace room. IMHO, not worth it

we thought we had reserved a king suite, but found ourselves in a standard room. no frills. the toiletries average to fair. towels no extras. the room service was a joke. the bellboy was great! the halls smelled great because of the natural wood floors. all in all, a very average experience for a fairly expensive hotel.

Went to the bar before attending a wedding. The drinks were well made and very good,. The price is a little high but the service is great. My girlfriend and I also ordered some food at the bar and were not disappointed as the fries were amazing! Definitely recommend the food and drinks here!

I walked through while visiting Manchester and dined a couple of times at their restarting which is also excellent. Really nice modern design with quality materials and great service. I usually stay down the road at the Equinox but would like to stay here next visit.

Fantastic hotel. Staff is great - extremely friendly and helpful. Dog friendly hotel and we really felt welcomed with our pooch. Very convenient location and hotel is new so very clean and lovely. Only small complaint is no fans in the bathroom (a personal pet peeve) but again - very small complaint. Overall this is a great hotel and I will certainly both return and recommend it.
