The hotel is beautiful with cool decoration throughout. It has two pools, both heated. Happy hour with free wine everyday. And the best Old fashions at the bar with Patricia. The staff are really nice and friendly.

What more do I say when I tell you this is one of the best places to stay on South Beach. In recent past, it was voted as one of the top 10 boutique hotels on South Beach, Miami beach. The customer service is impeccable. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with great views. Everything is walking distance to the hustle and bustle of South Beach. The staff is always willing to go out of their way to exceed my expectations. Starting with the Valet all the way to housekeeping and maintenance.

The building is stunning and very well decorated with a contemporary feel. This is not your average hotel room; it is a boutique hotel, so keep in mind it has less amenities than a major and larger hotel.

Ocean Drive is just blocks away. This location is towards the end of South Beach; located between sixth and seventh on Washington Avenue.

Not only do I highly recommend this boutique hotel, but I would stay there again and again.

Notable staff: Jennifer, Robert, and Kevin.

Fantastic rooms! They offer free coffee in the morning at the Seawall. On the weekdays, they offer an all you can eat breakfast for $17 that you can charge to the room.
Definitely make your way to the pool deck. It's gorgeous and has some great photo spots.

We stayed for a long weekend in August 2018. The renovations are great, the roof top pool was fantastic. Great location, short walk to the beach and night life. The hotel will give you beach towels and even a small umbrella. All staff were nice and professional. Each room has a small balcony.

The hotel is in a great location, just a few blocks over from the beach. Absolutely no need to get an ocean view room, you will see it in a distance. Also, overall it was clean and comfortable. However, house keeping is not always on point. We had our room cleaned the first night and downhill from there. The incidental fee is $100 for every night you stay, parking is $39 a night and and another kicker was a can of Sprite on the rooftop pool was 6.65!!!!! That’s beyond ridiculous!!!

Great location. Friendly staff. Wonderful accommodations. The rooftop pool is fantastic. Feels like a spa. Bianca was at our service for the bonus stay hydrated day at the pool. Be sure to introduce yourself to her and tell her I say hello. Drinks were free and included gimlets, sangria, beer and wine.

We had a wonderful stay at the Angler hotel. We arrived late on a Friday night and was greeted by Mike at the front desk. He was kind and informative of things in the hotel and around the area. The rooms were lovely, clean, and don't get me started on the bathtub :) We truly enjoyed our stay and the wonderful help and hospitality Mike provided throughout our stay. Highly recommend this luxurious hotel

We were attending an event nearby & decided to try this hotel. We were in a chic room on the 2nd floor with a comfy king bed & large patio. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful as they chatted with us, gave local recommendations & greeted us by name every time they saw us. We fell in love with the rooftop pool which is open dawn till dusk. There were plenty of chairs both days we were there, towels are provided & complimentary beverages were available. You can eat at the hotel or there are plenty of tasty food options within walking distance. The beach is only 2 blocks, right up the street so we walked there in less than 5 minutes. Each room has a beach bag packed with essentials. Perfect place to stay in SoBe to be near many things without being too crowded or noisy! We already planned a return visit.

Just checked in. Room ready before check in time (plus plus! After a full day of flights) Very clean. Obviously brand new. Free wine and beer. Pool clean, roof top with great view, spa like feel. Very welcoming staff. 1 block from beach. Close enough to action but far enough if I dont wanna be bothered. King suite with patio.....street is facing construction so dont look for beautiful view. But overall, 6 hours in not one complaint. Surprisingly satisfied. Oh and one more thing....not crowded. (More plus plus) very intimate feel, but right in the middle of the action.

Booked this hotel during the last 4 days of a jam packed 3 week holiday and it did not disappoint.

The staff really set this hotel apart. During happy hour all got involved and engaged with the guests. Shoutout to Chris who went out of his way to help us feel right at home.

For me, the location was great... out of the chaos of Ocean but still within walking distance to all the action.

The decor, cleanliness and staff are what set this hotel apart.

The only reason for 4/5 is the that the hotel seems to be lacking in the “extras”... there was no in room entertainment (all we wanted to do was relax), no free water in the room and no room service for late night food. Being that this is still a new hotel I am sure this is all on its way.

Would definitely stay here again. 😊

I’m staying 5/19-5/22. This is my first time ever with Kimpton. This hotel is recently revamp and totally new with from guest desk to room. Everything is fully modern looking. So nice and lovely. We love it. The service is also phenomenal. Christian is so nice. He ordered tray of snack to our room and stuff for our kids. So thoughtful. Totally worth it. Can’t find 1 thing to complain!!!! They upgraded our room!!! This is a 5 stars hotel and service. Hotel is 2-3 block to the beach. They have umbrella and bike for you to “borrow”. So conwveniwnxe to everything. Use Uber is better to get around. Give them a try and you won’t regretted it. Will come back!!!!

Update on the review below. The management team went out of their way to be helpful in the end. We wish we could have enjoyed the hotel to its fullest but will go back for a second try!

So checked in to this brand new hotel on Friday just to find it only half completed and first guests!! Chris, Michael Maria, and breakfast staff were so so helpful. Can't fault them. hotel is gorgeous and beautifully styled so kudos to the interior design team. But no pool, no bar, no restaurant. Disaster as an experience as had to go to work and the pool to relax in is the old one needing much much updating or trek over to Surf Comber. It would have been nice for the management to offer some way of compensation for us being the guinea pigs! ! Unfortunately for us, less than a happy experience. Thank you to Michael, Chris for trying your best. Will be writing to Kimpton as I spend a lot at these hotels

The parking is very difficult and we drove around the hotel for 45 minutes at Spring break, oh my God! We liked our room, my girlfriend AKA baby girl, really like the second bathroom, loft, and hot tub.
Good location for exploring South Beach. Maria the manager and Chris her assistant were very friendly and helpful. If it wasn't for the parking problem it would be a great place.

We really enjoyed our four night stay here. Our room was not the refined quality we expect from Kimpton, but this is because they are in the middle of a major renovation. The furnishings are dated and worn, but the linens and toiletries are Kimpton high quality and our two level room was spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect. With one major exception (a staff member who I understand is no longer an employee), the service was warm and very friendly and helpful. This place will be amazing when the renovations are complete! And I expect it will be five star too.

Good: - Location is fantastic. South Beach front and center. You could walk everywhere, so don't bring a car. - Staff is great. Attentive, understanding and more than willing to help. - Many hot tubs spread throughout the hotel. That was very cool. Bad: - Beds are of the cheap variety. They are not really comfortable (though not uncomfortable either) and they won't hold well during any bedroom gymnastics. They squeak, grind, move everywhere (since they are not connected to the headboard or the wall) and feel like they will fall apart on the next trust. - Minibar prices. I mean I get the revenue stream but this is getting out of hand. $8 for a bottle of water? This is why vacation rental industry is killing you. - Staff is really not familiar with status at IHG and benefits that come with it. I am Spire Elite and they didn't have any idea what that means or what benefits come with it. I had to spend time explaining every one if them while staff did try to accommodate. The experience just wasn't as seamless as it usually is at other IHG properties. - There are free bikes to borrow but only 2 for the entire hotel (I'm not kidding) and they won't give you the locks to secure those bikes. Their reasoning is that people tend to leave bikes somewhere locked and forget them (which I get) but still, seems silly that I can not even enter a restaurant or a store because there is no way for me to secure the bike outside. Ugly: - Construction. While the website says that they are doing some renovations, they are not very clear what that means. So I will make it clearer. Construction crews come at 7AM and start drilling, banging, yelling. If you came to the South Beach to party (I mean why else?) know that you WILL be awoken at 7AM and those guys don't stop till 5 PM. Saturday included. To me this is unacceptable. I did not come to a vacation to be awake at 7 AM and not being able to spend quiet, peaceful time in my room. To add an insult to the injury, this construction was happening for the last 3 years (!?) so this is not something that management of the hotel did not know about. - Air Conditioning is super loud. I do not understand in today's day and age for a 4 star hotel not to invest into quieter units. Even when construction crews were not making noise, AC unit was as loud as a truck, and was in the bedroom. I barely had some sleep.

This hotel is one the best hotels to stay while visiting South Beach Miami. The place is currently under renovations, but that doesn’t take away how great and private this hotel is. I can’t wait until the renovations are complete. I will be returning to Miami, and this hotel will be my choice of stay! ☺️

This is in a good location in South Beach, with lots of close-by options for food and drinks. As with many Kimpton properties, there's a cocktail reception every evening in the lobby for the guests.

We had a two-level room, with the bedroom accessed by a spiral stair. Kind of an interesting layout, but OK.

Would be on the list for any future trips.

Kimpton was super accommodating of us. We booked a non refundable trip trough a website to stay at the surfercomber. Due to the hurricane they were not able to accommodate our reservation. After explaining the situation they moved us to the Angler which is a beautiful hotel. On top of that they arranged for us to be able to come back to the surfcomber to use the beach and other amenities of the hotel. They turned a bad situation into something great with great customer service.

My stay at the hotel was strickly for pleasure after winning a two night stay from a radio station. The hotel has an old style feel to it. The property next door to it is still under construction and can be noisy. The rooms are unique in the fact you have two floors with a spiral staircase that takes your to the bedroom. The furniture looks older (not sure if that is part of the look) the bed is somewhat comfortable but I'm picky. I did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. The location of the hotel makes it easy to walk to just about any restaurant or to the beach; however, the area appears to be a little questionable but I didn't run into any problems. Parking is an issue. The only two choices you have is to either have valet park your vehicle for $39.00/day or pay a meter which is not always guaranteed because most of the spaces are filled. Overall it was a good experience and I beleive that in another year it will be a nice place to stay.

Place is under conatruction. The construction is isolated but still affects the overall experience. Also they don't clearly tell you that their is a 100 per night incidental charge that is held. It is refunded at the end but still it was a shock to see an extra 300 on my pending charges.

Let me start by saying this hotel is awsome. This hotel is beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. The food what can I say other then you have to try it because everything is so good and the prices much better then the local restaurants. So if you are looking for a romantic getaway or even a family getaway this the hotel for you. I am sure looking to come back again.

I remember this hotel when it was abandoned and vacant for over a decade in the South Beach of the late 80's and 90's. Reimagined by architects Alan Schulman and Wallace Tutt and lovingly restored by the Lawrence brothers in the mid 2000's, it's now a Kimptons and about to open a new wing in 2017.

My husband and I have been coming to South Beach several times a year for the past 8 years and we have stayed in many hotels good and bad. We love the Angler's. We found a great price last minute and they even allow dogs with no pet fee or size limit. Good deal as we travel with a 75 lb boxer mix and usually get hit with $100 pet fee a d get shoved in a smoking cheap hole room somewhere. But we were so surprised upon arrival on just how nice the room was and how friendly everyone was. We will not stay anywhere else in South beach in the future!!!

The jacuzzi water was green when we got there. It was disappointing because that was the main reason for choosing the room. We asked them to change it and they gave us a difficult time for what we thought (and it turned out to be) the simply process of emptying and refilling the jacuzzi. Basically said if you don't like green water, leave and we are not giving your money back. It wasn't until late the next day however that they sent some over to drain and refill the jacuzzi. Other than that it was a great stay.

Update: Now the bathroom is leaking.

Saw this cool looking hotel and we couldn't have been more pleased. My beautiful girlfriend and I went down for the weekend and had a fantastic time. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was awesome very updated , everything worked well and super clean. It looks like it was just updated with a super nice garden atmosphere just a couple blocks from the beach and right in the shopping district. What a great place to stay for the weekend or week. We will definitely return. Close enough to everything while still being quiet to recover from a nice night out.

Hospitality was off the charts, great/amazing staff. Celebrated my 5 yr anniversary with the woman I love. Laura and Christian were great from the front desk. The rooms are clean so was the Jacuzzi. We got a duplex with king size bed. They make you feel welcomed. John the server was also great. Literally 3 block's from the beach and clubs and awesome restaurant's. Nice spot to eat is cafe del Mar for breakfast and lunch at the corner block of the hotel. The M150 bus from MIA drops you off 1 block away from the hotel

I was absolutely pleased with my stay at The Anglers. It is worth every penny!!! I arrived at the MIA airport at 10AM. Check in at The Anglers is at 4PM. I did not want to go around Miami with my luggage, so I called the hotel to see if they would hold my suitcase until it was time to check in. Their answer was that I was welcome to go to the hotel at any time, that my room was ready for whenever I decided to go.

When we arrived at the Anglers, the valet clerk hurried to open the taxi's door and greeted us by name!!! We arrived at the front desk and, once again, the attendant was extremely polite. Our luggage was sent to the room while we finished checking in. They gave us a voucher for a free appetizer to be used at any time in the hotel restaurant. We then arrived at the room and it was beautiful. It had a large king size bed, a sitting area with a couch, 2 chairs, a center table and an end table. There was also a large screen flat TV mounted on the wall, a desk with a chair, 2 music pods: one that fits the iPhone5 connection and one for older iPhones or iPods. A wet bar with a mini fridge, several bottles of alcoholic beverages and mixed soft drinks, juices and water bottles; a small microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. Other things offered were bathrobes, umbrella, yoga mat, beach bag, iron and ironing board, safe, blow drier, and all the standard toiletries. They really thought of everything!!!

The entire room and bathroom were spotless, clean, very tastefully decorated. The room was cleaned in the afternoon, and then in the evening someone came in and closed the drapes, turned on the lights, turned on soft music on one of the music pods, and left fresh ice on the wet bar. Sheets, pillow cases and even the blanket cover were changed EVERY SINGLE DAY! as opposed to just doing the bed with the existing linens.

Every single employee that we encountered was absolutely polite and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. For example, maintenance man was cleaning the hallway when we were getting ready to leave and he said, "you should take your umbrella because I think it’s going to rain”. Other person would not have even thought about saying anything. Front desk helped us in getting a city tour by explaining the different options and suggesting which one would fit our desires more. Hey were helpful recommending places to go, beaches to go to, restaurants, bars, clubs, etc.

The food at the hotel was another pleasant surprise. We only had brunch and breakfast, but not only the service was, once again, AMAZING, the food was delicious!!! Modifications were happily acknowledged and the food came out exactly as requested, with great presentation and even better flavor. The day we were checking out we went out to eat breakfast before leaving. By the time we finished breakfast, the taxi was waiting outside, our luggage already loaded and we never even noticed!!! The only thing we had requested was a taxi to pick us up at 1045AM. Everything else was their own planning and it was great!

I could go on and on about this hotel and their staff, and all would be great!!! I recommend them highly!! They will make your stay in South Beach twice as enjoyable than it would otherwise be if you stay somewhere else!!!!

Amazing breakfast, great portions and good service. Another gem hidden in Miami, one place where the included gratuity isn't an issue (They love adding it in Miami mostly because of horrible food or service go figure). Give it a try, no regrets promise.

This place was just amazing. I'm a local and I went for brunch one Sunday. The service was amazing, especially in a city that includes an automatic gratuity that makes servers complacent. Our server was fantastic, accidentally charged us for an item we didn't order, but took the charge off and still let my friend drink the extra drink. Because of that, we tipped more than the 18% included. The food was absolutely delicious; I had the eggs benedict with short rib, my friends had the burger and another had the chorizo hash. All of it was amazing. After brunch, the staff let us hang out by the pool and the sangria we ordered was some of the best I've ever had. I will be back. I want them to take my money.
