The hotel has good location. We arrived late evening and we got warm welcome. The room was spacious and well equipped. We liked the fact that Westin offers late check out on Sunday (3 PM). It was a great stay. Can only recommend this hotel and for sure will consider it when I go next time to NY.

Location was good if you like to be close to Times Square but not right in the middle of it. Do not eat breakfast at the hotel, the quality was not good. Found out on the last day that there is a movie theatre right under the hotel, which would have been fun if we had more time.

This was my 1st trip to New York and was excited. From my experience, the day shift front desk people were extremely nice and helpful. The graveyard people were the complete opposite. Decent size room for New York I hear. My biggest complaint was there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. That was frustrating.

Nice place. The man on the reception was helpful. I went there for an event. I asked where to go and stuff. One of the employee not only stopped what he was for helping me, but also went to all the way other side to check the info's I asked about. That's something exceptional.

Really loved this hotel. Friendly staff and great accommodations for the pricing. I really loved the shower and I thought the room was well sized for New York and had nice sitting areas and a comfortable bed and pillows. They were simple, but clean and well maintained. We were right on the corner overlooking the intersection and it was a little noisy in the late evening but we weren't concerned with it or bothered. The subway is close, times square is close, plenty of food nearby, and tons of plays and activities abound within a block or two. We would happily stay here again.

Just back from a 5 day stay at the Westin Times Square. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the beds, extremely comfortable. There is a great selection of food at breakfast ( cereal, cooked food, oatmeal, bagels, toast, smoked salmon, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, pancakes, waffles and fresh fruit and nuts. With coffee and orange juice.
The hotel is ideally situated for all popular tourist attractions and transport links. I will return here for sure.

Stayed for 1 night. Loved it!. Hotel is modern and huge. Love the decor and the customer service was great. I was upgraded to a premier king room and it was beautiful. It was on the 43rd floor with an incredible view. It had a beautiful bathroom and shower. It's in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay again without a doubt.

Five star location in Times Square. Entertaining yourself on foot is easy, and subway access is outside the door when you want to venture further afield. Friendly staff and attractive surroundings. Housekeeping is so-so. Don't expect refrigerator or free WiFi in room. A microwave was deposited on the floor when we checked in. We asked the concierge to have someone lift it onto its shelf. It was removed from the room entirely never to return when we got back from dinner. Room amenities such as towels, courtesy coffee and cups, etc., were doled out with a tight hand but quickly provided on request. All in all, a pleasant stay in a hotel with a nice workout room.

Nice place to stay. Rooms are good (size, clean, amenities). Surroundings quite loud. Some Harley Davidson bar around the corner. Recommending for non-family travel (likely too noisy for little.kids)

My first visit to the Westin New York at Times Square for an Amazon Web Services event was great. The location was very easy to get to using mass transit, and once I exited the subway system the Westin was easy to locate. Once I entered the building the staff greeted me and assisted me in locating the hall for the AWS event. Other than feeling too cold due to the AC, the service was top notch when they prepared there light breakfast and lunch. Again the staff was friendly and pleasant.

Very nice staff and accommodating. While checking in,I requested a extra bed so before we got to our room on 23rd floor it was already in our room!

The restaurant on site, the Foundry Bar and Kitchen is two different a areas. The bar is on the lobby area and the Kitchen is located below the bar.

Our overall experience was great but they charge a destination fee aka resort fee of $25.00 / day! Which I wasn't aware of when I booked our room.

The Westin New York at Times Square is near a transportation hub for tourism making it very easy to get anywhere within Manhattan. The rooms provide all the needs of comfort and the staff ensures you have everything you need and excels at customer satisfaction. Check-in was very smooth when arriving from Ontario after a long journey by car. Parking is offered at a discounted rate located right across from the hotel. Check-out was also made easy by the polite and helpful staff. Everything in between was more than enjoyable, with room service and restaurant staff being prompt and friendly and the food offered delicious. Thank-you very much Westin from the four of us, we will be very likely to recommend you to our friends and family!

This place was so nice, loud but that's NYC right? I was with my two grandkids and these people treated them with kindness and respect. A rare thing frankly. It's a perfect location, it's a treat and not inexpensive and from the outside you'd wonder about it. Don't hesitate. I have stayed in the area many times and this was the very best spot the room spotless and the people all very well trained and service oriented.

This is a great hotel in NYC. We've been staying here for the last 4 years in May/April for business. The location is excellent. Near times square, Duane read, food, shows, etc. Beautiful views and service too. Back of hotel hooks you up to Starbucks and movie theater. Can't beat this hotel.

Nice hotel. Rooms aren't anything special for the price. Have to pay for wifi. Gym is really nice with amenities. Location is perfect if interested in times square but area is very touristy and gets crowded. I prefer other areas that aren't times square.

For us it was quite disappointing. Absolutely nothing special about this Westin in Times Square. Rooms are relatively small for the price and try and get a room near the top of the building to at least get a very good view for the money. No complimentary breakfast or lunch like other hotels offer. The concierge answers and suggestions left a lot to be desired. I felt the staff were the leftovers from other hotels.

Wonderful, comfortable beds, plush linens. Friendly, accommodating front desk staff. HOWEVER. The frig in room can't be touched. Well, unless you want to be charged for the items you're looking at. We had to request another frig so medication could be chilled! They actually brought up ANOTHER frig and tried to charge an extra $20. UNBELIEVABLE. It was deducted from our tab - already 30% inflated due to unannounced and vague taxes. Ugh. Beware. No microwave either. Beautiful hotel, central at Times Square, location terrific. Junior's Restaurant nearby and Lillie's Victorian Pub were great finds and great food.

This hotel has been great. If your goal is to see Manhattan and catch some Broadway shows there’s no better place. Perfect location in the heart of the city near Times Square. Security and staff are friendly , helpful, and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for business purposes. It is in an excellent location in Times Square. That may be great if you're there for tourism, or to be centrally located, but maybe not as great if you're looking to get away from the crowds (it was perfect for me).

As for the hotel staff, they were very courteous and professional. They upgraded me to a junior suite, which was great. Also, they had cheese/bread and a bottle of sparkling water in the room for my arrival, which is always a very good touch (I'm Platinum 50-75 annually). It is great to see the platinum recognition, since many hotels rarely upgrade me.

As for the bed, it was comfortable. On par with other Westins - I would assume that most use the same bed.

The only area of improvement is that the elevator broke while I was staying there. This created a massive hassle to go up/down - we had to end up using the service elevator, which took forever since they placed me on a high floor. This is probably an anomaly, but still painful nonetheless.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again when the prices are low (they skyrocket when tourism goes up). Well done.

Multi entrance hotel which sits above a private restaurant. You can enter the restaurant from the 1st floor within the hotel. From street level you enter the hotel where there is a concierge desk and a locked room for left luggage. Ride the escalator to the reception area which is spacious and welcoming.
The room was adequate for our family of 4 with in room safe and a large bathroom. Modern fittings and a comfy bed were a delight. The rooms don't have the wow factor but the location on Times Square is what your paying for. The fact that we was so central in New York made travelling to various locations a breeze. Most of which were in walking distance. Other locations easily accessible via the subway which was just a block or 2 away. Overall the stay was without problems. The hotel is ideal for a short stay.

It was a very very nice hotel. I loved staying there. The views from the window were amazing and the room was just beautiful. It was the perfect place to walk home to through times square after our daily adventures. However, I encourage everyone not to get room service. The food was not very good. But other than that, I really enjoyed my stay and would go again.

I stayed here for New Years and man what a disappointment. For how pricey this hotel is, I expected a lot better. I know this is New York and this city is not exactly known for it's customer service or cleanliness but, really? Our "double bed" room had some of the smallest beds I've ever seen in a hotel, the room itself was incredibly small, the sheets on one of the beds were stained and DIRTY and the other bed had a huge hole in the middle. Also, I guess the front desk kept messing up and assigning our room to people so we would have people trying to come in to our room all throughout the night. Don't even get me started on all the noise from the hallway... all in all, definitely would not recommend for the price and doubt I'll stay here again.

The hotel staff were friendly, patient and understanding to my family and I, being tourists. The room was immaculate and well put together. The view was outstanding. My only recommendation is don’t open the mini bar! Not even to look inside lol. We had a surprise charge at checkout because we were curious, but we were able to get it all squared away. All in all, I’d stay again.

Very accommodating from the doorman, check in employees and restaurant staff. Larger room with 2 double beds. Very comfortable. Beautiful view of Times Square. Nice furnishings, clean, smaller restroom but clean and nicely furnished. Very quiet. An extremely pleasant experience. Restaurant is expensive but the view is very peaceful. Paid $58 for a $10 bottle of wine. For breakfast, it is better to step outside of the hotel to the left and take about 10 steps to an awesome coffee with great coffee and pastries and any fresh breakfast item. This Westin location is truly amazing. It is in the hub of Times Square and no cab is necessary once you arrive. Beautiful area and everything is at your fingertips. There is a nice Mexican restaurant and a movie theater connected to the hotel so you simply have to walk through a glass door, all indoors, to gain access. We would definitely return to this hotel. Very friendly establishment. 😊

Great location if you want to see Broadway shows. But what hotel doesn't have restaurant availability all day? And the bathroom was looks: 10 dance:3. The shower faucets we're not very functional in the real world, but they were beautiful. There was a hair dryer with a short cord and a bolted down "art" poster blocking the mirror where you would otherwise see how your hair was drying. And the heavenly bed has now been modified with a felt mattress pad that is not tied down, so every time you roll over the pad bunches up underneath you, for a princess and the pea experience instead of heaven. The food, via room service and once in The Foundry restaurant, was excellent.

Westin hotel are always pretty great, and this one lives up to that expectation. Usually I'd only drop a 4 star but what really stood out to me was the staff at this location. Everyone was friendly, and went above and beyond to do little things that made a big difference. For example, Casey, the fellow at the front desk who checked me in, remembered my name when I came back to ask for extra toothpaste. The bellhops who stored my luggage helped me find it after I lost my ticket and joked with me while I waited for a cab. I would not only stay here again but recommend it to others.

I was very happy with our short, but great, stay here. There were no problems whatsoever. The employees are very nice and will always accommodate your needs. The room was spotless when we arrived. I'll start by mentioning that this is a review for the hotel as someone who attended an event, not for staying at the hotel as an overnight guest. Overall, I think it's a very nice hotel, though you have a lot of floors you might need to navigate because the footprint is relatively narrow. As a result, you end up going up and down a lot. The service is very good and the food isn't bad. The location is very good as long as you don't being near Times Square. I do wish they would add have drying machines in the bathroom instead of trying in paper towels as that would be more environmentally friendly. But I won't complain about the cleanliness of the facilities, which were very well maintained.

Nice mid-sized hotel a block west of Times Square. Easy subway access and close to restaurants. The rooms are small, but well furnished and clean. Great showers. The room needs more electrical outlets, with none by the bed to plug in phone adapters. The radio has a iPhone charging port, but useless with a Otter case. They have a restaurant. The sliders are very tasty, but at hotel prices. No club lounge, which is typical for Westin.

Great location! The Westin is located just a bit off from the center of Times Square, so it's great for having some quiet at night and easy for getting to the heart of it all. The rooms were clean and spacious with comfy beds and a rose rain style shower heads. Helped to keep the stay quite relaxing! Additonally, the staff were all helpful with my requests, and their friendly service topped it all off.

We stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. I looked at a lot of hotel choices before picking the Westin. I made the right choice. We had a large room by comparison to everything else I was seeing on-line. The hotel was clean, modern, and had a friendly staff. The location was great. I used the fitness room one day and it was very nice as well with good treadmills, towels, water, etc. I have stayed in some dumpy hotels in NYC but the Westin was great.

The location is great. There is a subway station that's really close so I took the q70 and then the E train to get to it from the airport. Took around an hour. I really like the spacious rooms and how clean everything is. The beds are super soft. However the signs on the elevators 'tricked' me into attending the breakfast which apparently wasn't included in the room (this was a business trip I hadn't purchased the tickets). On top of that I only got 24 hours of internet. After that it was priced. The rooms had all the necessary amenities (soap, shampoo, iron) but no toothpaste or brush (though I think you can order those). Overall I really enjoyed my stay but it's a bit pricey for my taste.

Great choice for our short stay in NYC. Wife and I were in the city to attend a taping of the Colbert show and a concert, so the Times Square location was ideal. The hotel interior was nice and the rooms were well appointed. Housekeeping was efficient and did a great job keeping the room clean. Also really liked the security check during the evening. Also we got a deal on the price, so that was also a plus. Would definitely stay at the Westin again when we come back to the city.

I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is modern and is in a fantastic location. We walked to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park and many other places. The bed was comfortable, we had a cool view and the staff was nice. A continental breakfast was also included with our stay, which I appreciated. This is in the heart if NYC so know you may hear cars honking until the wee hours but that is part of the experience. Housekeeping could have been a little better-- but I would stay here again.

Excellent location for Broadway. Comfy beds (though a little small for two in the double rooms), good size room. The bathroom has one of those barn doors that will never truly close and a motion sensor light that turns off while you're in the shower, but otherwise a nice experience.

The Westin Time Square is consistent with the rest of the Westin brand hotels for which I am never disappointed. Great location if you want to be in Time Square. Convenient to local attractions. Traffic can be tough but the rooms and ambiance can wash most of the stress away.

We had two beds in the room. The lobby and the hotel itself looked very well kept. The lobby area had plenty of chairs and tables to just sit and relax. They even had a bookshelf filled with books. Our room was clean and tidy the shower was really nice and we had a nice view of part of the city. The convenience because of location was fantastic. They even had security check guests room cards to make sure only guests were coming inside. The cons in my opinion were that to use their WiFi you had to pay, if you wanted breakfast you had to pay, and if you decided to have anything already provided from the fridge you would be charged. I feel that a hotel that glamorous should at least give free WiFi and a hot breakfast to their guests. Overall we had a nice stay and because of the location and cleanliness I would go again.

The hotel was very modern and clean. The conference area we were in was great. My only complaint was we were told we were having a Continental breakfast, but the only food items there were fruits, yogurt, and granola bars. I don't know if this was on the hotel or the organizer of the event, but the drinks were good. They served Starbucks coffee, sparkling water, soda, and Tazo tea.

Big, clean rooms. Hotel is gorgeous. But the bathroom door is a sliding door that doesn't click shut and can't be locked. Not soundproof and pretty off-putting. You also have to take an elevator or escalator to the second floor and then find the elevators to your proper floor since they're broken up (2-15 for example). Not a huge issue but mildly inconvenient.

The staff is very courteous and kind. The lobby always smells amazing, and they have a really classy little gift shop. The restaurant on the second level has great food and drinks, the decor is great, and it connects to a movie theater, Mexican restaurant, and a Starbucks. And if you're looking to experience Times Square, this is a great location for sightseeing or catching a show.

I've stayed at this Westin at least three times now and about to visit soon again. First of all, their location is the best. Nothing beats where they are as they are within walking distance to shops, restaurants, attractions, and subway! Service at this hotel is always pleasant and their rooms are very clean and spacious. Looking forward to visiting again!

The Westin at Times square is a very welcoming establishment. The staff are helpful and efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable and they make an effort to help groups feel at home.

The Westin provides a lot of benefits that people can enjoy in New York. Especially from a tourist like me. It wasn't too expensive and it shows in the personal rooms but overall, I really liked it. Four stars.

Slow housekeeping. Hotel convenience store has bizarre hours. Great location. Room OK. Bathroom door does not have a lock.

We only stayed for the night and it was very enjoyable. It is right by Broadway and Times Square which is very convenient. The rooms are beautiful as well, i wish i could've stayed more than one night!

We only stayed for one night but the service was great! Everyone was very nice. I was a little disappointed that there was no continental breakfast.

This is the second time we have visited and cant fault the place, check in was smooth, we were offered an upgrade at a cost but declined it. The room - with a rubbish view of a boarded up hotel was plenty big enough, the beds were super comfy, tv excellent, love the docking station and coffee machine, iron and board great touch. Didn't eat here as too expensive for our budget. Great central location, well done Westin we would not hesitate to return or recommend your hotel.

Bathrooms have dark tile which doesn't give a sense of cleanliness. The hotel has a strange structure and our room had a mildew like smell to it. Convenient location for Broadway shows.

his was our first time at this hotel. The security desk was very helpful with pointing me in the right direction and helped accommodate us with our baby stroller. The front desk clerks were courteous during our check in and was helpful with our questions. The room was clean and the bed is very soft and comfortable. The location is less than a minute from Time Square and from several restaurants. My family has enjoyed our stay here and won't hesitate to come back to this same hotel the next time we come back to New York

Helpful staff. Nice rooms with a great view. Awesome location, but a bit noisy (street noise) if that bothers you.

Nice upgrade to a corner room (SPG 100). Much better than the four points I usually stay at nearby. Will be back.

It's good so far. Google asks for a review when I haven't finished my trip yet so not much to say. It looks pretty.

Great location, getting on any train is very convenient (the only thing good about times square). The hotel and restaurant's decor is pleasantly beige - it feels spa-like throughout. The waterfall showers are lovely and get up to a nice temperature.

Great location. Just three blocks from Hell's Kitchen restaurant row, one block from Time's Square, one block or less to theatres, four blocks to the water, 15 blocks or so to Central Park and a short cab ride to World Trade/ Financial District. Subway and bus stations nearby and plenty of taxis in the area. There is a 24hr Duane Reade pharmacy across the street that also sells beer and wine if you want to avoid the pricey mini bar or hotel restaurant.

The staff was polite. The room was comfortable and well kept, yet not very large. The hotel view over Time Square is great. I recommend it

Nice hotel. Comfortable accommodations, bed, TV, and space. Paying for wifi is ridiculous in this day and age. Also the motion sensor turn off lights in the bathroom mean your lights will turn off during showers. Oh, and don't swap a soda in the fridge with your own to cool it down. The fridge has sensors, and they'll try to charge you even if you don't drink it. (At least they refunded me!)

Great location and nice rooms. I got upgraded to the preferred guest floor where it's super quiet. The room was quite big -- had 2 double beds that looked like queens. Bathrooms were big as well and they have a great waterfall style shower. In the morning they have a wonderful restaurant called The Foundry where they have a great breakfast buffet that was delicious. Definitely worth staying for its nice rooms, amenities, and fantastic location.

Kenneth at guest services was amazing. Really bonded with my kids and "gave them the city" by putting us in a room with a great view. Everyone from bellman to valet was as friendly and helpful as possible. Roger was incredibly helpful with transportation and where to eat, not to mention going out of his way to get me some items from my car after the car service had already taken it away. Westin Times Square has earned my Manhattan stays forever.

The Westin is in a great location to the extremely busy times square within walking distance to hundreds of shops, restaraunts, bars, theatres, cafes and pretty much anything you'd need.
The hotel itself is huge, with more than 45 floors. It's rooms have pretty amazing views, with ours looking over the city and onto times square. Majority of the staff are helpful however do not go into the bar.

We paid $35 for three (ridiculously small) cokes and half a pint or beer and the staff were extremely rude in telling us after we had waited at the bar for our drinks that we were not to do that despite several waiters standing right next to us chatting whilst we ordered them and not offering us any table sevice.
After leaving, my sister realised she had left her ipod down in the bar area and to her shock when she went and asked whether they had found it, she was asked whether she would pay the waiter who might have found it some money before he even admitted to having it. We would not recommend going to the bar at all unless you want rude staff and extremely overpriced drinks. But the hotel is worth visiting.

The location within times Square is perfect however the area is expensive. The hotel is lovely and a high rise so you see above almost all other buildings in the area. The rooms are a good size as standard and all have great views. They are a tiny bit worn and have some small marks. The service is great and the people are polite. The price is a little high but you pay for the height and the location. All in all I would recommend it to anyone. I'm not sure what time is good for a visit but we went in the summer and the weather is super hot. I like new York but it's very busy here.

Great location near Central Park, clean, secure, walking distance to Broadway shows, Times Square, shopping, variety of restaurants. Easy access to transportation: subway, cabs, uber, on/off tour buses, and river cruise tours. Helpful front desk and concierge. Decent all day and all night menus. One of the best in this price range.

I love Westin, but not so much about this place. First of all, this high end hotel is right next to a strip club... The lobby is nice, but the front deck could use some more smile. If you are going to have breakfast in the restaurant on the first floor, go early, as the line and wait time can get very long and frustrating. The restaurant manager is the most incompetent person I have ever seen in my life. She doesn't know how to run a place like this and have pissed off many customers waiting in the line. I would not come back to this place.

Check-In was flawless. Trendy and upbeat atmosphere. Plus, when the maids cleaned the room they noticea bottle of wine my wife and I purchased for our stay and left a couple wine tumblers. So, all in all, the staff is thoughtful.

Wanted to compliment Roger, doorman, who greeted us three woman (me, my daughter and 13 year old granddaughter) the minute our driver pulled up. Took our bags up to the front desk where Matthew continued with great service. When he found out we were there celebrating my birthday, he sent a bottle of wine to our room! Liked the idea that every evening you needed to show your room key before you could go up to the rooms. Made us three woman feel safe.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Westin at Times Square. We have stayed at other Westin hotels before, but this was our first visit here. Additionally, it was my wife's first visit to NYC! So I wanted everything to be just right for her.

The hotel is centrally located in Manhattan, with close proximity to Times Square as well as the theatre district. Also, very easy access to the subway. The rooms are spacious and clean.

I wanted to compliment one of the front desk associates, Leslie, for helping make our stay perfect. After arriving to our room, we quickly noticed that we had a handicapped accessible room. While there wasn't anything physically wrong with the room, it does lack a bathtub, which is important to my wife. Leslie was able to accommodate us with a different room, despite overhearing another associate report they were low on standard king-size bedrooms. I truly believe that it is the small touches like this that can make an average stay great. We will definitely return on our next visit!
