Cheap. Comfy bed and close to everything. Asked receptionist where I could get an amazing coffee and he suggested starbucks which astounded me because starbucks is horrible compared to the million hole in the wall cafes here in the city. But apart from that friendly and clean

Very clean rooms and nice staff. Loved the 24 hr reception as I had a late afternoon flight into town so late check in wasnt a problem. No easy access to plug ins by the bed though.

I stayed here for 14 days (mandatory quarantine because of Covid-19) and it was a truly great stay. Room was very clean and modern, good size with a decent amount of space (both for luggage and exercise). It was very quiet (I was on the 16th floor) and the bed was VERY comfortable - king sized, I believe.

All in all, had a great stay and very thankful for the lovely, helpful staff!

A fantastic hotel, staff were amazing. Really helpful when luggage got lost after a flight, kept tabs on it for us. Buffet breakfast was good quality food and varied day to day to keep it interesting. Would stay again, really good area access to trains, darling harbour and opera house etc.

My family stayed here during a visit to Sydney for the weekend. This is a great hotel in a very convenient, central location. The rooms are well presented, clean and very comfortable and reasonably priced. Close to everything, including public transport. Great value for money.

4

Great location, nice big rooms and nice hotel. But I would never stay here again or recommend because the shower was so inconsistent, without touching anything it would go from Boiling hot to freezing cold. So bad that I burnt my shoulders. So due to this I can't possibly recommend unless they fix this issue.

Hotel was easy to get to from the airport, just a short walk from Wynyard station. Rooms are good with a few nice quirky features (automatic bathroom door). All staff were friendly, helpful and attentive

Good modern hotel with excellent location adjacent Wynyard Station. Rooms are modern and well kept but most look into an adjacent office building so kept the blinds closed the whole time. Motion sensor hallway lighting in the common areas is a bit slow to react resulting in a dark and unwelcoming environment at night. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Great traveller hotel right in the heart of Sydney's cbd. Neville on the desk was efficient and pleasant and very knowledgeable. The staff the young girl on the breakfast desk worked so hard, and I think she could do with some help for the morning rush

Nicely located just north of Wynyard railway station. Great help from front reception staff and comfortable room. Breakfast included in booking was very adequate and extra fry ups of eggs to suit was no problem. Very clean rooms. Pubs & restaurants close by and 10 minute walk to Circular Quay. 24/7 bulk billing GP across the road and chemist close by. Particular mention to Marley, Hanna & Juliana who gave a smile at all times and always presented in a professional manner to our requests. Look forward to next visit...

Nice hotel in a decent location, almost next to a train station which makes it very easy to get out of the business area and see the city properly. Very friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

We arrived on Friday afternoon got to our room notice the bar fidge door hanging off but otherwise the room was comfortable. Went to the bathroom washed hands and the water just flowed from the pipes to the shelf then the floor. They offered to change rooms for us which we took up but after a day of shopping get back and still no room can sit for 2 hours and wait. How housekeeping didnt see the issues in the first place amazes me. Pretty sure I wouldn't stay here again as one would think it would have been priority to get a new room ready.

A pleasant stay. Friendly staff. Room was modern but bathroom looked a little shabby and the fan didn't work. Windows let in a lot of noise for the 11th floor. Other than that it has a great location just down from the train station.

Since arriving on the friday myself and my wife found the front desk administration was very pleasant and helpful, which make you feel welcome to the establishment. The hospitality from the kitchen and the dining staff was excellent. When called reception about something they make sure that you will have the information/thing you ask for within 15 minutes of you calling to you at your room. The room was amazing and everyday coming back from sight seeing the room was made if you walked in the first time.

Close to everything.

I stayed with my family a couple of weeks ago. The staff were so professional, accommodating and always greeted me with a smile.

We arrived prior to the allocated check-in time, and as a room was available we were able to get into our room sooner (The room was lovely and tidy).

After a 12 hour day sight seeing we decided to get Room Service. The person that took our order was loving and the food was delivered in a speedy time frame.

We will only stay at Travelodge Wynyard

The hotel is a bit tired but for the price per a day its great. Only 10 minute walk to the harbour, it's great if you're on a budget.

For $19 a late night pizza after a night out isn't too bad. Though if it's before midnight I think the dominos down the road would do you well.

Room modern clean and comfortable. There is no sound proofing of any type so even from the 13 floor you can hear all the street noise. In addition there was construction going on outside at 2am. Not a great place if you want to sleep.

Location, staff and cleanliness. Stayed in level 3 balcony room. Well equipped with hair dryer, pod coffee machine, kettle, iron, cold air conditioning and big TV with a seemingly endless channels. 2 mins walk to Wynyard train station which connects you everywhere else. Two Woolworths supermarkets within minutes walk and a place that sells "Chinese breakfasts" early in the morning just past the train station entry. The only point to pick is that if you dislike city noise recommend asking for a room in the upper floors away from the 'city noises'. No fault of the hotel just Sydney is a busy city. Will stay again if in Sydney again.

8

Good location by the station. Was upgraded to a studio, which was a nice touch. The room was quite basic, but very clean. The staff were probably the best part; very friendly and helpful. The biggest negative was the fact that the room would shake a little/make a loud noise every time a train passed underneath (probably not an issue n higher floors). The air con was also a too loud, but would stay again for a basic room in a central location.

Extremely noisy. Rubbish trucks in middle of the night. Aircon noisy. Changed rooms. Someone (maid) I left a card and chocolate plus water bottle for Mr. Someone (not me). Then a maid came in early morning when I was still in bed. She didn't close the door properly behind her (great security) . Found it open 2hrs later.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

We initially stayed here due to its reasonable price and distance to circular quay as we were going on a cruise.

With very little expectations to our surprise it is an absolutely fantastic hotel close to everything you need including circular quay, harbour bridge, opera house and a train station from the airport directly out the front. Our room was contemporarily fitted, clean and comfortable. The reception staff were also incredibly friendly, helpful and were even asking us about our holiday plans.

Rooms are OK. Clean, in good condition and sufficient space. Reception service was good. But for a 3 night, 3 people stay was given 1 roll of toilet paper. Had to literally call up reception at 10pm to request more...only to be handed ONE extra roll.

And it has the poorest bathroom design I have ever seen. Shower spills water everywhere, and the hot/cold water controls are temperamental at best! Be ready to get burned!

But the ideal location kind of - ALMOST - makes up for all this, so you may still end up staying here...

We stayed here for 2 nights. Their breakfasts were good. Our room was nice and clean. Overall, everything was good and worth the prices. The only minus point was the lifts were under maintenance, which caused a bit inconvenience.

Rooms size and bed is very generous. Air-conditioning was nice and cool. The room I got had nice views. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Free internet was good too. Room had a flickering light but forgot to mention it to reception as I only used the side lamps. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay at.

The rooms are of a good standard and the staff fantastic. However the walls are paper thin. We stayed three nights. We heard the neighbors have sex three times on night one, had a reprieve on the second night but had to endure some drunk guys playing loud rap music after midnight. To be fair the staff did get them to stop (the loud music I mean). Otherwise our stay was good.

Really nice hotel you get what you pay. Located perfectly, just a small walk away from Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge but still in the city giving you the possibility to get easily to restaurants, shopping or metro. It has a Starbucks directly at the corner and its close as well to the Madame Tussaud's. Definitely recommend it as it is perfectly located and the price is not too high

The location and room was fantastic. The view was beautiful and the place was clean and staff friendly. The elevators are currently under service which was a big pain. At one point we waited 10 minutes for an elevator that kept skipping our floor and then had to walk down 18 flights if stairs which we didn't love. But aside from that, it was lovely.

Just need to work on the air conditioning. I visited during the scorching hot month of December and the air conditioning equipment they had in the room just wasn't keeping up with it. But otherwise, great place! Staff was friendly, price was more than reasonable, prime location and room service was quick.

We had a little confusion when we first arrived as we were not aware that there is no power in the rooms until your insert and leave your room key card in a small unlabeled receptacle near the door. The small window in our room did not latch securely so we still heard a decent bit of traffic noise from the street below. The window coverings are sliding solid wood panels. The shower seems like it's trying to be fancy, but the fact that it has no door makes water splash out onto the mat/floor. Else, the room has been serviceable

Great location, a minute away from the subway station. It's walking distance to the harbor and opera house. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are pretty spacious and the bathrooms are clean enough. I hate how the shower is only half a door so water leaks out.

The hotel is right next to the Wynyard train station. This is great, and this is a problem too if you want to have a good sleep because trains make noise and they seem to go through right below your room. Service is okay. Rooms are clean.
I asked for a quiet room and I was told that they were full and not many choices were available. Within two minutes a housekeeping staff told me that they were not as busy. :)
I will look at other places next time.

After researching reviews for a few hotels, we decided to book with Travelodge Wynyard Hotel since it was in a nice location for a reasonable price. Prior to the booking we noted that we would like to have early check in and if it wasn't possible then it would be fine. Upon arriving on the 19/12/16 the room was not ready. We were understanding of this and requested the receptionist to give us a call when the room was ready as everybody was tired from the flight. However, the receptionist had ignored us and demonstrated some racist behaviour during conversation. This made the stay deeply disappointing due to the unprofessional service of this receptionist. We were very much looking forward to staying in this hotel as it had a great atmosphere, however this was ruined by the lack of professionalism of the staff. We would like a formal apology from the blonde receptionist wearing glasses working on the 19/12/16 in the early morning around 9am.

The travellodge is located in a great area of Sydney (The Rocks) everywhere within walking distance. Room wasn't bad however I was given a room with no view whatsoever. The free WiFi here is horrible and if you want any kind of connection to the Internet they make you pay for it. Overall just an average hotel but very price efficient if you are trying to same some money.

The hotel lobby is usually smelly. I have travelled a lot to Sydney and sometimes I visit this hotel just for the sake of good views but I still see no improvement since my first stay. The rooms are pretty much small and the receptionist would always say that I have upgraded you to another room but ultimately you end up in the same room with limited facilities.

On the better side, this area has the best access to trains and public transport with amazingly beautiful views and greenery around-the-clock to refresh breaths and eyes.

Great stay overall. The rooms seemed remodeled with the exception of the carpet. The location was convenient to both the train (across the street) and attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was a coin op laundry and gym at the very top floor.

This hotel has a great location being only a short walk to Wynyard station as well as Darling Harbour and Circular Quay however the hotel itself was disappointing. The rooms are cramped, despite reserving the King Room, the bed was hard, there was no blanket, the window furnishings are wooden boards which are too hard and old to shut easily. The hallways have a distinct odor, and the walls generally have holes and look seriously shabby, the windows also were near too dirty to look out.
For cheap accommodation the Travelodge Wynyard is okay, reviews rate it at 4 stars but don't believe them.

Good location, right near the train station so easy for public transport. The rooms are ok. Nothing special but they're comfortable and do the job. The bathroom is tiny, only suitable for one person at a time. The food in the restaurant is really good.

Great location, good mannered staff, rooms can be a bit dated with the heater from the 70s no one knows how to use and old blinds. King bed is 2 king singles so get used to the divide being hard and lumpy.

8

Perfect location, close to The Rocks and public transport. The rooms were typical mid-range hotel accommodation, roomy enough, clean and reasonably appointed. The cost was a bit high for those on a budget but worth it for a central CBD location. The staff were generally pleasant and helpful. The dining room and bar were a bit expensive but the quality and variety were quite nice. The lifts were a bit of a problem because one was reserved for the tradesmen. The bathroom renovations will be finished this month (Oct. 2015) so the extra lift will be available again. I didn't use the Wi-Fi but my companions didn't seem to have trouble with it. There's PC's near the lobby for basic online access. There's a well stocked display of all the tourist info leaflets so planning day trips was easy. The new bathrooms were very nice although the water pressure could have been stronger. The air conditioner wasn't quite cool enough for me so I don't know what it would be like in summer. The weather was quite cool when we were there. (Sept. 2015) All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

For the price and location, Travelodge is a good deal. I stayed there for 4 nights and did not have any problems. Bed is comfy, rooms clean & tidy, bathrooms are clean. Staff was courteous. Wi-fi speed good.

The restaurant downstairs serves decent food. However, the service is inconsistent. I asked for warm water once and they served chilled one. The excuse was that the glass was cold. Another time, a waiter took the menu away from the table without asking whether we wanted to order more food.

Anyway, I do no expect much from Travelodge because they are like low cost airlines, as long as I reach home safely, they work for me.

Thank you to Michael, who checked us in and moved us to the 16th floor with a newly renovated bathroom and away from the jack hammers while further renovating was being done. He was very accommodating and helpful, great asset to your hotel chain. Very short walk to the train station, and shops. Highly recommend.

Haha ignore moha n Bala.
1. there is wifi look it up on their website. But it costs as does everything.
2. Can't say I got room service but the house keeping is fine. Beds made etc the people that do it are friendly.
3. I didn't smell the carpet...
4. Have not heard any noise other than usual city noises. Sirens. Cars etc
5. The drilling he has complained about was mentioned when we booked that they have been renovating the bathrooms and work will be between 7am to 7pm so I don't know what he's complaining about. The reception also told me about this and gave me a piece of paper to give with feedback so perhaps he should have done that.
6. It's no smaller than other reasonably priced places, and this one at least is modern and tidy.
7. Cleaning seems pretty good to me. Nothing to complain about.

I thought he was pretty far off on his review that's why I'm addressing it. I thought it was fine. Close to everything. The new bathroom is really nice too. Up to date alarm clock/iPhone lightning dock. Austar. Complimentary wine on arrival.

The gym isn't much though.
And elevator doesn't display the right floor number but big deal.
