I was quite pleased with our stay, as it truly is the best stay for accessibility to downtown Chicago. Despite the COVID-19 situation, we were met with friendly staff, a pleasant atmosphere, adherence to CDC guidance concerning COVID-19, a well-kept room and superior service. The front staff was unmatched in their service. I was also impressed with their ability to adhere to the state imposed face mask policy. I would recommend this stay for anything traveling for business, as was I, or with a family on vacation. Again, very pleased with all aspects of this stay.

When visiting Chicago, I recommend considering this location. Though coronavirus has severely restricted hotel amenities, the staff here try hard to fully accommodate guests with the full Embassy Suites experience. I will return!

The place is like a paradise. They welcome you like a family and make sure to help if you need anything. They offered free pick up from and to the place where you wanted. The breakfast is very delicious. The next day they provided me with a lunch meal when I asked. A delicious homemade meal prepared by the professional chef. The house is lovely and the rooms are very nice and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel with a very conscientious staff. Didn't realize how loud it is on State Street between 11pm and 2am. Will request an inside room instead of a corner City-facing room next time.

Had a great time on Christmas night. Rooms were great and surprisingly affordable. Pool was a little small and a wee bit chilly for my taste but still nice. Loved the dinner-y snack thing and drinks and especially the breakfast... Really really good and filling, remarkable to have it included with the room. Also found the loading and unloading to be quite convenient, unexpected since it's right in the middle of busy downtown!

One of the best hotels in Chicago! It has very clean rooms, a wonderful pool and fitness center, kind and helpful staff, complimentary breakfast that changes everyday that includes made to order and buffet foods, and it's in a great location nearby many markets and cafes. There's even a pizza restaurant inside the hotel safes inside the rooms, and valet parking. All this makes it an amazing place to stay in while visting Chicago.

The staff was all nice, from the happy hour workers to the cleaning crew. The pool was nice, the rooms were clean, and overall, the rooms were quiet. Happy hour was nice because it rained the entire time we were there. So, we didn't always get out for dinner and just had snacks instead.

Complimentary breakfast with a make to order omelette station AND a complimentary mimosa or bloody Mary!! Room was good. Ac struggled a little at first, but engineer fixed the vent and it worked fine after that. Super close to the red line and easy walk to the magnificent mile

Fantastic. All the staff we dealt with where amazing and very kind. It was a bit pricey but they gave us free drinks, snacks and breakfast. The service was very fast and friendly. Definitely will be staying here again next time I visit Chicago.

I was in Chicago attending the ISTE Conference. While there I stayed with Hilton Embassy Suites. The location is on the Majestic Mile was perfect! The hotel was impeccable and made sure that my every need was met. The rooms were very nice and spotlessly kept by house keeping. All the staff was wonderful and very friendly. You can not ask for better service than I received. They have guaranteed that anytime I come to Chicago I will be staying with them. I highly recommend this Embassy Suites to anyone coming to Chicago.

The hotel interior was very attractive and clean, including the lobby and mezzanine floors. The rooms were not very flashy or modern, but well-fournished and served their purpose. The beds were comfortable and the curtains were incredibly good at keeping light out. Even though lots of kids were staying in the hotel, the rooms were quiet. The breakfast offerings were decent and varied across the two mornings that I was there.

We had a great time! Easy check in and out. Room was great and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and the selection was better than some of the local restaurants. There is a happy hour offered in the afternoon. Will stay again!

Breakfast was excellent! Everything else was a little out of date. On our second night there we got back to our room and it reeked of marijuana. Kind of a big deal, so we definitely expected the hotel to either move us or compensate us. They did not. They sent a cleaning lady to come up and spray some chemicals on our floor and look disapprovingly at us. Very unimpressed by the way they handled that. On our checkout they did give us a bit of a discount on the room. However, if you expect a hotel to care if your room smells like weed, maybe find another place.

I stayed here for a training event and it was what you would expect from an Embassy hotel. Clean, prompt, courteous. The food served from the kitchen for our event was great. The location is also well placed in the downtown area which made it beyond convenient for walking around and checking out the city. Plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby as well. I would definitely stay at this location again in the future when visiting the Chicago area.

Pros: Perfect location for walking and exploring, Family suite was the perfect size for my family of 5 and the privacy door was perfect for when some of us were sleepy or needed rest.
Cons: Bring a cooler with ice and drinks. Bending machines and ice machines weren't working in any of the hotel floors.

Convenient location. 1/2 mile to Water Tower and 1/2 mile to theater district. Tons of great restaurants within blocks. Staff quick and nice. Lobby and atrium clean and spacious. Parts of the room were somewhat dated, but not at all to the point of being put off. Room was clean and comfortable. *** Ask for room on State Street side. Opposite side windows open to parking garage.

I tagged along with a friend who had a convention for work and I enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer. The breakfast was great and I enjoyed the make to order omelets every day. The staff were super nice and the nightly cocktail hour was really fun. The bartenders were very friendly and meeting up with alot of the same guest every night for a few drinks made my stay even better. I would definitely stay there again!!!

It's a good base camp for a family vacation in Chicago. Most of rooms are suite. The subway station, Grand on the red line is within a block, taking less than 5 minutes on foot. Downtown is only 2-3stations south taking 10 minutes to lots of attractions like Millennium Park, Art Institute, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, etc. The hotel includes hearty breakfast satisfying most children and their parents (no need to wander around, and saving time in the morning for your schedule). It also has a manger's reception at 5:30pm for free drinks, helping you decompress over cool beer, wine or cocktails after a full day of sightseeing. And you're recharged to lead your family for dinner. If you don't feel like going out, there's an indoor swimming pool to set you free.

Only stayed here for one night. Had a good experience, check in was easy and the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and my overall stay was comfortable. They had good hot breakfast and the fitness room was clean and everything was functional. Overall, very satisfied with my stay.

I can definitely say that my stay here was much more comfortable than the Drake hotel where I stayed last time.

Overall experience was good. Breakfast good, the room being ready early good and happy hour great. The downfall was when I couldn't find a pair my 200 dollar north face pants and realized housekeeping must have picked them up with the towels or well other scenarios could of happened. I'm from Canada so all the front desk said is if they find them they will have to mail them. I don't think it should of happened in the first place considering all their bedding and linens are white and my pants were black. Anyways, good experience but Keep your bags closed.

I stayed here a few years ago. My favorite thing about this hotel was the location. It's right in the middle of Chicago's River North neighborhood, close to lots of shops and restaurants. The rooms were fairly updated, though I hear they were renovated again since. The breakfast and pool were stellar. I was here while the elevators were being renovated which did cause some waits, but of course that's been finished by now. The restaurant in the lobby was also great. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to people in the area, although if you want slightly updated public areas and breathtaking views of the lake, choose the Mag Mile location.

I loved it. I Didn't have any problems with the room or nothing. My favorite part of the hotel was the pool, that hot tub felt good as I don't know what. My first experience was my best experience. I loved it and I will love to come again

This is a great hotel, the rooms were clean and ours had a bedroom and a sitting room along with the bathroom. There is happy hour with open bar and snacks from 530 till seven. @Was excellent! Also they have a great breakfast buffet with made to order omelettes. One of the best breakfast I have ever had in any hotel. If there is a downfall it's that you have to pay for parking, but it's worth it. The pool is a little small but my kids had a great time in it.

As you can tell it is located right downtown very close to many great spots and a small Uber ride away from the rest.

Nice cozy, clean Hilton near Grand train station. In the heart of Chicago downtown. Has a nice mini lap pool and gym. Great breakfast place with early Manager's evening drinks. There's a nice Italian pizza pasta restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel.

Great hotel by the Hilton group with many upstandard amenities. Popular free evening wine reception hosted by the manager. Your stay includes a classy and expansive breakfast with custom created dishes together with all the favorites at no additional cost. Great staff that makes you feel welcome. Overall exceptional experience.

Beautiful suites. I stayed here in summer 2017 with my husband and 8 year old son. It was Very comfortable and spacious. The rooms were tastefully done in a business casual style; we had a suite with double bed, sectional sofa, conference style table, microwave, mini fridge, mounted TV, huge bathroom, etc. for very little price.
Feeling safe is always a number one concern for me and we felt very secure at Embassy Suites. The breakfast was free and unlike any other breakfast buffet at any other Hotel, period. It was more than just cold cereal and waffles with fruit, it was hot food that you actually wanted to eat after a long trip, with coffee, juice, tea and lots of elbow room to enjoy it in.

I didn't like the front desk receptionist though. There was one girl who honestly seemed like she was high and didn't like me bothering her.
But even the terrible receptionist was not enough to downgrade the wonderful stay we had at Embassy.

Solid 3 Star. Really like the free breakfast! Rooms are fine and modern enough. Extra sinks very helpful for multiple guests. Price is hard to beat. Be warned though, if you're unlucky enough to get the pull out sofa, you may be more comfortable sleeping on it as a couch. Seriously. And since all the rooms face the atrium, good luck sleeping with the noises. Back "bedroom" is better insulated. Also, walls are very thin.

Ive been coming to the Embassy suites now for a couple of years, and this particular Hilton Property has the charm and location that makes it perfect.
Check in is always courteous and friendly, and the rooms are appointed with all I need and well kept. There's plenty to do in the immediate area, endless choices of very good dining, and the miracle mile a couple of blocks up E Ohio Street.

Parking is of course not an inexpensive thing in Chicago, but the way they handle it here and get you on your way is as good as it gets.
Excellent overall, and I look forward to coming back.

Overall, everything was quite decent. Nice beds, nice desk, nice sofas, nice service. Breakfast tasted fine. though there was a small lack of options, the omelette feature was nice. Only thing that dropped my score was that the shower did not work comptletely, though it was functional. I am sure it could have been fixed quickly, I just didn't care enough because of my short stay.

Great hotel! We had a street view, corner room suite. Spacious and clean. They have a free happy hour with snacks, soda, coffee & 1 free alcoholic drink. Free breakfast was wonderful. Made to order omelets, French toast, oatmeal, bagels, quesadillas and more. Highly recommend!

Check in was great. We arrived at 8 am from the airport. Called ahead and asked if we could check in early. They said the king size bed room can only be available at 4 pm, but they had 2 twin sizes, if we were ok with them. We said ok, and checked in around 8:15 am. Buffet breakfast was available till 9:30 AM, so it was an awesome check in. Stay has been great. We've stayed here before, so used to the hotel. Evening cocktail hour is awesome, with board games available for families. Overall, great experience!

Our room was nice, clean, and well maintained. Zero view from our room but that was on purpose. If you want a view you are going to be in a room on a busy street with a lot of street noise. Our room was pretty quiet. Two complaints, the shower head was mounted neck high for me. It was on a hose which helped but still didn't like that. The other problem was the TV/satellite signal kept going in and out. This problem was not exclusive to our room. The breakfast bar was nothing special.

Stayed at this hotel for the Labour Day weekend - 3 night stay. Customer service at the front desk was terrible no matter who we talked to and the worst part was that the water pressure in the toilet was so low that the toilet wouldn't flush. We had maintenance come out twice to look at it but they never fixed it! Why pay $200+ a night to stay in a hotel where you can't even use your bathroom. Additionally, the hotel is literally right next door to a parking garage. It sounded like dump trucks were coming through all the time and we heard nothing but car sirens at all hours. When we asked to move rooms, they kept telling us they were full and to ask again tomorrow. Lastly, the lobby has a beautiful fountain...that smells like mold and dirty water. I definitely will not be staying at this hotel again and highly recommend staying at the Embassy Suites on magnificent mile instead.

This is a great hotel and located in a prime location of downtown Chicago. We have stayed here several times and we always look forward to returning every year. The parking garage is convenient and the rooms are very nice and spacious. The breakfast is available everyday, it is good, there are several choices, and it is included in your room price which is convenient not having to leave the hotel.

Hotel is extremely outdated. Carpet stains throughout the suite whereas my family had to wear socks. Barefoot was not allowed. Lighting was dismal. If I were at a club or having dinner, great but not for a hotel room with with kids. We had to supplement natural light to lighten up the suite.
Workout room: no thrills, bare bone. Definitely not whats advertised on web site pictures.
My overall rating would be 3 stars.

The only bad thing is the depth of the pool. It was only 3 feet 6 inches. Rooms clean and nice size. Staff very courteous. Breakfast was a little busy and food maybe not cooked properly but so many choices that it didn't matter. Great location! So close to free Navy Pier trolley. Would definitely stay again.

The restaurant's staff were courteous, professional and jovial. I ate lunch at the next door pizzaria; if you aren't hungry, their brunch is pretty good. Their drinks are even better. Overall, it was a welcome experience. I'm happy it was conjoined with the hotel.

Decent room with a good location and an awesome breakfast. Our supposedly 'room with a view', the one we booked was not available and we were given another one which faced a parking lot. Totally uncool. Also, the room felt and smelled a bit muggy probably because it did not get an inch of sunlight. We tried taking the staircase down and found out that it didn't go down all the way. You had to exit on the restaurant floor and take another set of stairs or the elevators. However we kind of forgot all that because the breakfast was very elaborate with breads, muffins, made to order omelettes, different varieties of coffee, juices, cereal and fruits. Whatever you do, do not miss the breakfast - That's the best part.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. I asked for the rooms to be next to each other with one room being wheelchair accessible, roll in shower. Very accommodating and fast service with towels. Breakfast was very good. The people working there were very nice and welcoming.

Our room was very clean but a little dated. The staff was very professional but a little cold. My daughters enjoyed the pool even though it was small and crowded (and we stayed on a Wednesday night). The elevators were tiny as well and a few times we had to take separate trips down (not a huge deal but annoying). Our included breakfast was disappointing. I know it's not cool but that's my favorite part of vacation. We came down 10 minutes after it began and our hot items were cold. All issues were minor but somehow all together it was just an okay stay and I won't stay here again. I've had great experiences with Embassy in other city. Maybe they were just exceptional and my expectations weren't realistic.

This place is great! Breakfast included every morning and a very clean hotel. The rooms are very spacious and updated, 2 separate spaces in the room. One is a bedroom and the other is a living room with a door you can close in between the rooms. I was very happy with my stay and the staff was great.

My wife and I booked a room to share with her parents. There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom, and my wife and I slept in the queen-size foldout bed. Pros: the interior of the building is open and quite beautiful. We found the price very affordable for four people in this area. The complementary breakfast is more than a few shades better than the average Continental breakfast. The guest services were responsive and accommodating in getting us extra blankets and pillows. Cons: The foldout bed was noisy and stiff, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised; just beware of you're a sensitive sleeper. With the open interior of the building, late night noises can carry to every door and every floor, but I doubt much would be audible in the bedroom. In our room with the foldout bed, there's nothing separating the foldout bed area from the bathroom entrance. A curtain would have been nice, but again, I'm not surprised, just know what you're getting into. The breakfast did have some nice hot, made-to-order options, but the pastries and fruit were boring and mediocre quality.

We had a week appointed corner suite. My party was just there for one night. It was clean, well kept, with fridge & microwave. Also had good in room coffee. Didn't get to take advantage of the amenities this time. Definitely would stay again!

This hotel is a perfect choice for visiting downtown Chicago, especially with family. The pool area is clean with nice lounge chairs. Free drinks and snacks in the evenings. The rooms are great too. It is a great location near a lot of sights and shopping.

Only stayed here a night. The suite was big enough for 6 people comfortably. We had a big family event. Short walk from the famous Deep dish pizza.. and the Millennium park, only .8 mile to the bean. It was clean. No self parking though just the valet parking which was feasible than self parking unless your are an early bird or super early bird ...

Nice lobby but the waterfall is a bit loud for background noise. Good location and staff. The free breakfast was really good with many options. The four elevators meant not having to wait at all. Room was quiet and the TV's are nice. Bed was surprisingly soft and comfy. The air conditioning was a little low on output. All and all, I'll go back.

The hotel rooms were quite spacious and comfortable. We had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch perfect for our party. Out room includes a fridge and a microwave, as well as 2 additional sinks to use outside of the one in the bathroom. Although there's a free breakfast with a nice spread, some of the items were pretty gross - wet pancakes and overdone sausages as hard as hockey pucks. However, you can't go wrong with free and there's plenty of other foods to fill your tummy before a day out on the town!

Loved it. Easy access to the heart of downtown as well as to the train station to Wrigley field. Quiet rooms, great accommodations and super helpful staff. Staff went above my expectations to meet our needs. Staff also took time to answer questions thoroughly. Didn't make us feel rushed. Will definitely stay again as well as recommend to others. Breakfast and cocktail hour was great!

Really classy venue. Great open lobby and meeting area. Well located in the heart of Chicago. Meeting room was a bit on the chilly side but otherwise would definitely recommend staying or attending any events here.

The room was great! The location was good. The hotel is very busy so waiting for a bellhop or a cart does take some time. But that was pretty minor. We only stayed 1 night but overall it was good.

Rooms were beautiful, lobby was as well. Nice breakfast the following morning. Reception in the mezzanine was great. Kids loved the pool however there was too much chlorine which burned the kids eyes just being in the pool area. Would definitely stay again. Indoor valet was fantastic.

Excellent location for a family reunion of about 30 people with ages spanning toddler to octogenarian. The free breakfast and cocktail hour were perfect casual meet-ups for family groups to plan the day's activities then share the day's adventures. The kids loved the indoor pool, but the adults found it small and loud. Great location near shopping (for those inclined) and the L (subway/train) for those wanting to visit museums and shows. It is downtown, so there is considerable traffic noise but we heard very little from the atrium and adjacent room despite the hotel being full of families on Spring Break and a wedding. Earplugs were provided and quite appreciated by this suburbanite. Staff were typical Midwesterners -- unobtrusive unless approached then extremely kind and generous with advice, towels, directions, etc. Rooms are clean and generously sized (being two room suites). Liked having three mirrored sinks (one in each room) - great for families. All sink areas appeared new with updated sinks, mirrors, cabinets, and faucets which made the old shower tile and shower head stand out (and not in a good way). Join the Hilton Honors program (free) to receive free WiFi.

Visited the common are, resident's bar and a room. Idea of the room is cool: living area, room and kitchenette. Bar staff was nice. Liquor selection odd. Brakfast area was weird but we were there at night. I think it's nice they have breakfast for the guests.

I always stay here....walking distance to many restaurants and Mag Mile! Great buffet breakfast (and made to order omelets)! Actually utilized the pool, hot tub, and work out room....which were all great! The restaurant attached to the hotel is divine!

Overall great hotel. Suite was spacious with a nice desk and refrigerator. Complimentary evening social with 1 free alcoholic drink, and light snacks. Complimentary breakfast was nice and convenient with buffet style and cook to order food options. Fitness center has a decent pool and a small exercise room with 3 treadmills and 2 ellipticals.

I recall staying in this hotel in 1995. While they've added some new furnishings and changed the mezzanine area, the rooms feel like they haven't been updated at all. It seems like they've painted over the old dirt rather than attempt to make it feel new. The location is good, and the employees were friendly, but it felt like it needs a breath of fresh air.

This was a nice hotel. The location was within walking distance of everything. There was good shopping and food. The hotel was pretty and clean and quiet. Breakfast was made to order and service was fast. It was a little difficult for a wheelchair, but all-in-all a good experience. The bed was amazing.

I'm very picky. Not snobby but one that expects to get what I pay for. My wife and I have invested a lot of money into Hilton and week probably buy more in the future. We've stayed at many Embassy Suites over the years and not one of them had come close to the one on State Street in Chicago. EXTREMELY clean and excellent service as well. My wife and I enjoyed the stay BIG time!

Accommodations were clean and nice for the price. I unfortunately had to sleep on the pull out bed which coupled with the noise from the open 11 story lobby did not make for the best sleep. Breakfast ending so early was also unfortunate.

Fantastic hotel. Great breakfast, great service, great reception. Suites are nice and beds are super comfortable. They even let us check in at 11 am and check out at 1 pm with no notice! Great location right next to the Grand red line station.

We stayed w/ my daughter's dance company b/f the Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was fantastic! Lovely suite. It was clean & well maintained. The evening Manager's Reception included pasta, fruit, yogurt, snack mix & beverages. Breakfast was plentiful w/ lots of places to eat. Thank you, we will be back.

The hotel is very nice. The atrium/lobby area is inviting and the front desk staff was courteous, they upgraded me to a suite even though I'm only a regular Hilton Honors member. The room was therefore very spacious and comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were both clean and fully supplied. The only negative i can say is that the bedroom didn't have black out blinds and I like to sleep in the pitch dark. Other than that, the hotel is very nice. Good price and great location.

Let me start off saying that this is the nicest hotel that I ever stayed at in Chicago! The price is worth every penny. We got in early and I asked for a Early check in and they were able to provide that for me! When we went to the room we were stunned that we got a very nice suite. The managers reception was awesome with the free drinks and snacks. The pool and hottub were very nice. The breakfast was an all you can eat buffet and it was amazing. They basically had anything you wanted. I recommend guests to stay at this hotel because it was very clean and friendly. We will be back again!

Had to break it down because of all the good info! (Which is hard to find on their website)

Parking:
If you don’t want to pay $59 to park valet at the hotel you can self-park in the building right next to the hotel for $45. The website for self-park says $43 for 12-24 hours. There are blue signs that say “self-park” on either side of the block and you can enter in both.

Staff:
Front desk, room service, and the staff at the complimentary drink evening and cooked to order breakfast is friendly and accommodating.
Don't be surprised if you have to wait 10 minutes if you call prior to staying. The person I talked to seemed hurried and uninterested in answering my questions.

Rooms:
Clean and majority fit 6 people max (2 double beds and a sofa sleeper). It gets a little tight when you have 6 people and there is only one bathroom.

Wi-Fi:
The website, and the staff member I called prior to staying, claim you can only get FREE Wi-Fi by being a rewards member (HHONORS), but we were able to get FREE Wi-Fi by going on to the internet on our devices and following the directions for signing in on the card they gave us at check-in. You can pay for the faster Wi-Fi if you want.

Hotel:
Clean and inviting. The pool and hot tub are small, but open 5am-12am so there is plenty of time to go when nobody is there.

The Breakfast Hours are 630am-930am and we got food from the buffet. The food was good. They have info in the room about what happens each hour during breakfast I didn't check, but you may get cooked to order during certain times.

Complimentary Drinks and Snacks runs from 530pm-730pm and the server said it was unlimited drinks. There were Gardetto’s for snacks and decks of cards and board games to play as well.

Other:
Checkout at 12pm is nice. Kind of a pain to have to use your room card every time you use the elevator.

Stayed at hotel while going to Chicago Fire soccer game with friends. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Location was great to get around town. We were able to walk to the park with the kids with issues. Room was perfect size for what we needed and was well maintained.

This hotel has proven to be incredibly kid-friendly. That also means the lobby and mezzanine can be quite noisy. The rooms block out that sound though. The happy hour is very nice and the bartenders make good drinks. (Although the food is usually fairly sparse, chips or the like.) The breakfast is handy and delicious if you don't want to spend time or money going out for that meal.

Very nice service, interaction with staff was pleaeant. Quality of everything was up to par. Rooms near the parking garage have some noise that will bother light sleepers. Parking is incredibly expensive, but that's fairly typical around here.

Very nice hotel for the price ... Free breakfast is very nice. Clean, well furnished room with comfortable bed. Close to restaurants and Michigan Ave. Close to hospital so there is an occasional siren to deal with. Just download a white noise app and you'll be fine. Overall pleased with visit. Will stay again.
