Only a couple of things need up grading, there no holder for soap , shampoo, conditioner, in the shower, the shower water pressure in to low . When some other unit is taking a shower mine went to COLD instead of warm shower, bathroom could use a hair blower the cheap one from a walmart 10.00 unit nothing fancy. The kitchenette should have a better wine ,opener, and paper towels , more plates , cheap serving set place of 4 would be great. Other then that I rate it a 4 , make the changes it's would be a FANTASTIC HOTEL GETTING A MARK OF 5. Your company on the hotel, has make memories of living the easy life of the 50's. Thank you for a pleasant stay. P. S. First hotel that had a heated pool and comfortable Jacuzzi. Thank you for that as well.

Cool style that fits right into Palm Springs. Nice private courtyard with pool & spa.
Complimentary breakfast is great.
Rooms & buildings could do with a bit of an upgrade. The leather on our chair was torn in places & the bathroom door didn't close properly. There was also a water leak in the room right outside our room so had dripping water & a big puddle right at our door.

Not fancy but large clean rooms around a nice pool and hot tub. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Close to airport and in the heart of the original Palm Springs main village.

Great location, value, and ambiance in general.

We didn't like the bed, which was too soft, and the showerhead, which didn't help the low water pressure (it is the desert...).

We have low water pressure at home, but we got a $20 showerhead on Amazon that simply transformed our shower experience.

That and a slightly firmer bed is all that's missing in this charming hotel.

Really comfortable bed, great breakfast and totally helpful staff who were there for anything we needed. The view was extraordinary! The front is a little deceiving, until you go into the pretty courtyard. Very pleasant experience!

Not as expected unfortunately. Rooms need an update and some maintenance. With some new decor and a refresh on the front facade, this would be a great Mid Century hotel. The pool area and view of the mountains is great, and breakfast was good. WiFi worked well. Just expected more for the higher price we paid.

Updated old style motel. P Pretty good complimentary breakfast. Rooms are minimalist. Nice shower. But pricey and location is too far from town center.

This hotel is great for a weekend in Palm Springs. We were very happy with all aspects of our stay. First....The rooms are incredibly clean and well furnished. The beds are very comfortable. Second the pool and hot tub are great for an afternoon lounge. Third the staff are very accommodating and hard working. Forth the breakfast is delicious.
We enjoyed our entire stay and would highly recommend the Skylark Hotel in Palm Springs !!!!

I'm pretty conflicted about this place. It's perfectly pleasant and has a beautiful pool and beautiful view, but some of the hotel basics aren't exactly up to par. None of these were big problems as far as I'm concerned but probably would bother a pickier traveller.

For example, the air conditioner in our room was crazily loud, even when we'd turned it off. Also, the shower leaks and didn't have great temp control, the TV and internet were both pretty wonky, they seemed to be having some growing pains with a new breakfast setup, and to get from the parking lot to the check-in you need to walk on a sidewalk less street around the block. None of these are deal breakers in my opinion, but if they want to get 5 stars they'd need to polish up those kinds of problems

The rooms are very well kept and spacious. Love the pool I enjoyed Pool Service. Nothing like a nice drink next to the pool! Look forward to staying overnight here instead of just coming for a social Gathering. Love the location! Right in the middle of downtown Palm Springs

Awesome experience front desk was super cool, rooms were cold as heck great A/C, pool being 24 hours open is the best and the nights at light are perfect for a relaxing mood, also steam room was the business felt great nice and peaceful environment, close to some fast food, close to downtown, complimentary breakfast is great selection a little more than whats expected, plenty of parking right out back. I definitely will be back to this hotel great price.

A clean, classy, mid-century modern hotel. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Grounds are well-manicured and nice. Property is small but not cramped. More like an intimate vibe here. Check Trip Advisor for the latest more up to date rating from recent travelers.

The place is always neat and clean (both the room and the pool/spa). Bed was comfortable (quite soft). The shower was the main drawback, water temperature was really unstable (boiling and/or freezing) and would alternate on its own.

It was my first and last time staying there! I stayed there New Years Eve weekend and was not impressed! Even though the front desk staff and housekeepers were extremely nice! I was underwhelmed! When I booked my stay I did it about four weeks in advance! I was told there was a three night minimum! When I arrived around 2:45pm my room wasn't ready! So I sat patiently in the lobby and watched three couples check in and to my surprise they didn't for three nights like we were told! An hour later when my room was ready I brought this to Tony's attention and he apologized and said it was because I booked in advance! We didn't receive housekeeping services for our entire stay! We had to keep asking for clean linens! I guess when you work there your allowed to bring your kids to work! So it felt more like a apartment then it did a hotel! The pool and staff were nice but not nice enough to stay here again!

Clean comfortable rooms and friendly, casting staff. I'm afraid my only interest was in finding such a place and this quaint establishment met that requirement.

Not as reasonably priced as I would have expected considering some of the brands of hotels nearby but I was pleased with the hassle free nature of the check-in and the quiet nature of our room.

The Skylark Hotel in Palm Springs was built in 1955 and played host to a parade of movie stars wanting a relaxing holiday far from Hollywood. Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando, Tony Curtis, Jayne Mansfield and Peter Lawford were all seen poolside in the private courtyard at the Skylark.

During the late 1990's the once swanky hotel on N. Palm Canyon Drive became Camp Palm Springs, a clothing-optional retreat for gay men. In 2010 and 2011 Camp Palm Springs had fallen into disrepair, and many in the gay community called it a 'seedy dive.'

Sensing a great opportunity, two enterprising gay men who were business and life partners bought the hotel in 2012, and invested over a million dollars renovating the rooms and exterior of the hotel, which reopened in January 2013. The Skylark is proudly gay-owned, gay-marketed, and straight-marketed. Everyone is welcome at the Skylark.

I spent five nights at the Skylark and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Check in was a breeze, and the general manager and his front desk staff couldn't be nicer. The winning mid-century modern decor and the king-sized bed was very comfortable, the air-conditioning worked well, and the fridge in the room was put to good use and appreciated. The wifi signal was strong and the pool outside the door was fantastic! The bathroom is very small and had a small shower. My one complaint with the room would be inadequate water pressure and scalding hot water in the shower. Minor quibbles that won't keep me from staying at the Skylark again.

This is a limited service hotel and there's no restaurant or room service. A continental breakfast is served in the hotel's great room. The breakfast is lacking and the only thing I had was a banana. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance of the hotel.

If you're looking for a lovely hotel with a nice pool and a storied history in Palm Springs, be sure to check out the Skylark Hotel.

I was pleased overall with the cleanliness, security (locked entryways), and heated pool and sauna. Most of all, I was pleased with the front desk. These gentlemen were kind and caring, and very accommodating.
