Parking system is absurdly confusing since it’s shared with a convention center AND it costs $19 a day for hotel guests. Super easy to get lost in the garage at 2AM, sleep deprived and starving.

They don’t provide slippers! What hotel doesn’t have any slippers on them?

Toothpastes come in single one time use sachets so you don’t have a cap to close and use it later.

And no complimentary bottled water! Not even one! 6$ for drinking the water they kept in the room for our “convenience”.

Not something you want to come to after driving for 6 straight hours.

There for a wedding. Everyone working there is very pleasant and the beds were very comfortable. I liked the security of having to use your room key to use the elevator. The bar is interesting. They have bourbon and Japanese whiskey no scotch.

Usual hotel stuff. Whoever cleaned tucked my stuffed animals in when they made the bed, which was cute and nice. Location right next to Hartford Convention Center so very convenient. Also within walking distance of bars and other such establishments. Rooms were nice, only complaint is they provided 2 water bottles but if you drink them they charge $6 or so per bottle consumed. It says on the label but easy to overlook by mistake. Other thing is the air conditioning makes the rooms really cold if you don't adjust it (which you can but I didn't realize until the last night) Overall a good time. Would visit again.

The location is great. I was able to go everywhere I needed to go to without much trouble.

Literally all of the rooms have only double beds, so be careful. They have air mattresses available, but the one I got was so deflated that I was practically sleeping on the floor.

It was adequate but to be honest the rooms were nearly identical to the Best Western I had stayed at a little further out of town. The location is great right in downtown but for the price I was expecting it to be a little nicer inside the room. It wasn't bad, the staff friendly and helpful, just nothing stood out.

Went to the hotel for a conference but found it very difficult to differentiate the Marriott building from the Hartford Convention Center. What makes it more confusing is that the hotel shares its parking with the Convention Center and entrance to the parking is at the rear of the Marriott building. Called the hotel earlier and they were not able to give clear directions. Even the Marriott website does not clearly explain how to access the parking lot. It was quite stressful to navigate lanes in rush hour Hartford evening traffic! Getting to the parking was a horrendous experience! Most of the rating reduced for this specific reason. Otherwise the hotel in itself is good.

Every single Marriott employee I encountered was consistently warm,clear, considerate.
Mentioning just a few names ...Deanna ,who handled a special reservation connected to my family’s visit at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Joey at reception arranged a connection for me at the hospital, another young lady easily arranged a late discharge to accommodate our discharge from the hospital.
The restaurants offered appealing, contemporary healthy food choices.
The hotel is exceptionally clean ,comfortable and well maintained. The location was excellent.
I will definitely tell our program director at CCMC about my experience ,so that he can tell his annual patient admissions,of approximately 250 patient families ,who need at least 1-3 night stays ,that the Marriott Downtown has a guest focused policy that will bring comfort and an important respite during their child’s hospital stay.
I would suggest calling the hotel directly rather than being transferred to the reservation call center.
Thank you Marriott leadership for guiding your staff to bring a guest a quality experience.

This is a 22 story or so Hotel in Downtown Hartford in an area that's pretty nice. The hotel is a bit upscale, and the rooms are upscale as well. The bathrooms are small though there's not much to see. The beds were comfortable, and there was a good view of the city. They have a Starbucks downstairs for eating or drinking, as well as a bar. The parking is $28, but if you get your past stamped, it's only $19.

I attended an event in the hall. The venue was clean and the food provided was good. Parking is attached and plentiful. It is right next to downtown Hartford, so it is pretty easily accessible but if you go during rush hour you should add that into your commuting time.

Lovely views of the river. Exemplary service in a really nice looking place. A couple restaurants to choose from on site or several things to walk to across the street. Anywhere in Hartford, be prepared to pay for parking around 18 bucks a night. I stay here as often as I can. Quiet room with nice bed… And the great concierge lounge

Excellent hotel located next to the Connecticut Convention Center, Science Museum and entertainment district. The Vivo Restaurant offers an extensive three meal menu, nice atmosphere and varied seating options. You can't go wrong at the Hartford Marriott.

Had a wonderful stay. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The young man James was so very helpful when he took me to the train station in the hotel van. Thank you for your assistance to the whole staff on STITCHES UNITED weekend.

Only visited the lobby during an event next door. Hit up the bar for a few drinks. Lobby bar thumbs up. Good assortment with relatively good service. Downside is you're drinking at a swanky downtown bar...its a bit pricey

Myself and several other guest organized an event a worked with Stephanie in Sales to create a room block for us to stay at the property. Went to a work related event in one of the banquet halls. The venue was great with very good food and clean facilities. Would highly recommend this place for other functions.

The hotel is beautiful with great views of the downtown. The pool and hot tub were large, clean, and really well done. Again great views from there. Also it's in a great location for food options. You should definitely check out Bears if you go.

Everything was quite clean and we had a good time. The pool was nice and breakfast was good. Very close to several good places to eat.

We booked two rooms here, one normal suite room and one luxury suite room. Even the normal suite room with kitchen and a small living room is good for a couple or a small family. The luxury one is fantastic with a super large living room. The service here is good too.

Overall a clean well-run establishment with endless happy and welcoming faces. There were meal choices outside of the restaurant which were equally delicious but cost less money. I thought it was great, especially for the price.

We came for a dance competition and had a great weekend stay! The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant Vivo was nice for lunch, but had no children's menu. The pool and Jacuzzi area was clean and well stocked with towels and is up on the 22nd floor with views of downtown Hartford. The staff were all lovely and helpful, even though I imagine they must have been fairly overwhelmed with the masses! We will definitely stay again if we come to Hartford in the future!

I was working at the convention center and walked over to the Marriott during a break. I went to the bar to grab some lunch. Staff was ok, it wasn't super busy and they seemed nice enough. food was decent but a bit pricey. I got pasta with shrimp for $13. Lots of little Rock shrimp though and the pasta was well cooked. You cant beat the location if you're going to the convention center, for sure. I didn't get to see anything else though, no rooms or anything.

The location, room, and service was great. However, check in was supposed to be at 4. When I tried at 3:55, my room wasn't ready. They said they would call when it was. They didn't ever call, so I checked again at 6, and told them I had been told they would call or notify me through the app but they didn't. The concierge said "well, there's nothing we could do." It was very disappointing.

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean upon arrival. My iron was broken but it was promptly replaced. The bathroom didn't have a vent fan so the mirror was foggy after my shower. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. Everything else in the room was great though! The bed was also quite comfortable and I didn't have any issues sleeping!

If you are attending a conference here this is the perfect hotel to stay because it's right next to the conference center. There are plenty of little places to eat across the street from the hotel. There's a bar in the hotel, Starbucks and a restaurant and they offer a decent menu of items for room service.

The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are great. Great service and excellent room service as well. Bed was incredibly comfortable and the room had its own personal thermostat. Definitely worth the price.

Attend two events at this venue last week. One event offered a brunch buffet which was really good. The other event was a plated dinner, which was ok.
The venue is very nice and I beleive would be a great consideration for many events.

Very convenient location. Rooms were very clean, and spacious. Happy to know there were in-room safes and refridgerators available. Both came in handy! The staff was very courteous with the service.

I went to a wedding hosted here on Saturday. The staff were highly accommodating, the drinks and food were superb and the facilities were spotless. I highly enjoyed the event and the staff just added extra welcome.

The hotel was amazing. It seemed like a business hotel but I saw other families there so you could bring your kids. The service was nice and the rooms were great. The location of the hotel is okay. They have some nice restaurants surrounding the hotel area and a science center right across the street. I didn't explore too much so I didn't see what else there was. The hotel has a great gym, decent pool( not deep at all) , great hot tub, and a spa.

Location is close to many food spots, downtown is in walking distance. If you like to jog you can do it on the river walk path. Staff is friendly and room was always cleaned and vacuumed. If you are lucky and visit in the summer you might catch a concert at Bushnell Park.

Great customer service. Convenient location; right across from great restaurants ( Bear Smokehouse, Nice, Ted's Montana Grill, etc). Indoor rooftop pool and jacuzzi. Spacious rooms, nice sized and modern bathrooms and lively at the L bar downstairs. Awesome hotel food.

Very nice and comfortable, it would be helpful if the staff was a bit more knowledgeable on its surroundings. The Science Center which is next door to them, they did not seem to know the average price, or that they are closed on Monday's. Considering we arrived Saturday evening and were only staying til Monday morning, it would have been helpful since we did asked different staff just in case they happened to have a discount. This visit wasnt planned, so getting info was not planned since we were just exploring the area.

Amazing Security Team, maintenance team and Management Team, along with the Taxi Drivers who were all super helpful. My friends car broke down in front of the hotel, the security guy helped me figure out what was wrong with it, helped to sort of, kind of, patch it up to get it to my friends job. The rest room was very clean. The little bar area was pleasant; the waitress was kind of rushy when I just ordered a glass of wine (which I took about 15minutes to finish) but she wasn't rude about it - just nicely pushy. The front desk was not helpful and very dismissive, most of them didn't look friend; more like extremely vain and self absorbed. The starbuck is adorable and the staff is just brilliant.

In town for a business conference at the hotel. Great room! Very clean and cared for. There was a norovirus outbreak while in the midst of our conference. The management handled the situation appropriately, but were dodgy when we asked questions. Thankfully, I did not get sick but two of my co-workers did. The second day of our conference, while scaled down, went off without a hitch. When we weren't in meetings, the bar staff was quick and attentive and the food we did have was really good. The hotel staff were also very accommodating during our entire stay also.

The hotel is super convenient to the Conference Center. The rooms are very clean and modern. The staff was very attentive. Parking was easy. Getting around to local restaurants was very convenient with the use of the free shuttle service DASH.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Sarah at the Latest Bar was a great bartender- attentive but not hovering. Rooms were clean and spacious. Toiletries were broken and harsh in scent.

We stayed at a time when the hotel was very slow over Easter weekend. The service was as expected and the rooms are generally what we have come to expect in Marriott properties. However the shower in our room could have used a good scrub down prior to our arrival with the pink soap scum buildup in the grout. Everything was great. We hit the town for Easter brunch but kept Easter dinner low key at the hotel's bar. Sarah was great and attentive and recommended a delicious martini for my wife. For most of our meal we were the only people in the bar which was a welcome change for us looking for a slower paced weekend away from home. The hotel's pool/fitness area seemed to be closed for the holiday but we weren't planning to spend time up there anyway. We would definitely stay here again given the occasion to be in town.

Amazing hotel. Stayed in this hotel for one night in one of their best rooms. Their attention to detail is amazing. The hotel itself is absolutely perfect. Room was amazing, the most clean I had ever saw a hotel. Pool on the top floor is amazing. Best hotel pool.

I was here for a work conference and everything was set up very well and the hotel was very organized. The room was very accommodating, although unfortunately I did come across a bug in my bed. I understand these things happen, so I checked the mattress and didn't see any other traces of pests, however that incident aside I was very happy with my stay at the Marriott.

While somewhat expensive, I found the Hartford Marriott to be a fantastic place to crash after seeing a show. The room was comfortable, quiet, and we'll equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room service breakfast arrived exactly on time. The location is ideal, just a short walk to many performance venues, restaurants, and bars. Parking is easy, as the hotel is attached to the Civic Center garage. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Hartford.

Very pleasant stay for one night. The seminar I attended the food was great. And the portions were plenty on their 12 inch platter plates they used. Most hotels for a buffet would use the smaller plates. Was pleasantly surprised.

The hotel was great staff was great with me. the beds were comfortable extra pillows the rooms were spotlessly clean. They even offered complimentary beverages for the kids.

The room was immaculate! The bathroom was well stocked with towels and amenities. Our check in and out was quick and easy. The hotel lounge offered a good choice of specialty drinks before we retired to our room.

This hotel was fantastic. Convenience to the Convention Center was great. Staff was absolutely amazing and so extremely helpful. Had an issue with parking and they went out of their way to rectify it. Truly recommend to anyone. The bill was placed under my door for review in the morning and check out was easy and quick. Room service was delivered on time and hot. And they brought up additional requested items quickly. Fantastic place to stay if you are in the area.

The rings I've been staying in have gone through refresh and look great, plus comfortable as expected. There's some on premises dining that's enjoyable, and several places have started up close by which provide great alternatives. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I'll stay here any time I'm in town and highly recommend the location if also practical to your geographic needs.

We just stayed two nights for a volleyball tournament and were pleased with all aspects of our stay. Check-in was smooth, receptionist made sure we had our parking validated, beds comfortable, Netflix on TV was a bonus, pool was good, workout room adequate for our needs. Location was ideal; being 2 minutes from the tournament gave my daughter's team a lot of freedom to come and go as they needed, and allowed me to get ready in the mornings without rushing.

Went to see the UConn women's basketball Team play et the XL Center. Just a side note, they are unbelievable and actually got to see them in the lobby of the hotel and say hello. It was a special treat for me. The hotel was about .4 mile from the XL Center. We were able to walk it. The staff were great. Joey at the front desk was extremely helpful and even introduced me to a couple of team members. The quality service he provided is alone reason to stay at the hotel. The rooms were spotless. The concierge lounge provided everything that was expected and more. Again, staff were very nice and accommodating. Can't say enough about helpful everybody was. Public areas, gym, pool were all very nice Hotel definitely deserves four stars it was awarded.

I have stayed here a few times over the years, but guess I have never left a review. Nice hotel in a convenient downtown location. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and great showers. The options in Hartford are somewhat limited, so expect to pay quite a bit to stay in this downtown hotel.

I love staying at this hotel. The rooms are great and always clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have always received excpetional service here. The on site restaurants and bar are very good as well.

The location was perfect right next to the convention center, the room was lovely but the only issue we had was that there was no lock on the bathroom door. Privacy is important and in a room that can fit four people you want a lock on the door. Overall I would stay again with a wonderful restaurant and also a bar inside the hotel itself.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. I was there for a professional event and did not stay overnight. The staff I dealt with were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The hotel made sure the event ran perfectly. It was a great experience.

The hotel is very nice. However, the day I went, it was extremely cold. No matter which room I was in, I was always shivering. The conference hall/reception area was very clean and the staff was very nice. The food was great, as well.

Staff was very nice here. Room was nothing special pretty basic. Bed was a little lumpy which was unfortunate. Pretty good bar and lounge area in the lobby. Starbucks tends to run out of products so you need to go their early, in terms of food items and bottled water for some reason they ran out. But that's more Starbucks fault not the hotel. Overall was a good stay.

I was at the Marriott for an event. The food was excellent and the staff was wonderful. The bathrooms were nicely kept. Facilities were nice and spacious. My only complaint is that the parking is very expensive. To park for an AM event, with a discount voucher, was $7. Without the discount it would have been $9. High parking fees do not encourage people to go into Hartford.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Service is great. My room had no view, the iron in the room had something stuck on the sole plate that damaged my shirt. The room was okay. Not worth over $500 a night.

The area is in the city, but without the city headache. The hotel was impeccable. The rooms are amazing. Cannot even say makes you feel at home, this is way better. Will definitely come back.

We just spent an overnight stay at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. The service was exemplary from the valet parking, to the front desk, to the dining room, professional, courteous, and friendly. Our room and linens were pristine and they quickly provided extra bedding I requested. The hotel was immaculate, kudos to housekeeping. We were last minute guests they were able to accommodate and of no influence. Our experience was wonderful and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

An absolute treasure in the area. With a pool that overlooked the water, and a very engaging staff. I never wanted to leave! The price you pay is well worth what you receive. I will always be a loyal Marriott patron as their staff is among the best in the industry. Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed at the Marriott Downtown last week. Our stay was actually made really great after we left! Everything was fine with the hotel and room, but we mistakenly left an electronic car key in our room. Thanks to Jackie in Housekeeping and Adam Russo in the business center, the key was returned to us.

I really appreciate this kind of service. It's so easy to say "we didn't find it" but these folks went the extra mile and returned it to us. Many thanks to them and a good recommendation to you!
