This is our favorite home away from home. Rooms always super clean. Staff is super nice.

Loved this place! Was nice having a home like setting being away from home. Not as close to Disneyland as we thought but definitely a great place to stay.

My family enjoyed a couple nights at this hotel prior-to our Disneyland experience (November 2019 time-frame). My son is special-needs and a night owl. Regardless of his 4 year old antics at 0400 walking around the lobby and trying to ride the luggage carts, the employees smiled and didn't deter us from some early-morning father / son time and even let us get some Cheerios to feed his appetite before posted breakfast hours.

Room was comfortable, amenities functional...I hope you guys survive the downturn and cornona-virus shutdowns. One tangible comment for the review...for 4+ guests its cheaper to park at Disneyland then pay for the shuttle service. Food for thought.

Positives- decent complimentary breakfast. Loved their granola with yogurt, fresh bananas, eggs, and coffee. Location was convenient and close enough to the Anaheim convention center. Also a Starbucks inside the Marriott across the street. Lots of space inside my room with great lighting.

Negatives- bedding was not comfortable. Covers were not soft and the pillow was too squishy. I had to get an extra blanket out of the closet, hoping to find myself warmer and more comfortable. No makeup mirror or shower gel (just the bar of soap). Overall, pretty average and decent hotel to stay in for a reasonable price.

Been coming here for years. Love the two separate rooms with kitchens. Try to get a room on the first floor because the elevator is old and slow. Takes a while during the morning breakfast rush. Front desk Staff are friendly and helpful. Price is normally low, so good overall value.

Not bad, but room definitely could have been more maintained. The drain didn't drain properly and the bathroom fan wasn't working so you could tell the walls were starting to get some sort of water damage in room 524! Otherwise everything else was pretty good. Sheets were clean and room seemed to be good enough for a family stay.

The room were nice and clean. The service was really good. The food was excellent except they would never refill the hot chocolate or coffee until the next morning even when guest services said they would that night. But other then that it was an excellent hotel.

The people working the front desk were GREAT, friendly and helpful! Although we were given a # to text if we needed anything so I did text for a blanket for the sofa sleeper, but never heard from anyone. Our room was not the cleanest. No extra toilet paper in our bathroom. We stayed here for the amount of space, 2 bedrooms and a "front room" with pull out sofa, so it did suit that purpose.

I love the Homewood suites brand, I've never had a bad stay. My bag was lost by my airline, when I told the front desk person the situation, without hesitation he offered to go get it for me. I wish I would have gotten his name so I could write corporate about how outstanding he was. The night I stayed they had a pizza and salad buffet with free beer. I'll stay with this brand as often as I can.

Lots of perks for a great price! We loved the free breakfast and dinner. I was a little worried about the distance to the parks, but the "shuttle" was great. The shuttle is really a big retired city bus and it only goes from the hotel to the park. You have to buy tickets, which isn't different from ART. We only had one issue with the bus being overfilled at park closing. The bus drivers were hit or miss, we did get yelled at the first morning for trying to bring breakfast on the bus. Also, one bus driver told us we weren't going to the Maingate location because it wasn't across the street from Disney. The room was nice and the kitchen was well supplied. Our bathroom seemed old. Overall, we loved it though!

Lo action is great! The staff is excellent. The hotel itself is showing age. The toilet was running I. Our room all night. The closet door was broken and could not be closed. Then to top it off, the pool was drained in June!

Luis at the Front Desk is Super Amazing and Understanding! He took care of our needs and concerns during our stay in June. Whenever we visit Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm, we always consider Homewood Suites in Garden Grove, due to the fact that we know that Luis will always take care of us! He has an Outstanding, Excellent Customer Service!

This hotel is extremely outdated. Hallways and rooms are in need of major renovation. The elevator slow as can be. Plus the girl working the night shift at the front desk could not have been more rude. There are a hundred hotels on this road do yourself a favor and book someplace newer and with nicer staff. Also this is NOT walking distance. We wound up using an Uber every day to and from the parks. Add that to 17 dollar a night parking

The rooms are gorgeous, with excellent amenities. My daughter loved the room! We enjoyed the flexibility of buying food and making dinner in our own suite rather than eating out every night! There is a shuttle to Disney for an additional cost, but it is very convenient and runs every half hour. We also enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub, which were very well maintained. All dealings with staff were pleasant experiences that were met with friendly smiles. All in all, staying at the Homewood Suites has been an excellent experience. Thanks!

Great place and super nice staff.
Only thing was the free breakfast was not so great. Yes I know it was free but I stayed at other places with much better. Room was great and good place to sleep. Shuttle to Disneyland was fast and the staff was very nice as well.

Comfy beds, nice staff. The food is mediocre at best, and the showers take several minutes to heat up in the morning (and surprise you by going cold at random, for several minutes). The pool was nice. Someone soaped the hot tub but it was still pleasant. I would say "3.5 stars" but since that's not an option, I'm rounding up.

My children and I stayed in the Homewood Suites for approximately a week. Minor wear and tear of the room as expected but there wasn't any problems with parking, noise, appliances etc. The only major problem was finding an used condom near the bed. I reported it to the manager on duty who sent housekeeping to do a thorough cleaning. Once I returned to the room, the room had been cleaned except the condom was still there. Steward and the general manager were very apologetic, greatly helpful, and accommodating. I will say in the future I'm not so sure I would be interested in staying in another Homewood Suites.

Very friendly, the receptionist even managed to recognize me on return. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. My room was cleaned pretty well after my first night. The area is also pretty good with restaurants and near Disney land and Anaheim convention center.

The hotel is a pretty decent stay. I was here long term and the only real problem I had was the kitchen not having an oven. But perhaps my expectations were set too high. All in all, a decent hotel.

I live in Northern California. Decided to take the kids to Disneyland for spring break. I stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton (April 1 thru April 7, 2018 - Garden Grove 12005 Harbor Blvd Anaheim), while I was visiting Disneyland. I chose this over a timeshare my mom had booked for me due to the convenience of a shuttle to and back from Disneyland. What surprised me was the EXCELLENT room (1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed - perfect for my family of 5 with 3 small kids). What I was more amazed by was the GREAT hot breakfast each morning and dinner (Mon - Thur). The light dinner was so tasty, healthy and the greatest and we would come back after a long days at the park with unhealthy munching, looking forward to just relax over a healthy meal and wine (did I say complimentary?!).

And the staff at this hotel are just awesome. Staff in the kitchen/dining were so awesome. They did not hover or crowd over us, but were very hospitable at the same time.

Our first great experience and stay with HH Hilton has got us hooked. I don’t see is us staying with anyone else again!

Breakfast , and all common areas was big enough for the rush to still be able to enjoy at a great price and suite for a family of 5 comfortable. All hotel employees were extremely nice and helpful, rare to find service this good, no joke. Deserves more than 5 stars!

The room is very nice. The pool is very clean, but the jacuzzi looks really bad. I would not even put a turtle in it it looks so green. The breakfast is good. The staff is nice. But the jacuzzi really needs some work.

Comfortable rooms, with a great staff. The complimentary dinner/beverages is really convenient and decent. Definitely one of the best lodging experiences I've had for the are and price range. I will be coming back and recommending it to people.

Great location for Disneyland, but the shuttle is not free however so plan accordingly with your budget. Parking lot was great, big and not full which made it easy for us as we had a truck and trailer. Rooms where nothing to write home about. Minimal renovations have been done. If you enjoy showers that change temperature by 20 degrees in seconds and toilets that don't flush the first time around you will love the bathrooms. There is also no exhaust fan so it get humid quickly. Didn't spend much time in the rest of the hotel as we were at the Parks so can't say much about that. Wouldn't return unless the other Hilton properties nearby where completely sold out.

The hotel seems a little dated, or at least in need of some updates. The common hotel areas are modern and up to date. The rooms and hallways do not match the common areas. I would say that the hotel lacks a cohesive decor and theme. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. I have not met a single staff member that I did not like. This hotel is good for families visiting the Disney parks. The breakfast included with your stay, constant supply of coffee, and dinner several nights a week make it easy on the pocket for bigger families. The location is great too. Many restaurants and a Target are within walking distance. My biggest complaint about the hotel is probably just our room, but it's the plumbing. Our toilet ran all of the time for no reason. We mentioned this to front desk staff but the problem never went away. I ended up turning the toilet water supply off so that we didn't have to listen to it while we slept. I would stay here again without thinking twice. This place is so close to getting a 5 star rating from me, but some things went unresolved and I have to reflect that in my rating and my review..

Great hotel in a great location. Right across the street from a Target and close by to a lot of quick bites. Disneyland is about 1.5 miles away so you'd be better off purchasing some shuttle tickets from the hotel. The service at the hotel is great. Super friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet every morning. The halls are a bit tight and there is only two elevators in the hotel and they move super slow. The rooms are great rooms but can feel a tad bit dated. You can hear everybody's plumbing around you so if noises like that keep you up, you might not love it. Overall, a great buy in a great location!

Stayed here for two nights, room was very nice, appeared to be recently updated, kitchenette had new appliances. The free breakfast was good, they had eggos instead of make your own waffles, likely due the crowd. They have a shuttle to Disney Parks, adults $6 and children $3, runs hours the park is open. We were also allowed to keep our car in the hotel parking lot even though we checked out our final day, much cheaper and easier than parking at the Park.

We stayed here 6 nights and the experience was perfect. The front desk staff were polite, friendly and always welcomed us back with excitement. The room was clean, the hotel was clean, the breakfasts were delicious. We have stayed in many other hotels and this was our best experience yet. Thank you Homewood Suites. You made a great trip even better! We highly recommend this place.

This is a quiet family hotel, just a short drive away from Disneyland. The rooms are comfy and affordable. The staff was welcoming and helpful with my need to be a tourist. I would return to this hotel next time.

Homewood Suites by Hilton in Anaheim offers a great place to stay when visiting the Anaheim area, whether it be for visiting Disneyland, convention, concert, etc... This hotel is located off Harbor blvd which is in close proximity to many great restaurants, and stores. Parking has a fee, but there is plenty of stalls to park in. Breakfast buffet is great, and offers and great variety of food. Customer service was great. Arrived before check-in time, and room was already ready, great start to our vacation in Southern California.

We went to check in early but the room wasn't ready yet, but notified us as soon as it was. Very nice room decore and the kitchen sweet was stocked with everything u would need to make your own food with the exception of an oven. Great staff as well and they have nightly events on the lobby which is pretty cool I think.

Rooms are clean and everyone was super friendly. The rooms were updated recently, but a lot of the finishes are coming off. Movies playing for kids all day is nice, and the shuttle to/from Disney is a no brainer for cost savings. We didn't leave the immediate area, but the restaurants are close within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here over the weekend for a quick trip to Disneyland. We normally stay closer but this was a last minute trip so this was the best we could do price wise. We booked a 1 bedroom 2 queen suite. It’s pretty convenient to have a full sized kitchen. I’m not sure when this hotel was renovated but the only downer was it seemed like certain things got renovated in the room. They updated the sink and vanity area but kept the old bathtub. Anyways not a big deal for us.

This place does CHARGE for parking. This hotel is pretty far from Disneyland so they shouldn’t charge for parking. They do have lots of parking though. They have a Disneyland shuttle you have to pay for. It technically has one stop at the hotel next door but it’s ok.

Breakfast is as good as it’s going to get for being free. Lots of choices. Most of their stuff comes out of the freezer including their waffles, pancakes, eggs, and assorted breakfast meats. The upside. They have canned whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

The location of the hotel was easy to locate and not too far from Disneyland, which was our reason for staying @ the Hilton Homewood suites. The rooms were clean and it had everything the site said they would have, a full kitchen, bathtub and clean beds. They offered dinner and breakfast for the guests and it was good. I especially liked the breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and stay there myself again.

Currently staying at this location. Will update in the future. Nice and clean with upgraded amentities. Breakfast and Night reception are pretty standard. Hotel staff is polite, courteous and attentive. The only issue i have is the elevator is extremely slow. Recommend the stairs for some exercise.

Clean rooms, not super spacious, but decent. Stove top and full size fridge. Good breakfast, great, friendly service. Main complaint is the elevator system. It's slow and there's only 1 at the front and 1 at the back. I ended up taking the stairs when I could. I had a 2 toddlers with me at the time and we were on the 5th floor, so it would have been hard to get down the stairs with them.

The staff was extremely polite & helpful. The rooms are spacious & bright. There is plenty cooking space in the kitchenette, and living space in the living areas. The sound from the tv's don't interfere with the other rooms. There is plenty of parking and multiple entrances to the building. Initially we were under the impression they only had 1 very slow elevator; however we have since found at least 1 more closer to our room and because it is hidden, there's not as much foot traffic. All in all, we are so very pleased we found this place and would chose to stay here again!

We come to Disneyland a lot, as passholders. We always stay at a Hilton property. I really like that this one was close to Disney, and I love that it's right next to Oggi's so you can just walk over there and grab some food. The room has a mini kitchen which is really helpful if you have children. It was really clean. We had a concern about food smells from the people who stayed there previously, and the housekeeping staff was really quick to take care of it.

Stayed here for a week while my husband attended a training class. Great location! The staff is friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and had great vegetarian options. The infused water offered all day was delicious. Overall very enjoyable stay.

Here for a short visit that involved Disneyland. Hotel had the best rates and the amenities I was looking for my stay. Had an excellent time, staff was just amazing, breakfast and evening social was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will return if I find need in the Anaheim area.

Wow, we are so impressed with this place. Complimentary Breakfast, and light dinner every evening saves us a bundle. Suites are huge, with a kitchenette. Staff were friendly, and the liw cost shuttle to Disneyland was SUPER convenient! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Loving this hotel so much I can't wait to post a review! We even added a night to our stay because we were so pleased!
The first highlight is the great service - everyone from the front desk staff to the staff at the breakfast the evening buffet. Just really warm people with all the answers to your questions!
The second highlight is the morning and evening food service. Breakfast is ample with different hot options each day (and the same cereal, oatmeal, breads, etc. each day.) in the evening a light buffet and beer and wine are available. There is only one entree option plus a salad bar (hot dogs one night and chicken teriyaki stir fry the next) but we found it to be very tasty. Having two meals in the hotel is such a time saver for a family with two young kids.
The rooms are clean and have what we expected for a suite. We also used the pool and laundry and found those to be top notch.
I've stayed in about 5 hotels in this area and will be back to Homewood next time!

Mixed review. Hotel is not walkable to Disneyland. Not by any main gate. There is pay shuttle service. Hotel is aging but kept very very clean. Rooms are large and staff is great. Free breakfast is fine. If the price is right, it's worth a stay!

This hotel is just over a mile from Disneyland, and equally convenient to the Orange County Airport and the Long Beach Airport. It's very clean and has been recently renovated. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay (details below) but the staff is very courteous and responsive and took care of anything they could. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again. We reserved a King Suite on the Hilton App on our way from Disneyland, which is only a couple of miles away. At check in we were informed that there were no king suites available, which was a huge disappointment, especially considering I had only completed the reservation moments before. We were told by the front desk that they had, in fact, sold out of King Suites several hours prior to even making the reservation - which doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the accuracy of the Hilton mobile App. The front desk called the next morning to let us know that a King Suite had become available directly across the hall, and we could relocate if we wanted, which we did. We hadn't asked them to do that, so we very much appreciate that they took the initiative to do so. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues in the room we initially checked into. I let them know about them when I went to the front desk to get the room keys for the King Suite we were transferring to and before I could even move our luggage across the hall to our new room someone from their maintenance team was knocking on the door to take care of the issue, which tells me that they are responsive to issues that might arise. They also called to let us know they added some points to our Hilton Hhonors account for the inconveniences we experienced which goes to show that they care about their hotel guests having a positive experience, especially considering we hadn't asked for any concessions.

Clean your vent system out so the building can breathe, bathrooms especially. Get a company that knows the proper way to clean, prep, and paint/repaint and touch up paint the buildings interior. What a sorry job in some of the rooms.... Creates a sorry eye.

We LOVED this hotel. Customer service was awesome. Loved the little kitchen. The free breakfast was amazing. They have so much to offer. We will be back.

Clean, daily turn down services but nothing fancy.. breakfast was, hotel buffet food but not bad.. dinner is served only on Mon - Thurs... Paid shuttle services to and from the Disney gates. Would i go again, yes. However next time I may try the actual Disney hotels for the experience..

Great location to Disney and any other amenities well within walking distance and even close to Disney buses. Clean rooms updated decor and appliances. The pools are great, one large pool, one kiddy pool and a Jacuzzi. Basketball court and putt-putt golf right next to the pools. Staff was great and helpful. Only complaint was they took too long to clean our original room which made us select another room. Nonetheless, I would stay here again, I recommend it for families since they give give kids bunk beds with a stow away bed which can fit up to 3 kids if need.

Clean rooms and friendly. I enjoyed staying at the hotel as the rooms were comfortable and spacious. My only complaint the elevator is extremely slow. Faster to take stairs. Haha

From the first moment I entered the hotel, I received a cordial welcome that made me feel like I was at home. This hotel has an amazing staff, very professional and a great dedication.
Every morning a delicious varied breakfast buffet is included and the evening meal very light but great.
I am fascinated with this hotel have everything you need is great.

The staff has been very helpful, they have handled all my issues promptly and even faster than expected. I have zero complaints about service. The breakfast breaks away from the standard hotel hot breakfast and provides delicious options. The foldout bed, however, is less of a bed and more of a bunch of metal coils sheethed in paper thin fabric. It's gruesome to sleep on and I hope they replace them with something bearable.

i am a huge fan of the Homewood Suites hotel. I also think fondly of the Hampton Inn, but feel Homewood is a nicer overall chain. However, this experience has me rethinking my predisposition.

I'll start off saying this hotel has great staff. The guys at the front desk were wonderfully accommodating and friendly.

It seems there is no service elevator, so you may just be riding with a maid and her cleaning chariot.

The main breakfast offerings were hit and miss, but the Belgian waffle station was the star. The hash browns were great, but the potatoes O'Brien were not. The scrambled eggs seemed like they came from the bag of dehydrated powder you just add water to. Overall, a better breakfast than the Hampton.

Room 615 is a bit outdated. Sure, the beds are comfortable, but the decor is kind of lacking. Had a wall outlet arc when my daughter plugged in her iPhone charger. Left nice black marks on her fingers.

The shower lost pressure and turned cold whenever a neighbor used their shower. Full kitchen suite, but very small trash receptacles. I suggest not leaving your Privacy placard on the door as you will miss the daily room cleaning.

I think my next visit will be at the Hampton.

I am staying on the tip floor (7) and the main elevator is out of order, so I have to wall to the other end of the hotel for the rear elevator, which doesn't go to floor 7, it only goes up to 6. then I have to walk half way back on floor 6 to get to stairs to floor 7. I also sat on the Ottoman and the cheap plastic wheels broke off... I took the broken wheels to the front desk, this morning but nobody has come to fix it or remove it all day. Other than that, everything has been good.

I have stayed at Homewood suites multiple times. I am always satisfied with good service and friendly staff. Hotel lobby's remodeled look is modern and clean. I recommend this hotel especially for families traveling with children because it was comfortable and friendly.

Love this place. Our daughter lost her bracelet and one of the staff members brought it to the front desk. We described it and showed them a picture and it was returned. This leadership style starts from the top and has worked it's way down to the rest of the staff. Wonderful employees all around.

It is great they always have the food done on time. They also have big rooms with three beds. They also bring you what ever you need.

The suites are spectacular, the beds are so comfortable. We stayed in a handicapped room with a walk in shower with a big bench for me. The staff is the best. They go out of their way to please you. They are under major construction and they have crews all over the hotel. Still I give 5 stars. The breakfast buffet was awesome. I have yet to try the dinner. More later.

Havnt stayed here, just work....setting tile in lobby and outside. Staff is cool and food is good. Very clean. Top notch rooms.... kinda pricey. But well worth it.

I travel a lot and for me hotel is my home away home. So I try to get a good one. I stayed in this place with my family and it was fantastic. The management is super nice and friendly. Rooms and surroundings are very clean. We stayed in a studio suite with 2 queen beds. It has a very good open floor plan. Room was very comfortable.

The shower floor could use some TLC and the fridge area could use little more space.

They provide very delicious hot breakfast buffet every morning. This includes sausage, hash browns, egg omlet, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, waffles, pan cakes , fruits, cereal, oatmeal, coffee and so much more. During evening they also provide light meal. They were delicious as well.

A tourist place like this area eating out can be expensive and this provision at this hotel helps a lot.

They also have a pool, and work out area as well.

I Will definitely rerun and highly recommend this place for other travelers.

It was a great hotel, rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable. Had a nice breakfast, and the hot tub was great after a long day on my feet. Would recommend staying here.

I spent days looking for the perfect hotel for my family to enjoy our stay-cation and Homewood Suites was perfect. The rooms are huge and can accomadate 4 children perfectly which is hard to find, plus they don't charge more per person which is great especially since they provide a wonderful free hot breakfast buffet every morning. They also provide beer/wine and dinner Monday-Thursday evenings. We also enjoyed a free movie by the pool. In addition, the people at the front desk were the nicest I have ever experienced at a hotel and we are pretty well traveled. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here a year ago because we did not like the other hotel we reserved (forgot which it was) and decided pay a bit more for a much better experience, so stayed here. I'd say it was worth it, especially compared to the previous hotel. Really nice, big rooms that feel a bit like home with comfy beds, which is great to have after a long day at Disneyland. The free breakfast had nice tasty options and lots of space to sit and enjoy. Overall a great experience. Would not mind staying back here again!

We are currently staying here. Upon making our reservations, and even at check-in, the front desk mentioned nothing about the renovations that were taking place. Other than the dirty looks from the construction crew every time we entered or left the building we had no issue. However, now the elevator is "out of order" on our end of the building. There is nowhere near enough parking nor elevator space to accommodate everyone at the front of the hotel. That doesn't even account for the hammering and banging we can hear in our room throughout the day. If we had known this earlier we would likely not have chosen to stay here. When renovations are completed it would be a decent place to stay, but the current inconveniences are overwhelming.

Update - The hotel contacted us and offered to change our room due to the issues we had encountered. The elevator was also reopened for use. The management really made a concerted effort to make sure we enjoyed our stay at their hotel. Their gestures were greatly appreciated. Also, there have been a few people commenting that the breakfast was less than desired, and I must disagree. The food was high quality and easily the best complimentary breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. The dining area was nice and we never had an issue finding a table no matter how busy it became. All in all, Homewood Suites was pretty great, it will be fantastic when renovations are completed, and a place we will definitely keep in mind for any future trips to LA.

my family and I stayed at home wood suite for our Disney land trip and I was just blown away. their service was great my brother and I were having trouble with getting stuff and a maintenance man help us every single time. the breakfast was great I highly recommend this hotel

Had some issues with our first room having a broken mirror, the bathroom doorknob not locking and an utterly filthy bathtub. They were able to get us another room fairly quickly but no attempts were made to accommodate moving our luggage from one room to another. I understand that big box hotels like this are now all about self-accommodation-- I have absolutely no opposition to the concept. But if you inconvenience us by giving us a room that would make us financially liable for damage we did not cause and a bathroom that is unsanitary/uncomfortable to use, please put in the additional effort to make up for the fact that we'd be moving all our belongings across the hotel again.

The second room we were given was clean and everything worked. Unfortunately, it had a strong curry smell the entire time we were there. Consider this commentary in poor taste, but it was clear to me that a family of Indian descent were cooking in the room shortly before our stay. It was safe to assume that housekeeping made little to no attempts to rid of the smell because of the sheer strength of the stench the whole 6 nights we stayed. Don't get me wrong-- I quite enjoy the cuisine of said culture. I just didn't want my entire wardrobe to reek of Delhi Palace's lunch buffet everywhere I went for the next couple of weeks. We decided to resort to this room, however, because we had a good feeling the next room would be perfect less a human corpse sprawled on the kitchenette floor.

Speaking of the kitchenette-- what a complete let down! While it is customary to not see an oven especially in a hotel room kitchenette, it's shocking to be given a stove top that has design elements inspired by Hasbro. The pathetic stove top took ages to heat up and had an awful burning smell when it finally did manage to get warm enough to boil water. The room was stocked with limited kitchenware and just a few individual packets of salt and pepper. Don't worry about the latter, though... You can rightfully nab yourself some salt and pepper shakers from the reception area; don't bother asking the front desk for more-- if you're as fortunate as I was, the Manager on Duty will give you "all they have" which in the civilian world probably measured just enough to line a couple margherita glasses. I'm sure you're thinking: one cannot possibly expect so much from hotel room stays whilst on vacation. While I am inclined to agree, we were not left with much options for dinner when one must consider the receptions they offered on weekday nights were nothing short of inedible. I have never--and I mean NEVER-- seen chicken so close to the most standard shade of grey.

Holy cow! I've gone on for 3 paragraphs and I'm not even done yet! Maybe instead I should list the following pros:

-Pool and jacuzzi were never too dirty to develop pinkeye
-The laundromat was never too clean that it made your beachwear feel out of place
-The rotating breakfast options were edible and, on rarer occasions, satisfactory
-Grocery chains to attain edible dinner options in close proximity
-The fitness room was just big enough to stretch before hopping on one of the few treadmills/elliptical machines
-While the AC worked fantastically and the beds in the bedroom were quite comfy, the sofa bed was a sure-fire way to end up in a chiropractor's office even after having hotel staff pad it with an additional mattress
-Parking permit was a small slip of printer paper that could easily be misplaced and when it was (for 3 nights straight), I came to the realization that nothing could possibly come of not having a permit displayed on my windshield because visitors of the hotel next door shared the same snug parking options without the need to pay for parking at all

As a family of seven staying in one suite, we had several requests, and we never heard the word "no." Homewood Suites happily accommodated us and the staff were great about it. The pool and hot tub were wonderful, and the free breakfasts and dinner that we had were awesome. In fact, the Monday free dinner was the best meal we had the whole trip to California and Las Vegas.
