Love this place. Big, clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly & helpful staff. Hallways & grounds in general are kept clean as well. Nice pool & lounge area. Housekeeping staff is the best I’ve ever seen as well.

Only downfalls would be the guest laundry. Not many washers & dryers, & they don’t work well. And there isn’t enough hotel parking. Lots always full.

Nice big rooms, Keurig n extra pods, pool n professional front staff make this a perfect stop!

The one bedroom double queen suite was quite comfortable. The rooms are rather standard as far as decor and age of the furnishings but if you can get something other rack rate, this is a good choice. The location is convenient and close to several stores as well as the "outside loop", Loop 1604.

We were excited to try a hotel back from the freeway. Check in was good and the room was comfortable. A few important notes that made our stay bad. We were woke up at 4am by a child screaming and running up and down the hall slamming doors. We finally fell back to sleep only to be awoken by a loud throbbing bass. I called the front desk and was told it is the church in the building BEHIND the hotel. It was so loud we could not get back to sleep. I wish I was told this was possible and I would have asked for a different room. We were hoping to sleep in. We went to go get breakfast down stairs but they do not have trays to take it back up to your room. Great tip use the tray your ice bucket comes on. No soap in the kitchen to do the dishes with. You have all the set up for the kitchen why no soap. It is little things like that that will take you to a new level. The front desk gentlemen was very apologetic and kind but we ended up having not the relaxing morning we were hoping for

Hotel was really nice and new. The staff were excellent. The only downside to this hotel is the church next door starts playing music at 8am on Sunday. Would have no hesitation staying here any night except Saturday night. Only stay here Saturday night if you get up before 8am or if you are a heavy sleeper.

Pros: great location in the city. Safe area. Clean hotel. Nice lobby and staff is super friendly. Room is great and a good size. I cutoff easily stay in a place like this for a week. Full size dishwasher and fridge. Two burner stove top and large microwave. Updated walk in shower. Comfortable bed. Cons: we stayed on a Saturday night and Sunday morning at 8am, deep bass thumping woke me up. I was staying on the fifth floor so it really baffled me. The AC was on full blast but I could still hear the music a little bit mostly FEEL it. It kept going on and on... The same beat repeatedly. For over half an hour. I finally got up and decided to go down for breakfast. I asked the from desk and they said that it is the Cornerstone church next door and that is every Sunday morning! What!?!?! I grabbed coffee and went back upstarts and the music continued until 9am. Overall I think the hotel is great, but I just can't see myself staying on a Saturday night again as I found being woken up really inconvenient. I mentioned it to the front desk upon checking out and she said it is every Sunday. I really think this is something that should be made aware to people. I stay up late weekends and want to sleep in. I am not able to at home... Can't I at a nice hotel? Otherwise, this place would get 5 stars.

Checked in late, the hotel was busy even at midnight, but was taken care of immediately. Room was very clean and the bed was great. The breakfast in the morning wasn't from a 5 star restaurant but by far the best I've seen.

It has a full refrigerator, two rooms with a tv in both of them, breakfast has a wide variety and the staff is very nice

The place is well kept and the kitchens are wonderful! They are also pet friendly! Just be sure if you have a pet that likes to escape not to be near the front automatic door areas. My friend's dog escaped and ran out into the freeway traffic! It's an absolute miracle he made it safely back to his owners! Praise God for that!

Great rooms, very friendly staff! Breakfast is disappointing though, powdered eggs and microwave omelettes, watery oatmealand a limited seating area.

No need nor any reason (unless requested) should housekeeping be knocking on your door at 8:30am waking you up and distrubing you. That is very rude and disappointing coming from a Hilton. Someone needs to remind housekeeping, that's horrible customer service.

We stayed here for a week. We had a queen suite. It comes with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. It has a full size fridge and electric stove top. They offer plates bowls cups and pans for cooking. We also had our pet with us. I have mixed feelings for this hotel. When we first got here from a 15 hour drive we unloaded and brought our luggage up. I kicked off my shoes and stepped into the kitchen, where the tile and carpet meet the pokes that grip the carpet were exposed (dog chewing?) and I stepped bare foot on rusty metal spikes. The cooking supplies was not clean and there was caked on egg on them. My husband called the front and they gave us a new room immediately. It was such a hassle to load back up. But we did. Our new room was great there was mold on the bathroom wall and vents. I’m not a super picky person but it was very noticeable. So we called down and I cleaned it up myself. They did comp our first night for this. The manager in the front a white man. Was EXTREMELY KIND. Always happy and chatting with people always wanting to help he deserves a raise. The room was okay a little outdated for being Hilton but it was ok. The beds were not comfortable and mattress kept sliding off. Pillows were the same uncomfortable and feels over used. I did love they had a ceiling fan in the room. They also have a digital thermostat which was great. They serve breakfast which is great coffee and juice fruit yoghurt waffles with all the fixings oatmeal and the changes it daily eggs, sausage, omelet, potatoes, cereal, donuts bagels, toast muffin. Great choices. Hotel was quiet we were doomed next to dogs and never heard them once. When we stepped into the hall they were barking and you could barely hear them walked back into the room heard nothing. So the walls are great too. The pull out could use new mattresses my kids alternated because it was super thin and uncomfortable. This is why we left early the beds and sleeping arrangement became a bit unbearable. It was hard finding a reasonabl price place with a pet. Most places say they allow pets then say they can’t be left alone more than 30 min. So if we come back it will be on our list to return. We will just bring our own pillows and a thick blanket for the pullout. Other than that we had a great time loved the fridge and microwave with the pans.

Good place to stay, the breakfast and evening snacks are quite good. The room has attached kitchen, microwave, otg and fridge for your cooking. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

I am a 5 stars hotel traveler so I expect cleanliness before anything. The Homewood Suites by Hilton was perfect after a day of driving, the suite was spotless, two rooms separated by a thick door, full size kitchen with a dinnete table, sofa and arm chair. They have a small store with wine, beer and some edibles.
Note... if you find your room as clean as I did leave a good tip, there in nothing worst than a dirty hotel room.

I was there for a hosted, corporate training class; a half day event. The hotel was very nice and well-kept; noticeable from the moment you walk in. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our conference room was spacious and bright. I would definitely host my own events there.

I hate the bathroom/shower in my suite. Alot. It took forever for water to get hot and the stream was slower than what I had in an Honduran military camp. Who's idea was it to put the light switch to the toilet area outside in the vanity area but also behind the very door you open to get in there. Imagine waking up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and having to nearly hit yourself in the face or scrape your foot so u can reach around the door you just opened to turn on the light and finally go into the room. Yes you can always do your business in the dark but electricity is a luxury we pay for. Also, update the channel list, it's not correct at all One last thing, we are in 2018 and cellphones are basically our lifeline. Why do u only have one available bedside outlet? My supervisor recommended this place but I kind of think he just likes the name Hilton because it wasn't worth the expense to me.

Clean, spacious rooms and an extensive breakfast buffet. If you are traveling with kids or like lots of room, this is a great option.

Room has stove top, refrigerator and microwave. Some rooms have a bedroom and living room. Breakfast in the morning. Service is friendly and curtious. Hotel is by a wings and rings, a restaurant that I rate 5 stars.

We loved our stay of 3 nights. This was the 2nd time we have stayed here. The property is nice and the staff us some of the nicest we have ever encountered. We will be back.

Amazing service. Used the basketball courts and outdoor grilling areas. Staff was great. Maybe a few extra steak knives in the rooms would be nice.

Great hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport and there is quite a few resturaunts around the area. Room was clean and hotel breakfast was fantastic.

Nice clean rooms. The a/c in our room was broken but the hotel staff had the issue resolved before we returned from our activities. The breakfast was excellent and their was plenty of selection.

Room space was great and clean. The staff was superb. Breakfast was great. My bowling group really enjoyed our visit.

This is about the second time I have stayed in this hotel. Both times, we thought we were booking a suite, because of the pictures that were shown, and ended up with a small room that could not accommodate our family. They were sorted out, but it usually took a long time and we were tired, coming from a long way. Staff are overall nice, and the rooms aren't bad. But when we went for breakfast, there was this egg that was delicious and we loved it, until we found out it had meat in it. Besides waffles, there wasn't anything as good as that. They could have labeled the food and what is in it, like i have seen in some hotels, as well as maybe make a vegetarian option, because you cant even taste the meat in the egg, or make vegetarian options more delicious.

It's a beautiful hotel. Helpful staff. Close to many stores if need be. It has a pool, basketball court and a patio with two bbq grills. Rooms are nice and furnished. The kitchenette needed a few more tools but it did the job.

This is so far the best hotel I have visited. My room is spacious, suite 2 Queen beds. Actually you have a separated livingroom, a kitchen with stove pan pots, full size refrigerator, a separated bedroom. The only issue I had it is the bathroom. They need to add a shower. The person at the front desk was very nice and helpful.

The service is great, the rooms are nice and cozy the breakfast is not bad. Would recommend.

Was very hesitant and nervous due to the reviews i had read. But hands down one of the best hotels i have stayed at. The staff was super friendly especially the manager bryan, i believe was his name, just an all around awesome guy! The room had everything we could ask for, breakfast was delicious, especially liked that it changed from day to day. Will definitely be staying there again. You got my business.

We had an acceptable stay here. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the friendly lady on the night desk helped us with a late request. Our only complaint was the odor on the 5th floor upon exiting the elevator, which may have been caused by two uncovered plates of food left on top of the garbage cans overnight. What made it more disgusting was the fact that two housekeepers with carts were standing nearby conversing instead of taking action.
When we told the front desk, it was received well. Overall, the stay was pleasant.

This is my second time staying in this hotel. The first time was in 2009. I expected a new look after the renovation but it appers to be mostly the same. The exterior, bath room, elevator, and hallways all look new. Bedroom design is a bit old fashioned as before. (I was expecting a more modern design after renovation) This time I am staying in the king studio room which is very spacious, relatively clean for an older hotel. However I found a piece of gum from a former guest on the carpet that I cannot completely remove. Room is very quiet on the 5th floor opposite from the highway. Internet works fine, while not very fast(premier wifi), the wifi is very stable even on the top floor. Bed is okay, not the best but definitely acceptable, neither very hard nor very soft. Breakfast and dinner reception are as good as before and probably relatively good compare to similar hotels...I also like that they provide tea and coffee wholeday and the tea is brand name tazo tea not the cheaper ones. Parking is okay when the hotel is not too packed. However I dropped 1 star because the location is not the easiest to get in and out and parking is likely very difficult during peak times. Overall, not a bad hotel but it did age a bit and has its limitations. I would keep it as an option if no better alternatives. Id say it is fairly good among nearby hotels with in 5 miles, though.

Such a nice place to stay. Was here on business and ended up having a great time. Met up with a buddy from High School and really enjoyed San Antonio. The food is okay...nothing to write home about, but the facilities are really nice. If you don't care for their dinner spread, there are plenty of food options nearby including restaurants and retail stores.

Very nice and clean. Rooms are nice. The beds aren't the most comfortable I've ever slept on, but they're fine. The only really annoying thing is that all the light switches are in odd and inconvenient places.

Everything was great!! The pool was even heated! My only complaint is the complimentary wifi was too slow for me to get anything done

We stay at this brand of hotel a lot and this is one of my favorites in San Antonio...great rates, very clean (I am incredibly picky on this point), feel safe in the area, close to restaurants and grocery, quiet, comfortable rooms, easy parking, and friendly staff that will remember your name!...stay here if you get the chance...

Initial room smelled moldy, stale, and smokey. Moved to another room, within 20 mins everyone has sinus congestion. Breakfast with new items just put out were cold. Location is not easy found from street.

Nice place with good breakfast, but the room layouts are kind if weird... Towel rack over toilet, light switch outside of bathroom, etc... also the cleaning staff came into our room while we were sleeping even though we had or do not disturb sign up.

We all our kids with us and everything went well. Kitchen could have been a little bigger but was very clean and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was top notch. Had a lot of extra condiments and good food choice. Eggs were very good and waffles were perfect. Recommend highly!

The hotel was clean on both the inside and out. It was a quick check in and the staff was very nice. The room had a kitchen area with a small dining room table. The living room was a little small but had a sleeper couch, chair, and TV. The bedroom was spacious even with two queen beds, desk, and dresser. Nice vanity area seperate from restroom with plenty of closet space. They provide travel shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap. They have drinks and snacks for purchase. The breakfast was free with a wide selection, waffles; toast; muffins; bagels; both hot and cold cereal; omelet, hash browns, scrambled eggs, ham, along with juice and coffee. The lady was nice enough to let us make plates even though we showed up as it was time for breakfast to end. Check out was at 12 which allowed us time to get up, have breakfast, and relax before needing to pack. The location was convenient and only a 15 drive to the Alamo.

Love my stay here. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and felt like a home more than a hotel room. Having a kitchen compete with a stove (no oven), microwave, dishwasher, and full size refrigerator was really cool even though I didn't need it during my stay. The TV service is great with plenty of HBO options (although the TV itself was ok), and I had no problems sleeping on the king size bed. Wifi internet was free, fast, and reliable too so I could watch movies on other streaming services. Room service does their job well, and there is even a lunch/dinner menu on the desk in my room to have food delivered directly to my room at not too ridiculous prices. I haven't tried this, but there is a large variety of food to order, such as appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, and desserts.

All the other extras, such as the gym and free breakfast/dinner, were above par. Outside is a pool, half-court basketball, and some grills with tables. Parking was not a problem, but the parking lot is a little confusing to get to with the large church neighboring the hotel.

Overall this place wasn't fancy but very spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed my stay greatly and would definitely consider this hotel in the future.

The Homewood Suites have a very convenient location right near some of our favorite places (Tarka Indian Cuisine and Trader Joe's). We went for a church service being held in the conference center. Friendly staff and a clean lobby.

Rooms are in serious need of updating. The water pressure in the shower is horrendous. Only plus was the location. Next time we will pick somewhere else!

Well maintained place. Hard to get to as the entrance is hidden behind a sign for a church. Rooms a large and clean. Breakfast is pretty much like most hotel breakfasts. Little bit greesy and bland.

Absolutely one of the best hotel we've ever stayed at. The room was clean and spacious. The customer service was outstanding. Defiantly will be staying again when we come back in a couple months. The only problem was the pool was not in service since it was getting re-painted. Not that big of a deal but was the only issue.

Next time I am on the road I will look for a Homewood Suite or another Hilton hotel for lodging. This is my experience with this hotel. San Antonio was honoring a police officer killed in the line of duty. The motorcycles were staged next to this hotel. We used their bathrooms and drank their coffee. The staff were all gracious, kind and always smiling. Even though we were not paying guests and tend to look a bit rough (picture the stereotype of a bearded leather-clad biker), they treated us as guests. They made our morning easier. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
