We loved our stay at The Burrard! A lot of the reviews here are really unfair. People are nitpicking stuff like small sinks and city noise, which are ridiculous reasons for taking points away. The hotel itself has a style you won't find anywhere else. The staff was super friendly with us and helped with every question we had. The room was clean and although a bit small, still perfect for our needs (how much time do you even spend in your hotel room while on vacation?).

The patio area in the center of the hotel is beautiful and really relaxing. There isn't a bar, but you can grab your own drinks nearby and pop them at the hotel.

Parking is a bit tight, but still conveniently located downstairs.

Some people were complaining about limited bikes in the reviews, but on a Friday and Saturday there were about 15 of them available at 10am.

Bottom line: if you can appreciate the style and humor this hotel provides, you'll love it! We will definitely be back!

Man, this hotel has a crazy and unique layout that I just love. Great price, comfortable room, and super casual feel. Great place for families looking to enjoy a couple of days in Vancouver.

I love this place! The front desk staff was very welcoming and happily accommodated my need for hot tea as opposed to coffee. My room was clean, the fixtures and decor were minimal but retro-chic - a fun way to relax! I love the interior courtyard and encourage anyone staying to check it out, especially if you have kids along. It's only a 20 minute walk down Burrard to the convention center with plenty of food and fun nearby!

Spent a week here while on business. Comfy rooms and really friendly staff. The only downside is it's located a cross from a hospital. So you'll get sirens throughout the night/day. As well, the odd talking outside your window.

Good location, within walking distance to many things, including the cruise ship terminal (however I don't recommend walking there if you have all your luggage as it is up hill all the way). The hotel was clean, newly updated with nice amenites. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. Would definitely stay there again when we return to Vancouver.

Although I’ve never rented a room here this would be my hotel if choice. They have a great coffee shop serving some pastries and sandwiches.

There’s a courtyard upstairs with a ping pong table. It’s also a little hideaway to relax and enjoy a glass of wine without any city noise.

The rooms look modern and affordable and the location can’t be beat!

I’d definitely stay here again. The nespresso machine in the room is great. The bathroom was neat and clean. The bed was comfortable. Lots of storage. Perfect for a quick trip to Vancouver. Very cool building too.

The location was perfect. The rooms were clean well furnished and comfortable. The bed was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the common areas were very nice and welcoming. The room was very loud. I would highly recommend bringing earplugs but I would not let that stop me from staying at this hotel.

Florida vibes in the hotel. Rooms are clean. Very minimal. Good place to just sleep. No hotel bar. If you are on the side of the main street, you will be able to hear traffic noise. You have to request a quiet room if you don't want to that noise.

Was a decent place to stay. Comfy beds, clean sheets, location is great! Staff were friendly. Everything went well. And the price was just right for a double bed room on Burrard.

Bathrooms were kinda small and the bathroom door didnt lock or have a lock on it but thats all I really have to say negative about it

The burrard is a place, a place i know little about, but it is a place. Here it is conveniently located near various amenities. The streets nearby are bright and filled with cement. I enjoy the idea of this place and would enjoy it again

Staff that goes above and beyond!

I enjoyed the courtyard and modern dog friendly rooms so much that I booked an additional night using a third party website. Unfortunately The Burrard had already been fully booked. Despite this, the third-party site sent me a confirmation email and I canceled a booking in another area of Vancouver. Staff at the Burrard called to notify me and when I explained my predicament they found and booked me a comparable room in a nearby hotel that was dog friendly, included parking, and was an identical rate (extremely reasonable).

While I would have loved to stay at The Burrard for a second night, the accountability showed by hotel staff blew me away. I would not hesitate to recommend or book this hotel again!

The hotel is conveniently located in between downtown and Daveys village. About a ten minute walk to everything, and a ten minute bike ride to Stanley Park. The hotel offers free bike rentals too. There's a gym and a lounge area. Decor is quite retro. It's a lovely little hotel, definitely worth the price.

This was a great little hotel right in the middle of Vancouver. It was the perfect location. We were able to walk to yaletown, gastown, and downtown for food and shopping. While the rooms were small the beds were very comfy and the linens were amazing. I'm so glad we found this gem.

Nice and clean hotel in a good location for a reasonable price. Surprising and nice open courtyard. But I do not appreciate some of the art in the lobby which was not appropriate for families / children.

Loved the location, the design, the service. As to noise I had a room facing Burrard Street on the 3rd floor and didn't notice any noise at all. But I'm a city girl so... As for size of rooms - well the Burrard is about your only option under $300 a night so I'm fine with a king size bed and a compact room and bath. Great value for the money.

Extremely clean. Very comfortable. The best hotel pillows I've ever used. The courtyard is gorgeous. There is a ton of quirky decorations. It's loud at night, but that can't be helped given the location.

This is a great place to stay when visiting CL Vancouver. The hotel. Itself is pretty standard and small but what sets it apart is the ammeniti 's and best quality service. Everyone is nice and helpful here. They have bicycles for free if you are a guest which makes checking out Yaletown, Stanley Park, and Gastown really convenient. Definitely recommend staying here!!

Didn't stay here but visited a friend who did. Very trendy and modern place. The rooms are on the smaller side but they furnish them very well. They have was similar to a roof top patio in the middle of the hotel, fireplace and chairs all around. Really nice to relax in

The rooms are a little small, how ever I found it to be cozy. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have Johnny bench size hands you will have trouble with the bathroom sink as it's a little small for someone with large hands. My number one complaint is that you can't fully close the curtains to darken the room. Also some of the taps and fixtures in the room were loose. The shower does get hot and I enjoyed the in room coffee. The bed was comfortable. I was on the third floor and had little to no road noise.

Had an exceptional stay here. Staff are friendly and helpful. The retro theme is adorable. Clean rooms. Great location. I very much enjoyed the free bicycle rentals and complimentary use of umbrellas! Also their attached cafe makes lovely lattes. Overall an awesome experience.

Positive:
The Bhrrard has put in a lot of effort to keep up its appearance. The retro look works very well for it and the pictures deliver on the reality. It's not crusty like a Best Western and is very welcoming to all kinds of guests. At least during events, the seems to be a doorman/bouncer who keeps non-guests in check.

Negative: Guest parking is minimal but they suggest parking across the street at the hospital until a spot frees up (hospital parking is $9 less than the hotel so we just kept the car there instead.
Upon arriving, the front desk concierges weren't the most friendly and when trying to solve a problem, they were helpful but very grudgingly so.
