Staff were amazing and overall vibe of the hotel was insane. The rooms are incredible, views are out of this world. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Barcelona!

My favourite place to stay in Barcelona. Amazing facilities, beautiful views of the city and ocean. The food is good as well. They have several restaurants which all provide a different experience. You can hang out poolside or head to the beach. No need to even leave the hotel. Very good management team and Concierge.

Would have given a 5 start just for the view. But being the most expensive hotel I ever stayed at, that's expected. The toilet however (we had the fabulous sky room on 21st floor) feels almost as if it was inside the room itself. The door to the toilet couldn't be properly closed and there was no exhaust fan or ventilation.

Other than that, everything was perfect.

Out of her entire three week trip to Barcelona, the W hotel was our most favorite hotel amongst all of her status. He was conveniently located right in the heart of Spain and had every available amenity possible. The best part about this entire hotel is the view! You can see right across Barcelona and the nearby beach is absolutely beautiful. Just try to avoid going on weekends as it can be very busy with locals. There’s also a bar/lounge at the top floor of the W Hotel which is very beautiful and serves excellent drinks as you can tell from some of my photos. Trust me, they tasted just as good as they look and we will definitely be coming back to the hotel the next time we come to visit Spain!

Amazing hotel with great service and excellent facilities. The rooms are well designed and comfortable. Beds are comfy and although some might find them too soft. Room service was very quick and the food was also great. There is a well equipped gym that likely has everything one could need to satisfy their needs. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are Just about what you'd expect from a hotel like this.

op Hotel in Barcelona ideal in the summer. It has 2 nice pools and is right on beach with nice facilities and killer views. Outside of summer I might suggest a different hotel in the city or close to a metro.

The only downside is the area is not near the metro and is a 10-15 minute taxi ride to almost any of the other desirable places in Barcelona. Also, if you want a beach view you need to book very carefully.

This place is live and party centered. It has a demographic age range of about 20 - 40, and everyone is thrilled to be there. There is nice pool with great views, and a bar both inside and out. Night life here is extremely fun. The hotel rooms are fancy and I recommend either staying on floors 1 - 4 or the upper tiers of 15+. Been in both rooms and accommodations are next to none.

Its a cool hotel...perhaps too cool for me. The staff are brilliant and are better than most places i have visited.
The dj playing in the bar and the loud background music is too much for me.
Hard to find a quiet place for a drink or chat with friends.
Im sure they know whats best just a bit to much for me.
Room service etc... is great

The legendary W Barcelona offers top of the line hospitality. Rooms are large and inviting compared to other 5-star establishments. The view is absolutely amazing, doesn't matter in which direction.
Only drawback, and you'll see this with all Ws, are the type of party clientele who share the entrance lobby with normal guests as they queue to visit the night club at the top.
Overall great hotel a bit off the centre of Barcelona, but pricey.

I’ll start by saying that I’ve stayed at this hotel three to four times and it has always consistently impressed. The views from the hotel speak for themselves. The pools are fantastic and offer music later in the evenings. Really enjoyed the messenger / Whatapp number that allows you easy contact with the hotel staff from anywhere in Barcelona. Gym is also massive.
I must give a special shout out to the outdoor staff at the Wet Bar by the main pool. They have consistently made every one of our trips amazing. Alfonzo in particular has taken excellent care of us at the pool and is a huge reason we come back year after year.

The W, is set in prime position and certainly strives to be the best hotel in all of Barcelona! Although for a 5 star hotel it's not as polished around the edges as some might expect. On peak days outside in the sun, the drinks service is beyond dismal. Overall the hotel is obviously trying it's best to save every penny (as a good business should do) however not at the expense of customer experience! All in all, still a fabulous location and worth a look in if you're visiting Barcelona!

I have just been to the bar. Cocktail was too strong. We could hardly drink it. The music and the ambience was really good and our waiter brought the bill before we asked for and even before we finished 50% of our meal. He just wanted us to pay and leave. Did not even ask if we want to order more.

One of my favorite places in Barcelona. The music is good - we had rnb night.
I would recommend getting a booth. You can sit down when tired but also away from the busy crowd in front of DJ.
Can be pricey to get one but worth it especially if you are in a group as well then works out cheaper.

Taxi is a little hard to get at night though and no one really around to help so worth either waiting right until the end when taxi is around or booking one before hand.

We stayed here for 5 nights during our time in Barcelona. We were contemplating between Arts and W but we were glad we to go with Arts, the location was awesome. There's a Hop On Hop Off stop was right in front of the hotel, which makes travelling around alot easier. Walking distance to beaches, bars and clubs. We were able to go to the beach during the day, go back to hotel freshen up. Venture into the city, back to hotel relax and go out for the evening - makes things very convenient. Their spa at the top beautiful, very relaxing experience over looking the beaches.

The hotel is certainly impressive from the outside, the interior decor and every room I visited had been thought about in a nice and stylish way.

We shared small bites and drinks (average pricey cost as with all the beach side) in the lounge as we were refused entry to the eclipse bar because we had shorts on (they were tailored and smart but only woman are allowed to bear flesh apparently). This was after waiting twenty minutes in the queue that a staff member had put us in!

Not to be undone we returned the next night full legs covered and this time was allowed to enter. The view was great but the bar nothing special. I will add the ladies looking after us were great. Looking around the bar any clothing goes just as long as the men don’t show their legs. (I think my legs are quite inoffensive and certainly in Spain you’d think that wasn’t a rule that was needed).

My and it is only my view is that someone has built a beautiful hotel, filled it with great decor, made a cool vibe but the staff are struggling to match the standards set.

I would still suggest you visit but lower your expectations of the type of experience you expect and then hopefully you won’t be disappointed. Oh and lads don’t forget your trousers!

This is a fantastic hotel. All of the amenities you would want are present here. Pool, gym, nightclub, restaurants are all on the property. There really isn't much to criticize... Maybe it would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room but that's about it!

Me and my wife had an excellent time hope to see you all again soon. If you can get a view to the ocean its worth every penny. Spa was very nice roof top bar is also a good place to chill. Beds are nice staff is very helpful

This Hotel is simply AMAZING! Staff is super warm and friendly,room cozy and comfy with the most spectacular view. Indoor pool and spa was great,breakfast was soo good! I enjoyed hanging out at the bar having drinks and enjoying the music (chicken tenders taste SO good). Loved the beach literally 20 seconds away. Everything was Perfect

This is the second time I’ve visited Barcelona, I absolutely loved it! I visited with my partner for a night stay and ended up going to the nightclub on the top floor! If you are looking for a versatile night with people from many walks of life, this would be the ideal night. It was also really good to be aware of the W hotel, definitely gave us reassurance that we were safe! Forgot to mention the steak and cocktails within the restaurant were to die for!!!

Had drinks in the top floor bar. It was a bit small and not really my type of atmosphere. Views were amazing and cocktails were great although pricey! Only stayed for one drink. Bit of novelty bar. I was most impressed with the speed of the lift!

Super cool hotel with a few issues; namely, a faulty shower (no hot water, but promptly fixed). Slow service in the the W Lounge bar (I died of thirst - twice).
Furthermore some areas are a little shabby and looking tired (in February).
That said, I'd definitely come back, the positives, such as the Wow! switch, the amazing view from the room (bed), and the 'Whatever/Whenever' service easily outweigh the negatives.
The W Hotel in Barcelona could and should have a 5 star rating, with a little more TLC it will achieve it.

It's a luxury hotel with very funky bar and coffee shop. The music that played was great, with a live artist performing on Saturday night. We chilled till about 4 am there. The restaurant on 1st floor had great wine, but limited main course options for vegetarian. The tapas was great though. And the deserts were really nice!
