Had a short trip to Melbourne and this place was perfect for it. Really clean rooms and helpful and friendly staff. Location was amazing close to pretty much everything. Would definitely stay again as prices were too good to pass up!

I have stayed at this hotel a few times. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and quiet. I have been able to check in early on all occasions which makes this a preferred accommodation in Melbourne. Close to Spring Street station (about 5 minute walk) and not far from Etihad Stadium. Great breakfast bar where the food was fresh and plentiful.

Stayed in one of the Queen bed rooms. Staff were tentative and courteous. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Didn't try the breakfast but the cost was notably good.

Perfect place to stay if you're coming in from the airport not the most centrally located place but easy enough to get everywhere and in the free tram zone. Room for comfortable in clean would stay again.

4 star hotel fairly close to Convention Centre if attending conference or event and not needing a room to be in all day. Heated indoor pool, dry sauna and well equipped gym. Plenty of restaurants and Melbourne DFO nearby. Very clean rooms, friendly staff.

Check in was seamless and at the time we wanted. The breakfast is quite good. The room is minimal and to the point for the price. I love it here.

Clean room and friendly service. Did try out the gym and pool which was ok, also have a sauna which would have been nicer if we could turn it up warmer. Gym equipment definitely could be improved.

Was great, exactly as expected, clean and tidy, we stayed for a week ... nice pool downstairs, facilities to use computers which my partner needed to to complete a job application test hat came up while we were away. Reasonable price, comfy bed, decent sized room and bathroom with a spacious open shower. Even the massive construction work directly across the road didn't bother us, being right in the middle of town with traffic etc. The building must have good acoustic insulation as we didn't have any issues with noise etc or anything!

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

Great, clean hotel with good sized room. We paid for a room with no windows but ended up on the 11th floor with a window! The view was of the construction site across the street, thankfully the noise was minimal. Comfy bed with modern, clean bathroom. Reception staff are polite, courteous and professional. The continental buffet breakfast was suffice, pretty good scrambled eggs. Hotel in a great location, just up the street from the airport shuttle bus stop, many shops and restaurants nearby. Would definitely come back next time we're in Melbourne. Thanks for the quiet, comfy, stress free stay.

Convenient walk from Southern Cross station. A quiet hotel, clean and relaxing. Downsides are that the toiletries they provide are minimal. You only get shampoo, hair conditioner and bar soap.

I needed a bed for the night without paying the earth for it and this has place ticked the box. Comfy bed. Midweek price of $100 was good value compared to everything else in the city.

A very functional hotel with larger rooms that suffers from being far from the tourist center and at the very edge of the business center. This somewhat remote location keeps the prices of the rooms more affordable than elsewhere in central Melbourne. If your work is in that neighborhood, it is worth staying there. If you are on vacation, choose a hotel that is a little more central. The rooms are decent and the hotel is reasonably well maintained, but the service is impersonal and the whole place looks and feels too corporate like. For many, these features make the place more attractive. Your call!

Unbeatable location, directly across from the skybus terminal. staff have all been really friendly on both my stays here, and our room was even ready early on the second stay so they let us up. I travel to Melbourne every 3-4 months, I think I’ll be coming here from now on. And so cheap! Around $100 a night. Added bonus is the seemingly recent bathroom renovations, very nice. Air con isn’t noisy either.

This was our first stay at the Atlantis and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The front desk was very friendly and the staff were especially accommodating and courteous; they truly made us feel welcome and we genuinely felt that the owners cared about our overall experience and were accommodating to our needs. They were happy to get to know my son and I personally, and I found them very easy to talk to.

The hotel itself is perfectly situated within walking distance to Southern Cross station and several supermarkets, with easy access to trams and local eateries; everything you could possibly want is within reach. It boasts clean and plentiful amenities, including a sufficiently equipped gym and a wonderful indoor pool, which I greatly enjoyed.

The rooms themselves are spacious and immaculate, with a generous shower and spotless bathroom. The toiletries supplied were sumptuous and staff were quick to replenish fresh towels as we needed them. Breakfast is buffet styled; fresh and plentiful, with something for everyone.

Overall our stay was a memorable one, especially thanks to the amazing staff. The hotel went above and beyond nearby competitors; the cost is incredibly reasonable, considering its prime location and the service provided. A big thank you again to the owners for making us feel at home; we were so sad to leave, but we will definitely be returning soon and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in the CBD.

Perfectly good hotel with friendly staff and well situated just a few minutes walk from the railway station (and airport skybus terminal). The hotel also has a swimming pool, however there is no bar or room minibar. Only real criticism is a poor breakfast menu. Scrambled eggs, beans, toast and cereals is all the food on offer.

For a 4 star hotel I had a 5 star experience!
Reception staff were accommodating and friendly. Stored my luggage prior to check in which freed me up to explore the CBD.
Room was basic but very clean and very comfy bed. Small bathroom with a large shower. Continental breakfast was excellent value for money at $12 per head. Didn't expect scrambled eggs and beans as part of that.
I will definitely stay again as the location is very close to southern cross station.

Very convenient location, easy to get around with free tram and loads of good restaurant in walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the reception runs 24hrs so no need to worry about late check in. Parking takes extra $20 but you get to keep the car until 4pm next afternoon. Bed is amazing, very comfortable indeed. We stayed in the city view room however the view isn't as nice as their photo shows. All in all it's still a good place to stay, we are happy :)

Room was a tad expensive on NYE, but apart from that the facilities were fantastic. Room was spotless, bed was nice, bathroom was well cleaned and a nice shower set up too. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quality room for a night out, that doesn't carry a hefty price tag on normal trading days

I kind of grappled with giving this either 2 or 3 stars.... this is the kind of place hat looks way better on the website photos than it is in real life. Like a disappointing Tinder date. the pool was too frigid for any meaningful amount of activity.... the sauna was “out of serivice”... (paper sign taped to the outside) which tells me that the management is super lackadaisical when it comes to maintaining key features. we paid to stay in a hotel with a pool and a sauna and got the benefits of neither. All things considered, they’re either too lazy to maintain the sauna, or too cheap to call a technician to fix it in a timely manner... or they can’t be bothered to turn it on, so they slap a sign on it and hope no one will complain.

In our room (1718) the inside of our fridge reeks strongly of sour spoilt milk, which is adding a gross odour and taste to the fresh fruit we put in there. This is not a four star hotel by any stretch of the imagination.

Nice rooms and friendly staff. A few little issues but nothing too major. Bathroom grout could have been cleaned better as it was really dirty on the floor. The shower itself was clean and the bathroom really clean. Overall not a bad place for the price.

Room was clean and tidy, the only gripe with cleanliness was the vent in the bathroom was full of dust/dirt. Value for money for the area it is in. Advertised as a "city view" room but not much of the city was viewable out the window. Definitely worth staying at if you have something on in the city.

7

Although the room was a little small and older than I expected, it was well maintained and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Best part I think was the location, still with easy reach of everything the city offers while being just that little bit quieter. Also having access to the free tram area with stops right outside the hotel made getting around super easy and convenient.

5

The staff are lovely, but the hotel has gone down hill since the last time I visited. There is so much dust in the vent above the shower that I could steal the genetic data and produce an army of clones 1000 strong. There was a used q-tip next to the fridge, dried on coffee in the tea/coffee holder, and the desk had to be wiped again. On a side note, is the Atlantis still a Best Western, or is it just using the stationary?

Staff were excellent. Polite, respectful and friendly. With reception open 24hrs, I could check out in the morning, store my bags and collect several hours later, after the football. Beds and pillows were a little soft and sleep was a little interrupted but OK. Breakfast was exactly as described. Awesome as it was included for free in my deal but would not be worth the money that they normally charge. For the same deal I would definitely stay there again.

Good for staying in the city and close to the airport transfer hub at Southern Cross Station, Melbourne's tram system make getting around the city very easy. The Atlantis hotel has a team stop out the front. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The shower and toilet facilities were adequate. We stayed for one night (seeing a show at the princess theatre) with an early flight out the next morning; the location made getting back to airport so easy. The continental breakfast was OK, not great, but is cheap at $12 per person. Could do with some bacon or sausages to make it more attractive. Staff were really friendly and helpful, no complaints there. Would recommend for ease of access to the airport connection lines.

Hotel was very cheap and isn't a bad place to stay. You get 12 hours free low speed WiFi and have to pay for any more. It's quite expensive. Had to continue asking for more towels as there is no where to hang up the ones you've used in the bathroom. But it is cheap and rooms are tidy and it's in a good location.

I would not book this Hotel again. The staff weren't very friendly on the phone or when we arrived.
It took 3 emails to finally get a confirmation stating "Breakfast included" only to be told when I was paying that breakfast was not included. After explaining about the 3 mails it was resolved quickly.
When I paid I didn't get a receipt I had to request one when I was leaving. Both receptionist were very sour, no smiling zone! not very friendly or welcoming..
The room was stark and decor bland, not a nice ambience to the room. No showercap,no bodylotion
and now where to hang your wet towel. Minimum amount of milk and no biscuits!. coffee was bitter. There was no top sheet on the bed quilt cover was top sheet and blanket combined ..odd!. When we asked at reception we were told there was extra blankets despite 2 single beds there was only 1 spare blanket.Breakfast was minimalistic 1 apple was the fruit, hot water and coffee was in an Urn not plugged in, so was not hot enough. Same everyday sloppy scambled egg and mushy baked beans and they were not hot enough. Not nice. No bacon, hashbrowns or grilled tomato. No Gluten Free Cereal or bread which made it very minimalistic for me. Toaster was on high heat, most people got black raison toast and overdone toast didn't seem to occur to the staff to reduce the heat so I did it myself. Staff weren't very welcoming never smiling in the morning.Disappointing.
The up side good location opposite DFO,cafes, pub and restaurants. 15min walk from Station and Skybus with a heavy case and intersections to cross (not 5mins as we were told) but convenient for skybus and trains. Too many other choices in Melbourne I would try first before this one again .!!
Management please take heed as I've just read similar reviews, especially about the breakfast it needs improving!! and staff training on customer service would be excellent!!.Thank you
