Property's Green Action

To protect the environment, we are reducing water use, energy consumption and recycling waste with the goal of limiting our carbon footprint. We integrate sustainable development into our operating procedures, contribute to preserve local communities and the natural ecosystems in which our hotel is located. With all sister hotels, we have already planted three million trees as part of a global reforestation project supported by the United Nations. The last but not the least, we engage our partners and suppliers in their sustainable development strategy and integrate them into the responsibility chain.

Certifications

Planet 21 Bronze

AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:

- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons

- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food

Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues

A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

Great hotel. Little issue with the mass notification speaker clicking in the middle of the night but other than that, great rooms, great staff, good restaurant and great breakfast spread. The location isn't bad but you could find something closer to old Town if you wanted but I'm sure you'll pay for it. This hotel was definitely worth it but I would call and ask about the speaker issue.

It's another short stay in Poznań and I had no doubts to pick this hotel. It's in a very convenient distance to the train station, the city center and the places I visited. The stuff is very friendly. So friendly that when I mentioned that I remember the women at the reception desk fairly well and she's been working here for quite a long time she immediately offered me a room of a higher standard! The restaurant is open till midnight which is also worth noting. The room was spacious. The window curtains shaded it well (so you can sleep longer in the morning) and the WiFi worked perfectly. The only downside is that I prefer a shower (not a bathtub) and the head of the shower in the bathtub was not working well (water could not have get through). Breakfast has always been at higher level (and I wished I'd had more time for a longer one). I didn't use the gym and sauna but they looked great and am going to give them a shot next time. The ironing room was at the floor 1 and was exactly to my needs. Enjoyed my stay in the hotel. (except the bathtub). Thumbs up!

To Western standards the room rates are very very reasonable.
Basic room, offering all you'd expect from a Mercure hotel room.

Ironing facilities and gym on dedicated floor.

Key misser: lak of power plug naar to the bed. This means you can't charge your phone next to the bed.

In addition to this the shower facilities are slightly dated, shower head that should have been replaced a year ago (see photo), and shower door that clearly had seen better days. (See photo 2)

I've been here, in the Mercure Poznań Centrum, many times already, since I discovered my love to Poland, the country, the culture, the food, and not to forget, the people. Every time my stay in this hotel was truly a treat. A little while back it happened that I was treated with something special: the Traveller Room. This room is lovely decorated with photographies, pillows, mugs, wall tattoos, and even books from, around and about Poznań. And also, which makes it particularly special, three bottles of beer from the local Fortuna brewery (Czarne, Wiśniowa, Miodowe)... delicious! Definitely something not to miss out! Talking about the books, one of the jewels among them is undoubtedly "okiem przybysza" by Erik Witsoe, an US-American photographer, living in Poland since many, many years already. This book is his Hommage to the city that has been home to him for such a long time already. It is filled with his beautiful and breathtaking pictures, so that your discovery of Poznań already starts with your arrival in the Traveller Room.
So, when you're planning your trip to Poznań, make sure to not only take the Mercure Centrum into consideration, but also to ask for the Traveller Room. And even if you shouldn't be so lucky to be able to spend your nights in this particular room, all other rooms and the warm-hearted staff will make you feel welcome and like home (well, I hope you love your home, of course :-)). Same goes for the hotel's own Winestone Restaurant and the staff there. You'll love it!

My opinion about the hotel is divided. Half the staff is very polite and gentle, the other half rude and I always have the feeling I should apologize for my presence.
Rooms are large, but should undergo renovation within the next couple of years.
The cardio equipment in the fitness area is from the seventies. You can't even use the dread mill without risking to fall off, as the rubber belt stops instantly with every step. And that is true for both machines.

It is a good place to stay if you are on a business trip, I am staying for 2 months. The spa is nice and the staff are friendly, the room is good and has a bath. The gym could do with an update and the breakfast could be better but it's ok. There is a nice bakery beside the hotel and also a restaurant and they are both good. The location is central and right beside the trams, 15 minute walk to city centre.

Great location a 7 min walk from the main station in Poznań. Large, comfortable rooms with good free WiFi. Gym & sauna are free for guests to help you relax after a long day. A good restaurant & bar in the hotel offer good food at a fair price. Would definitely stay again.

Great location with bikes and train station nearby. Starbucks is a walking distance from the hotel and many attractions can also be seen by foot. Service was great however rooms were outdated and breakfast was served in meeting room. Other than that, it was a great stay

7

Stayed for long weekend with 12 colleagues, all would agree with the below.

Great location - ten minutes leisurely stroll to anywhere central. Staff are fantastic, friendly and multi-lingual. Special mention for the daily cleaning staff. Impeccable. The rooms are really comfortable and spacious, pet friendly with good shower and 24/7 access to a very decent sauna and gym. Only loses a star because you can't choose halves in the ratings as the drinks in the bar are obscenely priced compared to local prices and no steam room/dipping pool. But then maybe I'm just one of those nitpicky people.

Well placed for both the conference centre and the delightful old town of Poznan. Very clean and comfortable with very helpful and friendly staff, my husband and I have enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast is good and the all-day cafe and bar ideal for a quick lunch or snack.
