Great room with plenty of space for a family of 4. Layout is near perfect with the restroom separate from the family room. This allowed us to keep our 7 month old child next to the room partition and still allow the restroom to be used without disturbing her through the night. The only minor complaint was the breakfast not having many options like other places I've visited. Hampton does breakfast right and should be model for any hotel.

Pet friendly. Great customer service. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice clean rooms. Small bathroom. No microwave in room. Microwave in lobby only. Located in a nice, quiet location, but still close to shopping and restaurants.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good and is very easy to get to off the highway. The breakfast was exceptionally good for a free hotel breakfast. Most of the room was great and ours was broken off into a office/sitting area and bedroom/bathroom area. We got a handicap room and I would not recommend this room unless you are handicapped. The shower is a mounted handheld unit that is likely necessary for a handicapped individual but is not convenient otherwise. The toilet and shower are in the same room with no division so as soon as you use the shower you can no longer use the toilet unless you are wearing shoes because the entire bathroom floor is now wet.

This hotel is very nice. But we had a group of girls softball teams staying. Because of weather conditions we didn't know if we needed to stay one more night or not. We did not get the decision for playing until 1 PM. We and several others had to check out before 12. The front desk said sorry but it is policy. I personally think that this was not very good business. And we will never stay or recommend any of groups to stay at this hotel again. It's very difficult to pack up all of our stuff and check out then check back in a hour later. In the future I think when you have a large group of people you can please be more coropitive.

We stayed during the Holland tulip fest. Lots of kids in for ball tourneys too. Didn't hear any noise, which was good. Staff was fast and friendly. Room was great. Don't know if all rooms are like this, but ours had a "living area" with a couch, which made it nice for sitting and reading or watching tv. Great location as it is close to major north/south and east/west highways.

Excellent customer care. Clean facility throughout. Check in was a note worthy delight Stephanie was not only friendly, but she was so attentive she could finish my sentences and answer questions before I finished asking. The whole facility is clean. An odd side note the carpets in the hall are so nice to walk on, and a sure contributor to the fact that I don't recall much noise from the hallways. The gym was excellent and convienently open 24 hrs. Sadly there is no hot tub. The rooms are the usual well designed comfortable Hyatt, but the bathroom was so small it is difficult to get around the door even for the kids. P.S. I recommend investment in a waffle maker.

Absolutely love staying at this hotel when I am in town. I have been there 3 times and each time was the same as before it. Clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The food is as good as it gets for hotel food but it still is delicious. The host's that I deal with are always respectful and courteous. I highly recommend the Hyatt Place as a place to book a hotel.

Very nice clean place. The breakfast was okay. My only disappointment was the pool area was not very warm and there was no hot tub. Otherwise, loved it.

We stayed here this past weekend from out of town. The employees were very generous. Very quaint quiet hotel with a pretty nice view from the 3rd floor. The bed was comfy and the room also had a nice couch to lounge on. The shower doors are kinda weird though lol. Nice workout room. The pool is a little smaller than we thought. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The decor is contemporary. The room was very clean and well appointed. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny. You can barely walk in and shut the door. The shower is out of this world. Large and luxurious with multiple spray options. I loved the late night snack options and the bar. I highly recommend this hotel.

March 3rd Saturday night manager was awesome! She changed my room with no hassle..very professional and courteous! Would come back just because of her. Very impressive.. wish I would of asked her name.

Beds are comfortable and rooms are big. I always speak highly of hotels that have good mirrors, as well. 👌 The location is decent... Near a ton of food options (and a Starbucks). Ten minutes away from a large Target. The only thing I was unhappy with was how paper-thin the walls were. I thought someone was trying to get into my room at one point, but realized it was the next room. I could also hear them turning on their light which was wall-mounted. That is the only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars.

The rooms are big and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend it.

The stay was mostly fine except I stayed in a handicap accessible room and the bathroom was floored entirely with tile with no real enclosure for the shower and the entire room was freezing cold being winter you could feel the cold from outside coming in every time I needed to use the bathroom I'd have to put towels down on the floor and sit in a cold room to use the bathroom no heat of any kind to heat the bathroom. Also the lobby had a kerosene heater and other small heaters around front desk. There should be a better source of heat for the entire hotel for winter time.

Staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean and nicely updated. For the price I was very happy. No complaints here.

Stayed here for a family wedding. Nice spacious rooms to spread out and prep for wedding. Several family members could come and gather together in your room. Breakfast was great. They had a little trouble keeping up with providing plates for the crowd but lots of yummy options. Front desk is a more casual atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating service. Was able to hang out and linger with my extended family over breakfast and coffee both mornings.

Nice hotel at a convenient location right off the freeway. Updated and stylish entry/reception and waiting area. Conference rooms are in excellent shape. Breakfast buffet is one to look forward to.

The room was huge, especially for the price we paid. Very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were all really polite and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. They had a pretty decent spread. I def plan on staying here again.

Great location, easy to get to. Informal restaurant/bar off of the lobby has good selection and good service. Have stayed multiple times, staff is always friendly, pool/fitness area is well-maintained, all in all a good choice.

We have stayed here three times now and have always had a pleasant experience. Rooms were always very clean and the staff is welcoming and friendly. We take our dogs with us when we travel most of the time, and we really love how dog friendly they are. Continental breakfast is also wonderful here.

Hotel is clean. Beds are nice. No microwave in room and we were told we would be getting a different size room. As a family with multiple dietary restrictions I have to travel with my own food. Trying to heat up food for 5 people and take it back and forth between the only microwave (located downstairs by the lobby) was very difficult and time consuming. We called before our arrival to be sure we would have two queen beds and a pull out sofa. When we arrived they said they had no record of that and gave us a king bed and pull out sofa. 2 adults and 3 kids. We were not comfortable.

Very disappointed with the hotel. We arrived at a little after 4 pm only to be told by a very rude and condescending clerk that the room wasn't ready and we weren't guaranteed the 3 pm check in time for the room I booked. She did offer another room, but did so begrudgingly. The room was nice but the coffee pot didn't work. It took the hotel 25-30 minutes to bring us one that worked. The breakfast was adequate. Good location- quiet and easy to get to the highway.

Not very central, but very easy to get into the city, just off the freeway. Huge room, 2 queen beds plus a sectional sleeper. Very good size for a family. Lots of hot and cold options for breakfast. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel recently with my husband and it was just PERFECT! It was beautiful and quiet. The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. We live about 10 minutes from this hotel, but certainly will use this hotel often as a getaway from kids. What a perfectly calm and relaxing setting. The layout of the rooms was the most exciting to me. It was very different than the norm. The use of space was brilliant and comfortable. Great Job, Hyatt South!! I will definitely be back and I will be having all family stay here when in town for holidays. LOVE IT! THANK YOU!

I stayed at this hotel two nights. I gave it 5 stars the first night. On day 2 early in the AM a strong storm struck Western Michigan and knocked out power to the area. By late morning some power was restored to the hotel and staff was forced to offer either rooms with air conditioning or rooms with lights with little hope for full power for 2 days. My original room had lights but no AC. The staff found me and my family a room with AC and a working TV. The staff was amazing and positive throughout a trying situation and I would give them a 10 star rating if possible. My family thanks Hyatt Place Grand Rapids South for an excellent stay even when circumstances were difficult.

Room was AMAZING. Way better than holiday inn and the like. Breakfast was... Average to slightly above average. The biggest disappointment was the $10 pizza that was super small, other than that, it was great.

Went here on a week long trip for work and was highly satisfied. The staff was welcoming, polite, accommodating, and friendly. The food was a much better quality than I had expected from a hotel. The room was amazing and the cleaning staff cleaned the room every day. The view wasn't that great because it's just expressway on one side and businesses on the other. I'm a night shifter so I would prefer darker blinds. But other than that it's a great hotel and I will most certainly request to go here on my next training assignment for work or if I take a trip to this side of the state!

Rooms were comfortable and had plenty of space. However, one the phone with reservations I had requested a certain type of room and they confirmed they could do that and when I checked in apparently the hotel doesn't have that type of room. Also we had ordered multiple rooms with our card and asked that all be charged to that card as they were speakers for a show we were hosting in town. To our surprise come Monday our guests told us they were charged not us. Upon calling the hotel to correct the problem, the "manager" was rude saying it is the law they can't do that. I argue as we do this around the country nearly every weekend! Then the call was followed up as she cannot assist me now as she is the only employee there and has to tend to other guests. I had a fantastic experience at a Hyatt in Salt Lake that is why we booked this hotel. I have a feeling we will not return due to obviously not having proper training and customer service procedures in place.

It's a nice hotel that's been recently renovated. Good service at the concierge and all the little touches that come with the World of Hyatt experience. One small bugbear was not having our room cleaned one night but I'm sure it was an oversight.

Styling/decor was new and modern. Bar was busy and there were lots of people hanging out in the lobby which was good to see. The room seemed to have thin walls, I could hear people very clearly in the next room over and the hallway. The wifi needs to be better. No client isolation, which means I could scan and ping other phones laptops tablets etc so have your firewall turned on for sure. Random spikes in network latency made it impossible to stream any movies for more than 10 minutes before buffering, even setting it to the lowest quality. Our TV's entertainment system couldn't connect, so no cable movies either. Tried to dial 0 and phone didn't work. Overall it was a good place to sleep but the various bits of technology seemed like an unsupported afterthought.

Loved my stay at this Hyatt. Rooms are a great size and always very clean. Breakfast was a little slammed, but they got food out fast enough that it wasn't terribly bad.

The room was very nice but a little small. Large flat screen tv that swiveled to be able to see from the couch or in bed. Very comfortable, large bed. The walk in shower was gorgeous, but I didn't like that the only light in that part of the bathroom was the fan with a light that was a little dim. But the ladies at the front desk were awesome and very accommodating when we rang down for more pillows. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is very nice. The staff is very friendly. My only complaint would be that we could hear a dryer running all night. So I assume we were near the laundry roon.

This was a basic no-frills hotel. That is what we wanted-basically a place to sleep. Clean, well maintained and quiet. I just don't understand why those basic criteria need to cost so much! We stay at hotels A LOT and I get annoyed if I have to pay over $100 a night. This was $148. Just too much for no-frills.

Loved this hotel! I travel quite often for business and this place was perfect. The rooms were quiet and clean room, and the staff was extremely courteous.

Overall stay was good. However I got the cot we room and it happened to be next to the bavk parking lot. Since it was snowing overnight I was awoken by the sound of the snow plow doing its work at 5:30 am and it went on for about 1hr. Other than that it was a good stay.

The hotel is nice and centrally located. They are in the process of upgrading so the smell of new carpet being installed kind of sucked. The indoor pool is heated which is a plus and the beds were comfortable. Having a separate sitting area, desk and fridge were great ads as I stayed 4 nights.

Nice and clean hotel. But the front desk needs more training. And work in costumer service i stay there for one night (January 7 ) and the girl at the front desk was rude and dont make any kind of eye contact or smile. (Megan )

A wonderful hotel with an incredibly helpful staff. The room was prepared beautifully and was very clean. I will definitely visit there again in the future.

The hotel room was very clean and much larger than we expected. Its located 10 minutes away from downtown which was perfect for us. We only stopped for one night since we were just driving through town but we will definitely stay there again for our next road trip out that direction.

My parents stayed here while the were visiting me and my husband. The room was nice l and spacious. There are a lot of amenities close by like restaurants, starbucks, and shops. The lobby was nice and there were a few small groups of people hanging out in the bar/lobby. Seemed to be a very nice place to stay.

Clean & friendly. Rates are reasonable. Pool area is clean. Pool is colder than expected and smells like salt water, just the way they do it... Better than chemicals. Mattress was very uncomfortable. To the point of driving to Meijer to buy memory foam. Other than that, great location.

High quality furnishings and accomodations. My only gripe is that one of tue beds creaked.

Have stayed here a few times and loved everyone of our stays. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. They have nice amenities available including food and drink at their little cafe in the lobby area. The stay also includes complimentary breakfast that in my opinion is as good to slightly better than what is offered by the chains offering breakfast. The staff is always friendly, inviting and helpful as well.

Great, great hotel. Excellent staff. The rooms were a little cold when walking in, but that's easy to fix and better than having them too hot. I thought the highway might be noisy, but I barely heard it. The rooms were well decorated and comfortable. Overall, a great experience.

Service was adequate. Reservations were canceled on arrival, and when resolved the amount of nigh5s booked was input incorrect and had to go through the booking process all over again .

Have stayed at this particular hotel several times in the past, and always choose Hyatt Place in other cities when traveling on business or with family. Came up late last night (after 11:00 p.m.) and left @ 5:30 a.m. for an emergency surgery. Have never paid more than $114 (plus State/Occupancy/Local Tax.....still not sure what Occupancy Tax covers) at any Hyatt Place. Was charged $139 plus/plus ($159.85 out the door). I don't have a calculator handy, but that's over $25 per hour. Apparently, when a hotel is booked near capacity, rewards card, Triple A, or any other discounts don't apply. Am guessing profit, or yield, margins are more important than taking care of a repeat client........and I wasn't even in their system as such. Other than that, and the fact that they only had Decaf in the room (had to pay for regular coffee in the lobby because of), everything else was fine......even stayed in the same room that I had 15 months ago.

Still, a very nice hotel, just have a beef with the fact that maximizing profit/margins are more important that repeat business.........whatever happened to the days of Conrad Hilton?
