Our travel company recommended Six Senses Laamu to use after listening to our wants and needs. They couldn't have chosen a better resort for us.
A fantastic welcome arrival (even in very stormy weather) and our GEM, Najah, made us feel at home straight away with a tour and settling in to the villa.
Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly and they couldn't do enough for you.
Our lagoon water villa was perfect for our honeymoon. Pure luxury, stunning views and so many places to relax and unwind. We spent most of our time here and enjoyed the peace and tranquility.
The food was amazing and they were more than willing to prepare food that wasn't on the menu for me. We particularly enjoyed the ambience in Leaf Restaurant and wish we had somewhere that special near home.
The spa was the best and the ladies who worked in there were so friendly. They quickly learnt my name and my likes and dislikes. Really appreciated the morning massages in Ice too.
We got to try aerial yoga whilst there and I absolutely adored it. A great instructor and a great experience.
We also enjoyed a private sunrise dolphin cruise. Although we didn't see any on the cruise, we were treated like royalty.

A really incredible experience from start to finish.
The airport transfers, boat trip, the front of house welcome, all the experiences, food and staff were fantastic. I really can't say a bad word about anything.
Our particular highlights were our Surfing lesson, aerial yoga, turtle hatching and a meal at the LEAF restaurant.

I have already written a review on Tripadvisor but I guess not everybody is looking there for suggestions on travel so I thought that I will add my review of Six Senses Laamu here.
This place is magical and from arrival on Male to departure from Six Senses Laamu you will be looked after so well!
I have visited twice and both times I could not wish for a better holiday.
The sea is turquoise and from our terrace we could watch rays and many other fish. Everything is spotlessly clean and the staff are trying very hard to make your stay here special.

The water villas provide fantastic view of the ocean and easy access to snorkel or swim. Our GEM Najah had a good schedule for us about the restaurant and spa reservations. Waking up every morning in Six Sense with the ocean view will remain a good memory to us. Snorkeling and taking a walk along the white-sand beach are also wonderful. Also, the food is delicious with its diversity and expertise.

Great GEM, Mr. Kokko! who is very nice, friendly and helpful. We do love a concept of sustainability. The villa is very nice and we got room on jetty C as request. F&B was excellent. However, we feel like Resort Manager refuse to talk with Asian guest. Initially, I thought it was just coincidental but on several occasions he would greet Caucasian guest right next to me. But overall was a nice stay indeed.

It really is everything you see in the pictures and more! Breathtaking is the right worlds to use! Stayed in a overwater pool villa which was simply amazing and had turtles right in front of our jetty most days. Easily one of most memorable holidays.

This was an amazing cultural experience. Offered a variety of impactful water and excursion activities. The over water villa was absolutely stunning. This was a 10+ experience. Amazing water, sunrise and sunsets. Food was excellent. People were awesome!!!

We had an amazing time celebrating our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we had everything we needed and were not left wanting for anything. Ali was an excellent GEM. The level of customer service was extremely high and I would recommend the resort to anyone looking for pure relaxation.

My family and I loved this resort. The overwater villas were amazing and the island was beautiful. We enjoyed the freedom of having a bike and being able to ride around the island as we pleased. The community areas were great. The food was excellent. We stayed here for four nights and Conrad for four nights and we all preferred Six Senses, though Conrad was also very nice.

Our recent holiday at Six Senses was our second visit and did not disappoint. Enjoyed this visit as much if not more than visit two years ago. The employees make this location! Every single person we came in contact with was very friendly and/or helpful. Honestly, leaving after seven days was sad - felt like we were leaving family behind. The hotel and grounds are stunning. The rooms are so comfortable and relaxing. There are enough activities to keep a person entertained (if that is what they are looking for) or beaches/pool to relax. The food in all the restaurants, including buffets, is excellent. For us, Six Senses Laamu is the ultimate relaxation resort.

Quite literally the very best place & holiday destination we have ever been too (and our standards were very high to start with). Cannot fault the impeccable service from every member of staff at every level, the food range & quality was on another level altogether (we have never eaten so well, so consistently and with such variety on a holiday before) and the resort & facilities / level of accommodation were perfect in every way. We’ve been to other Six Senses resorts before and this is their jewel in the crown no question (the others are amazing too mind). There is nothing at all we can think of that wasn’t absolutely right on this holiday and cannot wait to return again. Six Senses should be proud of every member of staff they have here as they do your business proud, as well as proud of what they have created here... which is literally paradise on earth.

Our stay at six senses Laamu was amazing! We had the best time. Great staff, great location, great villas, great activities and food. It was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Very luxurious hotel, great accommodation. Before entering hedgehogs for trachymene sand looks really nice. Huge comfortable villas, we lived in water villas and on the shore. Unusual design. Small note: the concept of no shoes no news combined with the ice floor in the restaurant in the snack room can cause a cold. The restaurant is better to offer guests to come in shoes.

Our experience was amazing. We had a really good time, enjoyed a lot everything at Six Senses.
Only comment/suggestion: would try to organize more excursions like the complimentary ones to the reef (snorkel) at 11 am. I think that doing these kind of activities with more people and with someone who know the island make clients do more things and explore and enjoy even more.

It's great to be greeted at the Male airport and shepherded to the lounge and later for boarding the small plane to the waiting boat. The water villa was exceptionally nice with music playing and fresh fruit and nuts. Alex especially liked the bikes and ride around the island which we did at least 20 times. Alex also enjoyed her massages and yoga class. I had free time to relax and refresh. All dinners were awesome ... especially at Sand Bank. It was exciting to see the dolphins and sunset. All memories are indelible :)

Michelle and I had the most amazing time at Six Senses Laamu. From the moment we touched down in Mali we were totally impressed with the level of service. The attention to detail overall was exceptional. The facilities, food standards and quality, water bungalow and most importantly the staff were a real highlight and made the whole experience so much more memorable. Thank you very much. Always such a fabulous experience at Six Senses Laamu. It's hard to achieve the consistent delivery of genuine and warm hospitality and the teams here succeed time and time again.

The resort is in great condition which again is not easy with salt water, humidity and storms. Impressive. The new additions are conceptually brilliant and all in the all the resort provides ample places for all sorts of different guests to really relax and enjoy natures playground. I really love this place and will be a life long repeat visitor. Thank you so much to everyone who work so hard to make this resort so special.

Great experience and time for our honeymoon! You have your own butler during your stay and make the stay even better! The transportation was well organized and lots of choice for the activity! Never gets board. Many fish around the ocean villas that you can see by snorkeling. The staffs are very nice and kind, you'll feel very comfortable! We are already planning to come back next year and highly recommend!

Overall, the property really speaks of itself and representing the six senses brand. Being a hospitality expert in the hotel industry, I was extremely eager to experience a six senses property and how the brand delivers its value and uniqueness. And I must say it is truly exceptional and what I have experienced really sticks true to the brand. I will not rate this property as a perfect score as there are still some minor improvements to be done. Nonetheless, it is an unforgettable experience and the brand deserves to be highlighted among the other premium brands in the word. It does indeed worth the money and I will continue to consider six senses brand in my next important occasion to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laamu and feel it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. The setting, day-to-day management, F&B, staff, diver school, accommodation etc were all first rate.

We used the spa, dive school, resort doctor, all restaurants bar Sip Sip and were delighted with our experiences at all of them.

We don't have any experience of other resorts in the Maldives but we really liked the focus on sustainability, particularly with the marine biology link. The barefoot luxury angle was also superb but we weren't quite sure whether that was really the case before we arrived so we both took 3-4 pairs of shoes with us.

We went for our first vacation the two of us since our daughter was born in 2016. We wanted to take our time (slow life) and enjoy every single day balancing between water activities (Surf & Diving), wellness (spa), nap and great meal experiences. Guess what... it's an homerun. As soon as we landed at Male, we had nothing else than enjoy to do :). The only thing we could regret about the trip is the weather, which unfortunately can not be controlled by the resort. We had a beach villa, quiet. It was perfect. Everything was great! I personally went surfing 4 times and each time we were up to 4 people max on the spot (Yin Yang), awesome! We even had the right to a dolphin dance back to resort once. The reef is also very well supplied with fish, it's superb. As you will have understood, go with your eyes closed. I can't wait to go again... Honestly

A fabulous family friendly resort which was perfect for unwinding and relaxation.

All the staff we encountered (GEMs, restaurants, spa and kids club) were helpful but also friendly and welcoming without being obtrusive.

The food in all the restaurants that we ate in (Longitude, Sip Sip, Leaf and Chill) was also excellent and of a high standard.

Our four year old son had a great time at the kids club, or we assume he did on the basis that his first question every morning on waking up was, "can I go to the kids club?" which enabled us to have some relaxing time to ourselves.

Excellent stay in all aspects. Not much to improve as all was almost perfect.
Only a suggestion on F&B service as there was some controversy on our full board option and the way of managing the situation was not perfect. But by far all the experience deserves a 5 stars. One of the best resorts I've ever been. I am sure I will come back to rest, enjoy and refill my energy level again!

A DREAM HONEYMOON

Where do I even begin with this beautiful resort?! Coming from NYC.. three planes and a boat later.. we found heaven on earth. From the moment we arrived, being greeted by our GEM Najah, we knew we were in for a special treat. Continuing the high of the wedding of our dreams, came the honeymoon of our dreams! Pictures, although beautiful, could never do this place justice as you truly need to live it. It was like Christmas morning every day. Waking up to catch the sunrise and ordering breakfast to enjoy on our hut’s deck was truly an experience we will cherish forever. We were so happy we booked the Laamu over water villa with pool as we looked forward to taking a dip in the morning, riding around the island and finding our way back in the pool every afternoon! Each experience was truly amazing (Surf & Turf beach BBQ, private sandbank cocktails for two, sunset dolphin cruise, sunken table experience & the most relaxing spa in the world!) We also dined at each restaurant which was a treat to try something new and exciting each day. We loved the feeling of cruising the island (shoeless) on our bikes and chasing ‘no-rush hour’ happy hours. It was the honeymoon of our dreams and the one vacation of our life we truly were sad to leave!! We cannot wait to recommend Six Senses Laamu to everyone that we know and come back on day to relive the magic!

Our stay was beyond anything we've ever imagined. Everything was taken care of, the food was amazing, fresh, organic, raised on the island. We especially enjoyed the breakfast smoothies and fresh squeezed juices, Yoga, the Spa. Overall service was unbelievable. I've traveled quite a bit, but this was hands down the best vacationing experience we've ever had. The resort was pristine, untouched. You literally felt like you stepped into paradise and there are simply no words to describe the color of the water. WoW!

I had the best vacation experience of my entire life. Hollow was such an excellent GEM - he definitely always went above and beyond. I loved our villa and our housekeeper was amazing. Vinod gave me a life changing massage experience - I am still talking about that massage to my friends a month later. The food was outstanding - when they say "breakfast buffet", my expectation was definitely NOT what we got - there were chefs making fresh pancakes and waffles and you could order delicious breakfast items which were made fresh. You all take customer service to a whole new level.

Absolutely AMAZING resort. 5 stars! Really worth going here, cannot fault the island at all. The staff are so friendly and hard working! We had an amazing honeymoon (end Sept 23-30). I would recommend this resort to family/friends. Thank you! Hope to be back soon!

We had a fantastic stay at Laamu! Best experience ever since we were first greeted at the airport until we were sent back. The only disappointment was leaving the island.
We went for wedding anniversary holiday, I managed to surf every day fantastic waves (massive thanks to tropic surf crew) and my wife was entertained and pampered during my absence. No remorse and plenty of time for romance too. Next time we will go with our children as the resort caters for all type of family activities.
This property is all about attention to detail yet not so flamboyant as some of the other up-market resorts. My wife is a perfectionist and can always find something out of place - not this time.
Food is fantastic, staff incredibly friendly and attentive.

We positively LOVED our stay at Six Senses Laamu! From the time we arrived until we departed we felt like we were a part of the Six Senses Family. Every staff member was so friendly and helpful and every attention to detail was evident. We also appreciated, as divers, that the resort bottles it own water and takes sustainability so seriously.

I loved the natural surroundings of the resort. I really liked the personalised bike tags and that bikes were easily available for everyone. Staff were extremely friendly and the food fresh and seriously good. The island is paradise.

Our stay was honestly life changing. The rest and the relaxation we got was incredible, but we didn't expect to be so inspired toward wellness and to eat food of such a high standard. We came back home feeling like different people and ready to make important changes to our everyday lives.

I love the concept of Sixsenses.Totally Bared feet on the island is such a perfect thing for me, it's make me feel more relax. Ice cream parlour is the special thing here also. Can't wait to go there again.

Beautiful place, excellent installations, very good service. Transfer to/from Male to/from the resort, by airplane and boat, was seamless. New: bare foot environment. Bikes add a nice touch and provide cool means of local transportation. Privacy is a plus! Yoga, massage, water sports are all excellent. Suggestion: eliminate charging for water - it becomes a nuisance. Cost/benefit: relatively high, considering existing alternatives to American travelers, such as high end resorts in the Bahamas and Mexican Riviera.

The resort was beautiful and the people working there were an absolute pleasure. This was our first six senses experience and we absolutely loved it. On top of it, the prices once you got to the resort were not offensive like many other island resorts. That may have been one of the most refreshing parts! There were so many activities (a lot of which were complimentary) that we never were once bored over a seven day stay. We would highly recommend this resort!

This is so far the best resort experience we ever had. We've been to several island trips before, however, Six Sense Laamu have gave us more then we expected. The water is not ideal as it is known as surfing season and the wave is really strong for non good swimmer like us, but still the water is clear and easy to look underneath, lots of fishes to see too. The hotel is what I have expected, rustic but still have a feeling of luxury. The highlight is the host/staff in the resort, all of them are always nice to you and try their best to make us comfortable. I have accidentally felled down from the jetty bridge, my boyfriend could find the staff to help me. He was freaked out and could not find our room key, the staff just jump into our balcony and got me the life buoy. We were too shocked and did not make our thankful to them. Please pass my deeply appreciation to them.
Last but not least, you guys are really good at spoiling us with loads and loads of good food and good wine. This is the mostly missed thing. I hope I could come back soon.

Amazing resort - just be aware that drinks are hugely expensive USD16 for a corona!!! Wine is more reasonably priced. Food is pretty good.

My experience with the hotel was met with Amazing grace, Smiling faces everywhere and tied with the serene beauty of the surrounding scenic wanders of the Maldives had undoubtedly made my short stay nothing short of memorable. I must admit I have yet to come across a resort besides six senses Laamu to have displayed such an amazing effort to maintain sustainability. The beautiful wooden furnishing and design tied with the incredibly creative staff made my stay a truly magical experience.

Such an amazing experience. We had the freshest food and juices while we were there. The service is exceptional, and the views are breathtaking. Truly lifelong memories were made. Can't say enough good things about this place. Worth the cost. Enjoy it.

Our stay was absolutely outstanding! We enjoyed every moment spent in the resort! No matter what we were doing: swimming, riding the bikes, eating and etc. everything was with pleasure.

Amazing, but if u don't know how to drive a bike from ur water villa ask the reception on ur arrival cuz they only have two golf car in the whole island. Water is so clear. Walk all around the area without any type of slipper of shoe (island concept) which i like most. No formal days 😁 some issues need to be look after otherwise everything perfect, btw, to reach six senses Lammu u need to take domestic airline then boat. No sea plane. Th manager was amazing guy 👌🏽

OMG, what a paradise!
This is a beautiful atoll(i am sure other Maldivian atolls are as beautiful too) , i felt in love the first minute.
People are just so nice on this little island, the entire management team welcomed us when we arrive, people remember who you are and which villa you stay from day one, they always greeting you with a huge smile(not that kind of fake smile you experience in most of the hotel/restaurant), they even noticed what's your favorite food and had their chief made one special just for you.
We LOVE the Leaf restaurant, everything we ordered was delicious.
Our room service guy is very sweet, he knows exact time we left our villa, and by the time we return our room is nice and tidy with some "personal touch". Our entire stay was just relaxing and enjoying, whenever i think about our trio there was like i had a dream, we are definitely coming back!!

Customer service at this resort is amazing! The staff was really friendly and remembered all the details of how I liked my food. Free ice cream every day with many flavors to choose from too! Every morning began with free yoga classes and a delicious breakfast (fresh cut fruit, made to order hot dishes, juices, etc etc.) We had an overwater bungalow with a gorgeous view. The days would be spent relaxing at the spa, working out in the gym, snorkeling by our bungalow, or soaking in the outdoor/ocean view bath. This wasn't my favorite island out of the three I've visited, but it was still amazing and I would recommend it.

This place is breathtaking! Most tranquil and beautiful place ever. The breakfasts are fabulous and the staff are the friendliest, most helpful people. Food/drink is expensive on the island, but I guess you pay for top quality. Love the eco-friendly concept of the hotel, they even have their own organic garden! The island itself is worth it...ocean/white sand beach is stunning. The romantic sunset sailing for two was an amazing experience!

Truly a paradise! Get here before these islands disappear completely, because they are slowly being swallowed by the sea!

my family and i went here for one week and in one word it is paradise. Although it is more aimed at adults it is very child friendly. it has EVERY THING there truly heaven on earth.

Amazing place that takes a long time to get to (another flight plus speed boat from Male airport). Unspoilt beaches, great sunsets and terrific snorkeling. Food could be better.
