Room is spacious and clean. Staff is very friendly. Outdoor pool is just the right size with life guard on duty (though not paying attention). Indoor hot tub. Hot breakfast every morning and snacks Monday- Thursday in the evenings. Great, family friendly place to stay.

Homewood Suites in Alexandria is a comfortable place to stay for a few nights. I stayed here with my wife and sons for the nights. We enjoyed having a suite so the boys could sleep while we stayed up later. The free breakfast, parking, outdoor pool, and exercise room were also nice. The complimentary shuttle was very convenient as well. We had a few minor complaints. The ceiling fan over our bed rattled and the water in the downstairs hot tub had a disgusting film on it's surface. Overall though it was a perfectly fine place to stay.

The room was very nice and the staff were very accommodating. My only complaint is that the air conditioning, the refrigerator, and the bathroom fan all run very loud and tend to create a lot of white noise. Overall a very pleasant experience and a good choice for a stay in the DC area.

Good location a few miles from The National Mall and surrounding areas. Shuttle service to King St every half hour is a good way to get to the Metro rail station to take the blue line to the Pentagon, Arlington Cemetary, Federal triangle, The White House and so much more. Room was clean as well as the lobby, breakfast area. Outdoor pool and indoor hot tub looked well kept. Coin operated Laundry is also on site. Breakfast options were plentiful, great staffing and maintenance of keeping food warm and fully stocked. Plenty of restaurants and gas stations, at a, shopping around the area. A very nice location to feel at home during your stay.

We loved the free breakfast and evening social. The pool was perfect. This is a great location for touring DC.

Amazing room, excellent customer service, very clean and comfy. Close to D.C. and convenient to the highway. I would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it.

Simple hotel with all the needed facilities. Realitvely close to Washington DC if you have a car. Otherwise a Lyft isn't too expensive.

The rooms are great. My husband and I stayed in a king suite, which was perfect with our two toddlers. We had the king bed, and had the kids in the "living room" are a on the sofa bed. There was a tv in both sections, and they even had Disney Jr. (which is a lifesaver for my kids). The kitchen area was great for staying a few days, allowing you to keep items in the full size refrigerator (with freezer section above to produce your own ice). The kitchen was equipped with any of your basic necessities (toaster, stove top, microwave, utensils, dishwasher, pans, and a skillet. The breakfast they had was great. Also, and this is a really, really great perk, Mondays-Thursdays they host an evening gathering between like 5 and 7, which is essentially a complimentary dinner. And, it is fantastic. We came to see D.C., and with the kids, that pretty much meant that we were only left with figuring out a lunch on our own. Also, the hotel does provide a shuttle to the King's Street Metro, which makes transportation awesome. We didn't have to use our car at any point once we checked in. Overall, this hotel was so much more than I could have ever expected. My husband and I did not want to leave. And, every member of the staff was absolutely amazing. They were all so helpful and friendly. I was just completely blown away with Homewood Suites by Hilton in Alexandria!

Stayed there for a week. I’m from out of state, so it was really awesome that the workers went out of their way to make sure I knew where to go, and suggested places to visit! My room was always clean and it was nice they kitchen was fully Equipped.

The hotel lobby and dining areas has an upscale touch. However, fixtures and curtains inside the hotel room are old and worn-out(some have bobbling), not something you would expect at a Hilton chain. The breakfast menu is super delicious, from hot egg-omelet/scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, to cold regular serials, juices and fresh cut fruit. They also have a make-yourself waffle maker. Even with my disappointment on fixtures and curtains the hotel has my 4 stars, largely due to its fine breakfast menu and its proximity to chain grocery stores (Target, Shoprite, Trader Joes), gas stations and fast food restaurants.

Just loved the place... One of the best places to stay in the area! Very friendly staff, delicious and fresh breakfast, spacious area, kitchen available in the hotel room, separate bedrooms, hot tub, shuttles available to DC!! Will visit again .. *thumbs up*

Clean rooms (with kitchen equipped with stove top burners, full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dining area, silverware and everything else you'll need), staff outstandingly courteous and helpful always greeting you, complimentary buffet with every possible food you may have for breakfast, there is also an afternoon reception from Monday through Thursday with free food and drinks (non alcoholic).

They have a bus that runs every 30 minutes to and from the Metro station at King Street, and that is complimentary too.

Free parking, free WiFi, almost next to Safeway, CVS, and some fast food like Five Guys, Wendy's, Taco Bell and the sort

This hotel has to be the best hotel I have stayed at by far. It was super clean, the food was prepared well, everything was overall great. It was average price I stayed there for 1 night with my daughter for a girl scout event. I would highly recommend.

I loved it there. Very friendly and courteous staff. I wished they had an indoor pool though. My daughter loves swimming but unfortunately their pool was outdoor and as usual is inaccessible during the winter.

The rooms were spacious and clean. They have shuttle to take you to the metro. Breakfast offers a lot of options. We had a great girls weekend!

The staff was really great! My husband and I along with our three children love the room, especially the fireplace. We had a comfortable stay.

They room was clean and as advertised. Everything was in order but I forgot my toothbrush and unlike other Hilton facilities, they don't give you a toothbrush and toothpaste. But I suppose it's because they're affiliated and not the actual Hilton. Nevertheless, they were very helpful when we lost our Samsung tablet, got a flat tire and was stuck in the blizzard. They helped us find the tablet, inflated our tire and contacted a repair shop. During the whole fiasco, even though we had already checked out yesterday, they gave us both free breakfast. Now if they gave us a room for the few hours that we had comeback for a tablet but the manager was not working yet (to help us find the tablet), that would have been above and beyond, but they did not and we had to sleep in the car for 4 hours; which I won't complain about since that's beyond some staff's control.

I'm really impressed! It's more than I expected. Breakfast was the bomb. The staff is superb. Enjoying my birthday weekend with the ladies.

The room was nice and comfortable and had lots of beds for the room I was in. The lighting was nice and the tv was good. The room had a refrigerator that kinda needed a little bit more of a pull than was expected. The room also had a microwave and a stove for cooking which was very convenient. All and all it was a nice experience.

My family had a good stay during Christmas break. The staff were nice and understanding. They made the arrangements for 5 staying in a room for 4. The only troubles we had we small beds and the fan for the bathroom was rather weak. The breakfasts were very good. Good reliable wi-fi, friendly service, would stay again with bigger beds and better bathroom fan.

Great hotel! We had a GREAT suite room! I really liked the buffet style complementary breakfast! the staff is really nice! When you first walk into the hotel there is a really nice room that you eat in! I felt so sad when we left. And also if you need a crib, for your baby, they have cribs! I highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice front desk gentleman but very dated rooms. The room we're staying in is not very clean. The carpet needs cleaned and there is dust on some of the furniture. We were told the hotel has been here for I believe it was 19 years. It shows. I wasn't sure if I wanted to give 2 or 3 stars. I gave them a 3 cause of the niceness of the front desk employee.

Excellent stay at this hotel. What makes it standout? The staff. Top notch all the way around. Comfortable quiet rooms. The place is kept very clean. Breakfast in the morning is a perfect touch.

The suites are a fantastic size, are clean and comfortable. The staff are fantastic and there is a shuttle to the metro station with easy access to D.C. if you are planning to go into D.C., it takes about an hour though between getting on the shuttle, driving over, getting on the train, and getting to Smithsonian. There are limited seats and passes are handed out 30 min prior to each allotted time slot. They do have a complimentary breakfast, which was okay at best (Hampton Inn is better with more variety) and they have a complimentary "light dinner" Mon-Thurs nights from 5pm-7pm. You can theoretically make this into a meal but it's often appetizers and a light dinner such as soup, salad, or pasta. One night, they had chicken and burgers. They also have free parking and are often more affordable than the locations in the city.

If represented by the Hilton brand, it was disappointing. My stay started off in a negative view because my room wasn't ready until 5pm (no compensation offered), my tub was stopped up, rendering my stay substandard for that hotel. The hot food was cold, but a microwave was made available, the cookies were hot though, I was sadly disappointed with the hotel after reading good reviews about it, I'm afraid to spend my money there again.

Nice comfy hotel with lots of ammenities. There is a pool, hot tub, and gym, as well as a pool table in the lobby. They offer breakfast everyday and dinner 5 days a week. The rooms could stand some updating and when changing the sheets, specifically ask for the comforter to be changed. I noticed ours wasn't the cleanest at check in and left it on the floor to be changed after the first night and it was not.

Stationed in a room on the fifth floor with two double beds and a pull out couch. The double beds are quite comfy, no complaints. The living room was comfortable as well and included a gas fireplace which was a nice touch. The pull out bed according to my friends who slept on it was very uncomfortable. The hotel also includes a free Continental breakfast with your standard fare. Breakfast hours were generous. There is also a shuttle that will take you around town with a 30 notice. All in all, accounting for the price of the stay, would definitely recommend. Hotel losses points for the pull out couch.

I merely met up with some friends staying there, but the accomodations were more than adequate. Good pool for entertaining children. Kitchen in suite. Plenty of room and furniture.

The shuttle drivers were outstanding. They were very knowledgeable and nice. Miguel was a pleasure. He helped us so much.

The place was old and damp. It looks like it hasn't been updated in a while but the beds are soft and comfortable. Because of the humidity the furniture feels sticky.

Rooms are modern, clean and well equipped. Amenities are great. Location is close to 395, minutes to DC. Shuttle service to metro as well. I really liked it.

Great staff. The 2 bedroom suites were great. Clean and well stocked.
Duck shaped pool is quite small. The patio, outside kitchen, outside fireplace and pool table in the lobby add a great touch to the property. The free hot breakfast consisted of waffle, oatmeal, eggs, corn beef hash, undercooked sausage links, flimsy bacon, cereal, toast/muffins/bagels, fruit and juice. Certainly room for improvement. This hotel, which is conveniently located near several places to eat. (Now if only the booklet that the hotel provides was a bit more helpful in that area) Location is just an easy 15 minute drive to the National Mall. I'd definitely stay there again.

The food for breakfast was ok. Everything else was great. The shuttle to the train station worked really well.

Great stay room had great furnishings including granite countertops, fridge, and stove. Breakfast in the morning was great. Pool table in the lobby. Minutes away from DC would recommend a stay for large families needing the space of a 2 bedroom suite.

A nice place to stay not far away from DC attractions. We have stayed at many Homewood Suites and this one probably had the nicest breakfast and service. The area is a little commercial but it feels safe.

My stay was excellent, and I plan to return before the year is out. The area, was quiet, and everything was up to par. From check in, to departure time. I have no complaints, and I have already suggested this hotel to friends and family.

Check in was a breeze. Parking is a bit tight. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I liked the fact it was bigger than I thought it would be. Quite simply a nice place for the price with an amazing staff.

The staff are incredibly friendly and the location is nice to where we aren't far from major tourist attractions in DC Virginia or Maryland.

Friendly staff provides adequate breakfasts and evening snacks (which sometimes might serve as dinner) followed by warm cookies! Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable.

It was a clean place with a chic decor. The only reason why I didn't give a 5 stars, is because the breakfast crew two days in a row had no smile on their faces. I travel a lot, and it is the first time I saw kitchen staff not greeting guests, at all. A simple good morning even to the kids, was too much. They were not mean or with attitude, just disinterested and cold, almost military personnel like. Also, the breakfast is until 930 a.m but at 930 exactly, all you will find are plastic utensils, and a fruit basket.
They clean up fast or too early. Lol

My family love this place! If your planning to bring your family to Washington DC. This place is great and the price is not really bad.

Had a friend staying and went to see his room. I travel all over the world and have been in really nice hotels on every continent other than Antarctica. This room was one of the best I have seen with a fireplace and separate bed room. strongly recomend.

Very helpful staff overall. At check-in, the staff member very rudely told my friend she would be at our room if we were loud, simply because when she inquired of the occasion my friend stated it was for a bachelorette party. We were clean and quiet and respectful, and I feel like that remark was unwarranted. Otherwise, lovely stay.

We were in room 523 recently for 4 days. The room was much smaller than depicted on the website, so kudos to the photographer. There was no information in the room about the area, the hotel, the TV, or area restaurants. The hot tub was actually a lukewarm tub every night. In the bedroom every light bulb was burned out except the lamp on the bedside table, which kept shorting out and would stay on continuously only if we sat on the bed. There was no alarm clock in the room and the fireplace timer did not work. When brought to their attention, it was rectified in a timely manner, but for $217 per night, the room should be perfect and it was not. The shuttle service was excellent, the breakfasts predictable, and the evening meals straight from some local food service supplier with no embellishments. Overall, we would probably not stay at a Homewood Suites again due to room size. Other than that, the experience was okay. For us, Milton, one of the shuttle bus drivers, was the highlight of the whole stay. He is a gem.

Newly renovated (2014). Nice rooms, kind and helpful service. Serves breakfast and dinner to guests. Has 10 minute shuttle to nearest metro stop every 1/2 hour. Would stay here again

THE ROOMS ARE AWESOME!!!! Newly renovated, very clean and house keeping obviously takes pride in there work.

Some of the Staff needs some work. Upon arrival my wife had a misunderstanding with the lady at the front desk. The fact that the hotel was under construction did not help (was not informed of construction when booking). I spoke o the manager and he was very friendly and we resolved it as a simple misunderstanding. Manager even offered to discount my room a bit for the issues but I did not feel as though he needed to do that.
Now I am not one to be a pesky guest that complains about everything so I did not speak to the manager again but in the morning I was extremely upset:
1. When asking for help from the guy working at the front desk laughed in my face. I don't think I have ever felt so disrespected.
2. At right about 6:30am (which is what time breakfast starts) I asked the ladies in the kitchen if it was ready and they told me to read the sign and went back to there conversation.

That being said the customer service did not match what we have experienced with many stays at Homewood Suites all over the country.

To the rest of the stay, almost every other staff member I passed or spoke to was extremely friendly, asked how our stay was going and if we needed anything.

Perfect location for visiting Washington DC about a 15-20 min drive into DC for us. I would certainly stay at this hotel again and would not judge it off of a few people!
