It was a very nice day I rented the jacuzzi room. Although for the price which was almost $200 with tax there should have been a little bit more upgrades in that room. Piece of the tile was broke on the hot tub and I was left with no toilet paper when first checking in. But other than that the bed was very comfortable the pillows were comfortable the water stayed hot. And I did not have any other complaints besides there was no towels at the pool.

Stayed one night at the homewood suites. Nice room with all the amenities. Decent breakfast. Some minor wear in the room, but otherwise enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here a while back and I'd say we all had a good stay great food and amazing kind staff ... This was our 1st time staying at a Home Wood Suites Hotel. This place is amazing. The rooms are clean and come with a kitchenette, and the beds are super comfy. They serve breakfast 7 days a week, and dinner Mon. - Thurs., and the food is delicious. My only complaint was the pool was not operational, but that was not their fault. They were working on getting it open again, after someone put bath bombs in it throwing off the ph balance.

Loved it, would deffinately recommend. When we were there they had 4 social nights a week with free dinner and drinks. Plus free breakfast and nice staff and the had a lovely pool.

About what you would expect. Won't blow you away but it's a decent place to stay. Bed was comfortable, room was a bit dated.

This hotel is well appointed and clean. Tye staff have been friendly and helpful. There are only two issues. It is hidden from the road and the signs are not clear when directing to check-in. It is also not really within walking distance from and decent restaurants. They are just a short drive away, but not walkable. A word of caution to wheelchair users, the mobility accessible room is literally the furthest one from the front lobby and the entrance next to the room is not wheelchair accessible. I still recommend this hotel as it has been a great experience.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great, lots of variety. Suite was nice. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Hotel wasnt terrible. Hallways were a bit warm and couldn't find an overnight attendant for over half an hour before giving up.

Awesome place, very relaxing and calm. Breakfast was really good, the room that I stayed on was very clean and had all the amenities, kitchen, livingroom, spacious bathroom, stove, microwave and fridge. All of them in good condition and very clean.

This is a smoking hotel, if you don't like cigarette smoke don't stay here.
Tired rooms, carpet has lots of stains, shower curtain rod sagging so that it was hard to keep the curtin shut.
The dishwasher had not been emptied just a note saying that the dishes were clean, "Enjoy" enjoy what?, putting them away?
Dirty A/C vents and not all the lights worked.
Overall cleanliness was below average.
On the plus side the windows opened up fully.
I wouldn't stay here again.

It was a really nice suite until I noticed a sign saying due to repairs the water will shut off at 10am. Checkout was at 12 so I had to get ready early. Customer service act kind of weird. The jacuzzi felt really nice until after I got out it turn back on by itself and scared me. It's ok

Room was clean and very large, there was a full kitchen. Desk staff was helpful and had me checked in fast and they were nice. Breakfast was pretty good, the fresh waffles were a nice treat.

Pretty nice place, halls needed vacuumed. Dinner and breakfast are on par. Service is great, they do have a strict 2 limit alcohol beverage policy.

Situated just off I95, and 7 mins from 288, there are plenty of restaurants and shopping centers in the immediate area and reasonable travel times to a lot that greater richmond has to offer. Free breakfast and dinner; eating area has very comfortable seating. fitness center on the small side, but there is an indoor pool and jacuzzi, and basketball half court. Rooms have a nice setup with just about everything you need. The pillows are soft but don't collapse which i find ideal. Set back from the main road so you don't hear all of the traffic noise (at least on the west side of the building)

Room was pleasant and homey, with two separate effective bedrooms and a nice little kitchen area. Air conditioning was surprisingly loud, but that issue was simple to solve. Overall, clean and uneventful stay.

We have stayed here several times. Each time, someone in our party had to change rooms because the a/c is broken in the room. We love the hotel, but I hope the update the a/c systems before we come next year. Otherwise, staff is anyways very nice and helpful. Lobby is pretty, had been remodeled. Good breakfast, and manager reception. Will come again

Checked in and the rooms phone didn't work to call down and let them know I had no hot water. The shower drain wouldn't open either...but - within 15 minutes maintenance was there to fix everything. It took him about 5 minutes and my stay was worth the initial wait/headache! (The staff was extremely helpful getting everything fixed as there were no other rooms to switch to)

Beds were ok, rooms were spacious, clean, toilets were oddly very small (and I'm not a big guy). Bathrooms and shower stalls could use an update. Kind of old. Staff is excellent and very friendly. Breakfast was ok, but selection was light. It appears the hotel is undergoing renovations (Aug 2017) because the lobby is far more updated than the rooms. I didn't have a bad stay but I can't give this more than 3 stars

It's a little "island" of hotels and restaurants away from downtown by about 15-20 mins but we were very pleased with the cleanliness and friendliness of the room and staff. Monday-Thursday there is a dinner reception for guests. We got "Pasta La Vista, Baby" with a decent meal of soup, salad, pasta, wine, beer, iced tea, french bread and butter. It was enough to make me stay in the hotel and enjoy their free meal. Breakfast is very good with hot and cold options. The rooms have full refrigerator /freezer, 2-burner stove, and dishwasher. Cabinets have plates, silverware, cutlery, and glasses. You can definitely make this a home away from home. I wish I had time to get into the indoor pool and hot tub. I'd stay again for sure. Oh and for some strange reason the maid didn't take my tip yesterday. Where has that ever happened before?

Some of the rooms need to be renovated, but overall it's a great hotel. Friendly staff, wonderful complimentary social hour on week nights (with free food and drinks). Good location.

Rooms are large, clean, comfy. Will stay here again and will look for a Homewood Suites when I travel elsewhere. Very pleased.

I like the Fact that they offer dinner here on the weekdays, I think, M-Thurs...from 5-7pm...and the room that has one king size bed has a range, regular fridge, dish washer, toaster, coffee pot and Whi-Fi, I think is in the room, by they def. have computers down stairs in the lobby to use for guests, as well..

Nice jacuzzi, clean, quiet, customer service was great. A perfect place to relax. Breakfast was ok, not great not bad.

Attended a birthday party on the 2nd floor. Didn't like that we had to go downstairs to use the bathroom. Food was delicious.

This hotel has spacious accommodations with a kitchenette and a bedroom separated from the seating area by doors. There is nothing spectacular about the facilities, but they are comfortable and more than adequate. The thermostat is an old analog style but this is a minor inconvenience. The free breakfast is great, and the daily social hour is a very nice offering.

I like the staff, they're all very professional and interested in meeting the needs of the guests.

The hotel is undergoing renovations so expect a bit of outside the normal things like using a side entry to access registration and breakfast and happy hour gatherings are on 2nd floor while this is going on. Everything is tidy and you don't otherwise really notice anything out of the ordinary. Rooms are great and kitchen has everything you need for cooking basic easy meals with a full size refrigerator. So great for long term stays.

The hotel is in a great location surrounded by plenty to do. They're currently renovating the lobby so you have to enter through the side, but the renovations don't effect your stay any other way. Rooms are clean and beds are quite comfortable.

Was a quick overnight stay while passing through... Room was nice and clean. Full breakfast that is included is always a plus. Staff was pleasant and easy to work with.

Outstanding staff! The young lady working the desk went well out of her way to get me the last room available (homecoming week) after my reservation was canceled at another hotel--she even worked to get me a discount. The room itself is spacious and homey with all the comforts and conveniences of home. The hotel even offers complementary breakfast AND a simple evening meal. The only inconvenience is the location. The hotel is off the main road behind another hotel and fast food restaurant--not exactly easy to find or get to in the dark following Google Maps directions.

It's a nice place. I went in for an interview and the women there were very relate able and kind. I can only imagine how great they are working the desk

The room and hotel are very nice. But the shower had no curtain installed. The air conditioning unit was dated and after much fiddling I finally found a decent setting. The staff was very accomaditing and the breakfast was great.

Two TVs with a dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. They support guests of the JW convention, so I'm pleased. Everything as expected.

And how we have to live beside people on the other wall....
And that most of the hotel was carpet floor
And most workers speak Spanish....

Great place to stay! Clean, comfortable, quiet. The staff is super nice and extremely helpful. Nancy the sales manager is very attentive and Keisha at the front desk is smiling, cheerful, and very helpful. The king suite was well kept and had all I needed. The bed was comfortable and clean. My second night, I noticed housekeeping had put a sheet on my bed that had a strange stain on it. Nothing resembling bodily functions or anything, but more like maybe grease or something from washer or dryer perhaps. Staff PROMPTLY came and changed them and were very apologetic. The only downfall, and this is a shame... There is a free breakfast AND dinner through the week. While this is a great gesture, I would steer clear of the meals. the food is extremely lacking in quality and comes with a large side of instant dysentery. Other than that, no other complaints at all! I give it 8 / 10 overall. If I'm in the area again... I may go to Hilton Garden Inn.... little better atmosphere for the same price.

Got there late ,super great staff helpful and attentive. Rooms were clean and perfect. Plenty of room for my family of 4. Stayed on the 7th floor which is the smoking floor ,but smoke was not noticable in the room ,just the hallways. Breakfast was awesome and kept fresh, excellent coffee. Great Job Hotel Staff! Hats off to you...

Great location

After recently staying for a month in the beautiful and brand-new Homewood Suites San Diego, my expectations for this hotel were set a little too high. Compared to that facility this one is old, small, underequipped and a little smelly in certain areas. I will refrain from comparing this with that hotel:

Location: Great location, close to I-95, but in a quiet and almost rural setting. Just south of Richmond.

Internet: The wireless internet doesn’t work in my room because the signal is too week, but the wired internet is very fast. It is provided by Comcast Business and operates at T1 speeds.

Food: Very good breakfasts and dinners. A lot of variety and much better than other hotels. No free drinks at dinner, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it.

Room: I stayed in a spacious one bedroom suite. The TVs are 24” Philips CRT, which are old, but fine. The dishwasher and refrigerator was clean and newer than the rest of the room. The kitchen was a little small, especially in terms of cabinet and drawer space. They give you less kitchen stuff than most Homewood suites. The bed and other furniture was very comfortable. The bathroom is not remarkable, but the shower does have a good spray.

Gym: The gym is about average for hotels of this type. There is a strong mold smell, but that may be temporary.

Pool: The pool is average in size. I haven’t checked the temperature.

Staff: The staff seems about average for the Hilton family. Friendly and thorough.
