No pressure, two night stay over the weekend. We were treated with respect and the staff were very responsive to needs and requests. Greeted with champagne compliments of the hospitality staff. Great views, free upgrade to higher floors, and an incredible view from the 33rd floor deck area.

Friendliest staff ever. Magnificent views, great beds and pillows. Kind to my service dog. Great location. Accommodating in every way. Unfortunately whoever was the designer of the renovation made it so I can't reach the cabinets or anything in them. The bathtub has no grab bar I could hardly step in and I didn't want to use glass shower door as support. To turn on shower you have to have water in off position pull a knob and turn on water simultaneously. I couldn't do it from outside the shower as the sink had one inch clearance from the glass door. I got blasted with cold water. How lovely. Everything is proportioned for a six footer. So I would have given 5 stars for the staff but only 3 for the physical layout. I am a time share owner in the hotels but it has made reconsider staying with the resorts.

As part of the Wyndham Resorts properties, Midtown 45 stands out on many levels. I am proud to call Midtown 45, my home resort. I have spent the past 2 Christmas at one of the units there and I have been delighted each time. The staff is outstanding. The amenities numerous and the property is well kept, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen in the unit has all the necessary utensils to prepare any meal. This is a proven quality. The roof deck offers really grand views of NYC all lit for the holidays. And the Wyndham sponsored events held there during our stay were always pleasurable. Our host for one such event, Brittany was jovial and congenial, and added to the festive mood. Whether enjoying the comfort inside or on the heated outside, it is a very lovely experience. Because of the property's location, it's proximity to everything is an added bonus. If you like walking, many renowned sites are a few blocks away. For example, the United Nations plaza and its iconic headquarters building is easily reachable within minutes. Rockefeller Center and the always famous Christmas tree, along with Radio City Music Hall, and St. Patrick's Cathedral are also within comfortable walking distance; so is Times Square and other well known NYC landmarks. Access to the vast subway system is just a few blocks away and is housed beneath the cavernous and spectacular Grand Central Station. So with comfort to bask in and iconic an NYC an envious few steps away, I look forward to booking another over the Christmas stay at Midtown 45.

Love this hotel! It’s a perfect location with restaurants, bodegas and bars in walking distance. It felt safe too. The roof lounge is great with beautiful views of the Chrysler Building and the river. Very chic apartments around the area. Grand Central Station is a 5-minute walk.

The hotel itself is great for a New York City visit. There’s no pool or many amenities so it’s best for a family or couple wanting to spend a long weekend or even a week in the city to see all the sights and return to a cozy hotel to rest.

The negative is that for Wyndham owners the timeshare staff will be extremely pushy on attending the “owners update” presentation and trick you into attending by offering you “free breakfast” and “gifts”. They call every hour and insist by offering you a quick 15-minute “in and out” update. The update is actually 90 minutes long and they will do anything to keep you and sell you timeshares and more points to owners. You wanted valuable time from your vacation. Just say no and continue with your vacation.

The staff here is excellent. There extremely nice and helpful. They are very well trained to serve the customer. The breakfast is excellent. They have a little of everything for breakfast and they change the meat items each morning. There is a balcony that is a pretty good place for breakfast. There rooms are a little small compared to most hotels and the counter however probably not for New York.

We traveled with our kids this time. They stayed in a hotel room and came down for breakfast as we had a stove and dining area in our room. Midtown 45 is within walking distance to Grand Central Station, so we were able to move about freely. Everyone is extremely friendly, and I even received a nice gift. This was our third visit to Midtown 45, so I would have to say that we definitely like it.

Would have given a 5 star except for the noise outside of my room on the 22 floor it's only late night, not sure but I think it's the garbage men's. Other than that, it was amazing along with the view the rooms are great the people are professional and friendly. Be prepared to be soliciting, for their welcome package and a discount offers and free breakfast just to be put in a position to buy a time share. Something I wasn't aware of, the discount tickets I got wasn't a discount for me. I paid $130.00,for discount tickets then, at the time share they claim it was free and wouldn't return my money. At the time share they would market the time share with their marketing points but would allow you to read and understand what they where talking about or see upfront a copy of the contract to clear up what you are buying they want you to just go by there words and pin point they have selected. Once you sign that contract it's all over. This is for some people it wasn't for me, not to allow me to read everything and for me to understand. GOOD LUCK

My visit to Wyndham in New York was great. The front desk and housekeeping was nice. I had a problem and was handled quickly by management. The room was nice and clean. The customer lounge was also clean place to hang out as well. My only suggestion is to expand and fix the washing machine. It takes a long time to wash and dry and my clothes still didn't come out clean. But other than that I will visit again. Just don't book a tour with Topview bus. That was the worse experience ever.

It is in mid town where everything is close by. It has full kitchen and frig. Cooking utensils and dinnerware. Dishwasher and microwave. Very helpful and friendly staff. But it is also a timeshare where they entice you to buy in....

We did the tour here. We did not stay. However it is beautiful. The rooms are bigger than your typical NYC hotel rooms and very modern and beautiful. You must go to the 33rd floor community space with the outdoor balcony. That was my favorite spot.

This is a Fantastic Hotel! We stayed a week and loved every minute of it! The apartment style room was huge for New York City and the kitchenette made traveling life so much easier. They had a business center and laundry facilities. The front desk staff, concierge and bellman were a godsend and so helpful. There was a wonderful deck and lounge on the roof that was breathtaking and a relaxing place to unwind in the evening and enjoy the city lights. This was a perfect Hotel and we will definitely be returning!

Compared to most NYC buildings you can hear almost everything your neighbor is saying. The staff is rude, and specially during their service hour. States that they are a boutique hotel when in reality all they really have to offer is being located in Manhattan. Your better off staying at a more established hotel in the area.

Amazing rooms with comfy beds and good kitchens. Nice owner's lounge on the top floor. Friendly valet and luggage staff. Front desk staff wasn't the most friendly, and we saw quite a few people have issues with them. The breakfast and sales pitch is around the block and held us up too long. Keys are deactivated at 10am sharp for checkout and staff will have to let you in if you don't make it back. Very interesting experience. I'm sure it's better if you're a presidential reserve owner.

The room was clean and the location is awesome but what's really deserving of the 5 stars are the staff! Also the rooftop is spectacular.

The place itself is amazing. It was comfortable and modern. Beautiful with everything we needed. Perfect location. I gave it 3 stars because no matter how many times you say "no" to their "free breakfast" you get harassed about attending. I'm on vacation. Don't make me sit through hours of a presentation for "breakfast or tickets or whatever" and when I say no. You pester, call and leave notes. Enough is enough. These people are bullies and it's no just this property. It's most Wyndham properties.

Pretentious motel that wants to be a hotel... amenities are little to none - no pool, no sauna, no hot tub. Small gym and laundromat with 4 machines for the 30 story bulding.... Rooms updated but carry no amenities. Only trashcan was in the bathroom... Old windows let in all the sounds from busy streets below. AC only makes noise but does not cool the room at all. No mini fridge. Crappy pillows (tho most hotels have same) tv channels are limited. Cheapest coffee make I've ever seen.
Oh and God forbid you check out few minutes late- get ready to be charged 100 per hour... all that and they call themselves the Presidential Reserve 😂😂😂
To be fair the location is pretty good, close to many attractions on the city.

Decent hotel, very close to Grand Central Station. There is an additional fee if you want daily housekeeping..Very big turn off..
Rooms were quite large by NYC standards, but they need to have microwave/ refrigerator in every room. The saving grace as to why I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 is the top floor lounge, the view is simply spectacular, with fireplace and kitchenette. Quite chic ..but cozy..

An excellent place to stay while visiting New York because it is close to major attractions and with lots of public transportation options. The rooms are tiny but include a mini kitchen stocked with everything needed for a home away from home stay. The only thing you need to bring is your clothes and groceries if you want to stay in the room and cook. The Hotel staff is courteous and accommodating but please do not even think about bringing a car with you there is a $75.00 a night charge for parking. One last bit of information is to try an avoid the Wyndham desk in the lobby area where they will surely try and sell you one of their timeshares.

All the amenities you'll ever need! We had CA one bedroom suite just 10 mins from Time Square. There was plenty of shops, restaurants and public transportation within 2 minutes to the hotel. They have a rooftop lounge and balcony seating with great views of the city, fitness room, laundry services and daily activities. We attended the wine and cheese reception and met other guests. They did not have a restaurant on the premises, but did partner with two restaurants on the block to give hotel guests 15% discount on meals.

Soooo, disappointed!!! Room was great, however the constant room temperature was 80!!! Could not turn on A.C. as the building was sent for heat. Maitance came and opened a window about 3". Two nights of little sleep due to the heat--- we left early.
Also, after a 2 hour sales pitch--- we get vouchers to selected restaurants!! No longer a customer's choice of where they would like to use them, plus they were no longer in credits card format--- paper!!
After checking the locations we discovered that they were located all over the city. You need to rethink this procedure.

But all in all it was a very nice place and great location.

Excellent accommodations but be prepared for a 90 minutes sales presentation. If you have intentions of buying one of the Timeshare you should start by saying NO. the more no you say the cheaper the price gets. The rooms are very modern and cozy, although they're smaller than the Wyndham rooms we're used to. The bathroom was ultra modern with makeup lights and mirror, TV in the bathroom, etc; but there were also some touches missing, like 1-ply toilet paper, a squeeky ill-fitting bathroom door, and a wobbly toilet. The front desk staff were great and the concierge made our arrangements for us, but once again the time share staff were pushy and overbearing.

We stayed for two nights, in both a presidential suite and a regular room. The accommodations are pretty decent, and the rooms are pretty decent as well. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful. However, there is a very lurking 'sales' feel about the place, and it seems everything is trying to sell you something. Of course, this is Manhattan, but it seems a bit more aggressive here than at other non-resort hotels. The location is pretty great.

Staff is friendly and rooms are nice. Our only issue was the rooms were hot! Apparently they turn the air off in the fall and the only way to cool your room is to open the window (which opens maybe 2 inches, not enough to get a breeze). Our room was nevef cooler than 73F. If they would leave the air on, it would've been a much more comfortable experience!

Wyndham Midtown 45

Nice staff, very helpful and welcoming. Stayed in a non-renovated hotel room for first few nights of stay. Perfectly serviceable room for two people. Comfortable bed and pillows. Stayed on 7th floor and had windows that looked out toward another building. Had use of the owners lounge on the 33rd floor as this was a rewards club booking so room view was not an issue for us. On the last night we were able to move to a renovated Presidential Suite. This was a very large suite with entry, living room with dining table, kitchen, large bedroom, and bathroom and views from 4 different windows located on the 21st floor. Very modern design and comfortable.

There's a T.V. in the bathroom 😂😂😂 We have a corner room. Everything is clean... The roof top lounge is nice. You can bring your own food and up to the lounge and eat on the roof... Sometimes they have free drinks, Yoga, complimentary paint night. They will give you a calendar with a list of events. They have complimentary water, ice tea, hot tea, coffee and de cafe down on the first floor. They also have 3 big Mac computers on the first floor for Guest usage. I like it. No complaints. I will come again 😅

We stayed in a two-bedroom suite. For NYC, it was huge! The living room area could have been cleaner. There were crumbs and dust on the floor, but not to the extent that the room would be called dirty. Since it's located in Midtown, there's not much to view except restaurants and bars, but the Chrysler building is clearly visible from the rooftop lounge. At night, it's worth the trip upstairs. Just a few blocks away from Times Square and Broadway, it's surprisingly quiet, yet just ten to fifteen minutes from hot spots. Some people at the front desk come across as a bit rude (NYC I guess), but overall the customer service team is great and will even make the extra effort to remember your name. In general, it's a good place to stay.

We were pressured into going to Wyndham sales presentation and held there after we were ready to leave despite of what was promised. That added unnecessary stress to our trip. Some features of the studio unit we were staying in were awkward, broken or flimsy. The unit was on the 20th floor with nice views. The owners ' lounge was fun, but run down and in disrepair. The place all together looks better on the website.

This is part of a time share through Wyndham resorts. I've stayed here several times in all levels of rooms. They are currently under renovation. There renovated suites are sweet!
The one bedroom non-renovated suites are good too. The kitchenettes are modern and bathrooms updated much like the renovated suites. One difference between renovated suites and non-renovated if the furniture. Renovated rooms have beautiful furnishings.
The hotel non-renovated don't have any kitchen or even a coffee pot. No coffee pot? That's not cool. No microwave or little fridge either.
The staff is terrific! They are attentive, patient and informative. If you need an accommodation, they will accommodate you if possible.
The timeshare sales pitch is quite masterful so watch out! You could find yourself falling prey to a "friendly" sales pitch without regard of whether you can afford it or not.
It's their business. Know they're doing their job and stick to your guns if your budget can't handle the cost.
Do I love Wyndham? You bet I do! If you can avoid or weather the sales pitch, this is an awesome company and the resorts across the country are worth the investment.

On the whole, it was OK. Yes, the furniture was mid-60's, but it served its purpose. On the whole, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The one problem I had was checking w/ the concierge about theatre in NYC. He explained the locations to me and recommended a play I hadn't already seen. He wanted me to take a cab, but I had been walking around Manhattan and I realized, looking at the map, that the theatre district was an easy walk from the hotel. He insisted on my purchasing the ticket through him. I told him I was fully capable of going up to my room and purchasing it on-line, and he said no, there were only 2 left, I needed to purchase it through him right then or I would not be able to get one. So I did. I said I could pick the ticket up at Will-Call, but he said the ticket would be delivered to the hotel, which I initially thought was a nice service. He charged me $89 for what turned out to be a $39 ticket in a very cramped seat in the mezzanine. I assume that was a $25 delivery charge for what I told him directly I could have picked up at Will-Call and a $25 booking fee for what I told him directly I could book for myself on-line in my room. In my world, we call this a scam.

Now that I am familiar with the lay-out of Manhattan, when I go back, and I do plan to go back, I will have purchased my theatre tickets on-line before going and will pick them up at Will-Call. I won't be using the concierge for any thing.
