This hotel is beautiful. From the time we walked in the door it felt like home. The valet guys were super friendly. The front desk personnel were very nice and helpful. We had booked a suite and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to one with a river view. The room was very clean and super well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was great. They have an omelette bar on top of a great selection of other foods.

Great hotel and wonderful staff! We stayed here the night of my wedding and the night prior. Rooms were large enough to fit my entire bridal party while getting ready and then some.

Rented 4 rooms online and had a comfortable stay.
PROs: The check in and out was quick and easy. All of the hotel employees we talked to were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The hotel was central to everything we needed to get to.
CONs:The breakfast served was okay. The hotel could use some “spring cleaning” and freshening up.

A very nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. The kitchen in our room had all the amenities if one decides to stay in and cook. Oversized shower in the bathroom. One of the better free breakfasts of the hotels we usually stay at. My wife loved the omelet station. Place your order and it's brought to your table. Parking is available by valet only. Good location for walking distance to areas on Southside. Would recommend and return.

Beautiful hotel in a nice area. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Our room was very nice, modern, roomy with the most comfortable bed. I would definitely stay again and recommend anyone traveling to the Pittsburgh area to stay as well.

Well kept place, close proximity to hot metal bridge and the path to the the other side of the river so we don't have to drive when going to the business side of things. Breakfasts are wonderful and staff is nice. One recent drawback however was the demand to show government ID since the room was booked at that rate. Give the real late check-in time (after 11pm) and the fact that every previous checking went without this, it kind of set the tone for the remainder of the stay

I did not stay as a guest, but rather attended a party. Hyatt House is in a great location and has a beautiful view of the river from the roof top terrace. The lobby and bar area are nice as well.

Great place to stay. Loved the shuttle service and people were very nice. The room was next to the laundry room so it was a little noisy, specially at night

We love this place! Every time we visit Pittsburgh, we book our stay at this hotel and have never gone wrong. The rooms are very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. It is well located to many good restaurants, movie theaters and many other attractions. Love it!

Wonderful service and excellent accommodations. The rooms are efficiently designed and the beds are very comfortable. An excellent place for extrended stays. They have a warmed pool and fitness center available, as well as a bar where one can grab a small bite to eat. (If you require more to eat, I suggest going to a nearby restaurant or ordering in.) The only real detractor is it's proximity to the train tracks. They do, upon request, offer ear plugs.

Very nice hotel. Although they say valet parking is included for $18/day, we parked in the parking garage across the street. It was $6 to park there. Depending how often you are leaving, the garage is the better deal.

Amazing hotel, good hot breakfast. Pitfal, Extra $18/day for valet service because the self serve option wasn’t available and valet fee was not communicated during phone booking. Valet quoted 5-10 minutes to return our car. Car was returned 20+ minutes later. Room was amazing!!!!

Love the reception and maintenance. The complimentary breaks fast is super good as well. The valet service is amazing and especially the drivers are very friendly and punctual. It has a gym, pool, laundry service and is situated in one of the most happening places.

The staff was absolutely amazing and the hotel room was better than I expected. It's also in a nice part of town and located to a few bars along the south side of Pittsburgh

Take our review with a grain of salt. There for a hockey tournament. Nice on River. Lots of walking options for food. Don't know much else around. Valet adds cost. They were great with us and all the kids.

We stayed here for a friend's wedding, and it was really pleasant. The breakfast was very good for a complimentary hotel breakfast, add it included an omelette bar and lots of extras. The venue is nice and the rooms comfortable.

VERY friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent food. Would give 5 stars if my bathroom hadn't smelled so musty.

Pricey for what we got. Lots of room, but thin walls and bare bones. Front desk people were very welcoming and kind. Had to ask for body lotion and shower cap-- usually tablestakes for any hotel. Didn't feel comfortable for a place that wants you to feel at home. Would have lower expectations if we didn't pay so much.

The cons: It’s not bad if you don’t mind hearing everything your neighbor’s do.... could hear the people above us do just about anything- even sneeze. I didn’t sleep well at this hotel at all because of that.
The front desk was clueless when we asked if they offered late check outs- they looked at us like we had 4 heads & said “I’ve never heard of anything like that before”

The pros: The rooms are pretty spacious & have kitchens, so if you’re staying for an extended time, that is convenient. The breakfast is also good.

Overall: It wasn’t a terrible stay.... but I don’t think I’d come back... :( for the $200 I spent for a night, it wasn’t worth it.

Excellent location, near good bars/restaurants. Rooms are huge, well appointed. Feels new, good value with included breakfast. Complimentary shuttle will take you around the area to business meetings, etc.

Great location, good service, and decent price. I brought my dog, one year old son, and wife for a four day stay. It was located well in respect to the places we wanted to frequent. Transportation in the south shore area is plentiful. I would recommend it to everyone. However, the parking fee is $18 per day extra. That part sucks, all of the other elements of the stay were superb.

We had a free night at Hyatt hotels that we had to use, so despite being local we used it at this Hyatt House. It was really nice. The room was perfect, and we were lucky enough to get a river-front view. It's really easy to walk to the various restaurants and bars of Southside. Staff was super friendly. Highly recommended.

One of the best hotels I've ever been. Nice clean rooms with small kitchens and utensils. Clean pool. Amazing staffs, and good breakfast options.

A wonderful last minute decision. Booked the room one hour out from Pittsburgh. Since I didn't have time to research, we were a little taken aback by the $18 parking cost when we'd really prefer not to have valet parking. But it turned out to be a good thing since we were able to leave a valuable in the van without worry. The service from the front desk, valet, and even Linda at breakfast, was exceptional. Loved the layout of the room, was very clean, and we even had a river view. The mattress was too firm for my hips, but I'm sensitive that way. I'll give the warning that we were in room 401 right next to the German Brew House and there was a loud hum of chatter from their patio until about 11 or midnight - and this was a weekday night. We had a wonderful evening walking around the area and a fantastic meal at the Irish Pub right across the street. Breakfast was tasty and had an omelet station (coffee was not our favorite). Overall, higher priced lodging than we usually prefer for a stopover, but a wonderful treat.

The Hyatt House in Pittsburgh was a very pleasurable experience. The customer service service was fantastic and staff were very attentive to our needs. One downside however was that there wasn't the best view from our room. Other than that our stay was very nice and I would stay at this location again.

The lobby and facilities were very clean, bright, and modern. The whole building was very nice. We were only here for a short time but the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints whatsoever. Would recommend! :)

pretty swanky hotel. Little suites with a sitting area and kitchenette. Small swimming pool, workout room with free weights and cardio equipment. Right on the water with a patio area. Breakfast in the morning with omelet bar. Bar and small plates in the afternoon. Right across from a shopping area and not far from Carson street which is all bars and vape shops.

Great location. Plenty of shops, food and a movie theatre in a couple block walk. Friendly staff. Room was spacious and super clean.

Amazing place! Staying here with my wife and 2 children. Small fridge and stove are a lifesaver. Room was very clean, pool was just the right size, and the breakfast was AWESOME! Valet service and front desk are very welcoming. I will definitely stay here again if we visit Pittsburgh again!

Stayed here for the second time in three months. Great location, very walkable neighborhood in close proximity to technology park across the river, dinner options abound, paid parking is a very minor inconvenience for business travelers (but may be an issue for someone staying here for leisure). As for hotel itself - nice, clean, spacious rooms with kitchen, fridge, microwave. Very quiet even in the morning. Breakfast goes above and beyond typical continental fare with made to order omelets.

Absolutely spotless hotel, centrally located, with stunning views. I didn't want to leave! Will definitely come back if I'm back in PIttsburgh.

I attended an outdoor wedding reception on the balcony patio that overlooked the river. First, the environment was beautiful, especially with the view of the river in the background. The wait staff were all very nice and helpful, and this was truly a great atmosphere to be in for such a joyous occasion to celebrate.

Great view, you are able to see the river on one side, while on the other there are plenty of restaurants. Staff was great and helpful. I recommend staying here.

I visited the church brew works for a casual business dinner. The beer was great and the food was delicious. The venue was fabulous- a real talking point. It reminded e of a German beer hall. I would highly recommend adding it to your itinerary.

This Hotel is very next to the River Monongahela River. There is Walking/Cycling Track next to the Hotel. There are Restaurants / Theater adjacent to hotel. Excellent Scenic place bank of the river. You will get relaxation at the river. From Hotel to Pittsburgh downtown you will get free Shuttle from hotel. you have to pay your car parking in hotel.

Nice rooms, clean hotel. I spend a lot of time on the road and I really appreciate a well-appointed room with a kitchen, a comfortable bed and a good selection of channels. It's also in a great spot near plenty of things to do.

Had backed up lines at my house. Got a room at an awesome rate for three days. Comfortable bed, clean, easy lay out for me (bad knee), the staff was friendly and amazing. This was a year ago I stayed. Breakfast was a nice hot delicious surprise, plus heated indoor pool. Better than where I live at the time. Worth every penny.

Location was good, as was the room. Not a lot of noise privacy - heard people blowing their nose next door. Literally. Only valet parking available, but they do have a garage. Just annoying since they don't actually take the cars anywhere. Pretty sure I could've handled pulling in the garage.

Stayed here the night of my wedding. Room was very nice and modern. Did not like the wall between the bedroom and living room, made the suite seem cramped. Excellent breakfast.

I attended a wedding near here. Everything was clean and it's in a great location.

Friendly staff. Valet parking is unnecessary. The garage was big enough. It was troublesome trying to drive with valet.

The hotel is located in the Southside neighborhood right next to the Hofbräuhaus beer garden. Big, clean rooms with a kitchen, plates, utensils etc. Gym is tiny with basic workout equipment. Simple breakfast is offered for free every morning but make sure you wake up early as they will finish serving it before 10am.

Nice standard room with kitchen. Loved that there are plugs and outlets everywhere. Living room section and bathroom are very modern. Breakfast bar was really terrible. The omelette station was so backed up that even though I had waited in line, she was no longer going to take orders.

This hotel is conveniently located next to shopping, dining, and the Southside Marina. I loved the layout of the suite, which had a kitchenette (stove, refrigerator, microwave, full set of dishes, pots and pans), dining area, comfortable sitting area, tv that could be viewed from the sitting area or bedroom, and beautiful bathroom, lots of closet space, plenty of hangers, iron and ironing board. A perfectly designed space, and beautiful river and downtown views from the suite. Breakfast was included in the room rate. The omelette chef, Derek, was charming and courteous, and made the best omelette, which he delivered with a smile. Linda, the breakfast room attendant, stopped by to say hello, and provided us with lots of helpful information about the area. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

They try to make it feel like a resident community which is fitting for the type of hotel. The rooms are nice modern suites with small kitchens and living rooms. Great views and convenient area to stay near restaurants and short commutes. Friendly service and decent free breakfast.

Great living room and kitchen in the room. Big fridge with ice maker in the kitchen. Some kitchen supplies, plates and glasses. Beds were comfortable. Modern bathroom with huge walk in shower. I didn't want to leave! Great location near many bars and restaurants too

Great location, great services, rooms very modern. I loved the location and the feel of it, however I can only give it 4 stars because of the no option $14.00 parking and one flaw in the room... the rooms light scheme was very odd. In order to get the lights on you need to put a room key in a slot to turn the lights on. Honestly, what is gonna stop me from folding a piece of paper and sticking it in the socket 24/7.and really, no locks on the bathroom door! I also do wish that the business center was in an isolated room so I can concentrate. It is so close to the lobby and in no confined area of its own. Highly recommended for anyone with a pet, or small children. I was in South side, Pittsburgh for a wedding, and the reception was at J Verno studios less than 2 miles away... this is a guaranteed great time for anyone planning a wedding reception or have a wedding planned.

My wife and I stayed here for a 2 night weekend - visited from SLC - and have nothing but great things to say about the staff, the hotel room and location.

The hotel being on the river with a paved walking path and amidst an array of restaurants and shopping made this location perfect. The hotel room was spotless when we arrived, and the modern feel made for a very comfortable experience. Only wish there was a bath tub, but the shower was very nice. Also, loved having Directv in the room.

The best part of our stay was the friendliness of the staff. The valets and front desk staff were very helpful and warm each time we passed by. The valet staff were particularly nice and had great attitudes. My only complaint is the 14/day cost for parking, not including tipping expectations. On that end, the guys parking the vehicles really make you want to tip well. How can you not when you're greeted with such a positive attitude?

Great experience at this hotel. Probably could have given it 5 stars, but no bath tub and expensive parking was enough for the slight imperfection.
