Gather and enjoy complimentary wine every evening from 5-6 pm in our living room lobby. It's a chance to shake off the stress of a long flight, relax after a day of exploring or gear up for a night on the town. As the wine pours, conversation flows. It's all in the spirit of helping you unwind, smile and maybe even meet a new friend or two.

Beautiful hotel with character and charming decor. Staff was very friendly and helpful with information. They genuinely seemed to care about our experience at the hotel. The staff seemed happy and pleasant at all times of the day or night. Our room was extremely clean and obviously well maintained. The linens were clean, no stains or damage. Great location for restaurants and shopping.

We took my toddler son who was turning 3 to Baltimore for a Birthday Staycation. He asked to go somewhere fun with his Mommy and Daddy and he loves sharks! Kimpton Hotel Monaco is centrally located in the heart of Baltimore and offers a National Aquarium Hotel Package. The hotel was super cool with a ton of historic decor and history to read about. The bed was so nice and we had a spa room with a soaking tub! I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Baltimore for work or play!

Where do I start! This place is beautiful!!! Its amazing! They treat their guest with the most upmost respect! My husband and I stayed there for our anniversary and we were wowed the entire time!! I love that the hotel is pet friendly and you wouldn't know by the rooms! Everything was beautiful! Valet is very fast and efficient! Everyone was really friendly as well! Let me say this you definitely get your money worth out of this place! If you need anything that you may have forgotten at home they seem to have it!! We can't wait to return! We will see you next year! Thanks for the memories!

Just stayed a night an we lived it it was nice an clean. Half a door on the shower was odd but whatever.
As for the staff they were very friendly an nice 👌
As for whoever cleans the rooms , I wouldn't trust them . We get home to see almost $12 to come out of my account so I call them an they say we had something out of the refrigerator thing in there which we didn't cause it's to pricey an I walked across the street to DD for coffee an a water. So to whoever they are that clean an just pretty much help thier self to the fridge an try to say it was the quest. I would never ever pay $9 for a water or whatever the price maybe for whatever is the fridge . I'm suppose to be getting refunded the money back but still haven't seen it but hopefully soon.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, perfect Baltimore experience. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the friendly front desk staff. The Hotel Monaco team goes out of their way to provide a memorable experience. Our rooms were large, extremely clean, and luxurious. As a previous hotelier, it exceeded my already high expectations. Thanks so much, Hotel Monaco Baltimore team! We will be back soon!

This place is beautiful. We were attending a wedding where our daughter was the flower girl so we saw many of their accommodations. This would have received a 5 star rating (easily!), had the a/c not been broken. It was HOT in there. Unfortunately they did not even mention it, they casually ignored it. On a normal day, when everything is fully operational, I have no doubt that this place deserves a full 5 stars.

I regretfully am only able to give the Hotel Monaco three stars. Pulling up to the location in downtown Baltimore the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and when you walk in it is even more delightful. The staff I met was very friendly and helpful. I was eager to check in after a long trip, but this is where everything went South. After waiting in line for almost 20 minutes I was informed that our room was not ready, mind you it is 5:00 p.m. Check-in is 3:00 p.m. This did frustrate me, but I am a patient person. However, as I was being checked in another guest called in and the attendant completely stopped helping me to take the other guest’s room service order! This transaction took over 5 minutes! Mind you I have driven almost 6 hours, tired, and already frustrated. He returns to me with a half apology which I do not accept. There is also a barking dog in the lobby making the situation a bit worse. Long story short we finally get through the check-in process and still wait another hour to get our rooms. For this to be a $200+ hotel I was extremely disappointed. I would have left if guests for the event I attended were not requested to stay at this particular hotel. Needless to say, I will unfortunately not be returning.

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor is a nice place to stay when attending an event nearby. If you are driving, the only parking available is valet and I highly recommend using valet. Just be patient if arriving on a day with any games at the two nearby stadiums or rush hour or events at the Royal Farms Arena as it turns into a cluster of traffic and double line parking waiting for valet. It can be confusing and hectic. The hotel is located in a perfect spot, just a couple of blocks from the arena. We stayed after a concert and couldn't be happier with the location. The lobby and complimentary fruit infused water are nice touches. This hotel is dog friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The king with 2 person jetted tub is amazing. The shower is also very large and has a rain shower head. We stayed in 909 which gave a great view. Overall I would stay again and especially if I had my pups with me. I think that I would just adjust my arrival time (a 3.5 hr trip became 5 hrs due to DC Northern Virginia traffic on a Friday during business hours) to avoid the valet wait of 15-20 minutes.

This past weekend, my fiance surprised me with a date night that included an overnight stay at Kimpton's Monaco hotel in Baltimore, MD! Although we only live about an hour away, this local getaway was just what I/we needed! Our accommodations were spectacular! Our room was very spacious and included a jacuzzi tub (HEAVEN!!!!). We dined in the hotel's restaurant, B&O American Brasserie, and the food was absolutely delicious (especially the duck wings appetizer and crab cake entree)! Lastly, I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge how wonderful the staff was, as well. Juan, General Mgr; Matthew, front desk staff; and Dominick and Caroline, staff within the hotel's restaurant all played a part in making our stay enjoyable and memorable.... I am looking forward to returning very soon! My fiance definitely raised the bar with this date!

I recently visited Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor as a member of a business conference, and I was incredibly impressed with its services and lodging! Modern decor and some of the most beautiful luxury suites in Downtown Baltimore, plus it has an indoor bar/restaurant that serves DELICIOUS food! It's located conveniently on N Charles St, well within range of public transit and quite a few of the hangouts Baltimore has to offer, such as the Inner Harbor and Power Plant Live! My room was clean, comfortable and worth the price, which honestly isn't in the affordable range for low-income families or individuals. For a businessman or a family that does well financially and wants a relaxing, pampering experience, however, I suggest staying there. The Wifi is high-speed, and it MEANS high-speed unlike most of the false advertising I've dealt with at Hotel stays. There's a fitness room that's well-stocked with equipment, and my mother enjoyed practicing yoga there. All in all, it is a five-star experience in earnest!

I loved the historic look and feel of the hotel. It is decorated brilliantly with white marble and gold accents throughout. The service was excellent! The only drawback was the lack of views from my room. It's location is not far from near tourist attractions. I had a great experience and look forward to visiting again!

What started out as a bad experience, turned good.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful! Old world steamer/travel high class.
First, the bad.
1. Valet took one look at my husband's truck and said they could not park it because it was too long. He had to find a place on his own where he could fit it! There were no limitations listed on the website. My husband drove up the block and around the corner and fit in an underground garage. We parked there for the duration of our stay, paying that garages fee and unable to use valet.
2. We had major air conditioning issues in our room which engineering informed us the hotel was aware of. By the 2nd night our room was 83 degrees!
3. The front desk was no help!
4. I contacted corporate after our trip. So far I have received a generic we are very busy but will get to you reply, in poor grammar!

Now, let's get to the good!
1. The hotel restaurant is amazing. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly helpful going out of their way to assist us with our room problems!
2. DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER!! Our waiter, Jay came to us and I was intrigued. He is outstanding! If you get him, co not let his rock and roll appearance fool you. He is professional, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. You are in for a treat.
3. The restaurant manager, Donald, likewise went over and above his duties to help us. He was always friendly and made sure we needed for nothing. He also got the GM, Juan, to assist us on the hotel side.
4. Juan stepped in where the front desk failed! Juan handled things as a proper GM should.
Even with the bad parts, I am still willing to recommend this hotel and the restaurant.

The guys at Hotel Brexton are fantasy. They put up with my family pretty much taking over the hotel for my wedding in October and they were fantastic. They dealt with the unneeded requests my family have them with a poise and patience that I don't have. My family is not easy, and they handled them like it was nothing. I love these guys. Not to mention the hotel is beautiful, and surprisingly up to date and modern. Lovely place, would 100% stay again even though I live in the city.

The hotel is very nice and elegant, with marble inside and an old fashioned type vibe. All of the staff is very personable and polite, especially the valets. The hotel is dog friendly, and our room was very clean with a nice view. They also offer cool amenities like a free glass of wine at night and free coffee in the morning. The only negative is the area around the hotel, which is the downtown area and has some shady characters and didn't feel the safest, although by no means is the ghetto. It was just more locals on the streets, whereas the Inner Harbor (only a few blocks away) is more tourists.

Fantastic overall style. Comfortable and clean bed. The only complaint I have (and it's very minor) is that the ice machine on our floor was broken during our stay there, even though we were told it would be addressed. Enjoyed my stay at the Kimpton very much. My husband and I stayed here for a fun weekend trip in Baltimore. Staff was courteous and friendly in all areas. Valet staff were very kind and efficient and check in was a breeze. Our room was clean and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaints about the room were that the minibar had a half drank bottle of wine in it left over from previous guests and that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. We called front desk about the wine and that was taken care of quickly! Great! The fan issue, well, everything was steamed up and stuffy after our showers. Other than those things the Monaco lived up to the Kimpton reputation. The hotel restaurant, B&O Brasserie, was great as well! The bartenders make really delicious old-fashioneds and the duck wings are out of this world!!!

Now this is a hotel.what a grand entrance. Massively tall ceiling marble floors and stairs. When I walked in there were models in a photo shoot that's how beautiful this place is. If you want class and a comfy stay this is where to do it. Great bartenders downstairs great food (try the duck wings) great amenities great location. The only issue here is parking. If you want to avoid the 20 dollar fee to get your car every time you'll have to Uber or park down the road at a parking garage. I'll tell you that the hotel quality is worth either of those things. I opted to just pay the valet every time.

I've stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Baltimore twice before and had a great experience both times. However, the quality of the hotel has gone down significantly since my last visit; no major problems so to speak, but an accumulation of minor issues that I don't think would have happened before.

Positive: Great staff! Especially Jerry and our bartender at B and O.
Negative: Decidedly fewer amenities. I used to receive a "raid the bar" $10 credit as a Kimpton rewards member, but I guess IHG got rid of that benefit. Also, I booked the spa suite but had to specifically request bath salts. Granted, I appreciated the hotel supplying these at all, but the website lists "bath amenities" as being included in the room.

Positive: Room was clean
Negative: ... But not if you looked too closely. Room key and some debris from a previous guest were left under a dresser, and there were some weird stains on the bathroom door. Also, the couch and chair in the living area were a little worse for wear (tears in the chair seat and the couch looked like it had been colored on).

Positive: The bartender at B and O mixed some great drinks for us.
Negative: The dessert was subpar. $9 for a piece of chocolate cake that tasted like it had just come out if the refrigerator.

Overall, the experience was fine, but Kimpton hotels will no longer be my "go to."

Entrance way is phenomenal. Rooms are large - beds are comfy. Only weird thing is no way of making coffee in your room. It's available in the lobby but this means getting dressed and wandering down if you want a coffee in bed in the morning. It does list 'coffee machine' as something they provide along with toothbrushes etc if you've forgotten to bring one! Service everywhere was perfect - in the bar, reception and the parking.

The hotel itself is very nice and a fun atmosphere. All the employees were wonderful and extremely helpful with any request. My one and only complaint was that the shower head in my room didn't have a focused stream. The water goes in every direction except towards you while in the shower. In conjunction with that, the shower head is also "low flow" this made it almost impossible to shower. I had to put my head inches from the water to get enough to rinse out shampoo.

The entrance is pretty grand. It's beautiful inside. The check in is on the floor above the entrance, oddly. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had an issue though. I was supposed to have champagne and flowers as a surprise for my wife. It was not there. I checked with them and they said they'd do it at 5. We went out and came back... nothing. They apologized for the mix-up and did it the next day free of charge. It was disappointing but they did their best to make it right. I loved the view of the city. Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, large, spacious room. Very clean and it smelled so good ("clean") when we walked in the room. Courteous and pleasant staff. I loved the text I received soon after I got to my room and the fact that I could communicate my needs (more towels, late check out request, etc.) via text and receive an immediate reply. The hotel is pet friendly which is awkward for me since I don't have any but I'm sure folks with pets appreciate it. I did not have a chance to experience the restaurant or other food/drink services. The hotel only offers valet parking, which was pricey but I will definitely return and stay at this beautiful hotel. Absolutely loved my experience.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. They were incredible hosting our family reunion and thanksgiving dinner for over 55 people. The staff was kind and courteous. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because we had a suite that wasn't fully cleaned when we arrived. We stayed for one night. At check-in there were freshly baked brownies and a complimentary glass of wine. Once we got to our room, I received a text asking if there was anything I needed, which blew me away. The staff throughout was very kind and friendly. The elevators were a little confusing and a quick overview of which one (the left) to use and to have your door key might have helped. Great mini fridge options in the room. I've stayed here twice and loved it each time. It's relatively affordable and close to downtown Baltimore. It has character like all Kimpton hotels, and this one has more than most. It apparently used to be a rail station or something, so it had a railroad theme. I don't know if all rooms have this, but mine had switches on the wall that would light up pictures of trains. It was kind of weird and unusual but really cool. I pretty much liked everything about this place: location, room, atmosphere, the Kimpton happy hour thing with free booze. That said, parking a car is really expensive, so beware!

The hotel is in a prime location downtown in a beautiful historic building. Rooms are clean and modern. Restaurant is excellent, but pricey. Breakfast room service is pricey and not served early than 7 am. If you are the type of person that feels nervous in an urban area, I would recommend staying directly on the waterfront. If you feel comfortable and confident in an Urban environment, I would recommend the Monaco to you.

I stayed one night on the 4th of July. It's within walking distance to the inner harbor where we had a meal and watched the fireworks. Its a beautiful hotel. The people are friendly, guest and staff. If there was anything to complain about, it would be the parking. They have valet and a 24 hour parking garage around the corner from the hotel. The only annoying thing was the valet parking. The hotels in the area don't have dedicated self parking lots. The valet parking was fine. We had no issues.

When we stayed here two weeks ago we were in the Mediterranean suite. The room was nice and very clean. We ordered room service once and the food was excellent its a shame the kitchen closes at 11pm so if your out late partying like we did if you think you need a late snack stop somewhere and pick something up before heading back to your room. Our room included a Jacuzzi bathtub that we tried out and it was amazing. I liked how you had to use your room key to access your floor on the elevator it gave me a sense of privacy and security from unwanted guests lol. The one thing i can think of is that it seemed one side of the bed had been damaged and it dent in in that one spot whenever my spouse sat on that side (he is far from big or overweight). Oh and if you do get the $10 raid the mini bar be prepared to still be charged if you take more than one sometimes two things out of there. $5 for a minute maid bottle of orange juice $8 for a bottle of water i cant remember the name of. $6 for a snickers bar. You get my point by now but we will definitely stay here again the next time we do a getaway to baltimore.

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is older but well maintained. The price is not terribly expensive. Excellent location close to many of the attractions in the Inner Harbor.

Staff is extremely friendly and the hotel itself is beautiful inside and out. The only con was the state of my room. The desk had a chip and the floor had a small circular hole in it by the entry door. Despite this shortcoming o would still recommend this hotel to anyone. Just make sure your room is appropriate before settling in.

Wonderful to see an old Baltimore building restored with good sized rooms. No problems with our stay, but they pulled the old trick of, after checking out with a zero balance, "finding items taken from the mini-bar" [none were] and charging the card on file. When challenged, they immediately reversed it. If you don't use mini-bars [ most hotels are getting rid of them], on check-in, have them lock the bar. Also watch out for the bottle of probably no better than tap water on the side table that appeared to be complimentary unless you happened to notice "$8" printed on the bottle cap.

I photographed a wedding (and stayed as a guest) this past New Years Eve and I must say I was so impressed with how friendly + helpful the staff is! There was another wedding happening at the same time but because of the layout you wouldn't have known. I only found out later that night when I was headed to my room. We never once ran into each other otherwise!

Nice clean place, however we were warned that'd wed be evicted if we continue making noise. We weren't in the hotel for even 10 minutes. I do admit we came back from the bar, but we weren't being obnoxious. We also booked the hotel weeks in advance and there was no problem when we checked in. When we came back from the bar later that night, our key card wasn't working. We can't to the lobby and we're told we'd have to pay a security deposit. I feel we were scammed and taken advantage of. I'll see if I get it back within 3-7 days like they said I would

Just spent a night at Hotel Monaco ( I think our 3rd stay at this Kimpton), celebrating our Grandson's birthday. As usual, you out did yourselves! Whenever we travel, the 1st thing we do is check to see if a Kimpton is nearby. Absolutely love your hotels and your wonderful people!

Service was wonderful from the moment we arrived. Check in took a little longer than expected, but they made up for it with a glass of wine and vouchers for breakfast the next day. The room was spacious and clean. They provided dog beds for our two large pups. The bathroom was very nice, especially the large soaker tub.

I've traveled to many places and stayed at many hotels. I am hard pressed to think of a better experience. Staff repeatedly Bent over backwards at my repetitive and inane questions. I really appreciate them loaning my client a wheelchair too. That wasn't a normal request at all and yet they let me use it. Room was very nice, but the couch had a few small stains. Room was otherwise flawless. Highly recommended.

Great room, amazing service. Met all of our needs and requests. The wine hour was a whole lot of fun too. Joining their club gets you a $10 credit towards the in room snacks which is nice to have too.

Pretty fancy place to stay in... We've spent just a night there but it was convincing... We'll probably come back soon... Pros: nice people... Suites are spacious...bed is good... Bathtub cool in the spa suite... Nice lobby... Nice front desk... Convenient valet service... Cons: noises from in and out... Lack of blankets... Expensive water in the room... But overall pretty cool.

The staff at the B&O restaurant in the hotel were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant. And food service was quick, although they did mess up my order. They corrected it immediately.

Everything was great, got the aquarium package in a Mediterranean suite and the spa bathroom was fantastic. Only complaints I had was the it looked like the wallpaper in our room was peeling at the ceiling in a couple spots, and it seemed impossible to keep the room warm.

Great hotel. Cool old building. Great high ceilings and city views. They ran out of snacks at the wine hour in ten minutes, so we didn't get any. But we got free wine. So no real complaints. The TV could be bigger.

The rooms were beautiful and large, the staff was awesome and super friendly, and the building itself is beautiful. Nitpicks: the duvet/comforter doesn't quite cut it for me (it was either to low and I was cold, or too high and my feet got cold) and the sirens. If I could move the building to a quieter spot of town, it'd be a five easy. But when you're trying to put a toddler to sleep and you have NINE different siren blaring vehicles fly by between 7:30 and 10, it gets rough.

I've never actually stayed in the Hotel Monaco, but I've had meetings there. The historic lobby is beautiful. B&O American Brasserie has a great craft cocktail bar and excellent food. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely enjoyed everything about this hotel from the staff, the lobby, restaurant, and of course my king spa room. We went for my fiance birthday and upon arrival we told the staff at the desk it was her birthday and thwy gave up a free bottle of wine and 20mins of us being in our room we got a knock on the door and was given three kinds of cake and a card from the front desk saying Happy birthday and was given late checkout. The room had a stand up shower and a huge two persons jucczi. The bed was plush and it felt like it hugs you when you lay on it. We only got drinks at the restaurant but the atmosphere was nice and the food looked and smelled gr8. We are already planning our nice trip back.

The B&O Restaurant is located in the Hotel Monaco. The food is standard American fare and brick oven pizzas. The food is great, prices are a bit more expensive than average and the wait staff is normally well below average. Great back of the house, not so great front of the house. But worth it if you have the time.

Very nice hotel at a great price in downtown Baltimore. Clean rooms, good AC, nice bathroom. Fabulously high 20'-ish tall ceilings in our room, wow! Self parked our rental across the street in parking garage to save a little $$. Walgreens a block, walk away if you need anything small.

The staff were wonderful; everyone was pleasant, courteous and helpful. The rooms, however, I found to be more designed around form over function. We had booked a king room, and though we confirmed a late arrival, were given a two double-bed suite in an 'upgrade' because our room type was not available at check in. The suite included a second room with bunk beds and Xbox which I'm sure a family would have loved, but for one married couple, the king bed was sorely missed and not much gained from this 'upgrade'. The lighting in the room was poor unless all thirty or so switches were flipped on, and the open shower looked nice but didn't make up for poor water pressure. Overall, a lower tier property would have suited our needs better for less.

Stayed here in a hotel block for a wedding. We received a slight discount because of this and decided to get a spa suite. The bathroom is rich and decadent and the spa tub is wonderful. I would have spent all my time in there if I wasn't so busy!
It is a bit strange that you take the elevators in the lobby to the first floor to get to the HOTEL lobby and check in, then get back on the elevator to get to your room. I was upset there was no coffee maker in the room, but upon check out I was told I could have called down to request one be brought to the room - wish that had been mentioned earlier.
Check in and check out was very hassle-free. I received an additional charge on my bill a few days later which I called about and asked about the fee. The woman I spoke to did not know why the charge was there and offered to reverse it for me.
Valet parking is $38/day, which is insane, so many of the wedding party walked a block and a half and parked in a garage for a fraction of that cost. You will not be able to find parking anywhere so it makes sense to park and walk everywhere.

We came to Baltimore for the weekend for a wedding. The location was central to everything. The waterfront is just down the street with beautiful views and all kinds of places to eat. The hotel itself is beautiful. There rooms are large and comfortable and the staff have all been very friendly. We were even given a goldfish for the weekend. I would recommend it to anyone and we will definetly be back.

Had a mid-week stay here last week. Location - perfect (aside from ongoing construction).

I think if you are going to market your location as "UPSCALE" - certain services should be a given. Guest services representative casually handed us the luggage rack, not asking if he could lend a hand to three women. Staff won't make eye contact or greet the guest first - hmmmm - that's different!!! But, when it's time to check out - smiles everywhere....."UPSCALE"

UPSCALE - why is the upholstery & carpet in the suite dirty - and visible? Why is there no microwave in the room - (eat in the hotel restaurant) - what if I order room service and would like to reheat my plate? Why is this tiny fridge stocked with overpriced items and have no room for me to put anything in it? Why is there linen for two guests only, when you know there are three guests - especially by day two, when you have seen us?

Glad you allow pets - scared to see a room where a pet has stayed.
