I could feel the historic significance within moments of arriving here. Being this close to the western wall and old city is a feeling unlike anywhere in the world. Stay at this hotel.

Elegant, sophisticated, and historical. So much history here. The elegance and ambiance tell a story....but if the walls could talk in this magnificent hotel, I can only imagine the stories they would tell.

Gorgeous hotel in the perfect location next to the old city. I was lucky enough to have a room with a view of the Old City and it was magnificent! The Israeli buffet breakfast is the nicest I had anywhere in my two week sojourn in Israel

Best hotel in Israel although the only floors that have been renovated are the top two (5,6). Stunning ottoman style lobby and best pool in Jerusalem. There are views of the old city and the tower of David. Luxurious rooms even on the un-renovated floors. Amazing food. It is a classy, British hotel and the decor is classical. There is a walk of fame with all the signatures of celebrities, presidents and famous people who came to stay at this hotel

This is an upscale hotel in Jerusalem. The staffs are very friendly and courteous. They are alway avaiable and gladly to answer anything.

For your next time in Jerusalem, make your stay at the King David Hotel.

Good chances are that staying here will be a bit above your vacation budget, but this place is so legendary and exquisite, I still encourage you to come for a breif visit.
With its very central location you can enjoy a walk in the area - for example, visit Yamin Moshe, Montefiore Windmill, First station - and then come here to have a cup of tea or coffee, or maybe even a lunch?
Soak up the atmosphere of this historical place, let your imagination fly about meeting one of all those most important people in the world who stayed here throughout the years.

My wife and I just spent 10 glorious days at the King David. From the very first introduction until we left, the stay was amazing! Rarely can you enjoy pampering with a strong connection with history. The King David Hotel has a soul. It was a real pleasure interacting with all the professional staff and in particular the waiters in the dinning room. The morning buffet was extraordinary! We felt like royalty! We look forward to returning to Jerusalem and the King David next year.

There are definitely fancier hotels in Jerusalem. There are places with better views, bigger rooms and more extravagant interior design. But you can’t imitate or fabricate history. The king David’s rooms and hallways are full of stories, and there’s just no way to compete with that.

My wife and I ate at the restaurant at the King David Hotel years ago. For us, a once in a lifetime experience. Waiters were impeccably dressed. Bring a few hundred dollars with you. Exquisite.

I visited King David while touring Israel with my family. We are Christian, and had no idea it was the Sukkot holiday! Because of the holiday there wasn't much hotel staff, I couldn't get a cappuccino at breakfast, service to the room was slow, and the staff wasn't as friendly as I was expecting for the price. It was completely my fault for booking during a holiday, but I expected something at the Ritz Carlton level, and while the staff was very nice, no one went out of their way to make us comfortable. I might return one day, but only after I check the calendar! Great location.

A classic Grand Hotel with a very solicitous staff that makes you feel very comfortable. We went for lunch and had a very pleasant time. Their menu could use a an upgrade especially considering the number of French guests, a little fancier selection would be nice.

A landmark property with a magnificent view. An ultimate experience. Cannot give 5 stars due to service, which is hit and miss ranging from fantastic to total indifference. But would stay here again.

King David Hotel - the best hotel ever at Jerusalem area!
The hotel has it's own part in history of modern Israel. The style of architecture and design inside is a mix of European and Easter architecture's are a strict classic.
The best location in Jerusalem gives to every guest possibility to feel himself as a King because of the amazing view to the Old City and close distance to many of the main attractions and the best restaurants in the city.

Great hotel and certainly the best in town. Excellent rooms and service and wonderful location and views in a historic building. Food is very good and it's worth coming here just for work/pleasure breakfasts. The pool is large and nice and lots of space around.

Very impressive. Most international dignitaries stayed at this hotel while visiting Jerusalem in Israel. This hotel opened in 1931 is a landmark in Jerusalem outside of the walls of the Older City and Israeli modern history.

The dining experience was the best I ever experienced, The dining room staff are professional, kind and attentive. I am not giving 5 stars because when we checked in no one offered to help with our luggage even though they offered that to others, would say they are a bit colour preferential (we are from Nigeria) but that might have been a one off.

We were only there for tea, but it's a beautiful hotel. The tea and pastries were delightful. I will note, it wasn't a formal tea setting- just in the lobby but still, it was exactly what we needed after visiting Jeruselem.

Service at the King David is cyclical, from great to poor to great in 10 year cycles. Although the dining room is great, the people who handle the front desk smile and nod, but have trouble delivering on simple requests. The rooms also desperately need a lighting and television upgrade.

The decor, atmosphere and food is amazing! The dining room crew is the most professional I have ever seen! The reason I don't give 5 stars is the in the parking lot there use a security guard name Yoav walking around like a gangster speaking loudly in the phone while smoking...

Safest Room: one would have no excuse for not having a good night's sleep, given that he stayed in what is touted as the most secure hotel suite in the world.
The top suites in the King David Hotel are resistant to bullets, bombs and poison gas. The hotel, which has a historical significance, has windows in its top suites with bullet proof and rocket-proof glass. The air conditioning systems are gas-proof in case of an attack.
Security arrangements at the hotel :The hotel's exterior is made of concrete and steel. In addition, the windows in its top suites feature bulletproof and rocket-proof glass, while the air conditioning systems are gas-proof. Every member of the King David's staff is vetted by Israel’s Shin Bet security service.
Even if the whole hotel blows up, the suite will remain in one piece. There might be a few broken pieces, but nothing will happen to Modi. On an average, a room at the King David costs $1,500 per night. Extrapolating that, the cost of just booking the hotel would be $165,000. So, in Indian rupees, the hotel would cost Rs 1.07 cr per night. There are several overheads which would be added to that, such as the cost of hiring additional security and the Israeli intelligence and security service.
Among the famous guests here are Presidents Richard Nixon , Gerald Ford , Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton , George W. Bush , Barack Obama, and Donald Trump; British Prime Ministers Winston Churchill, Herald Wilson, Margaret Thatcher, John Mayor, and Tony Blair; Indian Prime Minister  Narendra Modi; Charles, Prince of Wales, Elizabeth Taylor ; Richard Dreyfus; Madonna; and Hillary Clinton.

Not 5 star hotel but overall very nice. Was very noisy with kids running and screaming in the hallway at all hours. Pool area was very messy with trash and trash cans were overflowing. Service was ok but 4 star service. Had a wonderful view of the old city. Our room was very nice and comfy. Turn down service is not 5 star quality barely 4 stars if that. DO NOT stay here during a jewish holiday, you will regret it. Rude people and unruly kids that run wild at all hours. A bit over priced for what you get. I would stay here again if it was not any jewish holiday.

The perfect hangout for cheap, cultured lushes...( prob gold diggers too). We couldn't afford a night at the King David but that didn't prevent us from enjoying the fine bar! Extremely reasonable prices, classy and elegant with the extra added value of a historical building where you can take a walk down history lane and see the signatures of all the famous guests ( Ben Gurion & Bono to name a few that start with B) and some rare photos.
