What a gorgeous place! The staff are genuinely lovely, helpful and friendly. Bar price were good for a hotel. The rooms were superb. The outlook from ours was over the lake.

The room was clean and tidy and we had a nice quiet sleep due to the location of the hotel.

Went for a short break. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was lovely, especially the breakfasts. Bed was comfy and blackout curtain was great. Surroundings were gorgeous - large pond, established gardens and The Wrekin on the door step! Lovely and quiet. Decor was outdated - very red and gold / chintzy. Sad big let down was cleanliness - linens were clean, but dust everywhere, cigarette butts on balcony area, hairs in bath, and hair clip and a wrapper on the floor - so it had not been cleaned very well. Landing and stairwell windows were covered with dead insects. Would be perfect if it was updated and more attention paid when cleaning.

Easy enough to find, the room was neat and tidy and food and drink was good. The gym was decent enough and all in a good stay

We attended Buckatree Hall hotel for a wedding that was splendid. We were happy with our room apart from the cobwebs in the right hand corner of the curtains. Bed and bathroom were very clean. Gorgeous, thick fluffy towels. An ample amount.

Normally, when we've stayed at hotels, when a function finishes, one bar remains open for guests at the hotel; jusually the night porter on duty will always serve drinks to those staying at the hotel. Buckatree Hall hotel had no late bar and no-one on duty to help with queries.

My husband mislaid his suit jacket and tried to find a member of staff (it was 1am) but there was absolutely no-one present.

All in all, a very good place for a function provided you are happy to cease festivities at midnight.

Only stayed for one night but the hotel was pleasant enough. Nice location for getting out in the country, either Ercall wood or up the hill if you are energetic. Had a nice room on the second floor with skylights giving it an airy feel. Food was pretty good and service efficient and friendly.

Nice hotel in a beautiful location. We had problems with our rooms but they were quick to rectify them. Bathroom was nice and clean.

Great service bar a bit pricey beware!!!!! Staff are very helpful and friendly rooms are of a good size our room 103 r/h side door broken above wardrobe they must have had a problem with water coming through the ceiling as there was a large damp patch with some of it hanging down But it didn't stop us enjoying a lovely relaxing few days a special thanks to Kat (reception)

I stayed here about 2010 and this was a great high quality hotel but when I stayed again January this year (2018) the quality has dropped, the heating in the room was broken and a little portable heater put in, this had broken feet and we couldn't put it on as we were worried it would fall and cause a fire, woke up about 3am absolutely freezing, went searching for staff member to get extra quilt, took ages to find the 1 person on, then he never had a clue where to get anything, we ended up sleeping with our clothes on. Hallways poorly decorated, paper ripped, dirty walls etc 1 radiator in hall leaking causing wet carpet, just felt run down and unloved

The food here is second to none and I've been here every January for 6 years now and had the same quality of service and enjoyment each time.
Also after a good night the breakfast the morning after helps cure the hangover

Very quiet, food isn't good. The staff were nice and helpful. Overpriced for what you get. The online menu is misleading. Would be nice in summer maybe just to stay and have a few drinks, definatley go elsewhere for food.

Located very close to Wellington Town centre but far enough away for it to feel like it's out in the countryside. First impressions were good, on closer inspection some of the decor is a bit tired. Noticed the bin and kettle were very aged. Bed comfy and bathroom adequate.

Fabulous hotel, lovely views, food was delicious, staff were helpful and very friendly, loved our room and lovely four post bed, only negative point is if you decide to stay over the weekend, don't let them give you room 108 as you are right above the room they use for tribute night's, parties and wedding receptions and it was awful on both our night's, so loud and it was like drumming in your head no matter how loud you had your tv On, we'd still return but too a different room. X

Our stay here was brilliant. The food was amazing. The prices are reasonabley priced for a hotel. Staff couldnt be more helpful. Gonna take some friends back to show them how nice it was. The bed was so comfy .

Decent hotel near the Wrekin. Decor a little outdated but rooms a good size with comfortable beds and some have views over the garden and small lake. Restaurant and a bar which serves more reasonably priced good food. Staff friendly and helpful. Can get busy at weekends with groups staying .

Nice quiet location and some rooms lovely views over countryside or lake. Unfortunately my room's view was a flat roof with air vents a blank wall and windows of the adjoining corridor. Not inspiring. Also no drawers to put clothes in so had to leave most of my clothing in suitcase. Apart from these moans it is a lovely place with friendly staff.

Easy parking. Great location. Room as requested and overlooked Lily pond. Very slightly dated. Didn't have a meal as it was a hurried visit. Definitely book again .

Nice hotel tucked away in the heart of the forest. Nice and peaceful and away from it all. They have regular entertainment so it's worth keeping in touch with the hotel. Would luv to stay here for a weekend. It's not far from Shrewsbury and perfect for Telford and Ironbridge. It's also a perfect setting for a wedding.

Beautiful setting amongst the trees. Lots of rooms have balconies with views over a lake with water lilies and walk over bridge. Restaurant is set out so you aren't too close to the next table. Lovely patio outside. Staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Probably the best hotel we've stayed in within the UK.

Very good overall, hotel is in a good location near to motorway about 2 miles away and in located in a wonderful scenic woodland. Plenty of parking and is suitable for the disabled.Staff are friendly and the food is also very good. Breakfast is buffet style (self service) The rooms are clean but found that they don't put enough tea and sugar out (2 tea bags and 4 sugars) (one day they did't refill the sugar). The room I was in had a good view and most seem to have a balcony. Even though I make my bed I would have thought they would have re- made it to make it look as though it hasn't been slept in. One disappointment ( just a little niggle really, where I was sat in the dining room next to the window and fire door there where dead fly's on the raised area.

Came to the hotel to attend a wedding reception. The staff were attentive, especially the main gentleman (I have unfortunately forgotten his name). He made sure that everything went without a hitch but was also very friendly with the guests and would do what he could to help. Food served was delicious during the wedding breakfast and also during the evening buffet. Would definitely recommend this venue in the future.

Lovely setting for a hotel, views can be had from rooms. Staff are great, but dining needs some improvement by management as it is quite slow between courses. I would ( and will) return.

We went for an evenings entertainment and that's what we got. The meal we had was excellent and the waiting staff were very good. Would definitely return to this venue.

When I booked the room there was chance for an upgrade if I shared on social media, I did, but surprise surprise no upgrade, I know it's subject to terms and conditions, but if you offer an upgrade it should be feel it should be done as a matter of course. We did enjoy a complimentary drink, but it took ages to get served, after ringing the bell a few times, we ended up going to search for someone. We would've had a second drink, only the staff didn't respond to the bell again. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. And unless there is another family "do" again I doubt we'll be back.

Really nice place good food and great staff. The rooms seem spacious and clean only a few that over look the car park. We spent our anniversary here and had a great visit.

Hotel is in a nice quiet location with a nice garden. Rooms are decent sized albeit a little dated with some fittings loose and I quite warm with no air conditioning. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout.

I got married there this March. It went off without a hitch the staff, food, accommodation were absolutely fantastic and made our day even more special

Really great stay this weekend after using a BuyaGift voucher. Lovely clean room, quiet evenings, balcony with lots of fresh air and a great view over the gardens. Full English Breakfast both days and welcoming feeling by all staff in reception, restaurant etc. Highly recommend this place for anyone exploring Shropshire as its in a lovely quiet countryside location but just a few miles from major towns and shopping/attractions. Ironbridge, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Telford all just a short distance away.

The only very slight negative was that when there is a function on the car park gets full so you may have to park over the road or on the road outside the hotel. Not a huge problem, still well worth 5 stars, but worth noting.

10 out of 10 great hotel staff very friendly rooms spotless beds comfy food enjoyable the hotel is situated in a very quiet sedate well almost in the country side very relaxing will definitely go again xxxxx

Food was tasty and waiting staff very friendly. Bit of miscommunication about room service and we were left seated at our table without us knowing if it was ok to leave or not (signing for bills etc). But room was decently clean and warm and had a good nights sleep. Scenic view was ok. Overlooked the garden and pond with a car park at the back but it was very quiet and peaceful.

New year's day lunch. Excellent value for money, fantastic service, good food and appropriate size portions, can't rate it highly enough!

Very friendly staff and good food. Nice location which is ideal for walking around the adjacent Ercall forest or climbing the nearby Wrekin hill. Hotel grounds are small but have a lawn and duck pond to relax around.

Nice venue. could do with updating the wedding shelf as you walk in looks a little tired doesn't give off that first impression. The wedding room was lovely and the wedding Lady was lovely too.

I attended my best friends wedding on the 11th ohlf June 2016 and I couldn't praise the Bukatree Hall Hotel enough, the staff were amazing, location fantastic, food was delicious and they helped make the day room amazingly smoothly and perfect! Would definitely give more than 5 stars if I could! Thankyou to all at the Bukatree!!

Popped in to the hotel restaurant as a couple just for Sunday lunch. Staff were excellent. Professional and efficient. Food was also very good. Well presented and well cooked. Portions are not large and we managed 3 courses very happily.

Will definitely be back.

I found the staff very eager to help and the surroundings were enjoyable.

The Iron Gorge Museum was only up the road so a good find and worth a visit.

We arrived Sunday 1st Nov 2015 good welcome, when we got into our double room we found towels for one and tea facilities for one, when we told the staff they put things right and apologised, later on We noticed the dusting wasn't done properly This was reported the next morning which was put right. Other than that we found in general the hotel was a nice place and the staff was very polite and helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel except breakfast which could have been better as it was not freshly cooked.

stayed at the buckatree hall hotel for my husbands birthday had four poster room very nice clean and well presented .staff at hotel were polite and courteous and nothing was to much trouble will definitely be staying again will take family next time lots of different things to do lots of woodland walks and Ironbridge to visit 5 ***** jmj196500

I attended the bi-monthly Network of Women Shropshire Chamber event which was held at Buckatree Hall. The restaurant was pleasant with enough space for all of the guests. The space worked nicely for an informal networking event with refreshments kept warm and refilled as needed. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. We had a hot buffet style lunch which was adequate for the event however some information could have been provided as to what foods were out.

Just had my Daughters wedding at the Buckatree, what a wonderful day it turned out to be. Can't fault the service we recieved, Thank you Pete the wedding organiser nothing was to much trouble,and to Wayne the manager and all the staff well done you were all fantastic. The rooms were spotless, food was lovely, grounds and lake made a beautiful setting for wedding photos.
would highly recommend this hotel.
