San Vigilio is a Benedictine abbey built during the Lombardic period whose presence was documented as far back as 1104. It was later rebuilt, commencing in 1443, at the behest of the Bishop of Bergamo. The Vallombrosian monks from the Abbey of Brescia completed construction work in 1481. Thanks to careful restoration work, the structures returned to their original splendour and the church was re-consecrated. Mass is celebrated there every week and will also be available for private ceremonies.
