Eriksberg Hotel and Nature Reserve
Like a wild African lodge in the south of Sweden Why go to Africa? Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve is the biggest safari park in Scandinavia and offers accommodation with a very high standard surrounded by wild animals. The buildings are from five different centuries, each with its own character.
Each room has a different theme, revolving around the animals and the nature. The relaxation-area with a sauna and outdoor Jacuzzis on the veranda of the main building has an amazing view overlooking the Savannah where the wild animals use to graze.
In our restaurants the food and the drinks are truly unique and the base in our cuisine is, of course, the locally produced game.
Today we have red deer, fallow deer, Père Davids deer, mouflon, wild boar and European bison in the park which is, with the enclosed area of 915 hectares, one of the most extensive in northern Europe.
Eriksberg is located in the SE of Sweden, easily reached by plane, train or car. The hotel is surrounded by a safaripark which is more than 900 hectares. The propriety has 3 lakes and borders the sea with a rich birdlife and we have the world's largest stock of the rare red water lily.

Nice trip with family. But restaurant not that great. We had to sit among a lot of flies while eating and nobody in the staff cared about asking us if we were bothered by it. The guests were given flyswatters instead.

Nice drive around the safari park. Felt a little like being in Jurassic Park 😆 Nice scenery and a good way to experience the animals in their natural habitat. Good facilities for families with children in all ages.

We went here to go in a safari trip and saw deer, bison, pigs, ducks and a huge bug we think might have been a ekoxe. The animals were quite far away and hard to see, but the scenery and nature was beautiful. We also had lunch in the restaurant and I'd give the chef 5 stars as the food was excellent.

Went on a safari trip with the air. Great scenery and nature. We saw many animals (wild boars, deers, an eagle/or hawk (not sure), geese, ducks...but no bisons. The great thing about it was to know that they lived freely on the property and it was a priviledge to experience the animals in their "natural" habitat. There was also a great restaurant and children playground.
