Das Holiday Inn in Dresden ist bestens gelegen, wenn man einen kleinen Städteurlaub dort verbringen möchte. Man kommt unkompliziert und schnell zu Fuß vom Bahnhof dort hin. Es liegt direkt in der Altstadt und man kann zu Fuß sämtliche Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen. Der Stadtrundfahrtenbus hält fast direkt vor der Tür und wer lieber Shoppen gehen möchte kommt von dort aus ebenfalls voll auf seine Kosten. Man hat eine schöne Aussicht, nettes Personal ein gutes Frühstück und sehr schöne Zimmer. Wer möchte kann unten in der Bar oder vor dem Hotel noch einen Drink zu sich nehmen. Restaurants aller Art sind schnell zu erreichen, es gibt hier reichlich davon. Eines steht fest, wenn ich wieder mal in Dresden bin, dann wieder in diesem Hotel.

The property is located very very close to Tram line connecting to main railway stations. Major attractions are very close and within walking distance. Staff at receptions helps by providing a map too. Rooms are spacious with all basic amenities.
Value for money.

The hotel is at a great location. Its staff is very nice and friendly. The breakfast was also very good. I would recommand this facility.

Pros : Modern. Well equiped. Coffee and tea service in room. Very good shower room with even a blue night lamp.
Cons : Can hear our next door person snoring at night.

Perfectly placed to tour the old town or go shopping. It is 100m away from the Christmas market. Very clean rooms and helpful staff.

Enjoyed our stay, but was disappointed with house keeping. If we left towels on floor, they would take them but not replace. Had to get more from front desk. Other than that, since they had ac and temperature was unusually warm, stay was great!

Good and clean rooms, vast shower... very good for two people, if you know what I mean. Breakfast can be more sophisticated, if you stay here more than once or more than a few days you can get bored it very quickly.

I like Holiday Inn chain because I know what to expect. Usually they are well maintained with good service and this one is no exception. Good choice for breakfast (compared to other HI Expresses) which lasts until the end of breakfast time. Hotel location is simply fantastic - just few minutes from Altstadt, near shopping centre and in front of cheap parking. Stay here 2 days and you will be able to see Dresden inside out.

Nice place to stay. Very close to city centre and shopping malls, food joints. The tram station is right in front of the hotel. Breakfast options are too good. Room service is good. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Prices are costly but worth the money. Very close to zwingler, fraunkirche and other tourist attractions. Hop on hop off stops are right in front of hotel. Also walkable from main train station. My stay was good.

Yummy breakfast. Wifi was weak inside rooms. Good customer service. As it is at the Citi center , there was convenience for bus train malls etc. All the beautiful views in Dresden were just behind this hotel. There is nice church view from the room I stayed. I enjoyed staying here. Lots of varities for breakfast buffet. nice can service

Is a nice hotel right in the middle of Dresden. Is a great place to be close to museums and all. However, the beds are small, definitely not the size of the ones in USA. The bathroom is also small, but is nice. I loved the complimentary breakfast and for that reason alone it was definitely worth staying here.

We requested the breakfast to be prepared 30 minutes earlier than when it is scheduled to (06:00 am instead of 06:30 am) because of an important cooperative operation we had with the German Military Air Force and the staff positively answered to our request. Even though we informed them late at night, they had the breakfast ready at 06:00 am. I believe no other hotel would have agreed to help us this way.
I also suggest to rent some bicycles that the hotel provides.
If i visit Dresden again, i know where i'll have a convenient and happy staying.

Nice hotel close to the Dresden old town. The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious. The breakfast was simple but good enough of you are here for a few days.

Only problem is the WiFi, which has a weak coverage and the speed is also below average. For a new hotel this is quite bad.

Great location, nice rooms and good breakfast

This hotel has one of the best locations in Dresden. The room was very small but its expected. I didn't like the fact that i had to pay for the car parking as I believe it should be free for the residents. The staff were helpful, professional and friendly. I'd definitely visit it again.

Great place to stay. Within walking distance of all attractions. Kettle in room for tea and coffee. Good breakfast buffet. We also traded room cleaning for free beer :-)

Decent hotel good value for money. Location was good and staff nice. The wifi connection however was quite unstable and I got disconnected every 15 minutes or so which was quite annoying

Very busy breakfast, small but very comfortable rooms. Excellent position near to Alter Markt and Altstadt.

Location is excellent - it is short walk to the train station and on the edge of the old city. It is a popular hotel so breakfast gets quite crowded. We stay in a comfortable double with a sofa bed but the room has little space after the sofa bed is unfolded.

My family stayed here for a night, but we were all pleased with our visit, which cost €30 per person (given that the children were still under 18). The room was really clean, the breakfast was ample but most importantly, the hotel was extremely close to the Altstadt. The parking below ground had limited space (about 25 cars) , but it deserves praise for it's security (with two metal gates preventing entrance). Reception staff were also kind and answered all sorts of questions. I would gladly return if I had the chance.

The elevators need to be set differently as they do not give the ability to specify up or down making it extremely difficult to use them in the morning when almost every car that came was already full but still going the opposite direction that everyone wanted.

Hard to see better quality for little money I've put in.

Room is a little bit on the small side, but 4 people fit in the family room just fine. Longer stay might prove to be a bit tricky though.

Nice cheap hotel in the center of Dresden. Easy walk to City Square. You have to pay for parking in public parking lot near hotel. Hotel has no parking place.

Great location and very nice rooms. I didn't give 5 stars because I just can't give 5 stars when the rooms are so freaking small. I know its Europe. Oh and that stupid bell on that beautiful church out my window goes off every hour all night long!

Perfect location for visiting the Christmas Market which turned out to be a minute away. Only a ten minute walk from Dresden main station. Suited us perfectly for one night visit. Would go back.

Holiday Inn Express provides a clean, safe, and comfortable place to spend your nights. This location is centrally located in the Old City! It is directly a massive shopping mall, and it is 5 minutes walk to about anywhere in the Old City. It also has a tram station out front.

The breakfast is great. I would stay here again. It'll be hard to find a better bargain.

Das Personal an Rezeption z.T. beim Einchecken etwas gestresst.Wir wollten einen Tiefgararenstellplatz,es gab keinen.Am Nachbarschalter wurden aber Stellplätze Gästen verkauft,obwohl eine Reservierung der Parkplätze nicht bei der Zimmerreservierung möglich ist.
Die Zimmerfrauen müssten auf dem Fernseher, am Bettgestell und unterm Bett mehr auf Sauberkeit achten. Frühstücksbuffet war mit 2 Sorten an Ausschnittwurst (Streichwurst und Käse nicht mitgezählt) etwas sehr dürftig. Am schlimmsten fand ich den Kaffee zum Frühstück. Diesen Kaffee bitte keinem echten Sachsen servieren, ich glaub das wäre eine Beleidigung der sächsischen Kaffeekultur.
Zum kurzen Übernachten ist das Hotel ok..aber für mehrere Übernachtungen würde ich ein anderes Hotel vorziehen.

Rooms are small but adequate. We found the bed uncomfortable. The bathroom was nice. A few maintenance issues and a ridiculously busy breakfast area - good quality food, but good luck finding a table - keep me from rating 5 stars.

Overall ok hotel. However, the WiFi signal is terrible and almost non existing. This is bad when you need to do some work.

Service was great, room was quite large (701), and the bed was very comfortable. Overall very happy, the only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars is that the WiFi signal in the room was atrocious.

The room we were allocated for the night was very big and spacious. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful. Only issue that we had was that the wifi was very very slow on 7th floor

das angeblich freie WLAN funktioniert im Zimmer garnicht und im Eingangsbereich auch nur dürftig.

Personal an der Rezeption fanden wir eher unfreundlich und genervt.

Frühstück Getränke schmeckten garnicht Orangensaft und Cappuccino. Essen sehr einfach und wenig Auswahl.
Sauberkeit im Frühstücksbereich schlechter als in den anderen Bereichen.
Betten war sehr klein und unbequem, viel zu weich.

Parken pro " 24 h " 15€
zu teuer und auch nur nutzbar bis 14 Uhr am Abreisetag. Also keine 24 h außer man reist pünktlich 14 Uhr an

Leider habe ich bei meiner Abreise eine teure Strickjacke im Schrank hängen lassen. Nach meiner Abreise habe ich angerufen und meinen Verlust telefonisch an der Rezeption gemeldet. Mir wurde versichert, dass die Hausdame sich meldet. Leider hat sich niemand gemeldet. Auf meine Nachfrage drei Tage später erhielt ich nur die Auskunft, dann haben wir wohl nicht gefunden. Als ich mein Bedauern ausgedrückt habe, dass man sich nicht darauf verlassen kann, dass Fundstücke an den Besitzer zurück gegeben werden, wurde mir der Eindruck vermittelt, alsob man annimmt, das die Jacke nicht im Hotel vergessen wurde ... Schade!
Die einzige konkrete Ansage war: das kostet 6,99 Euro.

Hotel liegt mitten in der Stadt, vorne Shopping und hinten Kultur. Nahverkehr vor der Tür, Parkplatz auf der anderen Straßenseite. Lage ist super für einen Aufenthalt in der City.
Zimmer sind normal groß, modern, sauber und Bad mit Dusche.
Kopfkissen ist sehr klein, aber der Service bringt so viele Kopfkissen wie man braucht. Der Preis ist angemessen und das Frühstück ist völlig in Ordnung.

The hotel is nice and very conveniently located, within walking distance of all the landmarks in Dresden and also in the vecinity of two shopping malls. Parking is a very big issue, although not mentioned on the site - you have to leave your car in the one of the shopping malls' parking lot, admittedly for a modest fee of 6.5€ per day. The internet speed is ok (in the rooms on the first floor at least) and the bathrooms are nice and modernly designed. One critical down point is the fact that the rooms, although very neat, don't have a fridge, which is really shameful for a 3-star hotel. Also, the breakfast buffet is very basic and smoking is forbidden everywhere in the hotel.

All in all, I loved my stay here due to the incredible location, at a stone's throw from the beautiful old buildings of Dresden, but the few down sides (fridge, smoking and especially the parking issue) will make me think twice before booking a room here again.
