The Best hotel in Hamburg, hands down! The rooms, the location, the spa; all take some beating.

Spectacular roof terrace. Machiato was very nice. Everything else was too expensive to try ;)

Room is super with all facilities you need, beds are really comfy, staff are friendly and helpful, the best hotel in Hamburg.

Das Hotel begrüßt mit einer großen Eingangshalle und sehr freundlichen Angestellten. Das Hotel ist in einer sehr guten Lage mit guter Verkehrsanbindung. Die Zimmer sind in einer angemessenen Größe und sehr modern. THE FONTENAY ist nur empfehlenswert!

Keine Bewertung der Zimmer oder anderer Leistungen des Hotels. Wir hatten dort Arbeiten für unsere Firma zu verrichten, die nicht im direkten Kontext mit dem Hotel standen. Dennoch waren sämtliche Mitarbeiter zuvorkommend und höflich, auch wenn wir "nur" dort arbeiteten und keine zahlenden Gäste waren.

I must say it felt like I was on vacation. Spending my day on that beautiful terrace overlooking Hamburg. The prices were very reasonable for this type of establishment.

We were told at check in not to expect perfection because the hotel was still working out some bugs. This is fair, although it would have been fairer if the prices reflected this. In general, the staff seem completely lost, from the reception to housekeeping to, worst of all, the chaos at the front of the hotel for transportation. There appears to be no system for calling taxis (there are no app-based car services in Hamburg) or facilitating local travel. This is an issue since the location of the hotel is not particularly central and, while pretty, does not allow for simply strolling out. The rooms themselves are reasonably well appointed, although small (the balcony helps, but not that much in a city where it can't be used for most of the year). A big drawback is the bathroom: I thought that sliding glass doors to bathrooms had been left behind 20 years ago, but not it seems at the Fontenay. Obviously this means that if you are not traveling alone, there is virtually no privacy, especially given the size of the room. The high tech controls for every aspect of the room also feel unnecessary, although amusing. All in all, given the cost, the quality is not compelling enough to return.

Really great service. Once you arrive your luggage will be unpacked from the car and then they park it for you as a part of the experience. In the lobby you will be greeted by professional staff in exclusive chairs. Rooms keep great exclusive standard no matter your preferenses. SPA is included, one big indoor/outdoor pool, one steam sauna and one ordinary huge sauna, all with great view. Movable tv in room, nice balcony, separate bluetooth in all rooms (shower with cool lights and great music), automated curtains, included mini bar, safe to lock your things and a lot more! No matter if you travel for business or pleasure this is your best choise of hotel in Hamburg. Its a bit pricy but trust me, it’s worth it!

This hotel is more then all the pictures show online. It is worth every single euro , whatever the room night for you cost.
Perfect arrival by car incl valet parking, smooth check in, show around and arrival in the room.
Since this hotel is brand new, some information difficulties are there and forgiven by all means , because these minor things don’t change the total impression. A true wow hotel and thanks to the owner that spend all that money to build such a beauty.

Amazing hotel.

Endlich konnten wir das Hotels The Fontenay besuchen. Meine Freundinnen und ich wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Wir haben einen tollen Abend in der Fontenay Bar verbracht und die stilvolle Live Musik genossen! Die Cocktails waren sehr lecker, der Service klasse und die Stimmung war sehr entspannt! Wir kommen wieder!

Das Personal kennenlernen können trotz Aufbau vor Ort. Unglaublich viele innovative Lösungen und Ideen für eine individuelle Betreuung der Gäste wird hier in naher Zukunft an der Tagesordnung sein. Ein Blick auf Hamburg ist aus dieser Höhe unendlich schwierig woanders zu erlangen. Für mich ein hotel das bundesweit einzigartig ist und sein wird.

Ich glaube auch der Blick muss fantastisch sein , es wird wohl immer noch gebaut, aber wenn es mal fertig ist wird es wohl in Hamburg Nr. 1 sein

Es ist mir ein Rätsel,dass ein Hotel was mehrfach die Eröffnung verschoben hat und was ausser Handwerkern und Personal noch kein zahlender Gast gesehen hat ,bereits 4,1 Sterne hat.....kann so was real sein???Ein Schelm.der ds bei Böses denkt....😏😏

Wenn es eröffnet wird Buche ich mir dort ein Zimmer. Ich mag es sehr in neuen Hotels zu residieren. Freu mich schon.
